Logo / favicon looks good Smiley

Thanks, I am not sure I'm happy with the logo placement on the site atm..  Might do some rework after I'm done with the donators page.

Is TRC pool ok? We seems to have unusual long block, over 6hrs and still mining.

Everything looks OK, shares are being inserted in the db and no errors in the logs.. Just bad luck.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MultiCoin][Stratum+GW] multipool.in - Always mine the most profitable coin on: June 18, 2013, 05:18:14 PM

I added round_shares and block_shares (shares submitted since found block)

possible to set to "0" for no data vs false?

Also I think estimated_rewards 0 for ltc does not have quotes but all the others do, is that possible?

Looking into it, the estimated rewards should all be fixed.

(hopefully) Last minor change to the API structure!

http://multipool.in/api3.php

round_shares would be a nice add, I have been using the app all day and a lot of times things look stale as the payouts are waiting for confirms Smiley

The app looks great btw, thanks so much for creating it!  Smiley

just started joining in to mine FTC but would love the option to also mine LTC when the profitably is higher. Is there a way to set up your miner to swicth back and forth between just the two instead of setting it to mine all the coins with the highest profit in port 7777? Thanks for offering a great MultiPool!

That's pretty much what happens, other than switching to MNC when the difficulty drops.  We haven't spent any appreciable time on WDC or DGC for about a week now.

I could look into adding a "conservative" multiport that only switches between the "established" altcoins, if people want that.

As the server needs more hashes to get steady blocks. I will be jumping the LTC Bounty to 7 LTC for the first 3 blocks found. Thanks again for mining at our pool! Smiley

Good luck man.  It's hard getting an LTC pool off the ground these days.
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NovaCoin - Balthazar's PPC + scrypt fork, pool list on: June 18, 2013, 05:06:41 AM
Thanks for the help.

Pool is up at stratum+tcp://multipool.in:3344/

Please add to list!

Thanks.
Congratulations. Smiley

Do you use an appropriate version of stratum server? Note that you should use this:

https://github.com/CryptoManiac/stratum-mining
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201230.msg2234622#msg2234622

Otherwise you will get a waste of hashing power instead of blocks.  Roll Eyes

I'm using a variant of that, yes.

Have not been able to access the website, am I the only one?

The website is down right now, I am adding NVC.
Will it be included into the multiport?

Eventually.  I'd like for us to to find a block first and make sure all that's working properly (rewards etc), but it's going to be hard to do that at the current difficulty.

out of curiosity how would being on the multipool that picks the currency help unless you're selling your coins when you mine them? This would also be difficulty with it being PPNS right? What am I missing?

Coin profitability fluctuations are mostly due to difficulty changes.  Price fluctuation plays a small part.  Unless a coin crashes in value you should be able to sell it for close to what it was when we were mining it.  Most of our coins pay out after 20 confirms or less.

I'm planning to implement an "actual profitability" for last 24h but there are some challenges involved.

Ahh I supposed that makes sense in theory. I haven't done any practical testing to verify it, but thanks for your input! I'll look for the actual profit in the future. What are the challenges you're hitting?

Why does coinchoose and coinwarz disagree with your predictions of profit?

As far as the challenges, most is just deciding how I want to implement it, adding new columns to db, etc.

I dock WDC by 25% and DGC by 20% to account for stales and orphan blocks.

Other than that, they should be pretty close.

You're waiting for someone to see a paypal charge on their bank statement and report it.

That's the straight up truth!

I only had to get burned once back when BTC started trading Ebay early on.

I sold 25BTC and PayPal nailed my account almost two months later, which is well beyond their normal 30 day window.

All PayPal claims involving any crypto is an automatic win for the PayPal account holder.

~BCX~

PayPal & Bitcoin  =  matter & antimatter .

PayPal deleted accounts people that said the words Bitcoin on other sites i was told .  Robot searchable word , deleted the account .  EBAY PAYPAL.

I buy BTC with Paypal all the time, check out my bitmit auctions:

Would you consider implementing the BTC-E API into your site? That would allow us to directly or automatically sell our altcoins at the market value, or set our own prices and sell them at those prices as they are generated. Could be done if you implement a limit of 1 coin of whatever currency before your sell order goes live, and sell order can only be increased by 1 coin intervals.

That'd be a rather large project that I don't have time for at the moment..  If someone is willing to implement it in PHP I would consider adding it.

I'm about 75% done the back-end of a stand-alone auto-sell service. In Ruby. The only obstacle I'm facing is transaction fees. Transfer 1 brand-new LTC and it takes a 10% fee! I'd probably just set a 10 coin threshold, otherwise it'd take a ton of confirms to eliminate the transfer fee. I hope at the pool, the transaction fees for those taking low-threshold payouts is applied to them alone and not shared across the pool...

The fact the exchanges don't (from what I can see) offer a withdraw API (for the sold BTC) adds a bit extra risk to the equation too. I'd be giving out my local BTC, and manually refilling from the account.

Maybe the simplest would be to just let have users enter their API and private keys (of a new account only used for this), and they send their mining payouts directly to the exchange, and the service just executes the auto-sells. They can then withdraw their BTC at their leisure.

LTC fees are going to be reduced soon, once the new client is released.  Might want to wait until after that.

ooh thats nicer, are you going to move that to api.php or should i point to api3.php?

I was going to move it to api.php as long as everyone was OK with that.

Go for it! Android app is alive and out there now https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=appinventor.ai_david_morley.Multipool
Ill put up a new version using api.php, I pushed up using api3.php.

OK, api3 is still there.  I copied it to api.php.

I'm ok with that. There is still Pool Hashrates section, which is redundant with the same data under currencies.
Alternately it (pool hash rates and other pool related data) could be separated to an alternative API call for Pool Data only, so it could be accessed by other services without a need to create a user inside the system.

I don't think Alive is needed inside Workers table - if hash rate is 0, the worker is not alive.

The api returns pool data only, if there is no api key in the URL.

Specific coin data can also be returned by using https://multipool.in/api.php?curr=ltc (for example)

What is MaxTarget in the block reward calculation?
MaxTarget is the maximum possible target. It's 0x00000ffff0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 for proof-of-work.

P.S. If you want to get current block reward or current target, you can use getblocktemplate RPC call for this.

coinbasevalue?
Yes, coinbasevalue represents current block value in Satoshi units.

"coinbasevalue" : 10020000,

So the novacoin satoshi is 10e-6 NVC?  Rather than the 10e-8 of BTC/etc?
