1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Lighting ‘Torch’ Reignites, Blazes Through 38 Countries in 3 Days on: January 23, 2020, 05:56:48 AM
There's another project DigiPigLet journey followed by this project (Or may be there was another of the kind) I guess as they mentioned- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183158.0
DigiPigLet wasn't created with LN, rather with on chain BTC which was another interesting approach. In DigiPigLet, the fund raised it used to donate at Venezuelan Charity Organization.

I hope someone tags Peter and have him create a LN wallet
He will fund a channel & later somehow lost the access and say "I knew that bitcoin is not good."  Cheesy
1722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accidentally sent btc to bsv address please help me on: January 23, 2020, 05:40:32 AM
abra wallet support must give the private key of my bsv wallet address?
Exactly. If you have the private key, you can get the access of your BTC easily with Electrum through importing the private key.

They are indeed compatible. Remove the first word 'at' from the 13 word phrase and enter the remaining 12 words
Missed that. That's why I was confused because I guess the word at is not seed word I have seen ever on Electrum.
1723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest method receive Neteller Unknown people on: January 22, 2020, 05:24:39 PM
Use currency exchange board. Always try to deal with people who have good feedback. Don't forget to check their feedback. Better you go with escrow if you are having a big exchange. Don't trust any newbie, of course.
I don't know if netteler can be charged back, if possible, make sure you are dealing with someone who have trading records of netteler.
Be aware of impersonator if you are going to communicate in other channel/medium.
1724  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Server exception in console on: January 22, 2020, 04:43:58 PM
that command (exec) is very dangerous and your computer maybe already infected by malware.
Check what HCP said, the command was a wrong one & wasn't executed as scam attempt, OP luckily had the chance of not being affected due to that reason.

1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tutorial] How to create Lightning Network Channel (Testnet BTC) on: January 22, 2020, 02:46:40 PM
Updated on the OP.

An idea for you, OP, since the thread is created on the Beginner & Help section of the forum you should add a small description of what the Lightning Network is, why it is so important, something like a mini-FAQ(pun intended).
We already have this one- An Overview of Lightning Network
Moreover, I have shared article written by BitCryptex, you can check out my article shared above to get most of the basic information about LN. If you have any particular question, feel free to ask.

Anyway, I'll bookmark the thread and translate it in Romanian language when I have time.
Let me know when you are done. I will gladly update the OP.
1727  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: price notification on: January 22, 2020, 02:29:36 PM
You have to download the Coinbase app to get notification.
Follow the guide-
1. Open your coinbase app, click on notification logo (It's beside the text "Welcome to coinbase")
2. Click on the setting logo. (At right, beside the text "Notification")
3. Click on Custom Price Alerts

Now set the custom price range to get the price notification.
1728  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin pegged token? on: January 22, 2020, 02:18:53 PM
Maybe this could create an alternative for those making small transactions quicker.
How much quick transaction you are looking for? You must have heard about Lightning Network. It's possible to send/receive BTC with LN within seconds. The fee is very low, transaction is very faster, it has accepatance (a currency can be created by anyone but as long as it has no acceptance, it can't be called as currency. PS- can't remember the author of this quote).
With LN, it's possible to pay couple of satoshi, well, let's get back to real life. You can pay $1 for $0.00001 or less fee, even within seconds. I guess we don't need more faster transactions, of course, we don't need bitcoin pegged coin.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 02:01:55 PM
The very first mass use of bitcoin was probably on Silk Road, a drug dealing marketplace. People used BTC there because of its technology; pseudonymous nature of bitcoin. It has created a lot of attention which later have turned the price higher and higher; got more attention.
Now BTC is popular for both. We have a lot of places to spend BTC. It's technology is developing consistently.
1730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accidentally sent btc to bsv address please help me on: January 22, 2020, 01:15:06 PM
Abra wallet's seed phrase isn't compatible with Electrum. I have tried creating a seed and import it into Electrum. Doesn't work.
There's no option to get private key of addresses as well.
I can't see any way of recovering the fund other than contacting with the support.
1731  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.3.8 is not opening on Windows 10 on: January 21, 2020, 03:52:18 PM
Probably off topic-
Can you confirm you are using the authenticate Electrum wallet? If you have followed what BitCryptex said and still no luck, then I guess probably your wallet source code is not correct. Have you updated your wallet recently? If so, from where?
1732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forgot brain wallet phrase sequence, anything simple I can use? on: January 21, 2020, 02:19:57 PM
On a brainwallet website.  Tried two different of them and they were both the same.  This was some time ago, so I don't have links to the sites.  A few will pop up if you check Google though.
First of all, you must have knowledge on what PERMUTATION is. You said you have 6 words. If you have used all these words, the possible count is 720. If you have no idea about bruteforce, still it's possible to get the possible phrase with manual try. You can create a spreadsheet and list all the possible count. But that's too much time consuming. A script can make it far easier.
On the other hand, if you have used 5 out of 6 words, you still require 720 tries.
If you have used 4 out of 6, you require 360 tries.

