Very annoying.
This sort of merit abuse cripples the main purpose of the merit system. Imagine if a number of individuals realize that they can abuse merit to such an extent and still get away with it.

I know we are discouraged from tagging such chaps but something has to be done... or at least members can be asked to vote on whether to reverse merit transactions of such cases when discovered.

People are always going to find ways to cheat the system and merit abuse is inevitable, but it's probably quite rare that people do it to this extent, but it's easy to spot when it happens. Sending large amounts of merit always sticks out so abuse is easy to spot, but it's the smaller numbers that fly under the radar.

Is this something like a nuked user?

And the merited post/reply is the same based on the link of the merited post on merit page which either deleted by the user itself or some mod.

If not, probably, a merit abuse or just experiment ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌

No. The account isn't nuked so he must have deleted all the posts (unless another staff member did it). Likely trying to hide something but kinda stupid if his intention was to rank up as he's now going to have to post consistently over time to get the activity to rank up to Full Member which is what I'm guessing was his intention.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 07, 2020, 08:54:38 AM
Liverpool will focus on the champions league

Where does this come from? Do you talk with Klopp and the rest of the team? Or is this just an opinion from unreliable pundits that got paid for saying bullshit?

They never explicitly said they'll sacrifice the premier league. In fact, most of the time, they said 'we are hungry for more' which should be interpreted as more trophies regardless of whether it's prem or champions league. They even play their kids in the Carabao Cup to win the World Cup.

Why would they "sacrifice" the Premier League and who said that? That would suggest that they've given up on it and when they're 13 points clear with a game in hand there's no need to sacrifice anything. There's a big difference between sacrificing and focusing on something though. What they could do is concentrate more on the Champion's League now as they can afford to lose a couple of games in the PL and most big teams often rest players for games in the CL and Liverpool might start to do this now. I don't think they should get complacent though as it's cockiness that can quickly get you into trouble and we've seen teams blow it in the new year before and both Liverpool and Leeds did it last year.

during this year while Liverpool is more than 365 days without losing a game. These facts are enough for me to bet on Liverpool to win the Premier League any amount of money I may have saved apart.

But that doesn't mean they can't lose. City were doing pretty well until those few losses. Obviously they're unlikely to throw the title away now but they gave away a ten point lead last year at round about this time so anything can happen.

Liverpool will focus on the champions league and maybe Klopp will take the decision to rest main players when playing versus Tottenham on Tottenham stadium. it's a good chance for Mourinho.

This is not the main players should be rested in this week's game because only a few core players must be prepared for the champions league, Klop also still does not want to lose the match at this EPL so that the other main players will be played. Will this Liverpool match be defeated by Tottenham, let's watch it later.

Liverpool have a new player Takumi Minamino, from the media reportedly this player can play in various positions even up to 7 positions
So it's not a problem for Liverpool if Mane or Salah does not play.

Can he play in net when Allison gets sent off?  Grin

Liverpool will focus on the champions league and maybe Klopp will take the decision to rest main players when playing versus Tottenham on Tottenham stadium. it's a good chance for Mourinho.

I doubt that'll be the case, Liverpool won't mind trading the champions league for the premier league title that they desperately want. Don't forget, they have been champions of Europe on numerous occasions already. I'm quite sure the manager would be aware of this by now. Nevertheless, Liverpool currently are capable of winning both leagues, they're already the potential champions of England so defending their champions league title will just make the season, a never forgettable one since they have already won "The UEFA supper cup and FIFA club world cup". It's quite amazing how still change the moment you start winning, remember 2 years ago Klopp had no trophy with Liverpool.

A team like Liverpool should be playing for both and as many trophies as they can get. There's no reason why they can't do the double/treble. Heck, they could have gone for all four and that's why I was so annoyed that they threw away the Carabao cup (and not just because I had a bet on for that  Grin). Winning the league is a big statement in itself, but Liverpool should be trying to prove or cement their greatness by winning multiple trophies like the greats do.

Mourinho Tottenham won't be the same without kane so him been injured have taken the competition out of the game. Although even with him playing Liverpool would had still been the favorite to win but Kane presence with addition to Mourinho been a tourmenter of Liverpool in the premier league, the game would had been a must watch but guess this will just be an easy workover for Liverpool. Easy three points secured. Prediction: 2-1 in favour of Liverpool.

