1661  Other / Meta / Re: Could we add the BUMP feature to the Beginners & Help section? on: February 17, 2020, 11:44:34 AM
If you want to bump a certain post so that newbies get helped, you can simply post "Bump". If you are looking for the same as some other board has, I guess it's not necessary. That will eventually bury the latest thread because of not having enough bump.
Although there are some spam on going on this board too, the amount is not that much as well.

I guess the thread would get better response if you posted in meta. In fact, the thread must be posted in meta section.
1662  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CMC Liquidity metric on: February 16, 2020, 02:35:31 PM
It would be better if they use unique visits, time spent on each page, etc as a metric to 'rank' the exchange. It might be manipulated too but it will cost them a lot more than feeding fake API data.
That's too much of work for a site like CMC. I guess a dedicated website only for monitorong exchanges would be good. If CMC so much data, that would be looking scrawled.
I didn't check this feature of CMC yet but with coingecko, this feature is a good one.
1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 16, 2020, 02:27:20 PM
Bet on England and it seems i already lost lol
Same here but I am still hopeful that England will chase it. England has the batsman to chase such score. Look at the squad, they  have 7 solid batsman and all are good. Let's hope we don't lose the bet  Cheesy
SA was significant tonight from the beginning, that's good though.
1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check Liquidity Before you invest on: February 16, 2020, 11:10:28 AM
I would advice for most people to not try to trade crypto at all, it's a very easy way to burn your money, especially if you believe that you can find a "good project". Just holding Bitcoin is more than enough, it's growth rate is incredible compared to more traditional investments, but people get greedy and start looking at alts thinking they'll grow faster and higher.
Investing only in BTC is a good approach to minimize risk because BTC has liquidity all the time. But investing in altcoin has benefit as well although there are high risk. People with proper knowledge in trading can easily accumulate BTC through investimg in altcoin. I am not much expert. I have been studying some altcoin projects for couple of weeks. The goal is to invest some of my BTC and accumulate as much as possible. I guess that's not bad for your portfolio. Well, I agree that newbie must not get into these things without proper knowledge.
1665  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Awareness] Do not use online sites to create your "paper wallets" on: February 16, 2020, 11:03:40 AM
Is there any offline website that offers just the paper wallet design and two text fields to manually input your private & public keys?
You mean there will be box to write the key? Isn't it still same? Or you are looking for printing a blank where you will manually write down the key? That makes no sense.
If anyone is interested to learn how best you can generate paper wallet, you can catch up everything here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198310.0
1666  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Hhampuz responsible to pay $850 to Blender.io participants? on: February 14, 2020, 06:37:31 PM
This is more a reputation issue of blender, they supposed to release the fund earlier to Hhampuz. I really don't get why Hhampuz name is here. It would make sense if you were talking about blender reputation and their clumsy behavior.
If blender don't pay Hhampuz and Hhampuz wants to pay from his pocket, I would really hate receiving that fund.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for Dice on: February 14, 2020, 06:18:44 PM
Maybe some will have some hidden technique or strategy here but does this dice game really have? Dice have chances and based on probabilty there are countless chance you can roll the numbers needed in order to win.
I was looking for how much odds people used to play, how biggee amount they risk etc etc so that sometimes, I can also get some profit because most of the time, I used to loss on the dice game.
Thread has gone mega, bad luck that didn't make it self moderated. I am locking the thread now.
1668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Best strategy for Dice on: February 13, 2020, 07:28:58 PM
I used to lose a lot in dice games, i have no much strategy. I used to play at 49% winning chance but could never make a good amount to withdraw. I have tested couple of gambling sites but with dice, I never had win. How are you playing dice? What's your strategy to get the best output?
1669  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My bitcoin just disappeared on: February 13, 2020, 06:45:06 PM
Any question, i will try to answer as best as i can, in order to retrieve my btc.
As you said, a transaction was created from your wallet and your btc was sent; technically you have no way of retrieving the btc. You only can go to your local police and suit a file so that they can investigate. You have nothing to do as your btx has already been sent to another's address.
Trust me, it's not Electrum's fault; it's your fault, you got somehow compromised your device which you are not aware of.

It's not about not paying only. If I was about to complain about the payment, I would do it to Hhampuz because we get payment from Hhampuz I guess. It's about keeping in touch with the campaign manager and share a little update so that CM can share it to the participants. Now, we have no clue about the campaign, nor about the payment.
1671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scammers move 12k BTC - dump is comming? on: February 12, 2020, 05:04:01 PM
besides thats only 12k Btc not that big effect in the market or the price of Bitcoin IMO.
12k BTC is not an only amount. Look at the top exchanges and see how much BTC are in order. I just have checked bitstamp and the total SUM in sale was 4.5k BTC; it's the total SUM of sale order. Can you imagine what would happen if the supply there was more; certainly a price decrease and with a supply of 3x of current amount, price would significantly fall. Hence, it's not a small amount.

