1701  Economy / Economics / Re: Im owner of wealth club and here is my forecast about global economy on: August 05, 2023, 05:43:56 PM
First, this is heavily subjective. I don't know what your sources are but coming out with such conclusion without any research backing you up does not make this reliable at all. Second, euro is one of the strongest currency in the world, even if it falls for a bit it will not be that bad. Third, Europe has been one of the center of tourism in the world not only for its currency but for its history, tourist spots and rich culture.

I was expecting an analysis of the current global economy, not an opinionated claim without any research to back it up.
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: August 05, 2023, 03:43:28 PM
Many people think that poor people are the biggest problem, but we have to understand that without poor people there would be no life, no one would want to grow food crops, no one would want to work as a driver delivering groceries, no one would who want to sell food so that there will be no food on the dinner table, the poor have an important role in life.
That's life, everyone will need each other in various ways so that rich people who already have lots of factories and agricultural land will still need poor people to be employed there. And it is also very suitable for those who are poor because they are in need of a job to be able to survive longer, so needing each other like this is what makes balance in life always exist and be maintained. But if one day the rich are able to use other tools such as robots, for example, perhaps the poor will no longer be used by the rich or factory and company owners. Except for only a few as operator officers.

I agree. It will seem like there is balance as both sides need each other to function but in reality, the rich will soon be able to function without the poor as their employees. The rich will only get richer, and it does not matter if the poor is included in their business as employees or not. And the poor? Well once that happens, they need to work harder and make do.
1703  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: August 05, 2023, 11:48:46 AM
Overtime the situation is getting worse and not getting better with time. It is known around the world that inflation had hit hard and there is need of additional sources to meet up the daily needs and have better savings. In such situation what is happening around is the layoffs and I job cuts which will make the common man suffer much.
I've been watching videos of struggles coming from students, to professionals and the elderly. And heck, no one can really skip on this one except those that are ultra rich.

Even the middle class are feeling the effect of inflation, everywhere, there's economic problem and even the rich countries. We're totally at the survival of the fittest on this era.

At first I thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I mean, it's nothing out of the ordinary for prices and market to experience a rise. However, when I went out and do my monthly grocery shopping that is when I personally felt just how bad the current inflation is. Prices did not only doubled but tripled and even times four of their previous price. My monthly grocery which ensures I have more than enough food to last for a month has reduced to food for 2 weeks.
1704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: August 04, 2023, 11:59:42 PM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?

     -    If you allocate 5% of your income weekly and if you earn 300$ weekly that means is around 15$ and 1 month is a total of 60%, I think maybe that's not bad. With such a habit every week, you can be considered a responsible gambler.

But as a matter of fact, sometimes when you feel that you are lucky, the instinct that a player will feel is that he will not notice to himself that he is going beyond his limits, so it seems that it is impossible to say if you can maintain such a strategy.

I did it for two years, so it's entirely possible to gamble in a budget and stick to it. Of course, it depends heavily on the person and not specifically the strategy that one is employing, because no matter how good the strategy is, if the person is not consistent, that strategy will always fail. Even if you allocate 1% and you often go over that budget, it's a strategy failed.
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 04, 2023, 11:34:20 PM
Well, it is mandatory by law, and I don't think there's a lot of things you can hide from the government anyway. It's an inevitability that is slowly creeping up in the cryptospace, so it is to be expected. Though third-parties couldn't snoop on your activities, unless of course the gambling platform allows them to check on your history, but that is quite impossible unless you have the side of the law enforcement with you, so I guess in a way, it's still pretty anonymous.

Gambling with cryptocurrencies however, still has some benefits as the coins you're playing with could potentially increase their value, getting your winnings up should there be any.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: *** Exploring Unique Advertising Opportunities in the Gambling Sector*** on: August 04, 2023, 11:17:36 PM
KYC is not that big of a problem (for me at least) when we talk about ptivacy.

I am not a real gambler, I played poker in my younger days and sometimes I like to play some live Stud Poker (-EV, I know).

What is annoying is that you have the feeling Big Brother watches every spin or call you make.
They decide how much you can spend a day. If you want to spend more then €1000 a month you need to fill in documents. Emails from the governemnt "concerned" about your gambling behaviour if you never gamble and then suddenly decide to play for 8 hours straight during the night for whatever reason..