I probably would have gone for a draw if Kane was playing, but a 1-0 or 2-1 scoreline to Liverpool is probably what I'll end up going with.
1703  Other / Meta / Re: This website needs a face lift, it's 2020 for christ sake! on: January 07, 2020, 08:24:22 AM
I'm not a member of any other forum anymore, so I don't know what kind of advances have been made as far as functionalities and "looks" and all that--therefore I have nothing to compare bitcointalk against and I don't see it as really lacking anything.

I've always been a big fan of consistency when it comes to websites.  It drives batshit insane when sites like eBay keep changing how the site looks and works, and I don't think they ought to be doing that.  A lot of changes that get made aren't for the better, and I'm afraid that if bitcointalk gets an overhaul with this new software it might be very annoying (at least at first).

But I'm an old fart, and I don't like change.  It's you young whippersnappers that want to keep fooling with things, meddling in my affairs and walking on my lawn.  lol

As a basic form it does what it needs to do, but it is very outdated. As outdated as this forum is, I'd kinda like to keep the layout how it is though but just with some improvements and new features which are badly needed. Things like 2fa are essential these days and especially on a tech forum like this. I've been on a few forums and websites in the past where they've done a complete redesign or update and it's always difficult getting used to and lots of people always complain that the previous was better and it's inevitable that this will also happen here. Like when the merit system happened there were threads for months voicing their displeasure and the same will happen when we switch to the new form software. For those of us that use the forum everyday and are on it as much as were are it's going to take some time to adapt but we'll get used to it but it'll take some time.
1704  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for approved reports to moderator on: January 06, 2020, 10:56:15 AM
As others have said, this would just be abused. I do think there should be some sort of rewards for reporting posts though as it's a thankless task and a waste of time for most people so most users probably don't bother. In the past the very high reporters have been made made mods but that rarely happens these days and there's users with tens of thousands accurate reports so there's not really anything in terms of a reward for reporting and you notice it sometimes as a lot of spam threads or threads that are blatantly in the wrong section don't get reported for a very long time if at all. As yahoo said though, there has been talk of reporter badges but I'm not sure if that'll ever happen. I think they should happen though and should come with a few perks as a reward. Maybe there could be some sort of special rank included. I think if there were badges/rewards people probably would start reporting more and everyone benefits.
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying Bitcoin in Iran? on: January 06, 2020, 09:36:05 AM
Please note that its actually incorrect to say money is getting in or out certain physical place. If it becomes bitcoin, it is bitcoin everywhere. Bitcoin is border-less, once you change your country's fiat into Bitcoin, you have gained a worldwide asset. So rather than saying the money leaves Iran, you could say the money enters Bitcoin. It can still be used inside Iran at any moment, unlike doing the same with forex or some foreign bank account. The difference is huge if you stop to think about it...

It's not incorrect, especially if all people are doing is just converting their cash to bitcoin just so they can bypass restrictions so they can easily send it somewhere then cash out back to whatever fiat currency they want then all bitcoin has played a part in is transferring wealth. Not necessarily a bad thing as people are still transacting with bitcoin which is good, but if the money only technically stays in bitcoin temporarily then people aren't using is as a store of value/wealth, which still would be risky for them given bitcoin's volatility.
1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is buying Bitcoin in Iran? on: January 04, 2020, 05:12:31 PM
Apparently the price has trebled on the local Bitcoins market. So is it rich people trying to preserve their wealth, or is it people using it for everyday purchases? Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi, chairman of Iran’s economic commission, has stated that more than $2.5 billion has been transferred out of the country via Bitcoin. Will this be the primary function of Bitcoin as we creep towards World War 3?

It could just be average citizens afraid that their local currency is going to tank because of possible war or economic sanctions. From what I remember from Venezuela there was a lot of regular citizens buying up bitcoin when their economy went tits up after hyperinflation set in. Maybe people in Iran are just using bitcoin to easily get their money out of the country as I'm sure it's much easier to do than the other cash alternatives which I'm sure a lot of them have already been restricted by the US.

I know that the second most important man of Iran, just died yesterday in that attack.

Is that true? I thought that he was the public head of a covert operations section, and not that important. They seem to have replaced him pretty quickly, and expanded the department, so it looks as if once again the US has shot itself in the foot. It was an orchestrated move according to John Bolton, and not the preemptive strike that the media reports. In fact it was really the murder of a diplomat attending a planned and well reported meeting in a foreign sovereign state, and many see it as yet another example of US terrorism.

