1661  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk forum vs OpenAI - ChatGPT on: December 08, 2022, 06:28:27 PM
I’m sure advertisers will be running their own AI forum bots to bypass the need for signature campaigns. A whole new flood of issues is about to hit the internet me thinks.
That doesn't make them different than running a campaign without an experienced campaign manager here. Both will get the same output at the end of the day. I don't think it's going to be practiced by so many project as the post most likely sounds like teenage noobs.
1662  Other / Meta / Re: Does BitcoinTalk kill all my sessions when I logout? on: December 08, 2022, 06:13:12 PM
When you log out anywhere from your bitcointalk, all of your session will be logged out too. You don't have to do anything else to kill that session. I have my account logged in my pc where I don't usually log out but when I log in from mobile, I make sure log out when I ended the forum usage. It logged out me from PC too.
Did I get your question right?
1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular on: December 08, 2022, 06:08:12 PM
No bank would ever be happy to see bitcoin a success as that will minimize their fraud business scheme. I'm not surprised.

I came across this news on CNBC where standard chartered bank claims that bitcoin will reach 5000$.
Well, I'm not surprised that they said that and it's nothing of surprising prediction. Don't you think Bitcoin may reach at this level? I think it's very much possible too. We have seen huge ups and down in Bitcoin price from the very beginning of bitcoin.
PS- I'm ready to dump whatever I have @$5000/BTC  Cheesy
1664  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please take action on moonyjope aka Palinca89 (steamproject) Scammer Fake Guy on: December 07, 2022, 06:19:23 AM
which 100% shows steamproject aka Scalapota2@gmail.com aka Palnica89 is moonyjope)
Your screenshots prove that steamproject = Torent Invites on facebook and his email is- Scalapota2@gmail.com
I don't think other connection is good if I haven't missed anything. However, you must know that this screenshot can be faked and anyone can target other people to destroy their reputation. You don't have concrete proof. I would wait for other community members' opinions and judgment.
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are end-stage adopters going to be happy owning fractional amounts of bitcoin? on: December 07, 2022, 06:06:16 AM
Many people now cherish having at least 1 BTC. Other day, I read a thread where OP was looking for having at least 1 BTC. If BTC goes in such a huge spike, I'm sure people will someday cherish holding 100 mBTC at least. According to your prediction/assumption on the total holder of 4 billion, everyone will have less than half mBTC on average. Won't that make 100 mBTC a dream?
1666  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what are the disadvantages of paper wallet on: December 07, 2022, 05:29:21 AM
Code:
Address A, 0.1
Address B, !
"!" means sending all the remaining balance to address B.
Note that you may need using coin control feature to avoid extra inputs.
I always wanted to know how can I send the maximum amount without any confusion but never tried to learn lol. Had no idea about this. Thanks a lot man. Learned something new but easy trick.

You're technically right. Though this is something I don't expect the typical person is capable of doing correctly. Most people are simply a lot better fit to use hardware wallets.
I have used Paper wallet once in the lifetime though I didn't follow the secured method. In fact, I didn't know that wallet generating through online could be hacked. It was the beginning of my crypto exploring. I used that wallet for few months and then moved all the coins I had. After that, I have purchased HW and still using them.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: December 07, 2022, 04:50:32 AM
I think Spanish coach Luis Enrique did a terrible job in this match
He was terrible in this match? Come on my friend. He was terrible since the announcement of the squad. I see no reason to keep Ramos and Nacho out of the squad. Instead he made another version of Barcelona and the result is almost same. Welcome to Europa league  Cheesy
1668  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blocked Account at Satoshi Hero/Monster on: December 06, 2022, 08:00:31 PM
There's no proof that you have cheated with your referrals and similarly, you can't even proof that you actually haven't cheated with referrals. I don't think its something you can solve if they intentionally don't.
I don't know how much commission you can earn from them but when you want to promote a site seriously, you should only consider the best reputed casinos. Few months back, there was another accusation which ended in no result/step taken from the team.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need to join 1BTC club on: December 06, 2022, 05:01:46 PM
I may sound stupid to many others in the forum and many forum users may react like they haven't done it though they did/do.
Besides your real life job, spend times here. Be active, learn the forum, learn more about crypto. In return, you will be able to earn a good amount weekly through participating in signature campaign, offering different services etc. It's pretty easy if you save every sats you earn here.
1670  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what are the disadvantages of paper wallet on: December 06, 2022, 01:58:31 PM
If you create a wallet in electrum with a single private key and make a transaction, the change will be sent back to your paper wallet address and you won't lose anything.
I see. I didn't know this because I haven't yet tried it. I thought importing private key in electrum will only give me the address I'll import and if I can't specify the change address, where will it be gone? Thought in that way lol. Thank you anyway.
1671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what are the disadvantages of paper wallet on: December 06, 2022, 01:41:07 PM
I don't know should I call it disadvantage or a cautious- If I'm correct, when you import your paper wallet private key, you have to spend all the coins at once because if you use small amount, the change may get lost. So, first you should import the key and send all the fund at once into your another wallet. After that, you can spend small amount.
1672  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SatScrap Marketplace on: December 06, 2022, 01:24:03 PM
Edit: I tried to read their FAQ, and i guess the 10% deposit is misinterpreted for deposit. It is a service fee, 10% fee minus to your entered price in their, you don't need to deposit first but, once a buyer bought an item with a complete transaction, you will receive 10% minus of your product price.