At least that´s how people experience it here.

And that's something that is really scary, at least for me. Imagine them always knowing how you spend, where you spend, and what to spend. They really 'control' your spending, and even your activities indirectly. I gamble a lot previously, though not as big of a spender compared to most of us here, but there's a certain feeling that I think one day, the tax man will just knock at my door and ask why am I not reporting everything to them. It might even be a reason, sooner or later, for me to get declined in some services but that's just my anxiety kicking.
1707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 04, 2023, 10:46:02 PM
$600k might sound a lot but in today's terms, it really isn't worth that much. I'd look for places to put that money to work and I'd still work my ass off and ignore the fact that I have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal. In this way, I will be avoiding the thought of splurging on something that I obviously do not need in order to live comfortably. Of course, I will be getting a good mortgage on a good home, but I would not outright buy it because obviously, all of my money would be gone.

People who haven't held that much money their whole life would obviously be having a hard time managing it, and it's okay. That's why financial advisers are the first people you should seek if you unexpectedly win the lottery.

1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow to Buy Bitcoin is Not Advisable.Consider the Factors Before Doing That. on: August 04, 2023, 12:36:11 PM
The question is, is it bad to borrow? If you know for yourself that you are responsible for borrowing and paying, I see nothing wrong. Now, like the title said, is it really bad for you to buy bitcoin from debt?

If there were people who were doing that, I would have been one, because I couldn't buy bitcoin for 250$ in one shot I just borrowed and I just held the bitcoin in my wallet, but I did that because I had a lot expenses to do. And even so I did that I paid off my debt before my due date. And now the bitcoin that I owed the purchase that I was paid. This means that borrowing money is not bad, ...it only gets bad when you don't pay off your debt.
You have a point. It's not wrong to borrow if you can repay the money regardless of the result of your investment to Bitcoin. That means you're not relying on your profit from the investment to be able to pay the borrowed money. Now, if that's the case I don't see any problem.

However, for people who take a risk of borrowing just to invest (in general). Believing they can gain if they did that and will rely the repayment money on the income of their investment, then that's different. It's like gambling since you're not certain what might be the outcome. We always advice, just invest what you can afford to lose, it's very clear. Use your own money since investing is risky, if you'll borrow to invest, make sure that you can repay your loan because that's your responsibility.

I agree. Investing or not you need to ensure that you are doing your end of the loan agreement. It is your responsibility to pay what you borrowed no matter how good or bad your financial standing is. Hence, it is true and I have always agreed that we should only invest what you can afford to lose as an investment can go anywhere at anytime. It will be hard for you to borrow money and then invest it with the hopes that you'll get more than what you invested so you can pay your loan. You are not only making a big problem for yourself but to the person/system you have loaned from.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When it's all set and done, do not forget those in need. on: August 04, 2023, 11:56:01 AM
we are not live alone in this world, sometimes we are at the top sometimes we are at the bottom. something that I believe is everything that we do will comeback to us. So I think if we have a lot of bitcoin then it will be good if we help each other. give some of our money will not make us poor, but it is means a lot to the poor who really need it. but it seems that many people here don't like to giving to the poor, it is okay if they don't want to do this, it is their choice. my choice is if I have a lot of money then will give some to the poor.

I also believe in good and bad karma. Hence, whenever I can I try to give back, specially when I know it is badly needed by a friend or loved ones. There is nothing wrong with saying no tho, especially when you have nothing for yourself or what you have is not enough. It is always welcome to help as long as it is with pure intentions and will not make you broke.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: August 04, 2023, 10:45:51 AM
What Elon Musk can buy next will depend entirely on his personal decision because we cannot imagine when he will make any decision. Before he bought Twitter for a huge price we had no idea that he could buy Twitter for such a price but he has done it. Later if he likes any social media or any other business then he will definitely buy it. Recently, Elon Musk has changed the logo and display name of Twitter, maybe he is planning for a long term with Twitter, that is why the logo and name of Twitter have been changed. Even if he does not purchase any social media later, he may bring any other app like Facebook or Instagram to the market.