The media was basically kind of saying that's he's essentially the second most powerful man in Iran, but not sure how accurate that is. I guess being the head of the military is a powerful position but it's not like it's just one step down from the president.

Lol - there’s no pain similar to having a size 4 football being volleyed into your thigh at the age of 11 on a cold January day  Smiley Oh the memories  Smiley

Yeah I remember that too. It stung like a bitch. We also had the magic sponge. No matter what injury you went down for whether it was a dead leg or a broken foot the manager would trot onto the pitch with his bucket and sponge and douse wherever the injury was with ice cold water, which is the last thing you want on a freezing cold morning. Used to hate running around with soggy socks/boots (that's if it wasn't already pissing it down with rain). No idea how they thought a wet sponge was a good idea but they used to use them in professional football back in the day so I guess they really were magic. They used to make me get up and carry on when I saw them anyway so I guess they worked Cheesy.

@hilarious: lols no I never played in the UK except 1 very quick 5 vs 5 on artificial pitch (I'm not from there!). I have played on frozen pitch only once in 2005... I remember because it snowed in Geneva for the first time in 5 years apparently, and I happened to be there for work. I definitely hurt myself, but it was just one night of thick snow. But for sure every part of the world must have tough football and UK stone balls and stone pitches are the only explanation for breeding the monsters of Gerrard, Carragher, Vardy. Good times but I suspect we're all here too old to try them again.

Oh, I thought you were in the UK for some reason.

My opinion on the VAR remains that if a referee has been selected to officiate then his decision should remain paramount, Sideline review or VAR room, He should be the one making the review in most cases, if not they can as well scrap the need of having a referee out on the field and communicate all the decisions through the public address system.

The trouble with that though is it's just going to add an insane amount of stoppage time if the ref has to review everything on the sideline. There's enough officials about. Maybe the guy who does the substitutions could do it but I think the team of VAR officials in their little FA dungeon somewhere should be counted on to be able to make the call without much hassle or hesitation. I would still suggest that they stop looking for everything any anything and just use it when called upon by one of the teams for a review which would stop all the unnecessary stoppage and waiting about.
1708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islam is a shitcoin forked from Christianity shitcoin that was forked from Jews? on: January 04, 2020, 09:53:39 AM
So I live on a beach in Denpasar and have a lot of time to think about stuff.
Last nite I was sucking down some arak bali and realized that all religions are essentially shitcoins forked from some old original source.
Total WHOA moment right there amirite fam?

You signed up to post this?  Cheesy. But sure, just like planet earth is a shitcoin forked from the stars going supernova. The Abrahamic religions are all pretty much rip-offs of the ones that came before it, and those are mostly reworkings/re-writings of all the various pagan religions before that. Nothing is original these days and is influenced by anything that came before it. Music, recipes, art, culture, even bitcoin.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: January 04, 2020, 09:30:11 AM
snip

If only gamblers can do their individual win/loss tracking also, they might start to realize how much money they've already burned on the table.

Or won  Cheesy. Keeping track of your profit/loss would be advisable, though if you've lost a lot it might be depressing to think about, though perhaps also a wake up call that you should change your habbits or quit. I think a good rule of thumb is just to work out how much you are ok with on spending on entertainment. A football match in the UK probably costs £30+ as does an average meal out at a restaurant. Are you ok with risking/losing £30 a week? If so, then maybe stick to that as your weekly bankroll. If you lose it's no biggie but win or lose hopefully the entertainment value is worth it.

I assume you are gambling on a single site only?

Yeah, I only use Skybet. It's easier to keep track of things that way. Some bookies do have better odds but they're pretty much one of the only sportsbooks I've found that give you a free bet every week (£5 free bet if you stake £25 in bets and £25 is usually my limit every week). Skybet also do great 3 fold accumulator price boosts on the 3'o clock Premier League kick offs which is what tend to bet on so I often put them on.

I cannot do the tracking myself because I am gambling here and there. A little online bet here, another on a lottery outlet there, another on a scratch to win stub, one NBA bet against a workmate, etc. Win/loss tracking is now impossible to do.

