1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is running a node profitable? on: July 30, 2018, 11:03:27 AM
Running a Masternode with POS coins can bring you profit but simply running a node doesn’t make anything, u have to buy coins first.
Well you just repeated what MadGamer said at post #2.
I don't run a node but to those that doesn't have an idea on how much you need to start before buying those coins.
Check https://masternodes.online/ to have some thoughts.
1682  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-27] Google Play Officially Bans Cryptocurrency Miners on: July 30, 2018, 10:41:38 AM
I'm seeing too many people attempting to frame this as negative news for Bitcoin.  It's good news.  This is only going to affect altcoins and creators of malware who steal processing power from unassuming device owners.  The average person might become more receptive to crypto if nefarious people weren't constantly trying to get them to install apps that slow down their phones and tablets.
Very well said. If you are spending too much time on different crypto social media groups, there's too much deception on mining.

That's right because they don't get much money on those apps. They want gaming apps that will force kids to steal their parents' credit card just to level up their account quickly.
They don't care about those apps but it's helping the people who are exploring through these apps to stop the spread of malware.

Google Play don't want you to make money through mining , they want us to make money for them through their offers.
Do you really believe that you can make much with these framed mining apps?
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: July 27, 2018, 10:05:16 AM
One of my all-time favorite player Vince Carter will play one more season. He signed with the Atlanta Hawks for a 1-year deal. Damn that his 21st season now and he's turning 42 next year. Looks like he's getting more money  (although not that muc) before retirement even he have a chance to be signed on one of a championship caliber team in the league.  Cool

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24194157/atlanta-hawks-add-vince-carter-21st-season
Good luck with his last season, his old days were the best but due to going old thing he can't do better than before.
I admire Vince Carter when I was still a kid and now that I've grown up I still know his name and his contribution to the league.
He'll never get old and he's too underrated on these days but good thing he got 1-year deal with Hawks.
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BCH an effective investment option in the long run? on: July 27, 2018, 08:47:50 AM
BCH is a centralized coin like Ripple so this ain't a good investment in the long run.
If you will hold this coin for long term, you'll be broke because its either Jihan Wu will dump this coin.
Or Roger Ver will dump as well when they are ready to forget about this coin.

it is true about BCH but Ripple situation is 100 times worse than this. because it is not only centralized and they can control everything including your balance but also the total supply is 100 billion while only they have released about 40 billion of it.
in other words there is still 60 billion XRP unaccounted for which they keep releasing each time they pump it so that they can make a huge chunk of money.
What the heck. I didn't know about that Ripple and its a good thing that I never have any interested of having even a single Ripple.
That's truly worse so if someone has these coins and keeps on arguing and defending it to others, think again.

Well bitcoin cash is still considered as one of the top coins in the market though i kind of agree with you there. Calling bch as the real bitcoin won't hook that much support from people in the crypto community, well aside from ver diehards that is.
It has some whales back up so its remaining on the top but it doesn't mean they are good.
1685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future Of Crypto Market Without Bitcoin? on: July 27, 2018, 08:30:08 AM
BTC is the symbol of blockchain technology.
It is the foundation and it's even mistakenly called as blockchain and described it that way.
Before when you tell blockchain to someone, they will even think of bitcoin immediately so it's going to be an issue if bitcoin goes out of the market.

If BTC becomes worthless, will blockchain technology become a laughing stock? So blockchain technology is related to BTC.
Well, blockchain can run even without bitcoin.
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: You can buy ETH with MEW with visa or mastercard! on: July 27, 2018, 08:00:17 AM
Is it true that the application name from MEW is MewConnect?
I'm not going to use this app but this seems to be app because it's on different news.
MyEtherWallet Reveals MEW Connect iOS App Beta
MyEtherWallet’s secure login app is now available in beta for iOS
MyEtherWallet Launches Beta Version Of Its MEWconnect Mobile Application on iOS
It's still on beta so wait until they launch final release.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MyEtherWallet has added a new feature! on: July 26, 2018, 12:31:26 PM
MyEtherWallet has added a new feature - the ability to purchase ETH using Visa or MasterCard. What do you think about this?
Wow is this for real? I don't know that they will do this. They are starting to add another feature.
Maybe they will also add some new feature in the future and they will start to create their own integration for an exchange.
I checked some news and it seems that only few articles was created.
1688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a good way to concisely explain Bitcoin? on: July 26, 2018, 11:55:45 AM
Bitcoin is an alternative digital currency that there's no government who controls it.
You can search in the forum pretty concise explanation on what bitcoin really is.
Sets of pretty simpler explanations are also in google by just doing it within few seconds.