Elon Musk is enjoying handling X, formerly known as Twitter, right now. With the changes of the logo and name, it shows how invested he is in making X his own brand. But does it mean he will stick with buying other social media platforms? Perhaps not. However, I can see him extending X into a platform like Instagram so I do agree with you on that bit. It is hard to know Elon Musk's next step, but there is a high possibility that it will about social media.
1712  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: August 04, 2023, 10:02:06 AM
I feel like Threads is like side-app to Instagram so its popularity will go down but it won't completely die because there are many Instagram users out there already. On the other hand, Twitter is basically dead now. We don't have Twitter anymore, its getting something completely different. Its hard to guess what's going to happen with new twitter "X" but I feel like Elon Musk will be successful again and his plan with X is gonna be very popular.

You have a point here. And the two platforms, X formerly known as Twitter and Threads have different elements if you actually go and use both of them. Threads works more like Reddit where people are encouraged to have a discussion hence the name Threads, the only similarity it has with X is the UI. X, on the other hand, is more like Facebook where it can be more personal and doesn't rely much on engagement with others.

Fundamentally speaking, it is not about the competition of this company to others. It is all about the usage and its purpose. Especially on the companies online like Twitter, as long as it serves its purpose anything is possible relative to its stock price.

1713  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 04, 2023, 05:23:37 AM
I would say it’s more negative on the side especially if those parents are incapable of providing their children quality life. When that happens, aside from there will be low quality life expected for them, these people will also add to the unproductive consumers in the country. Except for those who never stops working to provide for their living.

However, if these children were born from a well off family and for sure they will get good education, then they can be assets to the country especially in promoting growth and prosperity of a country’s economy.

This is true. It depends on the environment and social economic status of the family they belong to. If they are from the lower class where education and basic necessities is hard to attain then these children will possibly be relying for financial help from the government (but like you said these excludes those who are working for themselves and their family, which is already saying a lot with why it is not beneficial to have more children if you're poor). But for those who are born from a rich family then yes they will contribute to society and economy when they get older.
1714  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: August 04, 2023, 04:57:08 AM
There are number of reasons why some people never get rich or achieve significant wealth. These factors include, socioeconomic back ground, lack of education and skills, no investment knowledge, but the main factor that determines the success or failure in our lives is mindset and beliefs. It is crucial to cultivate positive attitude towards the challenges we face in our daily life. By doing so we can transform hardship into opportunities and reap the benefits they offer including building wealth and prosperity.

I like how you are able to point out what OP failed to include in their post. It is the reality, it is within ourselves. We need to grow and learn, which means going through obstacles in life and learning from it despite the outside factors that are affecting our financial status. Yes, there are various aspects that are influencing  the rise and fall of our financial journey but if you do not do anything about it and not find a way around it then that is when you know you'll never get rich.
1715  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: August 04, 2023, 04:33:15 AM
If you are in the big city joining membership to get a coupon and discount is the best way to reduce spending on food, but if you are life in a countryside, there is an option to cut the distribution, went straight to the farmers market instead of supermarket, the price should be less. It can got even cheaper if you buy in bulk.

Membership is good because when it is a holiday, you'll get a discount, but you still need to pay for a membership. I still prefer the coupons that the supermarket gives to customers. Also in the city, there are still farmers markets, where food is way cheaper and fresher than in supermarkets. Mostly on the country side, there are really farmers markets, or you'll plan your own food, which you can get, and you'll know that it's safe because there's no pesticide you'll put into it.

Farmers markets are great way to get fresh foods for a cheap price which a lot of people takes for granted. I also noticed how people find it embarrassing to use coupons to get discounts and promos for their stuff which is ridiculous to me cause they exist for a reason and can really help in cutting food costs.
1716  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: August 04, 2023, 02:24:15 AM
More women in entrepreneur can really help to grow the economy. In some businesses, women are even more likely to do well than men. For example, a female barber in my street do make more sale than even the male. If ones country does not go against this..., I don't see any reason why more women shouldn't engage in businesses.

Women also have their role played in making business and they also contribute massively to enterprises, there's no complete business or enterprise without women directly or indirectly involved in it, they may not fit in many aspects but there are areas their role is needed to make a good impact for the experience needed, it is believed that there are particular areas in business where women's roles are particularly needed, such could be in advertisement, customer service or other businesses and enterprise where women are needed most, such could as well include a restaurant, fashion and other economical sectors their roles are very important.

