Status Update:

A quick update where we are at: As many others we are awaiting for final engineering / test results from both Bitmine and Cointerra. As soon as those final tests are done and both companies start with their production process we will have more exact details about delivery of the long awaited mining hardware. We are closely following up on the progress and visited Bitmine in Switzerland last week, all looks promising but still some engineering work to be done.

Meanwhile, we are also preparing our datacenter for future growth and expansion, which requires a lot of planning and upfront work as we want to be ready not only for the first batches of miners but also for future deployment (once we are mining things will start moving rapidly).

We know everyone is excited to get this project started and we can begin mining (the same goes for us)! It can be frustrating to wait for those final updates from manufacturers but we hope to receive some good news soon and get this started.

We'll keep you posted.
Still did not see any schedule on when to start hashing. In BTC world, time is extremely important. Hope we can have encouraging news soon.

It's fully related to the time when they will get the hardware that is not under their control, that's why it would not be wise to make any promises about the schedule... And that's why they currently try to make everything ready as possible in the data center, that hashing could start soon as the hardware arrives...

The time table doesn't have to be exact, but tentative. As nothing usually goes on schedule in life, most of the times. For example, maybe early as xx/xx/xx and latest possible xx/xx/xx time frame. Just like doing a business plan to get a loan and/or investors, you have to have a good time frame of realistic time table.

"New exchange, new thread about PETA-MINE project. With the closure of BTC-TC our project will continue its listing on Crypto:stocks (www.cryptostocks.com).
PETAMINE is now trading on www.havelockinvestments.com

CryptX offers an asset (its PETA-MINE) for shares in the profit of the PETA-MINE project.

CryptX will offer 100,000 non-dilutable PETA-MINE shares for a price of 0.065 BTC per share at IPO.

Each share represents 1 GH/s of hashing power. For every share that is sold, CryptX will invest in an additional 20% hashpower. All mining revenue from this additional 20% will go to public shareholders until the initial investment of 0.065 BTC/share is recovered in dividends.

Each share represents an initial hashrate of 2.4 GH/s of the total hash power of the PETA-MINE, and shareholders will receive a weekly dividend payment every Friday. The PETA-MINE will deploy in January with an initial maximum capacity of 240,000 GH/s.

Dividends will automatically appear in shareholders’ wallets every Friday around 15:00 GMT. Dividends will consist of 65% of PETA-MINE net revenue for the week. Net revenue is defined as the total sum of Bitcoins mined, transaction fees received and net revenue from hardware sold, minus electricity, hosting, and mine maintenance costs.

Every week, CryptX will reserve for reinvestment purposes a percentage of earned Bitcoins equal to 35% of net revenue. These investments will allow CryptX to produce and deploy additional hardware. Time of deployment for this additional hardware will be in the best interest of shareholders."

So, when will the first dividends occur for January or is it being delayed?

I'm in PST zone, so I don't know what time the server is at. All I know is I mined at your pool, then switch to 42 happyminer once yours went down.

i think you mined for 2-3 hours before our server 'gave up'; with the result that you wouldn't have had many coins on the pool given the fact that we had 5000%-6000% rounds at that time due to the fact that the coindaemon couldn't load the blockchain properly; resulting in most submits from us have been 'to late' to 'win' the block.

I mined between 9am to 12pm PST, before I couldn't access the pool. If I did find coins with my mining session, it would be greatly appreciated if you do find them and credit them. If not, I guess it's what ever, I found more coins solo mining the previous two days before this issue. I did re-register with the same email.

fucking this pool 42.pooljunkie.nl  i cant login i cant reset passowrd i lost my  cion

we got smashed yesterday; recovering the old server still. You need to reregister.

We pay out; why should i steal a tiny amount while in the big run the rewards are much better? If we scam; why would 500+ workers be mining at our pool for close to a day already again?

If they wouldn't get paid; why would the big rigs join our pool? They are in it for the money. If they didn't got theirs; they would leave faster than the multipools hop on and off the network...

We pay; we are finding blocks; we confirm; we are available right now to mine; transactions occur and everything works just fine.

If we re-register, do we have to re-register as the previous user? Also, if you some how find those lost coins on the old server database, will you credit it to the new account? Are you using the e-mail addresses to credit us back from the original registration? I did e-mail you via the support section on the pool, but never got a response back. I mined there for 3 hours before your switch to the new server.

Register under the previous user is possible; but under the same email is better for security purposes.

If you only started to mine 3 hours on the old server before switching to the new; you will have zero 42 in your wallet. We had bene under attack since 11am that morning getting smashed and having found the total of 10 blocks for the entire day yesterday. This means virtually no coins.

The new server runs smoothly and is secured. While the network is massive at the moment; we run steady at 500-600mhs and finding regular blocks when the multi's hop off and the diff is normal again...

I'm in PST zone, so I don't know what time the server is at. All I know is I mined at your pool, then switch to 42 happyminer once yours went down.

Why is this coin soooooo damn popular right now?
Yesterday I was posting on page 42, nobody had interest in this coin..
then hendo throw an idea it should go on cryptsy and less than day later it was there and price 100x up, literally...
WTF???
EAC was waiting to be on cryptsy like 3 weeks, this was there second day after some small request.. dont understand it and I think this coin is damn tooo over valued now..
Soon some one will make coin numero uno, only 1 coin will be minted.. hmm.. good. and price will be 50 000 btc per that..

by the way, its no offense.. just someone please explain me, how is possible that this coin gained 100x value in one day?
(sure, I am also bit angry I did not started to mine and did not buy actually Cheesy eventhough all was just about to happen.. from some reason did not Cheesy )

Cause I brought up the thread whole day long.
And told people first that they have to buy shares of min. 0.001 42coin.
Then it startet from 300btc up to 1900btc
Now i hope for support from the owners and the users who made a big Gain today  Smiley
PM me if you need infos

good luck

yesterday price was 30 btc.. I was negotiating about 40 - 60 btc, but it was quite high.. so how come today its 50x more??? Cheesy

There's "ONLY 42 COINS", this makes it extremely rare. BTC is 500000 Times more coins than 42. Rarity does influence price some what.

