A massive 82.5% of voters in this poll think Joshua but to be honest I would have the percentage would have been much higher but I would advise for all to take caution

We'll he's certainly the strong favourite but so he was for the Ruiz fight and look what happened there. I'll be watching the fight for sure. Luckily it's on Dazn so I don't have to pay the £25 for PPV.

A pretty unpredictable round this week. I'm on a mere 2.5 points so far but it seems about 3.5 was the average score this week. Might even be able to get the yellow cap though if I get tonight's two game's scores right (and the ones above me don't). I thought I was going to get the 2-1 Southampton win but then they went and blew it. Looks like Ollie is saved yet again. I think Arteta might be the first to go the way Arsenal are playing right now.

Just started watching Arsenal - Wolves and immediately there was a bad injury to Jimenez, not sure if he is even conscious. It looks really bad and physios/doctors are administering help for more then 5 minutes now. Hopefully it is nothing serious, keeping my fingers crossed.

I did not see what happened exactly, looks like head collision with David Luiz. Luiz seems to be fine with bad cut on the head.

Didn't watch the game but caught the highlights. They didn't even show the incident or comment on it.

He/She managed to pay another past due loan to @harizen when he/she came back and joined the Duelbits campaign. There were other instances of delays but he still paid. Although the loans he/she took in our local lending isn't as huge as what's owed to you, I'm more inclined to believe that @asu is really in a tight spot but he/she still has the intention of paying you back.

Lending people money in bitcoin can turn honest people into dishonest ones pretty quickly. They might have every intention of paying it back but if they're unable to or the price rises significantly then it's all too easy to just disappear as there's probably little to no real world ramifications and the only damage done to them is a ruined account. That's what it looks like has happened here as he popped back to make repayments when he could have just disappeared but if he's under financial difficulty in real life then its going to be very difficult to make repayments back and would be far easier to just go awol.

Lending people money here is incredibly risky and doesn't really seem worth it in my opinion because all it takes is one person to run off with a decent chunk and your business will probably be in the red overall. You have to remember this question: why are they lending it in the first place? It's either because obviously they don't have sufficient money, which is already a red flag, or they're just borrowing to pay it back and build feedback up. Some will do this for legitimate reasons and others will do it for the long con

When you say "taken over" do you mean they've become active after a long period of inactivity, or has there been a proven hack?  I would think that when bitcoin shot up past $19k, that would incentivize quite a few members (and/or their alt accounts) to come back and try to get into a signature campaign.

The accounts that have been spreading the 'Ethereum pill' malware. There's hundreds of them. You might not have noticed them if you haven't gone in the alt coin board though as they mainly seem to post in the eth thread there. They're all very old accounts that have been inactive for years so they probably just targeted ones with weak passwords and bruteforced them. Kinda stupid really because they get banned straight away and they could have probably made more money just by selling the accounts as there's a lot of decently ranked ones there.

Agreed.  As I said before, I've had a suspicion that nullius is Lauda's alt account, but it's just that: a suspicion, with no evidence.  But Lauda had been a part of bitcointalk for a very long time, and I do find it hard to believe that he'd just abandon his account for good.  We'll see, I guess.

I really doubt that nullius is lauda's alt. I don't think lauda is gone though. I'm sure he's on another account. Nullius just seems the same sort of autist that timelord is, but more pretentious.

Thought the Leeds game was gonna be another 0-0 thriller like it was with Arsenal last week but Leeds went and got the goal late on. I thought they dominated the first half and deserved the win, even though I backed them to lose. At least Leeds aren't conceding a ridiculous amount like they were, but these last two games shorelines really haven't been indicative of their performances.

Just popping on to say what a joke the PL officiating is atm. VAR is ruining the game, I’m so fed up with it. Every week something screws us, getting so annoying. You can’t even celebrate a goal any more because there’s always a good chance VAR are going to **** you.

I didn't watch it but just checked the highlights now and again it's one of those decisions where they've used a bad angle. Had they had a 'birds eye view' or one directly down the line it might have been onside, but either way who cares about these millimetre decisions. I seriously think they should consider allowing them if one part of the body is onside... or preferably getting rid of VAR  Grin.



The last penalty was harsh, even though there was minor contact. Had he not purposely gone down with the amateur dramatics it wouldn't have been given. Not surprisingly nobody backed the draw but two people did go with the 1-0 home win.