When it comes to power and strength, mostly men will be dominant, but there are still women doing it, but only a few. But mostly, we noticed most of the business CEOs are women, meaning they are good at managing businesses and also small businesses in our local area, and I noticed most of them are women to help with family expenses. Roles are really important, like managing people, and you also need the right customer service as they are more persuasive and sweet at the same time.

Women are also very detail oriented. They ensure that everything is planned and outline really well to ensure that everything is organized for their business. I think these characteristics of a businesswoman makes them successful in the field. They are also very easy to communicate with specially if it is with clients and customers.
1717  Economy / Economics / Re: The American Dream. What is Your Country's Version of it? on: August 04, 2023, 01:59:45 AM
what is its version of the American dream and does it still exist? Is it still achieveable or attainable?
In my country, which reflects on America, is far away from expectations because of differences in culture and systems. Our government is trying to be like the American system, but the habits of people and the economy become a barrier to moving forward. Our officials are very fond of corruption and Our official is really don't care about the progress of their nation, so progress in our country is be like walk on the spot, even tend to go backward. We are as citizens confused on how to go forward, many left to another country for just try change their fate.

I think a lot of people from different countries goes to America just to achieve that American Dream because they know it will be near impossible to have that in their own country. Mostly because of the lack of opportunities and the state of their country's economy. Hence, the number of people moving to America is a lot.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 03, 2023, 11:59:10 PM
I think they can also be entertaining in their own way as you play slots yourself.

Yes, they are worth watching only when you have no balance left in your account and wish these influencers to make a raffle of balance vouchers or free spins for viewers, lol. But they still have the power of influence, it is evident that most streamers have an abundant number of referrals than normal gamblers. Watching them excessively of course will bring bad effects.
It feels uncomfortable watching streamers if we don't have a balance in our account because we can't immediately follow and have fun with the streamer hahaha Grin

But it's better for us just to watch the streamer and not watch it for too long, so we don't have the desire to follow him in gambling. After all, watching streaming gambling shows will definitely affect our psychology. And sooner or later, we will deposit some money to play gambling immediately. But that only happens to gamblers who don't have good self-control.

To me it does not make much sense to follow and watch some gambling streamer to do their thing for hours and hours. It would be better just to which the stream to someone actually doing something more entertainment, like playing a videogame or cooking some stuff, anything but gambling.

It is like playing slots, addictive, but if in the screen happens to show that a jacktop was hit, the only thing one can do celebrate others people money. Nothing for you or me who are just observers.

To each his own, I guess. Sometimes, I find watching streams very helpful if I'm trying to learn something on a game, or want to watch some tidbits that could potentially make me win more money in gambling, in a game, or generally something that I'm really interested and keen in learning. But yeah, I agree that watching streams can sometimes be counterproductive, especially if you could have been doing X but instead you opted to watch a gambling stream and gained nothing.
1719  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi victims on: August 03, 2023, 11:42:07 PM
         -     It's just funny that a team from another casino here in crypto gambling took a step just to somehow give relief to the gamblers who became victims of Betnomi. I rarely see an offer like this that does not require a deposit, instead they can immediately play with a bonus right away.

Isn't it like Trustdice is making a sacrificial offer for the victims of betnomi? Maybe later you will be exploited by the Trustdice team because of what you said. And as for betnomi it's just sad because after several years of staying here in the crypto space it ended up in this situation and many were affected.

Or maybe they are trying to get these members to have a feel on the site and hopefully convert them to full-time players? It's one way of advertisement, and the Betnomi players not only get a text, video, or infographic, but they get to experience TrustDice directly which helps in them making the decision if they're going to play in the casino or not, completely free and no strings attached.

TrustDice doesn't have to do any of these actually, but they see an opportunity to help and to benefit and I can't hate on that.

Exactly my point. People will just hate shit for the sake of hating it nowadays. Marketing ploy or not this gives Betnomi victims something to start with and they even have the choice of not opting for it if they feel like they are being taken advantage of in this situation.

I know there are tons of casinos out there that could possibly do another Betnomi, but none of them would surely spend that much in publicity similar to what TrustDice is doing. Also, the site has been active for years, and they surely would have regulars that keep the flow of profits steady so why would they do an exit scam anyway? The road to hell might mostly be paved with good intentions, but there are good intentions that are purely to help people and not to harm them.