What makes me sick is that the pools all say oh we can handle 3gh and all this shit. Why blatently lie?

They want to get more people in and more profit from fees. Setting up a pool is probably more profitable than mining. At 3% pool fee a 1000mhash/s pool operator will make as much as someone mining on a 30mhash/s rig.

I've noticed many of the pool admins spamming these threads with their pool advertisements, telling how they have 32 cpu cores, ssd drives, etc, but from ip lookup it seems they're running off some cloud virtual private server operator that doesn't offer anything like they've described.

Stratum is really lightweight for the server, but the database is under a heavy load. The usual MPOS frontend stresses the DB quite a lot too when it's trying to show the statistics to all users. There's lots of room for improvement, like modifying or rewriting stratum+mpos to use for example Redis to store the fast moving data.

Even some of the multipools run from amazon or digitalocean and are doing just fine. Probably a couple of virtual machines with more expensive plans. These scam pool operators are not running what they advertise and are probably running on the cheapest vps and the specs are nowhere near what they post here.

Probably 70 to 80 percent of them are running the cheapest possible setup too. I totally agree, the database is the hardest thing to maintain, but should be the priority of these pools to make the backups and secure ones at that.

There's got to be a rating system and/or sorting process before these pools can setup, and officially accepted from the coin creators/devs. Some sort of seal of approval.

Totally, these pools make the most money per investment on these pools, even charging 2% is still a good profit plus the withdrawal fees too.

Was PoolJunkie hacked? My login information is not working.

You have to remake another account. I suggest just avoiding them completely until they completely fix what ever issues they have, hope they are not scamming.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42 | + | + super rare + | + | + | + only 42 coins to be mined + | + | + | on: January 13, 2014, 11:47:39 PM
Now I'm more incline to solo mine, high diff or not. I'd rather have all these pools that are having issues to shutdown for the day and stabilize their pools. There needs to be some kind of filtering of pools before they can start up. Maybe a pool rating system here too, to avoid careless pool operators and/or scamming pool operators.

happyminers down

this is bullshit.

Definitely not making me a happyminer, they should change their name to retardedpool42.

The irony is, I got more mining solo (before the diff went over 10) then these unstable and possibly shaddy pools. I'll give these pools the benefit of the doubt since they can be under DDoS and other issues, but it is weird not to have a back up of the database just in case.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42 | + | + super rare + | + | + | + only 42 coins to be mined + | + | + | on: January 13, 2014, 10:59:57 PM
We have moved to a new faster server. (16 cpu, 32 gb ram) 42.happyminers.net

Please connect to new stratum server: stratum+tcp://s3.happyminers.net:4242

Miners seem to start at 42.pooljunkie again.... Pls watch out, ALL your coins are GONE.
My coins are all gone!

Mine are gone as well, and so far no word from pool owner.

So, I mined 3 hours on each pool for nothing. That's 6 hours of wasted electricity. You would think that these pool operators would have a backup server just in case, really irresponsible. Everything should always have a back up. So, all those mined 42's for nothing, thanks for nothing. I'm really tempted just to solo mine now, since this is an ongoing issue. I know it's not that simple to run a pool some times with all the attacks and diff changes, also possible forks. But care and responsibility should be utmost priority, even before starting a new pool.

Isn't http://newchg.com a exchange, not a pool?

Also, OpenEX is trading 42: https://openex.pw/index.php?page=trade&market=78 . But I don't know how reliable and/or trust worthy they are. Their site has open source of their code.

OpenEx sell orders are confusing me:

An example of a current sell order:

Price  (in btc or 42?)
89.00000000

Quantity  (of 42?)
0.00000099

Total  (42 qty available to sell?)
0.00008811

Does not make sense, can someone translate for me?

The exchange is here:
https://openex.pw/index.php?page=trade&market=78

Much obliged,
Stew

The price is in BTC, quantity is in 42 and the total is the total of BTC times quantity of 42. The setup is kind of confusing, nothing like Cryptsy or another established exchange. OpenEX needs to fix their coding on the site, some alignment issues on there as far as the graphical layout. I registered an account there, but haven't traded yet until I get more positive feed about them.

Transactions to the wallet from a pool is fast, the network is zooming on 42....LOL

Oh OK,  so what I am really seeing here is a sell order for 0.00000099 42c for 0.00008811 btc... right?

thanks!
Stew

OpenEX is trading 42 for 26 BTC/42

Is that for one coin or the whole lot as it might take a while for all the 42 coins to be made.

Good price if it is just one coin. Smiley

No it's not a good price. 26 BTC / 42C would mean i mined almost 1 whole day for 30 cents.

Prices are kind of wacky there, but it's probably because they just started.

For example, someone wants to buy XPM for 0.00042 BTC each...LOL....That's 1/10th of the value compared to other exchanges...

For one coin.

I don't know if OpenEX is that trustworthy yet, it just recently started. But the source code for the site is open source, guess that's a good start to gain some trust.

can you tell me what pool I can use to do that
one more thing what is the miner for scrypt-jane?

Your late in mining CPR. It was profitable with GPU mining for a month. Now, cpu mining is more profitable with it. You can try, but you'll find out fast it's not profitable to GPU mine now.

Scrypt Jane is a CPU coin that can be initially mined with a custom GPU miner, but for a limited time will the N-factor is low. Now the N-factor is high now, that only CPU mining is more profitable the GPU mining.