1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the 21M BTC supply promise realistic? on: February 12, 2020, 04:28:20 PM
It's true that everyday we are losing BTC from the circulation. But the ratio has decreased a lot I guess; back in the day, people wouldn't care much and left their BTC wallet without any safety. As a result, they lost the BTC but these days, it's not happening much because BTC has a lot of value and people do care. I guess this will increase much and at some point if BTC gets the acceptance as day to day currency, no one will ever lose.
To be vanished like "No BTC left", it will take a lot of times and I am damn pretty sure something else will take the place and BTC will not be anymore valuable.

Just would like to share Satoshi's great quotation on these, "Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone."
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Searches of Bitcoin on: February 12, 2020, 04:19:32 PM
I don't know if it's really because of the price, but it might be the reason. I am also wondering how much this search result number fluctuates over a longer period of time (is 33% a big deal or not). Moreover, does the amount of searches rise when Bitcoin is going down? So is it the fluctuation that causes the rise or positive news only?
Price of bitcoin and google trend for bitcoin has correlation. It's common though; whenever BTC goes up, more media, more news and more people knows about this. As a result, people do much search on google about BTC. Moreover, when price goes up, people used to have more information on it (My experience  Cheesy ) As you can see the trend was at ATH when BTC price was ATH as well at December 2017.

1674  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 11, 2020, 06:17:47 PM
because you want to save few satoshis from the transaction fee due to them using LN. Exchanges today I think will adjust their fees after all BTC goes 10k
That's not true. LN will give us savings on fee, that' true but you know you can never get BTC transferred into your wallet instantly. Exchanges require confirmation, fee is too high sometimes. Overall, with LN, the goal is to not saving fees only; you can send/receive BTC more frequently when needed. Moreover, exchanges can adjust the withdrawal fee, not the network fee which sometimes go much higher; for instance during 2017.
1675  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My Electrum wallet just got hacked for $35k+ on: February 11, 2020, 05:56:18 PM
This is what I got from Evernote. Looks like the hacker is from Russia or Romania.

What do I do with this? I live in Canada but currently traveling in Florida. Do I go to the police in my city when I get back?

A hacker would never be such stupid to use their own IP address. Probably they used TOR and it's pretty common.
There's nothing you can do other than file a suit. The chance of getting back your BTC almost zero. However, you must file a suit.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 11, 2020, 05:30:30 PM
Bad days for team India. Lost the u19 final battle to Bangladesh, got whitewashed after 31 years (last one was 1989). I was out of gambling for a long time because of being busy in IRL, otherwise could have realized  a good amount of BTC lost  Cheesy
Indian batting was not that bad but look at Navdeep and Shardul; they were way much expensive. Bumra was less expensive but failed to pick some wickets. What happened with Shami? Wasn't he in the squad? He was doing pretty well.
1677  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Some exchanges accepting Lightning Network on: February 11, 2020, 05:16:33 PM
But, I am a bit concerned about the list of exchanges your mentioned because not all of those exchanges are well-known and it can prove fetal for our monetary system to trust on any unknown exchange.
From the list above, I have no idea about SouthExchange, other than this, rest exchanges are so far well known and have no much of reputation issue I have seen. Bitstamp is one of the good and most used exchanges. Bitfinex isn't much popular though.
Others are swap site with a good reputation. There's no problem with these exchanges. Nevertheless, one must check and verify the legality before they use any service.
1678  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Blender.io - Advanced privacy for Bitcoin transactions (mixer) on: February 10, 2020, 05:07:19 PM
Yeah, they do have but for the information of everyone the last payment they should have pay to the participants hasn't not been paid yet.
That's really very unprofessional behavior from blenderio, no activity for more than 5 days now. They at least could have shared an update here with Hhampuz. No refill to the wallet even the week has been finished. I was also a participant of blender sig campaign and suggested blender to some of the forum people but seems like I must not be.
1679  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: February 10, 2020, 02:43:04 PM
I was rolling dice for a while and got stressed. Then I decided to play auto for a while. I don't know why my PC got crashed. I didn't check the balance before, nor I can remember the history as I played with same payout. What happened to my rolling?
When later I logged in, I got a notification like "Something went wrong". I am not a regular gambler, nor I used play the auto bet.
