I think someone suggested earlier to set up an automated TestNXT faucet.
This would really help to distribute testNxt fast......we have to break this bottleneck.

I like the idea of raising capital via shares, but I think quite a few people invest blindly in it. 1,000,000 NXT for 1/10 of this company is just too much right now.

NMAC has not collected 1 NXT from ANYONE at this point. We only have pledges for ~ 80 million shares at the moment. Price: 0.01 Nxt per. share I;m sure you can work out the math for USD. Edit: 80 million at placement close on Saturday....I think another 20 million shares in pledges has come in since then. |

Well, what am I missing here? I think this is the biggest hoax..
I think the intentions are good, but the outlook isn't so bright. They now raised a shitload of money for a 'company' which programmed an ugly messaging app (which no one needs) and has no other ideas what it should do. additionally, they don't plan to pay dividends. good intentions, high risk |

NMAC UPDATE The NMAC private placement was closed to new entries on Saturday, March 1st as we are over subscribed.
You can still purchase shares on the Nxt Asset Exchange. We will sell 25 million shares on Asset Exchange launch day.
The price will be 0.01 nxt per. share.

Is the asset registration fee still going to be set at 1000 NXT?
One idea that comes to mind is perhaps to have different Asset "classes" and price them differently (allowing Assets to be affordable to most but perhaps making A class Assets more expensive to list than B class). I'd still keep the name to be unique (so no confusion) and a client might simply display A class assets in say a different color to B class ones. Something like Blue Chips, penny stocks, etc. |

Without a doubt if we can achieve atomic cross-chain txs then we will have basically got rid of the business model for all exchanges that don't do fiat. IMO "this is our job". The future will not be centralised! During this time (this will take a while?!) we should have the best community driven gateway possible, which james is currently building. + to da moon Moooooooon.....one small step for Nxt...one giant leap for Nxters. |

What if the gateway were used as a marketing tool to the exchanges? This would put them in charge of managing the gateways, and put any risk involved on them, allow them a way of participating in the AE instead of competing with it, and give them incentive to trade NXT.
It would also decentralize the use of the gateway by making it a private enterprise.

If Joe has no friends, it is not possible Don't get confused. The soda-can situation is only an example for the underlying problem. My point is human nature will not change....two facts...1) Humans are not perfect 2) "Evil" will always exist. So even though we might think that whatever system we come up with is perfect against human nature we are surely deluding ourselves. |

If the transaction was send to a fork node, it can be resend over and over again until the supermarket get its money.
Not if the balance of said account has become *zero* in the meantime due to the supermarket not having fast enough internet to see the other tx that was sent by "tricky Joe" at the same time he bought the soda from another location (which emptied his balance via a higher speed route) as he had set that up perhaps via a VPS or some other way (as I said "average Joe" would be very unlikely to be able to get away with this). Joe is buying a coke he can;t be in two places at once. |

I proposed a simpler method, but CIYAM said it was impossible.
Do you think using current method (without the random factor) we can simply reduce the time between blocks to 50 seconds? 30 seconds? 10 seconds?

We can reduce. But if u set gap between blocks to 10 sec then u'll need 6 times more confirmations to get the same reliability. Would Nxt be slower or faster? |
