I think this World Cup break will be helpful for Liverpool and Tottenham teams indeed. But somehow I can't think the same for Manchester United. Because they still seem like they are on the same road as the one in the previous season. They are still struggling with the same issues. The issues with Ronaldo got bigger and they have parted ways with him as well. I don't know if they can come back stronger in the other half of the season. Maybe they will need some changes.

For example signing some new players for strengthening specific areas might be a nice help. They have dealt with finishing issues recently too as they have wasted so many goal chances. They will need Rashford and Martial both to improve their games.

When it comes to Guardiola I'm curious about his future at Manchester City. I mean there was a time I remember that he commented like he would think of leaving the team earlier than the expectations. Maybe it was only a speculation because he doesn't have such intention for now seemingly. He must be targeting to win the Champions League title first before even thinking of such action to take. If they become the champions this season then I will definitely be starting to wonder about this again.

Because Guardiola has built an amazing system for the team. After his departure they might enter a really interesting road depending on who their next manager would be. In case of such situation I would really like to see Zidane here.    He would be like the second best option to keep this team the same and even better maybe who knows.

As for the Bellingham topic I wouldn't be so sure about Dortmund to be honest. Because Dortmund always like to find this kind of talented young players and grow them to sell them for an extraordinary amount of money later. They couldn't do this exactly as for Haaland of course. Because he had a release clause which cost nearly nothing for Manchester City.    However Bellingham has no release clause in his contract now. Actually Dortmund were planning to extend with him by putting a huge release clause in the contract. But I don't think Bellingham would lean towards a new deal as he has big options in front of him already.

His current market value is already 100 million euros. I'm pretty confident that Dortmund would demand a much higher amount from this value. Still the interested clubs wouldn't back down from a deal to sign him. Investing into young players is a very sensitive point for Real Madrid for example.

England had a very impressive performance against Iran just as most people expected. They demolished their opponent by 6-2. I think that the penalty given to Iran was the right call. When I first saw it I also thought like how it could have been a penalty. But I saw later on that Stones pulled him from his shirt. This goal didn't change much for Iran actually. To tell the truth, I don't expect them to reach next round. Because USA and Wales also are strong enough to defeat them.

Maguire was surprising in this match. He was a nice help in the attacks of the team and he even had an assist to Saka by a header. He was nearly scoring a header as well if the ball didn't hit the goal post. I hope he continues to perform like this.

It has become VER - LEC - PER.  

The race was mostly boring to tell the truth. Perez made me excited first after starting to close the gap with Leclerc in the last laps of the race. But Perez lost an important amount of time while trying to overtake two drivers and Leclerc secured his position. Leclerc finished as the second in the driver standings by like a three-point gap. This makes me question Verstappen's attitude against Perez in the previous race again. Because if Perez got what he needed there then he could have been in Leclerc's position now.

However I believe both drivers deserved this position by fighting hard so far. Leclerc dealt with big problems because of Ferrari most of the time. There were some times he also made simple mistakes but it is mostly Ferrari's fault. Maybe if FIA didn't make changes that would affect Ferrari badly in performance then things could have been a little more comfortable for them though. But I believe Ferrari still need to make changes in their crew to decrease the mistakes to minimum.

Things aren't going well for Roma these days. After a good start to the season it hasn't taken much time for their form to drop down sharply. They couldn't win any match on the last three weeks in the league. This bad form caused them to drop to the seventh position at the same time. They are mostly the victim of their bad results against big teams of the league. Mourinho just don't want to make important changes against more serious opponents and this makes things easier for their opponents.

Mourinho should be open for trying something new otherwise this season won't be much different than the previous one. Winning only against weaker teams won't be enough by itself for them to finish the season at a decent position and join the Champions League as well. Joining the Champions League must be an expectation by the board too.

According to the poll there is a big hype about Germany. However I'm not that much expectant from them to tell the truth. Because we don't see the same Germany anymore now. They are much more vulnerable these days. Maybe the Nations League was like a preparation tournament for them also but their performance was really horrible in the recent times. Seeing that I can't be very positive about their chance for the finale. They might be eliminated earlier in case of facing a very challenging team.

I think England have the strongest squad among all the teams in the World Cup now. They just need to be managed properly by Southgate. If we see them different here then one of my favourites could really be them for the finale and even the cup.

Perez is very ambitious now after the last incidents between him and Verstappen.    He was impressive from the beginning of qualifying to the end and finished right behind Verstappen. If he was able to push a little more maybe he would have even taken the pole position from Verstappen. But this is an enough signal for the big race tomorrow. I expect Perez to have a much more solid race than Leclerc tomorrow. Qualifying sessions are the best times for Ferrari to show their strength. But even in qualifying Leclerc couldn't get past Perez.

In the race, Ferrari are still having the same issues against Red Bull. The strategies of both teams for these drivers will play the biggest role of course. But Red Bull make mistakes much less than Ferrari so Perez is very likely to finish the season at the 2nd position in the driver standings.

Tottenham are favoured to reach the quarter finals. However I'm not very sure about this anyway. Because Tottenham haven't been much consistent in the recent times. Not only in the Champions League but also in the Premier League I mean. They left their job to the final week in the group stage here for example. As for the Premier League they got many losses recently in big matches especially. There are some weaknesses in the team and Conte had better find a solution to that in this long break.