I guess you must have known the first word or second. In that case, a manual try is easier too.
But still, bruteforce can get you all these within couple of minutes.

Don't share your phrase words with anyone else.
1733  Local / India / Re: Looking for a best Indian crypto media on: January 20, 2020, 04:15:04 PM
I can't remember any good resource of non-English (Hindi or Indian local) website. Most of the local sites are full of spam.
Coincrunch isn't a Non-English media channel. All of their contents are in English. Moreover, I am having worst time accessing the contents. I can only visit the Homepage. The other page/categories are not accessible.
I guess their server is offline for a while.

1735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do we calculate the correct transaction fee to send? on: January 18, 2020, 05:34:23 PM
Perfect! It means most of bitcoin transactions have been made in America and European continents and locals there tend to use higher fees (likely), whilst the Asia and Australia continents tend to make less numbers of transactions as well as they likely are ready to move their coins with lower fees.
It's not because some people pays higher fees or some pays lower. If someone needs faster confirmation, they are likley to pay higher fee. Since we have limited space on block (4MB per block now), if there are a lot of transaction pending, you are likely to pay the maximum fee for faster confirmation if you are in hurry because only limited number of transactions will get place in the block (~4MB). That's how fee increase and decrease. No one is likely to pay higher fee unless they need to.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to regain access to BTC sent to BSV address on: January 17, 2020, 05:57:03 PM
Did you change the derivation paths? Again, it seems to be working for me.
Yes I did.
Have you checked BIP39 while restoring? There's option to below the seed box. I didn't try myself but I have found a tutorial, it's working. Don't know what's wrong with you.
Link- https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoincashSV/comments/aiwrqw/how_to_restore_handcash_and_centbee_wallets_with/

In addition, make sure you are using the official electrum wallet downloaded from- electrum.org
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to regain access to BTC sent to BSV address on: January 17, 2020, 05:15:10 PM
How to export private key? I have only 12 words for recovery.
Have you imported the seed into ElecteumSV? If so, you can select the receiving address and click right button of your mouse. You will get option for private key.
I guess there's no way of getting private key from Handcash app, I'm not sure though.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to regain access to BTC sent to BSV address on: January 17, 2020, 05:06:06 PM
Download electrum from https://electrum.org/#download and then verify the signature before installing it. Use restore wallet and use those seed to have the BTC wallet for the same seed. You will have access of the BTC .

If I am not too wrong then his 12 words seed will work too to restore the full wallet not just the single wallet address. @AdolfinWolf
Handcash seed isn't compatible with Electrum. I have generated seed key for Handcash and tried to import it in Electrum but it doesn't let me in.
There's only way to get the BTC is importing the private key as above suggested.
To get the private key, you can probably get it from Handcash, if not, you can import the seed into ElectrumSV and get the private key.

I too think this thread must be posted in Marketplace.
1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie help - selling physical goods for crypto on: January 15, 2020, 07:00:33 AM
Check the board for trading Goods- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

The process is simple. You can display/offer your service in that board. If someone is interested, you can sell your works for Bitcoin here. Since you are newbie, no one will go first of course. You either have to go first if the other party is trusted enough or the best is- using escrow. Escrow will hold the BTC; upon receiving the ordered items, buyer will release the escrow fund.
List of recommended escrow- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
Always try to use forum PM system, otherwise, you may end up being scammed by impersonator if you use other channel for communication.
