Really funny.  I did another one today to Penn from Penn & Teller.

Dude, well done Tweet, I really see Penn, past this little contest, as someone who will eventually buy into Bitcoin if he hasn't already done so anonymously.

1682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tinfoil hat mode on: what if AV vendors were paid to remove wallets? on: July 07, 2011, 01:53:47 PM
This theory is based too much on people getting together and doing something for a unified purpose.  If there is one things banks and governements can't do, is pull off good schemes.   I think they would find a way to control it and profit rather than get rid of it.

That is disturbing.
I liked it when I first posted it, but over time it does get weirder.

I thought this was more Deepbit is going to kill Bitcoin talk, it easily could have been.

Do you want a more efficient pool and to mean something in the bitcoin industry?

1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What is your favourite bitcoin browser extension? on: July 07, 2011, 11:33:58 AM
yet people are treating this specific browser extension like the plague.

You understand it is because of the user who released this already has a lot of negativity going his way?

Hell, people on Reddit were onto him early on because of this https://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=21527.0 lol
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saying goodbye! on: July 07, 2011, 11:31:40 AM
I must admit that some of my posts here were a deliberate attempt to drive down Bitcoin's exchange rate.

You thought you could do anything to any of the markets or exchanges off of posts to this forum

Kids these days.
1691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just jumped into the bitcoin game... thoughts and questions on: July 07, 2011, 11:24:39 AM
I think mining itself will be going through changes soon and I wouldn't jump into it yet, too  many miners, issues with how big pools are, I would sit and wait with mining.

Welcome back, Atlas.

This is should be the first Bitcoin.org forum meme.

I am going to set up a donations page to start getting people to do it.

Sadly it is not looking good until we are able to get a manufacturer specifically for our designs and have more choice over both brand and sizes available.   I sent a ticket into Zazzle where they should email me back directly, but I think they will just tell me what is on this page http://zazzle.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/174

Sorry about that, kind of one of the growing pains with this.  Right now I do at the least have the benefits of taking Credit Card and Paypal because of Zazzle, but that isn't exactly what I would prefer to promote or even offer as it kind of goes against using Bitcoin lol.  I do appreciate your inquiries and hopefully more options will be available down the road Smiley

Ragnar the pirate here.
Is that typo or is that a real name and you use a username that is an offshoot of that?
1696  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am killing this persona. on: July 07, 2011, 06:34:23 AM
I mean, I'm not discrediting Republican libertarians who think the US dollar is going to plummet to nothingness, but they aren't the whole of everyone who uses bitcoins. Tongue I use them because I think they're pretty cool and should gain more traction, and partially as an investment as well. (Though I'm trying to become a more active spender/earner because of the whole investor problem.)
I fully agree with everything said here.  I like that Bitcoin has strong political supporters who seemed to have been wanting or needing a currency like this to act as a solution to a lot of their issues, along with all the drug sellers and buyers, and other illegal trades, plus the 24 hour stock market for the gamblers, and all the technology behind it.  I support all these aspects of Bitcoin Smiley

I can't wade through all this, did you design this page, like the graphics and layout http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/804/bitcoinminingaccelerato.jpg/ ?
1698  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am killing this persona. on: July 07, 2011, 06:19:32 AM
What was the age thing and who was he (I) fighting with?  I'm sadly curious, who has the scoop.

Also, too many people negative toward his plans

1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pools Owning 50% of The Hashrate: A Realistic Attack on: July 07, 2011, 05:14:55 AM
POOLS ARE BAD!  They make a system that has demonstrable cryptographic security into a "I don't think that guy is cheating, why would he".  FAIL!
What is worse is the pool within the pool things going on.  I think people will see there is no benefit for themselves to keep mining in a pool overall.  I mean, I can only understand if you think in short term goals with Bitcoin, and especially if you don't give a crap about the other benefits of this specific digital currency.