It's not impossible, but takes a little effort. You could just use a spreadsheet to keep track of your expenditure/earnings. I keep my balance on the site so I can always see how much I'm up or down easily. I used to put my bankroll for the entire season in my account at the start with the logic that if I lost it then I'd just cut my loses and quit. Luckily that never happened and I've just kept the money in my account and used that as my bankroll for the next season and so on. For some this might not be possible if they need the money but if you use a bookies that shows you your profit/loss then you wouldn't need to do this anyway.

If only gamblers can do their individual win/loss tracking also, they might start to realize how much money they've already burned on the table.
if only we will realized earlier?but the thing is we need to lose too much first before we finally accept the fact that gambling is not reliable if we are seeking for profit.

I cannot do the tracking myself because I am gambling here and there. A little online bet here, another on a lottery outlet there, another on a scratch to win stub, one NBA bet against a workmate, etc. Win/loss tracking is now impossible to do.
you dont need to track your win or loss, instead you have to find out how much you can afford to lose that wont affect your real life,or your future.

My point is that the accumulated amount has more impact than the smaller ones that you can easily burn at the gambling table. 100$ is an amount you can easily afford to lose. But the point is that how many 100$ have you been burning away because of your gambling losses? If you go home knowing that on that day you only lost 80$, you will not be going home in pain. But if you add everything up in the past 5 months and you will see 2,500$ in gambling losses, then perhaps that will remind you to moderate more your gambling expenses.

True, but you could also do the same with many other things in life. How much money do people waste on clothes, pizzas, coffee, subscriptions, trinkets, accessories, games and so on? I think the key is whether the behavior becomes toxic or not and whether it adds enjoyment to your life without breaking the bank.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 04, 2020, 09:10:06 AM
Lols on the pic from Africa. I have had the pleasure of playing football in East Africa... pitches are rock hard and players are tough as nails

Did you not ever play Sunday league as a kid in the UK? Both the pitches and balls were the hardest thing known to man  Cheesy. It wasn't the reckless horror tackles that you needed to worry about but breaking your bones from hitting the frozen cold winter ground on the way down Grin. I remember some of the balls we played with also being rock solid that a fair few times the top of my foot would be bruised from kicking them. Good times but I don't exactly miss playing at 11 AM in the morning in the freezing cold rain on pitches that were either too frozen or too muddy to be played on.

No EPL games this weekend and FA Cup games doesn't looks very interesting, except Wolves - MU, but I might turn on one of games with lower league teams playing to feel atmosphere of less fancy, classic English football.

There's the mersyside derby tomorrow which is on TV on the BBC so I'll watch that, but you're right that it's mostly dull fixtures today. I won't be bothering with any of them so I might take the time to catch up on one or two films I missed from last year instead.

About the yellow cap stuff and prize, i thought those that'll recieve reward will be based on who gets the highest yellow caps after conclusion of the tournament? I have won the cap like twice or so although performing badly on the pool, I was hopefully on a consolation there 😭 that's disappointing. So it'll be all about the points and not the number of times you won the yellow cap

Yes. If we were to do it the other way then one of the top 5 are more likely to also win it since it would reward consistently high scorers which are what the main prizes are for anyway. I did it just for the highest points from a round so even on the last day of games somebody still has a chance of winning something so there's always reason to keep playing. Even early in the season it could become apparent that someone has a lot of yellow caps and you are unlikely to catch them or on the last few rounds if some players are well ahead on caps then there's no way you'll be able to catch them so that's why I think this way is fairer. Just keep trying your best and hopefully you'll grab a high score.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: January 03, 2020, 06:28:08 PM
I was reading the news this morning and one of the headlines was about a terrible stealing incident involving an alleged gambling addict. The man is an employee of R&L Investments, one of the Philippines' oldest stock brokerage firms. He was able to orchestrate a way to suck at least ₱700-million worth of stocks from the company to support his gambling addiction. This is around 14 million USD, huge enough for the company to decide its closure after 5 decades of operation.[1]

This case made me remember another news that shocked the country and beyond more than a couple of years ago. This incident involved another gambling addict who tried to burn down the casino inside Resorts World Manila. The man entered the casino fully armed and attempted to steal chips. It went awry and much worse from there, and ended up burning himself alive. The gambling addiction of the perpetrator had reached its worst end after initially causing separation from his family, selling of properties including his home and car, incurring huge debts, and so on. The incident claimed dozens of lives.[2]