This forum isn't a museum. A 16-man gangbang is a place of work but it doesn't belong in the office, nor do images of it even if they were painted by Courbet or any other French painter. You can certainly browse as many pictures as you want in your office if that so pleases you, but a lot of people here don't work in a museum or the Vatican and a lot of users likely won't want to be caught with vaginas on their screen - art or not - not to mention a lot of bosses and co-workers probably wouldn't appreciate it either. Sadly, I'm sure just calling them 'ignorant, uncultured rubes' wouldn't save them from their jobs or a disciplinary warning either.

It's not against the rules, but trolling and being a nuisance is so you can't just start screaming racial abuse at people just to try rile them up. It's probably an ad hominem most of the time and likely off-topic in most threads anyway. Abusing people based on their race tells me a lot about them though and these people usually aren't worth your time and if this sort of thing offends someone they should just utilise the ignore button and problem solved. It's not a game I'll be watching either way. Got a draw written all over it for me. Chelsea/Spurs is the game to watch for me this week. I might go with the Arsenal/Wolves match as well.

I feel like all 3 of those games could end up as tight draws, or one-sided. I picked with some hesitation a Newcastle slight upset on betting, Palace are the type of team who know how to snatch a win (Zaha's always good for a goal) but Toon Army need points on the road...

Yeah, I've gone for a couple of draws on them. Annoyingly I had 0-0 on last nights game and then Newcastle went and scored at 88 minutes then another two minutes later. 0-0 are always scores you can get a decent lead on points from as it's by far the least picked score, though four others did go for it as well on that game.

I just submitted my picks as well, I initially had Newcastle to win 0 - 1, but I'm changing my mind and I've going with the bookies with 2 - 1 Crystal Palace to win, despite Newcastle having Wlison and Jonjo Shelvy ...

I changed my mind a few times too, saw buwaytress predictions on Newcastle in another thread, and I thought it was a really good bet. And then I went for a more conservative draw after reading all the stuff from other analysts, and then finally switched like you to 2-1 which also was what the bookies seemed to think were the most likely outcome.

Guess I should do less research and go with my first instinct!

Sometimes you change them and they come in and sometimes your original choice does, but I tend to stick to my guns unless there's line-up changes.

Maybe they got spooked by the amount of coins/value you transferred there or the coins you sent were 'tainted' somehow. I'm sure they use some sort of tracking software to analyse where the coins come from and if they see anything traced back to the darknet or maybe some scams or ponzi schemes etc they might just take this extreme action to try cover their backs. They probably should give you the reason though.

I've been with coinbase since bitcoin was $32. I started buying through coinbase. Recently I moved some btc to my own wallet which I've always done. a few months later i login and it says my account is restricted and i need to contact support.

In my opinion, if you have been around that long, you should have no need for Coinbase. I was banned from Coinbase many years ago and I didn't (and still don't) care..

Most people need to cash out their coins somehow. Coinbase might not be great but it's quick and simple to use, especially for beginners.

I've been around long enough to know nothing is guaranteed. $100k by next year is a bit of a stretch and as much as all the institutional money is coming in we can still see collapses the moment people get spooked. Doesn't take much if anything at all to spook people either.

Did nobody mention the Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor fight was finally confirmed for UFC 257 in January? Can't say I'm that fussed for the match up itself but it will be nice to see Conor fight again. I feel like he's still to reach his potential and hope he doesn't sulk off again.

People are getting excited about Khabib's insta post a couple of days ago saying see you soon to Dana White, but they could just be meeting up for a kebab for all we know  Cheesy.



Conor eventually fighting Khabib again would surely break records especially as it will be his 30th fight and potentially 30th win. I hope Khabib doesn't retire either way and hopefully he was just emotional after the fight which is understandable.

Michel Pereira is always fun to watch with his acrobatic street fighter moves but no idea why he's on the preliminary card though.

I don't think that these things should be regulated. IMO, it should be left for each campaign to decide themselves. If you don't want to lose your unique avatar, you simply don't join signature campaigns. It's normal thing that advertiser set such rules to get biggest visibility.
I remember that 4 or 5 years ago many campaigns didn't required to wear avatar. But for these who wear avatar, they paid extra bonus.

I think it happened before I joined this forum, probably somewhere in 2015. IIRC, change of avatars was disabled because it was somehow related with hack of Bitcointalk.

I think OP should find their way to the Chipmixer campaign where users aren't required to use the avatar. BTW, I have yet to see what the avatar does for any campaign as they don't even contain any link to project's/company's site.

