701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 17, 2013, 08:52:14 PM
The website is currently under some kind of DoS attack, I'm working to mitigate it now.

Pools are not affected.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 17, 2013, 08:51:20 PM
It's gone up now to 151 hours, that's about 6 days  Shocked
I think it would be best to remove BTC.

At our current hashrate the average time to find a BTC block is about 10-15 days.  The payouts are proportional and all shares will be paid.

Our variance will decrease once we have more hashrate.  BTC is staying.

703  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Warning - PhenixEx.com - scammer tag requested on: October 17, 2013, 03:33:21 PM
I don't think they are gonna care at all if they get a scammer tag. They haven't logged in in almost two weeks. After the 22nd I'm going to post their real names and addresses though, so we can name and shame them as well as sue them.
Nolo and I are strongly considering starting a civil suite against both of them. Hell, I don't even mind spending money on it if it makes it harder for them to scam again.

They'll eventually come back.
704  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Warning - PhenixEx.com - Scammer tag requested on: October 16, 2013, 10:55:45 PM
I withdrawd most of my coins a week before after my CAPs deposit never showed but this is still what is owed so glad i removed the bulk of my btc/ltc,
what left is not much but thats really beside the point.  after site announce closure, withdrawls not longer work there and stay in pending state :\

BTC 0.00549919
CAP 14.73801400   + 100 CAP sent to my deposit address but never credited EmrpBBmbZKTdPFihP3QJhpdTa7Gs8DR9Va
FRK 0.1
WDC 99.0
CDC 34.925
LTC 0.0190000

Can we get a scammer tag for the involved parties please?  I believe we've given them plenty of time to refund users.

I'm not really sure what you mean, could you do a mockup (even with just empty boxes would help) of what you're thinking?

initial Mock-up:

excuse the rough copy/pasting

after i did it, i realized that really both "Your Stats" and "Pool Stats" could be one big table instead of two, just require proper headings.

thanks, yeah I have something very similar in mind, however a friend of mine who is a web designer is looking at the site right now so I'm going to hold off making any major changes until I get his recommendations.
706  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: October 16, 2013, 05:58:56 PM
Quote from: MtGox
[A]ny transaction fees levied by any bank intervening between the paying bank and the receiving bank (including the paying bank and the receiving bank) shall be deducted from the currencies transferred.
You don't have to.  You can withdraw by another method or wait for better times.  (Who wants USD anyway?  USD will be worthless in just two days.)

Which "other methods" allow a US customer to withdraw their USD from MtGox?

Cancel withdraw, withdraw BTC, sell @ other exchange for a loss.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 16, 2013, 05:26:41 PM
Is it odd that the only way to get a full list of your own mining and coin stats in one go is to look at the 'Pool Stats' page, rather than the 'My Stats' page.

It is, it's basically a placeholder for now.
708  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: October 15, 2013, 09:51:46 PM
Can you please update my listing in the first post with the following info:

Hostname: multipool.us (no longer multipool.in)
Fee: 1.5%
Payout Alg: Proportional
Share Difficulty: User-defined
ASIC-ready: Yes

thanks!

Hi flound1129,

Can you tell me a bit more about your modified proportional reward method? It might actually belong in "Prop variant" rather than straight "proportional".

I will PM you.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC] New pool www.multipool.in 1% PPLNS on: October 15, 2013, 09:48:53 PM
Even if you're not going to use the pool, I'd be interested in hearing what people think of the layout/site look etc..  I may change the CSS again soon.

i find myself hopping between account, my stats, and pool stats constantly.  i think account can stay as is, but i'd like to add the "value" and "cash out" columns to the stats.php.

also i'd like the the "my stats" and "pool stats" to be one page where the icons for the alt-coins are the first columns of each of the tables. -- this would be the my-stats graph links on the my-stats-table, and the pool-stats links on the pool-stats-table.

thank you for all your work and energy.

off subject, do you think the current coin should only change after a block is found, thus reducing the hopping?  it might save a 1% for end users and also stop from some shares being stuck in limbo indefinitely.

I'm not really sure what you mean, could you do a mockup (even with just empty boxes would help) of what you're thinking?
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sha256 Best mining options? on: October 15, 2013, 09:48:20 PM
Hello,

i see pools that chose automatically the best coins, but only for scrypt coins. Then there is cryptoswitcher and so on. But is it worth it at all for Asics? I see zetacoin appearing in coinchoose and in 24 hours the advantage it had against bitcoins is eaten up. So are there ways to earn more with sha256 mining than bitcoins + merged mining?

It only looks like its not worth to spend time on it since all coins better than bitcoin are beaten down fast, so that bitcoin + merge mining seems the most stable now. Am i wrong?

Thanks!
Sebastian

I just added an ASIC multiport on Multipool.us.

Cool... unfortunately too late for me but im sure you will get a lot users when this works and is known more. I see many that dont want the hassle to use cryptochanger and similar things. So your offer is ideal. You might post in such threads and ask them to test it... Smiley

Where are these threads?

Thats the threads that come to mind for me:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=146675.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152515.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172121.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248173.0

Its all about finding the most profitable coin or software that automatically choses the best coin. I would have taken an offer for sure that allows me to automatically mine the best coin without setting anything up except a pool login.

Well I don't really want to spam my pool in threads that are about software designed to do the same thing.  Coinchoose already links to us, maybe I should change my sig to mention the ASIC port though.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 15, 2013, 09:43:17 PM
Looks like CAP is potentially forked again.  Removing from multiport, mine at your own risk, blah blah blah.

Its still showing up as being mined in the multipool.. Please look into this

It was re-enabled after the dev assured me that we were on the right chain and that only people on the older version of the client were on the wrong chain.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sha256 Best mining options? on: October 15, 2013, 04:24:41 PM
Last I saw with mining profitability, BTC is still the best. So, mining BTC and then buying other CC's with BTC is the most cost effective way. Someone correct me if that has changed.
Of course, price says nothing for supporting another network and getting a CC stable and such.

Some of the alts go over BTC at times.  There is so much hashpower out there right now that coins with fast difficulty adjustments or low diff in general get quickly mined and go back to a higher diff.
713  Bitcoin / Pools / [200TH][Auto Profit-switching ASIC Pool] Multipool.us 10%+ Profit vs. BTC alone on: October 15, 2013, 03:59:38 PM
The ORIGINAL automatic profit-switching pool!   Cool
Now with ASIC support
Website: https://www.multipool.us/

  • Load Balancing - High capacity and redundant

LKY Server stats not showing at the moment.  ... and confirmations seem to be hung.

any chance we can see the timezone on the graphs?

It's GMT..   Fixing graphs to display the correct timezone is also on the todo.

LKY hot wallet daemon crashed last night shortly after updating to the latest version..  I just restarted it.

If you're using cgminer on scrypt Multiport, you may want to downgrade to below 3.5 to avoid this new "feature", and petition the developer for a workaround.  This is likely the source of the failover/reconnect issues people have been seeing when the pool switches coins.