Those are just a couple of very extreme examples and it's like comparing the very few maniacs who get in a car and mow people down or the idiots who get insanely drunk or have a drug-bender and then kill their wife or something and then holding them up as examples of how bad cars or alcohol/drugs are. The key with anything potentially addictive is moderation. If you do something that is potentially addictive everyday and it starts to consume your life then you're probably going to develop a problem at some point and you're probably engaging in such behaviour to try numb out some sort of personal issue you have or lack of enjoyment or purpose in life much like drug addicts do as they're self-medicating for their problems. People who get addicted to gambling are probably also constantly chasing that buzz of the adrenaline of winning. The guy who bankrupted his employer's company by stealing millions is just insane to me and it must just be the buzz of winning that he craves rather than actually wanting to acquire wealth because instead of gambling it away he could have just kept the millions he stole and ran off with that and lived a happy - or at the very least a comfortable - life. Gambling has always just been a form of entertainment to me and makes sports much more interesting. I only really gamble on the weekend on the football and I always stick to my limits and when the seasons over I stop until the next one. I don't really bet that much but I keep a track of my wins/losses and am actually a few thousand pounds in profit since I started. Only about £240 this year though:

but I was well over £1000 last year:

Just hit over £1k profit in the past 12 months recently:

I usually do much better as well. The only tournaments I've ever lost money on so far are the the last Euros and World Cup. Only lost my £100 bankroll which was all profit from previous seasons so still no losses in the grand scheme of things.

I want to ask my fellow gamblers here, what is the worst thing you have done for your gambling hobby or habit? Have you come to the point of getting addicted to it and how did you counter it?

I've never felt like I was not in control but just treat gambling as a bit of fun, stick to your limits and don't chase your losses. If you feel like you're starting to get pulled in to a habit then take a break and go find something productive to do to occupy your mind so you're not thinking about gambling. Same with drink or drugs really. If you do them once in a while or just on the weekend then you're unlikely to develop a problem but when you start to do them more and more and they start to take over your life then that's when it starts to become a habit and you should quit before it does.

I got the fucking wooden spoon  Cheesy

Welcome to the club  Grin.

I was just too offset to come drop my view after the disappointing game we had against Brighton on the 1st. Imagine struggling to maintain a draw in a game you went up with one goal advantage in just 10 minutes and had 80 more minutes plus additional times to double your lead but no we allowed Brighton to get something out of the match and if not for Tottenham and Manchester United poor performance, our advantage would had been reduced to just 3 and 2 points respectively. (speaking of the top 4 spot).

Surely you can take some comfort in that world class scissor kick that Brighton scored?  Grin It really was perfect: https://youtu.be/TCNqYnAaZYw?t=117

You can't even be mad when those sorts of goals are scored. I remember when Sweden - or should I say Zlatan - drubbed England and Zlatan scored one of the greatest goals ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzvQCbdAIZQ

I was sat there thinking flabbergasted thinking fair play.

Here are the current top five yellow caps for those interested:

LTU_btc 20.5
hilariousandco 20.5
tomahawk9 18.5
bigdaddy 17.5
famLFC 17

17.5 points is what you need to beat to grab a prize-winning place so still something to play for for those who are looking likely to finish outside of the top 5 overall.

1713  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-31] Countdown: Craig Wright’s 1m BTC fortune to be unlocked in hour on: January 03, 2020, 11:03:58 AM

Also, what happened to Craig's twitter? Can't seem to find it.

https://twitter.com/ProfFaustus

His account has been suspended some months back,  after some harassing tweets. He created another account then but the same happened.
I don't remember very well but there is a story too with a bot on Twitter that was retweeting all his tweets (for people blocked by him). He started to cry saying the bot breaks copyright law and stealing intellectual property.

Ah. Thanks. As much as I despise Wright I hope he was banned for something actually ban-worthy. People being deplatformed these days just for something minor or saying something someone didn't like is getting pretty annoying and quite scary with how frequent it happens and over such minor events. People are far too soft these days. People can't even take a joke and the sad thing is even liberal comedians are getting treated the same as actual fascists.

Is he communicating directly on any other platform?

What happened to this? We're already Jan. 3 and i cant see any further updates towards this unlocking event. Grin Cant find even his Twitter.
By the way i do enjoy on reading this up: https://modernconsensus.com/people/exclusive-craig-wright-what-ill-do-with-satoshi-nakamotos-billions/

See above.

We might know nothing

Dave died, and might have never set up things to 'deliver'.

Who knows ?  - It is all speculation here.