Neither does a billboard at the side of the road or on a TV advertisement, but they get the message/product out there and it's still very good brand awareness and I've always said that signatures and avatars here are just like digital billboards. Avatars might not be clickable but signatures are and they're usually for the same product so they go hand in hand, especially when it's the avatar that might first grab your attention. You could always use the Personal Text to direct users to click on the signature as well, if it'll fit, but most use that to link to the site or state a current offer or something.

I kind of agree with you, only with the point of trust not being disclosed to a new user at all. What I mean is, there is no mention of something like a trust rating to a random new visitor for the forum.

So if someone reads a post about something without logging in, the person most likely is never know that something like a trust system exists. To counter this, I suggest putting a text that says: "Trust Rating for this user can only be viewed when logged in. Please register or log in to view this user's trust rating", something like this:

As ranochigo said above, a warning is shown when users have flags, but I think theymos should put a warning up in the digital goods forum on all threads on new users or maybe up until Junior Member or Member or something as far too many people get scammed by users who don't have flags. Not a this user is a scammer, warning but maybe to just urge caution when buying from untrusted sellers and to consider an escrow etc. I think that would stop a lot of scams fro happening without DT members having to get involved tagging every one of these accounts. If someone has an autobuy link they're almost certainly a scammer and many of the others who are selling digital goods will just scam you if you're naïve enough to send money to them. There's too many of them to police effectively and they will often have multiple accounts bumping multiple times a day and reports probably come in on a daily basis from users complaining that they've been scammed, and a lot of the time it's for a couple hundred dollars as well.

The "official" reasoning never quite made sense to me. If someone is prone to dismissing or respecting opinions based on trust ratings then in the absence of such they would fall back to even flimsier attributes, like "Legendary" or number of posts. We're basically going out of our way to not offend red-trusted users because someone might see their red trust and think less of them. Boo hoo.

I don't think it's about offense, but it just not being relevant to discussion in certain boards.

I wouldn't really care how much trusted the person is if they answer my query on the Technical Support or Development sections. Having a red trust doesn't invalidate anyone of their opinions in the relevant sections where their trust ratings don't make sense.

Suppose you posted a query regarding cryptography and someone with a red trust gave you a very detailed accurate answer, would you not consider it because of their trust? If you would, then there's no point in showing trust ratings in the first place.

And that's why it isn't shown as it shouldn't be relevant to that discussion. Someone with red trust could give sage advice but people then choose to disregard it because they see the feedback and it does influence how you perceive a person. Personally I can take it or leave it but we've been over the pros and cons of this numerous times and theymos is unlikely to change it now. I don't think it was that long ago that someone brought this up and everyone chimed in with their reasonings but I can't find the thread.

Technically it's against the rules to create a new account once banned but ban evasion isn't really enforced here and nobody will know if you don't publicly link them together somehow. Maybe a signature ban can be issued instead though, but given your account is only a Junior Member it really wouldn't take long to get back there.

Also, please stop double posting as it won't help your case. You can edit your previous post with new info.
You mean a ban on signing this account - Vovchik90?

Not sure I understand you correctly, but sometimes signature bans are given instead of full and permanent account bans. That means that you can still post as normal but your signature is removed for a period of time instead. Given that you were a Junior Member you don't have much of one anyway but it'll mean you can still collect bounties as long as they don't require your signature.

Big surprise Liverpool lost and not unsurprisingly nobody backed them to do so. Most of the other games had expected results. Thought Real might have been a draw but I guess Arturo Vidal getting sent off quite early will have had an impact. Went for 1-0 on the ATL Madrid game and it was 0-0 so was pretty close there. Thought I did pretty well overall but still finished second from bottom this round. I guess not getting any correct scores is what did the damage. Didn't actually watch any of the games this round but will catch up on the highlights later today.

I've forgot to make my predictions for the first two early legs today,  Angry 2 points lost...
surprised by the bad performance from Liverpool, but there is an obvious roster problem in-house, contgrats to Atalanta

so far, still one of the first 5 on the leaderboard, not bad  Cool

when will we start sending the pool entry fees?

I mentioned a couple of days ago that it'll probably be next month.

A lot of people have been given pardons or signature bans for plagiarism so it's not a death sentence like it used to be. Signature bans are probably far more appropriate in most of the minor cases rather than a lifetime ban. I really wish theymos would sort the welcome message out urging users to read the rules as this would stop a lot of plagiarism. I think it would be a good idea maybe adding warnings when Newbies/Junior Members go to post highlighting a few of the main rules like do not plagiarise content, do not post referral links etc. There wouldn't be any excuses then as they are literally warned before posting.
