This is probably a tough sell atm with the recent and ongoing Prypto scam case. That's different: people didn't control their private keys. The main problem with a scratch card would be having to trust the creator. I’m curios.. have you played online crypto scratch card games? No. To me that's nothing more than a nice looking random number generator, so I can just as well play dice. No idea what it's like in the EU but in North America the Lotto is a government controlled monopoly. Private lotteries are not legal otherwise the mob wouldn't have to run "numbers rackets"! In the EU it probably varies per country. I guess this will have to wait until a large company wants to add Bitcoin games to their existing scratch cards.

LoyceV will be on my list as well. Thanks, I guess ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) But my topic are really not all that interesting. Out of the last 20, I think only 5 are really worth keeping track of. That would give you 75% disappointing announcements. I doubt the forum will get a feature which you can get from an external site: several sites offer to monitor a certain webpage, and send you an email if it changes. If you use that on the link I posted above, you should get notified when I open a new topic. It's better to have a page which shows recent posts made by some specific users of the forum. For example, I choose 10 users. When I visit recent posts page, only posts made by these 10 users are shown. You mean, like this: I might have something: can you have a look at http://loyce.club/sigcamp/chipmixer/ ? I was thinking of offering this as a service to signature campaigns (either companies or managers). As a demonstration, it currently uses data from just over a week on all ChipMixer signature participants (it doesn't get automated updates yet). A real version would get automated updates (depening on the page it will vary from several times per hour to several times per day). All I'd need is a list of userIDs in a campaign (and regular updates), and I scrape (almost) all posts within seconds of being posted (I don't check the posts for being edited after that). This can give a quick overview of the currently active users and topics, and it instantly highlights the most active users. If desired, I could also exclude certain boards or topics that are excluded from a campaign. I wasn't planning on using this just to follow certain users, but it wouldn't be too difficult to do.

Forum mods deleted my post where I said "But not the part where I said I will pay everyone back. Obviously." ~snip~ This place just censors everything I post Don't lie (again) Dean! You just can't help playing the victim-card now can you? This link ( archived just now) proves you're lying. Modlog shows only one of your posts was deleted. I reported it saying "useless quote (his next post is probably what he tried to post here)". You can see your unedited post hereThe post that got deleted was a useless quote without typing anything, followed by another post one minute later: this post. I assume the second post was what you wanted to post, the first one was redundant.

so if anyone has the feeling they would prefer theymos being fully responsible for bitcointalk.org, it would be good to at least hear that opinion expressed. Does it have to be one person who owns a domain name? I'm not familiair with what's "common" to do for big corporations for instance: could a domain name be owned by a foundation instead of a person? And if so, that brings the question who would get permission to access it within that foundation.
I think I've mentioned it before but I'll do it again: the current setup has worked for many years, and I have no reason to assume it will "break" any time soon. So I'm totally fine with leaving everything as it is now. However, for the very long term, assuming Bitcoin and this forum will last, there should be either a permanent solution or at least an order of succession. A hundred years from now, none of us will be posting here, but it would be really cool if Bitcoin and this forum are still around, and someone takes care of it to ensure this very message is still available!

At the risk of bumping this thread: can you PM me a signed message from an address containing at least 50 BTC? If you do this, I'll testify here that you at least have access to this amount of funds. I won't publish your Bitcoin address here. Sign with this: Hi LoyceV, this is Bam1131 from Bitcointalk, today is October 29, 2019, and I sign this message to prove xxlmixer.com owns the funds on this Bitcoin address I've made similar requests to several new mixers in the past, and none of them has ever done what I requested. Several of those turned out to be scams. It's interesting this post is coming from a 2011 account.
This does not inspire confidence: I want to buy Wallet.dat with balance, password is lost, damaged.

I just saw the edits you make to your original post I wondered what the topic " Needing a same day BTC loan of anything I can get for ~$10." did on my Watchlist. He seriously went from asking 2 BTC to asking $10! In other words: it doesn't matter how much he gets, and he'll take whatever he can.

The idea for the survey comes from the never-ending news that 10-20% of the people in a country are holding coins. That's easy to debunk with the Bitcoin Rich List: Only 20,428,711 Bitcoin addresses are richter than 1 USD. With about 7.5 billion people on the planet, at most 0.27% of the population can own Bitcoin. It's a safe assumption many people own more than 1 Bitcoin address, so I estimate the real number to be far less than 0.1% of the population. Given this low number, it's amazing that almost everybody knows about Bitcoin! That's one hell of a potential userbase! Now, to answer your question: I know several people IRL who own Bitcoin, some of them slightly influenced by me, some did it on their own.

