Multiminer works great also for monitoring
Saves me a lot of grief

Thanks!!!

I'll check these out.

I did not want to take up space on this thread with multiple screenshots of the "miner status" of all nine S7's.  Here are the results after 24 hours of use.  Look at the "average" [GH/s (avg)] hash rate at 4.8+ TH/s.  Look at the HWE% as well out to the right of HW in their proper columns.  I'm quite impressed.  You can click on the screenshot of each S7 in the link provided to maximize the screenshot then click again to minimize.

Very Cool dmwardjr!!!  All at 4.8th/s---Very Cool!

Yes, I thought it was "quite cool" as well, Aries.  I'm impressed with the noise factor as well.  Sounds to me about the same decibels as the S5.  My IBM 2880W PSU's are louder than the S7.

Have you tried m'santmonitor?

No, Wolfen, I have not.  Any recommendations?  Heading to a pumpkin patch with my wife and 4 year old.  I will be away for about 3 hours.

Generally speaking though, why should anyone ever generalize a whole country of people, especially those one is doing business with, with insulting and degrading speech such as that?

Bitmain has been kind enough to supply us with what is presently the most energy efficient mining hardware available, and sure they are having some hiccups, but those who have received miners in this thread are a testament to the fact that they are trying to get us product.

As mentioned, nobody else is... So can we stop bashing the Chinese as a whole people  / Country in here and concentrate on the S7 miners?

Well said, Questor.

I'm getting tired of people using the word, "Chinese," in such negative connotations.  Can't we all just get along without negative denotations regarding one's ethnicity?  It's completely unnecessary and profits no one.

Bitmain, truly has been supportive of the home miner and those who aspire to have larger farms.  This is not a perfect world and everyone [Including corporations] are not perfect either.  We might find Bitmain more generous in their dealings with us if we would be more supportive in their contribution to our community.  Railing at them in this forum and emails serves only to divide us instead of unifying us as a community.

So, let us chill with the negative connotations towards one's ethnicity and learn to get along with each other.

Cheers M8

dmwardjr that is great to know. I didn't know you received your miners...(I guess I missed that but am glad to hear your happy with them) will have mine Monday the 19th.

I think you will be very well pleased with their performance, aurel.  I certainly am!!!

I will be posting screenshots in about another 2.5 hours to show the performance of all rigs after 24 hours of use.

Yes, BITMAIN, has had its up's and down's.  However, without them, we would not have the opportunity for decentralization in mining we require to keep the blockchain healthy.  I'm thankful for their contribution to the bitcoin community and look forward to supporting them further in the future.

Cheers...

EDIT:  Mine were shipped on the 14th and I received them on the 16th in Alabama.  Ordered on Sept. 3rd.

You just "proved" my point.  You're the same guy in the Spondoolies thread with multiple accounts harassing, Dogie.  Why don't you take your childish behavior else where?  Just grow up for once.

After Bitmain it is 2nd, or at least was at some point.

That's a daft thing to say. There are loads of pools that were biggest "at some point".

He's referring to "present day."  It seems to me you are one who has been here a long time and created a new account only to harass, dogie.

Not at all. "At some point" does not refer to present day at all. "Presently" does though.

It seems to me that you are jumping to conclusions. I would have said the same thing to anyone who made that statement.

Fine, you made your point.  How relevant it is? Very little.

According to this link,
Quote
BW was co-founded by LK Group Limited and CHBTC on Aug. 10, 2014
So I assume they are simply using the Innosilicon A3/A4. Nothing really that impressive, and not a real game changer unless the price is very low, but that seems unlikely on 14nm.

Thanks for the link and your highly regarded opinion !!!

By the way, all nine (9) S7's are doing great with very low HW errors and all 9 units are at least 4.8 TH/s and above @ 600 MHz.  I refuse to do any over clocking of these rigs, as I want them to last me a LONG time.

I have 8 of them hooked up to IBM 2880W PSU's.  I only had to reboot half of them to reduce the HW errors from 0.1XXX% to 0.00XX%.  I went ahead and hooked up the 9th rig to two (2) Corsair AX860 PLATINUM PSU's.  The hash rate was low and the HW errors were high at initial start up.  Once a reboot was done, the hash rate is 4.837 TH/s and the HW errors are 0.0019% now after 20 hours and 40 minutes of mining.

Over all, I'm VERY pleased with the performance of the S7's.  I will post snapshots of the "Miner Status" for all 9 rigs [After 24 hours of use] to show what those who order in the future can expect in regard to performance.  I cannot hook up to a watt meter, as my meter went "cur plunk" on me about 3 months ago.  However, my "metered" 240 Volt PDU's read 10 Amps for each breaker on the PDU.  I have two (2) S7's hooked up to each IBM 2880W breaker of the 30 Amp PDU's.  The amp meter reads 10 Amps for each 15 Amp breaker.  [The 30 Amp/ 240 Volt PDU's have two (2) 15 Amp breakers built into them.  If we multiply 240 Volts x 10 Amps, we get 2400 watts.  Divided by 2 [S7's] = 1200 watts.

EDIT:  I did have a high pitched wine from one of the S7's after about 7 or 8 hours of mining.  It was hard to make out which one was making this noise.  So, I ended up doing a half to full turn on the screws to all the fans [Front and back] and the noise went away after about 20 to 30 minutes.

BW is the biggest Chinese mine I believe.

Thanks, Prelude.

I want to see the link where they say this...

EDIT:  It's hard for me to believe this.  I personally think it's a ploy to try to stop people from buying more S7's from BITMAIN and thereby reducing the rise in the network hash rate.
1696  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 17, 2015, 10:15:32 PM
I'm pretty sure that the price will goes up, cuz of coin price.
They should drop the price, it's already too high.

And BW announced this week plans to sell 14nm miners to the public, which threatens the already unattainable ROI at current S7 prices even more

It eludes me who "BW" is.  Do you know?  I'm having a damn brain fart.   Grin

Has anyone heard anything more about the hashrate equivalent compensation? Bitmain support is being.... Bitmain support! Just wondering if anyone has been offered this yet?

I doubt it very seriously.  BITMAIN, has limited resources (employees).  They already have their hands full with completing testing hash boards and shipping batches 1, 2 and 3.  I'm sure they will get around to compensation once they've caught up.  Patience, my fellow miner.  The compensation email to those requiring compensation will arrive in due time. It may take a couple of weeks but it will be taken care of in due time.

Did you folks with 3.0 Kg orders also have Power supplies? There are reports that Bitmain will ship PSU's in advance of the miner itself.

I would think 3.0 Kg as being "light" for the miner.

No PSU ordered here just a miner

I'm pretty sure UPS will send me a bill in the mail for a "brokerage" fee of maybe $35 to $40 but we may also have to make up the difference in weight.  Only time will tell.  I'm not going to worry about and just wait for the bill to come in the mail from UPS.

Really?? I have never had UPS bill me before on miners. I am having this one dropped off at my local UPS Store as not to miss the delivery. It will be interesting if they try and collect anything from me.

Really,

I had a shipment of 6 x S5's from Bitmain in which I had to pay a brokerage fee of $39.29.  I've had other shipments from Bitmain with no brokerage fee at all.  I think it's kind of a hit or miss thing.

Has anyone actually got the PPS pay for being lat on shipping?  I was just curious if they really have done this or not for people yet.

The showing of shipped, and no info is kinda scary.   Hopefully they check into that more.

It will probably be done have shipping of batch 1 is completed.  They are generating a list of those with late deliveries, how many rigs they had which were late, etc...  That is my "guess" anyway.