We only know CSW is creating lots of work and patents around original BitCoin - to get it ready for enterprice useage

2020 will Show that

There is almost certainly no courier or at least not one sent by anyone other than Craig himself. Craig is a total fantasist but it makes me wonder why he doesn't put a bit more thought into certain things. Setting such an early date on this magical courier is just another self-imposed shot in the foot when he has to explain why it didn't happen. Why didn't he say the courier will turn up in 2030 or something. At least that gives him plenty of time to think up a better excuse.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 03, 2020, 10:23:39 AM
Manchester United are the worse team in the EPL, it's quite surprising to see that when when their competitors vying for the Champions League slots next season seems to drop points
That's quite an exaggeration, and Manchester United are in 5th place and are just five points behind 4th place Chelsea, that isn't too far behind for them or irrecoverable in their battle for a top four slot, they are still well in it, even though I personally do not think they'll make it into the top four(there are still a lot of games and a whole lot could happen though).
I have no doubt Liverpool today because they keep trying to set an unbeaten record,
Liverpool are favorites against any team in the epl this season, except maybe city when it's at the etihad. Sheffield are a good side, I'll love to see their approach in this game, defend and try to hit on the break, or be bold and just play their game.

Obviously saying they're the worst team in the league is an exaggeration, but that fifth position place isn't as impressive as it looks. The table is quite weird this season as there's not many points that separate a good chunk of the table outside of the top three. Man United are technically only 11 points away from a relegation zone place Grin and they're playing wildly inconsistently right now. Just when I think they're probably gonna sack Ollie they surprisingly win a couple of games, but I think Ollie's future will still be in doubt if they have another bad run soon. They've got a mixed bag of fixtures coming up and some of them could be tricky. Nobody expects them to win away at Chelsea and Liverpool but if they start dropping points to teams like Norwich, Burnley, Watford and Wolves who'll they'll be playing all before the end of Feb then that's not going to be good for them. All those teams are fighting relegation aside from Wolves so there'll definitely be some fight in them.

Watford players seems to have regained their confidence since they beat Manchester United in front of their home fans, Watford have already managed to win 3 games out of 4 matches played, I guess there is still some chance for Watford to fight for survival in the English Premier League this season if they could maintain their current form.

Their recent turn of form is definitely surprising. They were pretty much the team you could bank on to lose home or away and they were sat dead bottom of the table this time last month. I think they're still going to struggle to survive though, but Newcastle and Burnley look like they might be in trouble with both losing their last three games. It would be nice to see Watford stay up though. I think the fact that they're so actively promoting bitcoin is a big plus and great for adoption. Not only are they sponsored by a bitcoin company, but they have the bitcoin logo on their sleeves and there's lot of flashy bitcoin billboard adverts during the matches that are great exposure, especially when they're on TV.

Liverpool on the other hand are looking like invincible champions but we have games like that against José Mourinho's Tottenham to test their ability considering Mourinho always has a way of ruining Liverpool's plans and immediately after that they'll face Manchester United which although their previous game was disappointing, so far are the only team able to stop Liverpool from taking all 3 points from a game.

I'm not sure I'd back Spurs to win but I could see a draw in that game, but maybe I'm underestimating Liverpool. I do think Liverpool will draw a couple of games before the end of the season though, but I'd like to see them try beat City's record breaking title win of 100 points. If they do lose there'll surely be a lot of chat about whether Liverpool will blow it but I think they'll be fine.

I think it should depend on whether they're still available or not. Maybe a PM to some of the less-active ones every once in a while to see if they're still actively looking for work would sort any confusion out. izanagi doesn't seem to be that active any more and hasn't posted much in the last few months and I haven't run a campaign in a while but I would still happily do so and you can be rest assured I'd do a decent job. Nobody ever really seems to contact me regarding running them other than potentially shady companies or dime-a-dozen ICO and shitcoins and that's not something I'm going to stake my rep on but I'd be happy to work with any respectable companies or one where my rep isn't at stake.
I agree to your first point, checking up on some managers will ease out the tension among others, and will also create room for up and coming managers like coolcryptovator et al.

New managers need to earn their rep I think much like anyone does here before they're entrusted with things, but if a manager has demonstrated that they can successfully run a few campaigns with minimal to no spam and that's identified by the community then I think they should be considered for inclusion. I think it would be unfair for new people not to be added but at the same time I don't think anyone should be put on it much like a list of escrows. People earn their reputations by good work over time but it quickly becomes clear who is reputable for what.