Why such difficulties if there is a method of reliable storage in just one place? I think we'll have to disagree on which method is more reliable: On the one hand, there's mirrors that have stored huge amounts of data for decades. On the other hand, there's a new blockchain without any proven record of being able to store even moderate amounts of data. Needless to say, I pick the first one ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

This Paypal "method" is good if you have a shoppy store for example, and you sell a lot of things for Paypal. For example you sell promo codes for Paypal, and there are random people who buy like ~50 codes from you, then they instantly chargeback cause they wanna scam you... I've seen this thread before, but didn't respond yet. Can you email your method to LoyceValenzuela@gmail.com for me to review? I'll share my thoughts on this after having all information. Note: I have no interest in "getting it for free", but I would like to see if I disagree with your negative feedback. @Anonym1337x: I suggest to read LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system, especially the part on retaliation feedback.

Blacknavy's missing profile delayed the update of my Trust list viewer. But until your post, I didn't notice his username must have changed: Blacknavy's userID is still called Matthias9515 on my Trust list viewer (I'll fix this in the next update). There are 3 userIDs with 2 usernames in my records: 1018510: Blacknavy 1018510: Matthias9515 53889: Axios (Donator) 53889: Mendacium 553678: Mr. Big (Global Moderator) 553678: rickbig41 Matthias9515 must have requested Admin to change his username.

Allow me to summarize your request: SCAM!And a quote for reference: Inflexible Terms:
1: Must be no collateral, I simply cannot afford to stake collateral at this time.
2: Must be direct-to-wallet, I will refuse to go through separate sites because I would not be able to withdraw without making outrageous deposit payments or some kind of premium plan thing. It annoys me and kinda makes the loan moot as with loans your honestly supposed to have access to it immediatly once actually disbursed.
3: No origination fees(for now): As I again, cannot make any kind of payment before receiving the loan.
Flexible Terms
1: I am willing to accept higher rates due to my first two terms, however I am looking for a 9 month term and would prefer the repayment date be in full plus accrued interest over the term length as that would make it easier to balance things with my paychecks and repayments. This can be done by simply having me pay you back the original amount in Bitcoin plus accrued interest plus more depending on if Bitcoin prices drop under what the original price is upon disbursement.
2: willing to have any fees(if absolutely required) simply removed directly from the loan amount or added to the final amount to be paid as a flat upcharge.
If you wish to discuss terms and agree to my first three, please message me on telegram. For multiple reasons: it's more secure, more convenient for me since I doubt I'll be on this site every day to be checking my messages.
My telegram is as follows: @RakvenDakulienil

ipfs and torrent can't give guarantees saved data... if you load file in blockchain file can't be deleted and you can find it anytime and anyway. This is true, unless: now i create my own cryptocurrency(file hosting) A blockchain is only as "forever" as the people who use it. Bitcoin's blockchain has been running stable for 10 years thanks to a financial reward for miners. If you want to prove a certain file existed on a certain date, all you have to do is store a sha256 hash on the blockchain, and keep the file itself on several mirrors. Mirroring data has worked very well for decades, and is much easier to use than getting a file that's scattered in tiny pieces on a blockchain.

If you look at their Ethereum wallet they have something like $9 million, I think that's enough money to pay for many years
Exchanges hold users' funds in their wallets, that doesn't meant all funds are theirs to spend on something else.

It should be reworded to something like "forbidden to attack other members of the forum", "or "insult" or whatever. It still sounds a lot like Social Justice Warrior forum, I don't like it. I'm not usually going nuts at insulting people, but I love having the freedom do do so. What's left of a forum about crypto if you can't even have freedom of speech?

@cryptohunter: Hey, you're back! Just install your own wallet, keeping coins on an exchange doesn't help for adoption.

I wrote a program to create a simple mapping for the brainwallet passphrases I've cracked. Here are the most common mappings.
A=capital letter a=lowercase letter d=digit p=punctuation ?=other I assume this mapping is mainly based on the brute-force method used: I assume it didn't search for just random strings, so for example ??d?pa???A? doesn't show up becasue it was never found! Am I right?