1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC follows the BTC trend on: July 26, 2018, 10:48:58 AM
LTC is an altcoin and like what everyone's complain through the forum, it was also down when bitcoin first moved up to $8,000.
Now that everything has been stabilized, LTC is following the trend too like other altcoins.
But I haven't saw significant gains to LTC like other alt coins.
1691  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia on: July 26, 2018, 10:21:34 AM
Hahaha, horrific. These words are funny but so true.
If anyone is depending that they are a good exchange, think again don't listen to someone that's saying it's a good place to trade.
If you don't have choice but to trade there do it with caution.

The main issue here is the incapacity of Cryptopia to attend the customers needs and concern immidiately. Issues like unable to withdraw, not showing of deposits, and other fund related concerns is almost a normal thing happened in any exchange ( but ofcourse it should not happen too frequent lol ) One thing that disappoints me is their customer service.
This happens most of the exchange, they are lack of manpower to assess and address their customers problem.
And they are also growing so they can't do it at the same time, maybe they are lack of people to address everyone's concern.
This is the normal problem of exchanges that are growing but if its too terrible, at least for another exchange that's active with helping their customers.

1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Send Dogecoin/Litecoin to multiple address in one transaction? on: July 24, 2018, 11:20:11 AM
1. Don't wish to avoid fees, if everyone talks about that its the start that miners will stop working with their machine.
2. It's possible to lessen the fees but to say one transaction fee for 100 transaction? that's crazy.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵🔺[BOUNTY] KONIOS - The Biggest Bitcoin Paid Bounty Campaign! on: July 24, 2018, 10:26:49 AM

1695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud mining on: July 23, 2018, 06:38:42 AM
you should not be too confident with cloud mining because it is very much a cloud mining that went bankrupt and bring all the money from investors, so you better not be affected by cloud mining.
They aren't really bankrupt but that's their strategy of robbing their investors money.
If someone is still interested with cloud mining, hold your horses and don't be fooled with their contracts and unrealistic gains that they are posting.
Don't be interested with any of them so you won't fell to any of their scheme.
1696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ups and downs of world becoming more aware of bitcoin? on: July 23, 2018, 05:14:20 AM
I guess you are all happy now to see bitcoin break $7,600 and it was so close when I saw it on $7,694.
It almost broke to $7,700 and that was so close. We don't have to worry about spikes, this is very normal to cryptocurrencies.
When we see that the world has been adopting bitcoin and its getting good publicity, we'll be able to see ATH again.
1697  Other / Archival / Re: Have you ever won a Jackpot? on: July 21, 2018, 12:00:34 PM
I've won on a jackpot but it was years ago when I was in a carnival where they allowed some games to play.
Betting few coins on it and you'll win some good prize but not that too high.
That can be the only time that I can boast of my jackpot but if its about crypto gambling games and real life gambling, I haven't.
1698  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to find midle man, an intermediary transaction? on: July 21, 2018, 10:51:36 AM
There's another list for escrows that you can ask for your deal to be safe. As long as that's legal transaction, you will not have problem of asking them.
Recommended bitcointalk escrow services was updated last June 22,2018 so that's most recent than the other list.
If someone contacts you and he's not on those list, check his trust rating and depend only with those people on the list.
1699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is not adapted into business?? on: July 20, 2018, 09:57:51 PM
I always wondered what is the problem for BTC to be finally adopted in the wide range of business, I was expecting at least a great adaption in the online business but even so, what stops business from adapting BTC, the volatility?
Yes. One problem is businesses doesn't want bitcoin's volatility, here's why. What if someone paid for $1,000 item and the market sudden goes down and the price went $900?
That's a $100 loss for that business so they don't want to take that gamble cause it might make their business bankrupt in the long run.

The low rates of adoption? Or maybe a lack of propaganda? BTC is so great and I really wish I could use it in more places IRL!
Then if you are starting out any business in the future, be the one to adopt a bitcoin accepting store in your place.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think? Is it worth the investment? on: July 20, 2018, 09:45:03 PM
How old are you? you have your own judgment on what's a good and bad ICO do you?
If you think that it's a worth investment and it's attracting to you because you have analyzed it well, you can decide for yourself.
Don't be attracted because if your reason isn't plausible but if your analysis to that ICO is good, it's up to you.