I feel like sig campaigns are somewhat dying, people are losing interests, as ICOs are dying, and investing ratios have gone far down the sink. The market itself has been quite dead, and thus, less signature campaigns, and less hunting for managers. People feel like they can just bounty campaign off their whole ICO and gain 'ttraction, and they do.

Well they're certainly not as plentiful as they used to be. They'll come and go though, but as long as bitcoin/crypto is here then there will be new companies popping up and this is still a great way to advertise.

Yeah. It's more about quality than quantity. I also don't think it's a good idea having one or two people managing multiple campaigns at the same time and willing to take on even more at any time as that's what leads to shoddily run campaigns and the forum certainty notices it in the rise of spam.
Oh multiple people managing a single campaign will only cause a fucking shitshow. Most people who manage a lot of campaigns just auto count posts, and pay them for the posts, and get it done with. Obviously there are exceptions like Yahoo etc.

I meant one person running multiple campaigns and taking on more than they can handle. One person probably can't effectively run multiple campaigns with hundreds if not thousands of users on and I think that just leads to sloppyness.

Went with 3-0 on the Liverpool game and it's currently 2-0 with about ten mins to go (including probable injury time). Was debating whether to change it to 2-0 before kick off but hoping Liverpool can get another for the three points for both of us. Edit: Game just finished 2-0  Roll Eyes Tokeweed with another correct score and just beats out micro for this weeks yellow cap.

Here is an example from somewhere in Africa, maybe FA should learn from technically superior setups

No Premier League games this weekend because of the FA Cup. Liverpool/Everton derby is probably the only game worth a watch on Saturday. Then there's the Man City/United one on Tuesday as well.

If you really were satoshi then surely you'd know who the admin was? I wouldn't bother him with whatever nonsense you're going to try though as you'll just be wasting both your times, unless of course you have a signed message or some other verifiable info which if you do I'm sure he'll be all ears.

Also on your list, you have listed a few managers, who have not done the job for a long time. One or two campaigns in the past maybe are not enough to be called campaign managers.

Okay, so the reason why I listed a few managers was not just because of the number of campaigns they managed, its more about how they managed, and how they handled rough scenarios. A person might manage 100 campaigns but manage it terribly, where his post counting could go wrong, delay payments unnecessarily etc. Doesn't make him a good manager, does it?

Yeah. It's more about quality than quantity. I also don't think it's a good idea having one or two people managing multiple campaigns at the same time and willing to take on even more at any time as that's what leads to shoddily run campaigns and the forum certainty notices it in the rise of spam.

As with most things I'd say take them on a case by case basis. If they're mostly about alts or specifically bitcoin cash then they should be in the alt coin section but if they're just repeating the same things and offer nothing new in terms of discussion or evidence then they're redundant and should just be trashed. There's already enough threads of who is satoshi and is craig wright really satoshi and they usually get trashed and so should any others unless they're claiming something new or fresh.

Some people find his trolling amusing.

It might be funny if he was trolling, but he's not. He's deadly serious and has to be to try commit his various frauds. He's in too deep to just come out now and say otherwise and doing so would just open him up to a lot of legal trouble (as if he wasn't in enough already).
1720  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-31] Countdown: Craig Wright’s 1m BTC fortune to be unlocked in hours on: January 02, 2020, 01:38:18 PM
However, Wright claimed he was unable to access the funds, as they were held in the Tulip Trust, a Seychelles-based fund. But, despite having lost the keys to the funds, Wright claims Kleiman hired a bonded courier to return the keys to Wright on Jan. 1, 2020.

Craig Wright should consider a career as a screenwriter as he's a master storyteller aka bullshit artist. A bonded courier? I just get this image of someone on an all black motorcycle coming over the horizon to hand over a magic USB stick to Craig then mysteriously disappear.

Actual picture of Trinity delivering Satoshi directly to Craig:

What I don't understand is why did he give himself a date of 2020 and not one in the distant future as he should know he's just going to have to answer more questions when the so-called courier doesn't show up and then come out with more bullshit explanations. I really wonder if he's going to continue with this shtick to the grave. I'd have much more respect for him if he just came out of the crypto closet and claim it was just some elaborate troll for the lulz.

Also, what happened to Craig's twitter? Can't seem to find it.