I think you have misunderstood that. They require a deposit at the beginning of the listing. I have checked them. You can read the below part of text which I have found from the product listing page when I tried to list an item.
Quote
You will be directed to pay 10% of the price over Lightning or Bitcoin on-chain as a refundable listing deposit.
Check the listing page. You will find this page.

You're the only person I've seen who isn't involved in cheating.  You bring good quality campaigns to everyone.
Thanks a lot.
1674  Other / Meta / Re: Incentivizing moderation reports with millimerits on: December 04, 2022, 06:10:53 PM
This kind of proposal isn't new if I'm correct but it will also create a lot of more work. There will be new airdropped merit every time someone gets the millimerit. That means merit calculation will be different. Now, once someone reaches 1000 millimerits, they will get 1 merit and millimerit will be vanished. Will the record be there forever or until millimerit het reset.

If we keep altcoin section apart, I think there are a lot of people reporting the shit posts everyday. The number of the report is lower and the reason is pointed by LoyceV.
However, like adding badges to the profile, there are a lot of option to grow. I think having a detailed thread on which post should be reported or which isn't, would help people more to report. I'm talking about the standard of moderation. Sometimes, I feel bad when I see my reported post hasn't been deleted. It happens so many times when I have reported a post as off topic. What does off topic mean?
1675  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SatScrap Marketplace on: December 04, 2022, 05:41:05 AM
Why they require a 10% of product value to be deposited in bitcoin when I want to lise an item? Is it for avoiding fake listing or it's their escrow fee? I don't know how such escrow based marketplace works, I have never used any. However, requiring such a deposit doesn't interest me to list anything there. I was checking and trying to list an item for my country but step down when I saw ot requires an initial deposit.
1676  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase account Disabled to spend coin on: December 03, 2022, 11:18:45 AM
You can wait a few days more and of course check your email address if any suspicious activity was happened in your account.
How did you reach out to them? I've never used their help center, but it should show when you submit a ticket, if it's not there, check your email inbox.
They have a contact us page. You can write them your problem along with your email address associated with the account. I contacted their support a few years ago and I was able to get in touch after almost 48+ hours if I can remember correctly. I had exchanged 2/3 messages within 4/5 days lol. And luckily, my problem was solved.
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: December 03, 2022, 10:57:51 AM
Is everyone beginning to understand Not your Keys, Not your coins , or is it temporary because of FTX?
I think it's mostly the FTX tragedy, not something like people have learned about NYKNYC. However, a little percentage of people have learned what is a custodial wallet and we should avoid them. In one of my Facebook groups regarding bitcoin, people started to look for non-custodial wallets but before the FTX issue, they never bother to learn even despite my continuing awareness article on such issues. However, this is not the first time. There was mtgox exchange that had almost the same issue. Who has learned? Not more people than who have been the victim.
1678  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have lost my faith on bounties today on: December 02, 2022, 06:58:42 AM
Your channel basically consists of videos in which you shill various crypto projects, and it's the same thing innumerable Youtubers are doing since they're paid to.  Just watching the first 30 seconds of your second video, you can tell you're reading off a script.
In one of my recent bounty, I found at least 60-70 video submission if I can remember correctly. Guess what happened, none of them qualified for video reward. I had to remove the video bounty from the campaign and had reallocated the fund for social media bounty.

This is why you should never join bounties in the first place because it's hard to recognize which is one is the copy paste and which is one is the legit because anyone can just create new accounts to troll the bounty participants.
It's hard but not impossible. I'm not sure if every article I have checked was original or not but spending few hours would get the most common copy/paste author out of the pool. The problem is project owner hire campaign manager with small weekly/monthly payment which bring the worst quality in the campaign. Such campaign manager barely check the copy paste article. They simply give stake to them without checking the article throughly.
1679  Other / Politics & Society / FIFA World cup craziness like Bangladesh on: November 30, 2022, 10:01:28 PM
When FIFA world cup gets started, you will see flags of Brazil and Argentina everywhere in Bangladesh. In urban area, almost all the roof will be full of flags of favorite team while in the rural areas, it's a bit low but still the chaos is everywhere. Most people buy jersey of their favorite team. Everyone watches the matches with their friends, social media is full of Brazil vs Argentina chaos. In fact, the main topic of the country is World Cup and Brazil/Argentina.
I personally love Football the most but I don't like all these chaos other than cheering for my supporting country.
I would appreciate if you shared how your country take the FIFA world cup, how much excitement is there. It would be better if you attached your country name.
1680  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Mostly Betting Platforms promote their Website through Signature Compaign? on: November 30, 2022, 09:52:33 PM
You know how much visitors are here in bitcointalk. Casinos take the advantages. Besides, from what I have learnt so far, bitcointalk has a lot of high rollers. To get those gamblers, running signature campaign, building the reputation among the community is must for casinos.

Well, I'm a bit of confused. Did you by any chance mean why we promote casinos as it harms the general?
