901  Other / Meta / Re: [24h] Three Millionth User on: January 15, 2021, 06:43:35 PM
(The two millionth profile is no longer active)
But his main account is active- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1074228
According to a feedback on that profile from ibminer, the account has been created by allahabadi and he was active in 13th January 2021.

Anyone planning to be the 3 millionth user?
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot exploding why? on: January 15, 2021, 06:37:23 PM
I have been observing this project for a few weeks now and till now, I managed to learn a few things although I need further analysis to learn everything about this project. Till now, it's a very interesting project with a lot of developments over ETH and there are a few good projects coming into Polka chain; people are speculating DOT to be huge this year. If you check twitter regularly, you will find a lot of shilling going on there which might be another reason of being pumpoed.
903  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM!!! AdkinsBet scammed me for amount of 196 mBTC in completely blatant way on: January 15, 2021, 06:04:47 PM
Opposition: MonsterV, BlackFor3st, ronaldo40, wildan88, sempak, ufaiz50, Cacingkemi, MI6, BitcoinAccepted, Zackgeno96, nasipadang, deadthings, aomakun, BTCGOLD, imutlinda, cutesgirl, codegnome, coin.princess
I was active or actively observing a few accusations against adkinsbet and I found all the users who opposed the flag to be active there. At least I can recognize all the first four names and they were defending adkinsbet in various accusations directly or indirectly. You can go through their profile and find out if interested.
904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Treat newbies right - Teach them and sell to them at the ATH on: January 13, 2021, 06:20:38 PM
you should use your experience to help, but not influence. Everyone should get there in their own way, and you can help them do so in an informed and safe way.
The bold part; no one should ever try to influence in any financial decision as at the end, if it turns out bad, you will be accused of. I have shared about bitcoin among a lot of my friends but they were never interested untill recently when they saw news on Bitcoin here and there. A few of my friends knocked me and started to ask whether they should invest now or not & my answer was same almost for everyone as the price has skyrockted already, "DYOR". However, to my known, one has invested around $33k; I had helped him picking wallets, purchasing his first bitcoin.
905  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btc.com on: January 13, 2021, 06:04:14 PM
Did btc.com make temp addresses or something.
There's nothing called temporary addresses. Once an address is created, that address can be used all the time as long as BTC chain exists. As above said, your address has tx too. So, you are fine.
You said your fund was visible in the wallet, then where's the wrong exactly? Can't you spend them?
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 13, 2021, 05:58:14 PM
The other day, we the Indian community in telegram were talking about this. I have almost HOLD all the BTC I had from signature campaign last year; it was almost 0.25 BTC earned although within last few months, I had earned very little amount as the price had pumped. I barely gamble from my signature earning. Most of the times, for gambling, I used the regular wallet I use to receive my payment from my freelancing works.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two attempts for $220 million on: January 13, 2021, 05:34:28 PM
According to analysts at cryptocurrency company Chainalysis, of the existing 18.5 million BTC, about 20% lie in lost or otherwise blocked wallets.  In total, this is about $140 billion.
Is this amount reported to anywhere or people are speculation only? I guess there are a lot of early bitcoiners have lost their BTC in such a proceed; either forget the encrypted password or have spoiled their drive, hardware etc. There was another article where I have read it was 1 million.
908  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting a user who just merited you on: January 12, 2021, 07:06:20 PM
If I want to be short to answer this, I would say, "I never planned beforing meriting." I guess you got my point. Usually, I browse the forum, look for solution on different issues, share opinion and read other peoples opinion. In this procedure, if I find somethinhg interesting or of high quality, I merit them if I have available smerit to share with.
909  Other / Meta / Re: How do I remove my account? on: January 12, 2021, 06:12:21 PM
You can't remove or delete your account here by yourself. An admin can manually do so but I guess theymos isn't deleting anyone's account (at least, I have never seen). The maximum you can do is removing all the posts you have made and leave the account as it is.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will we ever get another 7th Jan 2018 Alt Season? on: January 08, 2021, 06:42:27 PM
I was not lucky to see the season live. I have checked a few months ago. Same as your finding, I noticed the same for LTC too. LTC was at peak at December 17th (when BTC was at peak) while, LTC is far away from its peak on BTC bull to $41k. I guess this time, the bullrun of BTC will be different. May be $50k, or may be higher from this. Then yeah, we have to wait for few weeks, months or even a year.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALT/BTC pairs - Bitcoin price interrogation on: January 08, 2021, 06:38:27 PM
Everyone who plans to invest in alt are in the same boat. I have made one mistake, by investing some of my BTC into a few alts which are yet to rise while BTC has increased significantly. Therefore, I have lost a good amount on that. If BTC continues to grow, you will certainly have regret at the end of the day. If you believe chance of BTC crashing is low, I would rather say you should be sticky with BTC.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash says they are not a privacycoin on: January 07, 2021, 11:55:59 PM
For alk these days, I used to know Dash as a privacy coin and one of the competitor of Monero although I never have used none of them. How Dash team now have changed their opinion?
