If you want my opinion all the asics have made bitcoin inaccessible to the masses, to the point that the easiest way to acquire btc is to pay cash for it, which in my opinion renders the entire idea of decentralized currency
you could see how altcoins could appeal to the masses that way.
A similar effect would occur if people that poured $millions into ASICs, had put the money into GPU farms. The problem is not ASICs, it's people with more money to invest in mining hardware will always take most of the BTC. An ASIC can cost way less than a GPU and they are available to anyone that wants them, eg a block erupter. fair enough To me alt coin mining is like "pretending"
Getting that feeling of hoarding worthless virtual coins that don't look like they will be worth anything. It's gambling!!!
Don't gamble just collect eggs and put them in baskets. Seriously guys.
actually, it's more like a stock exchange at this point. most all of them can be converted to bitcoins in the end.

so, just to put it out there. I have added ltc to the exchange and successfully sold it for usd, then bought ftc with the fiat balance and withdrew it to a wallet.
well done.

PiCoin is not listed on exchanges. I didn't create it for profit.

Not a serious announcement. Minimum information about a coin. Even did not write that coin is scrypt. How much is premine?
Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279633.0This coin isn't meant to be taken so seriously. There was no premine, I mined genesis and released the code to anyone that wanted to mine it. That said, thank you to those who actually ran it. I'm impressed. I will keep working on the coin and updating as long as people keep mining.

The name is bad.
As you may have noticed, this point has already been made. If you wish, you could give us a few alternatives so that we may consider them. Then your comment would be more of use to us. Add POS to the coin. Make it a bit rare. Why would you even go for MarieCurie? FührerCoin would work better lol. I'd buy as much as I can with all my BTC man you're an ass sometimes I happen to like the name. Curie is the shit, she has units of measure named after her, a couple nobel prizes, and x-rays.... 'nuff said.
