300!!
wtf i will be happy if i got an extra 20 coins in the next 4 weeks. I just started 3 days ago though after the news about Mintpal
I started mining 3 hours after launch. Wish I could have gotten out of work early to switch my mining rig over sooner. Recommend teamviewer for situations like that. I hear ya. I should have had some sort of remote connection to my mining rig. If I ever fire it back up, I won't make that mistake again. All I did for monitoring was to run a cron job PhP and had the results uploaded to a website. I could see my machines running, but not change anything. At the time it seemed like a good solution.

up to 30 days before wallet stakes mate, ive been going a good while on mine now and only had a few.. They will come though... I have not "optimised" my coins either for staking.....
OK - ty. Do you know why the wallet says 14 hrs until reward though? What does that mean? That number is an estimate. I don't know if it is accurate or not, but like Teka said, it is a lottery of sorts. You have your weight and the network weight. I think those are what determine your "time until reward." I view it like solo mining. Your weight is your hashrate, and the network rate is the difficulty. You can run the calculations and it says you should find a block every 14 hours, but we all know, there is a lot of variance when mining/minting. So you could find 20 blocks in a day and then go 10 days before finding the next one. Staking is working fine for me. I have staked more than 300 XC since PoS blocks started (which was before the end of PoW).

Lastly, whenever I pay someone, I specify that change is sent to an address I've already backed up the private key of. Otherwise, the wallet will create a new address for the change and I'll have to make a new backup of its private key. Always remember this last thing, or you'll lose coins at some point.
What does this mean? If you have one transaction in your wallet for 100 XC and you want to send someone 50 XC, the wallet will actually send 100 and then the 50 is sent back to your wallet with a "change" address. Change as in making change for breaking your 100. This is how it works for all coins and is not specific to XC. I think you can control where the change gets sent to using the coin control options in the wallet.

Question; how is it that were on rev 2.45 when rev2 isn't 100%?
Really? How else would you propose they increment the builds? Rev 2.45 is still Rev 2. I get it now, sorry I was a bit confused. Hehe, I was too when I read your question. Sorry if I came across as harsh. No offense meant.

Interesting site ( www.dogeagainstbreastcancer.com), especially when you go to the "about us" page. How do either of those two young "kids" have a son old enough to make a mock website? ...With that said i assigned my son to make a mock Website for us using only half his day... Hell if my kid can out do it then...i Know my son would be itching to help in projects
This guy just lies to try and manipulate the markets to his benefit.

What is the status of Rev 2? Any recent updates?
You sling shit and 10 minutes later want help, unbelievable.

Here come the CLOAK and CINNI trolls. Yup, I was just about to say the same thing. The "uncensored XC" thread is dead, so now they have to come here.

ok, I have downloaded the wallet, thought I might give a shot to staking, but it's not happening ...it's always like this: any solution for this newbee? patience, grasshopper. also, to stake most efficiently, make sure your coins are in 50-500 coin blocks. there's an excellent guide on the website. The guide doesn't tell you though if there is an easy method to putting those coins in addresses from a one address balance. Is it really manually generating each address new and then sending x amount?? As far as I know that is something that must be done manually. It would be a nice feature to automate that process, so I think you have a good suggestion. Maybe one of the devs will look at this and agree. I don't think 50-500 coin blocks means 50-500 in each address. I have three addresses that have coins in my wallet and each address has way more than 550 coins. I don't have any issues staking but all of my transactions (except for one) have been less than 333 coins. I think the 50-500 coin blocks means that the transactions are from 50-550 coins as opposed to having 10,000 coins in a single transaction. For example, you bought 33,300 coins and want to send them to one address in your wallet. It would be better to send 100 transactions of 333 coins to that address instead of one lump sum of 33,300.

Exactly. Plus it can take a minimum of 8 hours to a maximum of 30 days for your coins to stake (as listed in the OP).

...Pookie, you were a sound guy, stop acting like an arse now...
I question that he is a stand up guy. Go look at his posts in the Cloak thread. He is posting the same pictures there that he posted here when he was pumping XC. The pics of the globe and the one of an astronaut sitting on the moon drinking a beer. Now the only difference is that they have the Cloak logo and not the XC logo.

I may only hold 20k but my buddy MrBoh Holds much more... not sure what hes gonan do but i told him i exited.. and he told me bitcad4u exited so theres another smart investor gone...
Well, I own more than all three of you combined, and I am holding long-term. To be honest, I am glad to hear that you and MrBoh are out. I know the direction XC is headed. And I will help take it there. +1

Hahahah had over 20k and alot of smart investors are dumping.... sorry to say but you it really is looking like Cinni project... its a tough pill to swallow when all the pieces are there but the market wont have it
20k, that's it? With all the screaming, moaning, and chest thumping you have done in this thread about how you were a major investor, and how you could do it better, one would have thought that you had 200k. Its funny, I own more than 1% of total XC supply and I don't go around and question DEV/PR on how they are doing their jobs and tell them that my high school son could do a better job than they are. Obvious pumper is obvious. He's actually buying like hell right now I see what you are saying, but it doesn't look like it to me from this post on the previous page. Must be some reverse psychology. ahaha: Said Big fuck up with release would lead to big implications... I have dumped over 50% of my holdings... i Feel like this is cinni all over again.. the tech is there and the team delivers... but people got burnned on price and then got burned on Rev2.. i still hold some XC in hope it will rise and also because i know how strong the team is... Put most of my xc sell off in to CLOAK theyr doing huge things. Good luck XC i will keep monitoring as i am holdign but not as much as i once did

Too many copycat coins out there. What happens now is price re-evaluation. Those prices were ok a few weeks ago, but now its just too inflated. Not only XC price dropping, but other similiar projects as well.
But other coins can't do what this one can Give it time and be patient. The official launch of XC isn't until the release of Rev 3 (iirc). Lets wait and see what happens after that.

...I unlocked my encrypted wallet with "for staking only" checked, and I was still able to send XC without entering my password. This seems like a bug to me.
I do believe it is a bug and was mentioned some days/pages ago.

Currently each wallet can function as trustless mixer but it has to have 550xc in it. This requirement might change as we do more testing.
Does each trustless mixer need its own distinct IP address or can I have multiple computers running wallets as trustless mixers on my home network?

How many confirmations before coins are considered "mature"?
How many confirmations before coins are considered "mature"?
180The question is confusing, well to me anyway. How many confirmations until you can use the minted coin, or how long until new coins in your wallet can start staking? It takes 180 confirmations for your minted coins to be to be used. It takes 8 hours minimum for the coins to mature enough to be able to stake. So how many blocks/confirmations will it take for the minted coin to be able to stake? At a 90 second block time, 320 blocks/confirmations. Or would it be 180 confirmations + 8 hours = 500 blocks/confirmations?

How do I maximize my XC earnings?
Will "seeding" earn me more?
From what I understand, with the Rev 2 wallet, you will be "seeding" and staking at the same time. Currently I think there still is the 550 XC requirement to be an Xnode, but I'm not sure, and that number may change. I thought REV2 got rid of Xnodes? In Rev 2, I think every wallet is an Xnode.