Dash has both private tx option and public tx option or only private tx like Monero?
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Calculating how many Altcoins can be bought for $20 on: January 07, 2021, 06:44:12 PM
You are lacking of basic maths.
You want to purchase DOT for instance. Say, DOT current price is 0.00026 BTC. You want to invest $20 worth of crypto, which is 0.00052 ag the moment.
How much are you getting? 2, isn’t it?
So, you want to make 10% on your portfolio, your portfolio value is 0.026 BTC. So you want 0.0026 profit in 2 DOT?
Cost+Profit= 0.00052+0.0026 = 0.00312 BTC which you have to gain from 2 DOT. Wait all the way BTC reach to 0.00156 BTC each.
Or simply trade with USDT version.
914  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk's Alexa Rating during this bitcoin bull run and some funny stats.. on: January 07, 2021, 06:33:46 PM
@nutildah you are quite a famous man...
I guess it’s the BSV gangs who is looking for who is nutildah as nutildah had created scam accusation thread against BSV which have been a discussion in the reddit too, shared here- https://amp.reddit.com/r/bitcoincashSV/comments/fzs4bm/nutildah_the_troll_that_made_the_scam_thread/
915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Old story. Exchanges get profits from users' withdrawal fees. on: January 06, 2021, 07:42:44 PM
It's not true for all the exchanges. For instance, ftx.com doesn't charge any fee on withdrawal in most of the cases unless total withdrawal amount is bigger than the users trading volume; in that case, 0.10% fee is charged while that seems pretty good for low amount of transaction. Reference
How much trades per day take place on Binance? I have no idea; they charge fees from both buyer and seller and I think it's far bigger than the withdrawal fees as most of the traders barely withdraw their crypto from the exchanges unless they are in need.
916  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for a trusted Btc sportbook site to deposit and bet high stakes on: January 06, 2021, 07:29:50 PM
betbtc.co B- (2014)
I was about to suggest this as I had played on betbtc for a long time and had a good experience. Everything was prompt. I didn't get why you have rated it as B-? It has been here for a long time now without arising a single issue other than processing the big amount of withdraw delay; nothing else were there ever to my known. It deserves a better rating IMO.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: satoshi byte fees ??? on: January 06, 2021, 07:23:39 PM
If I'm correct, you have option for not choosing fees and allow the site to guess the necessary fee. Don't go with manual process if you have no idea how this works although it's pretty simple as one, two, three- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5139978.0
918  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bounty management failure on: January 05, 2021, 06:32:01 PM
Meta or forum has nothing to do with that. Reach out to the project team or the people who hire the campaign manager; complaining or reporting here would achieve you nothing at all. Please move this thread to service discussion (altcoin) as it's all about manager's ability of managing campaign.
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Polkadot is the new ETH on: January 03, 2021, 07:14:42 PM
A lot of people were talking about Polkadot and it's future. Most of the people were pointing it as the next ETH. I personally don't know much about this project. To my known, it's a copy project of Ethereum. I have little to zero knowledge on altcoin TBH.
Does it worth have some investment in this project? I was checking it on Binance and found there was a 200k buy wall; haven't checked in the last hour though. What do you think? People are moving their fund from BTC to alt and DOT can be one of the best choice?
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today Bitcoin Turns 12 Years ! on: January 03, 2021, 06:50:57 PM
note: first blcok wasn't found until january 9th. Wink
Isn't the genesis block the first block? I guess you were referring to #1 block which is the 2nd block of bitcoin blockchain. Genesis block = 0 doesn't mean that it's not the first block. As you can see the definition here-
Quote
Genesis Block is the name of the first block of Bitcoin ever mined.