As for Milan they are quite decent in the Serie A but they are not as good as that in the Champions League. Even though Chelsea were having bad times Milan lost to them two times in a row for example. This means that they are still not prepared against big teams. While both teams are unpredictable I can't be sure of any side to reach next round. Milan are a much more experienced team in the Champions League considering their history but Tottenham have a great tactician like Conte at the same time.

I wonder what Potter is planning for the rest of the season. They lost 13 points in their last five match weeks and this has caused them to drop down to the 8th position. There is a 16-point gap with the leader now which is quite horrible. Something is wrong with Potter's strategies for sure as they have big problems in even the matches that they dominate completely. Besides they need to add a new striker into the attacking line as well due to lacking in scoring goals easily.

I don't know who they can find in January though. They have been in talks with Nkunku but he would be here in the summer even if they reach an agreement with him. I guess Leipzig would demand a lot of money from Chelsea to sell him right away in January and I don't think Chelsea would be okay to that.

This is definitely an insane offer to hear about. However it isn't too hard to predict the reason why Ronaldo has turned down this enormous offer. Because he wants to continue to compete in the Champions League so he wants to go to a team competing there. When it comes to the money, he must already have no problem about it. He just wants to continue to play competitive in Europe that's all. This has been one of the reasons why he has wanted to leave Manchester United.

After the recent incidents between him and his team I assume he will definitely leave in January. I've already heard that Manchester United are trying to part their ways with Ronaldo legally as quick as possible.

I have heard that Qatar tried to bribe some Ecuador players to be able to guarantee starting with a win on the first day of the World Cup. The amount offered is said to be like 7.4 million dollars. This is really unbelievable. I wonder if FIFA is thinking of any sanction about this attempt. It is a crime in the end but I feel like we won't see anything big from FIFA for now. They are the host country and I guess they won't just throw them out of the World Cup while the whole tournament is being played in Qatar.

But actually they should do so. Qatar can't prove anything by defeating Ecuador. So there is no meaning in such bribe attempt. Just because of wanting to start with a win ahead of their supporters in their country, they can't find the right in themselves to bribe anyone.

As for Ronaldo's possible next club there are some alternatives in Europe now according to speculations. These clubs are said to be like Chelsea and Sporting these days.

Sporting still continue to deny the speculations linking Ronaldo with them. Maybe they would like to sign him in normal conditions but it must be related to their financial status now. Ronaldo's current salary is quite big. He is said to be ready for some pay cut but I don't think the rate would be too much. Messi was okay for 50% to be able to come back to Barcelona for example. But this isn't the same for Ronaldo as Sporting aren't one of the iconic clubs for him.

Chelsea are in need of a striker actually because of having scoring issues in their domestic league. They shouldn't have much problem with money now so they would be able to afford Ronaldo's demands. I just wonder if they still have an interest in him now. Maybe their first choice might not be him depending on if they find a more logical option.

England have one of the best squads in the World Cup now. Their squad is like full of star players. But their main problem is team performance. The players somehow don't manage to play as strong as they do in the English Premier League. This prevents England national team from being more successful. They just can't use the potential I mean. I don't know if this is related to their manager but we won't be able to see it until we witness some changes in the team.

Southgate is rumoured to leave his job after the World Cup. There have been rumours about Steven Gerrard to take the job after that but we will see. I'd rather a very experienced manager for this solid squad rather than Gerrard truthfully.

Everything is going well for Arsenal for now. Whether they become the champions or finish the season at the second position, the expectation level by their supporters will increase highly. People will expect Arsenal to be consistent in every season from now on. Because Arteta has built a really solid team finally and they are benefiting from this a lot this season. There is a huge difference with this one and the previous one. I know that we are still nearly in the middle of the season.

But Arsenal couldn't perform this much consistent in these times of the previous season. After new additions to the team they have become a much more reliable team. Although Jesus hasn't been scoring in the league for around one and a half months this still doesn't affect their productivity badly. This is a great example of how you can play strongly as a team.

Things didn't go very well for Milan considering the last four weeks in the Serie A. They didn't get even one comfortable win in terms of score. They lost 5 points in this time period as well. This has helped Napoli very much as they are eight points ahead of Milan now. Milan might be in a big trouble as for retaining their title this season. They need to bring back their old performance and start a winning streak. They have no other choice for now as Napoli seem unstoppable. At least they can keep the gap at this point until Napoli start to stumble.

But unless Napoli maintain a very bad form it is very difficult for any team to catch up with them too much.

The Bundesliga has started to be going great for Bayern Munich again. They are back on track with the great results they have got for some weeks. Their current performance level is not much different than last season now. That's what I've been afraid of since the beginning of the season. Because like most people I've also got bored to see Bayern Munich's dominating the Bundesliga for many many years. They have already been winning the title for 10+ years and it looks like they will add another one to their collection by the end of this season.

I know that there are still teams close to him in the league standings. But they have never been as consistent as Bayern Munich so far. We have all been familiar with this scenario for years. Bayern Munich will just pull away from that at a point and become the champions comfortably. At least the first times of the season has been enjoyable so far as we have seen a different team leading for some weeks.
