WTF you guys.... champagne?  Baileys?  Moet??  AAAAAAAAAAAhh, no!!

WTF, srsly... and you guys call yourselves Moneroites? ? ? ? ?  Puh-leeze... Cheesy

No no no no no.... it's:

"I just opened a 2004 barolo in your and the devs honor!!!"

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

A good Barolo is a lovely wine.  I have had a Pouillac 1986 Chateau Latour that's been too valuable to drink for 5 years.  I was given it and then I realised it was worth so much, I couldn't bear to drink it!

I have waited for an excuse.  If this is the price (or better) at this time tomorrow, I will open it.

Cheers!

We are now at the top of the trading band since may 14.  If it breaks 227, then a spike up is likely, with the old resistance acting as support.  In that scenario we might see a lot of long-term capital come in, diversification flows from other speculative winners especially.  If it rejects this level, it is likely to try a fib level retrace.

Doesn't look like 227 was rejected...

Wink

It was rejected....rejected as a barrier in price.

A welcome sign...  I am feeling a tad... Euphoric.

And by the way - who said Porsche?  Aston Martin, have some class...?
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 10:12:45 PM
OK - assuming news is coming:

End of tomorrow price for the LOLS, anyone? (All at Stamp price base BTC/USD)

1. Under $45
2.  $45-ish
3.  $77-ish (you know why)
4.  $100 or over...

Thoughts?

Bump.

C'mon - tomorrow 23.59 UTC = price, gentlemen (and ladies).

Predictions please.  Faites vos jeux...!

"Buy the rumor, sell the news" is the venerable market truism.  I hope to catch some falling knives tomorrow evening.

Ever was it so...

But real news will mean more fun selling the rumour-top and catching the knives.  I haven't cashed out yet, Sir - still hungry for more action either way. Despite musings in wrong thread yesterday...

Interesting times we are living in, although as I am sure you know 'may you live in interesting times' was once thought of as a curse.

Speculation? Off the cuff I can think of MyMonero Android app, hardware wallet (finally) and last Coinbase integration (unlikely.)

We are such compulsive gamblers!  Odds?:

I reckon not Coinbase, that is stratospheric and I like to manage my expectations.

Jaxx - so what?  Been there, but Trezor or something, yeah, cool.

Android app?  between the two for effect.

ANY news though:  Ace right now.....  IDGAF to be honest, just news!

...and nerves of steel holding HODL'ing

FTFY Cheesy

Thanks KeyJockey - I got excited, didn't notice the typo.

The chart looks good, mind - I can't keep my eyes off it.

1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 08:26:22 PM
Just to be safe - cancel those lower sells you left in to catch spikes a little above here, but put some speculative higher ones up.  Just. In. Case.

No coins for sale 'cheap' and nerves of steel holding means they have to pay more for our precious Monero, chaps.

What are you waiting for? Wink
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 08:22:26 PM
Polo volume today 10K BTC, buy side up, sell side down.

This looks good, less for sale, more want to buy - any news and it will blow ;-)
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 08:14:34 PM
Waiting for news tomorrow I guess, but if Monero gets added to Coinbase we could easily see $100 in the next few months maybe?

We could see $100 in a few days.  Anything is possible in this crazy market right now.  Didn't XRP go up 2000% in a week or two?   100% from here on big news is very possible.  Although not sure if XMR is ready to be a $1 billion coin yet.   But $750 million market cap, similar to DASH seems rational.

This. A piece of good news in this climate could result in craziness.

We don't need much craziness, just a hint of it...  The tinder is so dry and we are a respected, proper coin.  Everyone must be wondering when Monero's turn is.  Anyone savvy without Monero will at least be aware of XMR.

Today was amazing already.  I am happy of NOTHING happens, but if it does it will be perfect.

1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 06:54:00 PM
LOL LOL LOL

Every time TC tries to trash-talk XMR here to pump his book... we get another new massive green candle.

Keep it up, Duck... LOL

HA!  I Ignore him, I realised he has never had anything to say that was worth reading.

Meanwhile, I suspect some people here (not TC of course) might be a few cents better off than they ever imagined they might ever be.

Off to see a slightly expensive tax and pension adviser in the morning, it's about time I worked out what to do next.
1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 23, 2017, 06:48:58 PM
XMR is rocking and to fresh new USD ATHs...up to $49.50 now...   It wants to catch Bytecoin and regain the #8 slot that is rightfully XMR's.  Still a ways to go, but BCN will probably pull back some and make it easier

Then the next target is to finally get revenge on DASH but would take another 50% gain in XMR to catch it.   Anything is possible though in this wild crypto market.

All in good time, no rush - you know we will get there in the end....

Patience.

I am actually seeing walls pop up - not large, but walls nonetheless.

Sell walls as I type - I wonder if they get eaten in one bite...

Happy to learn of your advancing prospects, but I would make the case that the speculation thread is at least somewhat better suited.

Myself, I regard volatility as an opportunity, rather than a risk.

Wrong thread - had both open, my bad - been a long day Aminorex!

Apologies to all.
1696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 22, 2017, 08:13:11 PM
He's still over on bitco.in but it's a bit quieter there. This thread is a force in its own right.

I left too but it was too quiet there, I caved in.

Hey, I know why you left - but Adam came back and it is good to see you.

Don't disappear again, feel free to pop in.  It's not so bad waking up to Jimbo fogetting to talk about his coffee Wink

Stamp over 2200, XMR holding up nicely - even a nice spike up towards $40, albeit briefly.

Glued to the charts.    Segwit agreement (we will have to see) rumours helping price - if they're true, potential parabolic BTC rises may come.  It's getting toppy, yes - but how much more is in it, I have no idea.

Confession: I am certainly cashing out some portion of my crypto soon.  I don't need the cash, I just know if it all tumbles down I want to have taken a little out for a better future.  I certainly won't be upset to have sold some 'too early', I would be if it crashes and I didn't take some out when I could have.

I am seeing a pensions adviser this week to start one off with the proceeds.
I keep reminding myself that a big price rise results in a big unbalance.  I started out with a reasonable allocation between crypto and other assets, but now my wealth is proportionately almost entirely crypto.  This is not healthy.  If one is holding an asset that octupled or whatever, then sell some.  It's the only sensible course of action.
I'm one of the guys who lived like a monk or a college student for years long past the age at which most Americans become foolish consumers, scraping to buy and hold as much crypto as I could.  And it has paid off.  I just needed to lift my head an look around to see that sometimes you need to change your course of action, because it can be a mistake to stick with what worked yesterday and last year.  Reevaluate.

Good point - I just don't want to wake up early especially to look at charts and be up or down according to price moves.  I want to spend more time on holiday and with my girlfriend instead of in front of a screen and (even on here) and have the one thing you can't buy more of.

Time.

Is it my impression or are keeping the price of Monero low to end accumulation? It is the only currency that is not following the price of Bitcoin, on the contrary, recently there was a disclosure of a bug ... Is there another news? I'm watching and I started to buy XMR!

It looks like rather good timing.

Green candles again on the charts.  So pretty.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 21, 2017, 09:13:50 AM
The Monero pump came  shortly before the BTC pump, but in USD terms we hit ATH and still bullish. On 1D XMRBTC chart the bollinger get tighter and we also proceed more horizontal into the triangle which defines the trend on 1D scale. The outbreak from this will be huge. In XMRUSD terms we have some kind of parabolic movement forming.

A parabolic movement would be rather sweet.
