1721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 13, 2023, 02:28:57 PM
Planning is crucial when it comes to finances, and if you believe that investing every month won't have an impact on you, I advise you to do so. You'll know you have a certain amount of money set aside for investments, and over time, you'll earn a profit. If investing every month presents a challenge, you can consider investing every two months. The choice is ultimately up to you, and it will depend on how much money you make from your working place but sincerely buying and storing is not a bad idea at all.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 13, 2023, 02:02:15 PM
Aside from the degree of illiteracy, some people don't only believe in Bitcoin and find it difficult to distinguish it from ponzi schemes. When I was trying to explain the value of Bitcoin and the risks associated with investing in it to an engineer I once met, all he said was that he did not believe in internet money and preferred the bank and fiat. This made me realize that everyone is free to have their own opinions and that no one can be forced to invest. I believe it should be a personal choice made that yes, today I do want to invest in Bitcoin. for now I feel is going to be difficult for everyone to invest in Bitcoin but I believe with time and unless countries that have made it a legal tender.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: April 13, 2023, 01:02:01 PM
Elon Musk is a businessman and will make decisions that are in the best interests of his company. I believe Elon is very interested in cryptocurrencies and has stated on several occasions that he wishes he had done so earlier. Elon is also very influential in the cryptocurrency community, on one occasion, he joked about giving his mother a Dodge coin, and that joke had a significant positive impact on the market. Many people also have faith in Him and follow His every word. Investing statements should be made carefully, and all of this might be a corporate tactic to help Tesla or SpaceX all is part of the business.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Federal government and banks are threats... on: April 13, 2023, 12:23:54 PM
When it comes to the federal government and banks, a threat has existed for a while. They have tried several methods to shut down Bitcoin, but it has been an impossible task to get control over it. I also recall that, some years ago, the government in my region tried the same policy by instructing banks to forbid any accounts related to cryptocurrencies, and police began to harass those who were involved in it. Despite all of this, cryptocurrency is still growing steadily.

Currently, my region has some of the largest Bitcoin investors, and occasionally I get the impression that the majority of these government leaders also own Bitcoin. To this day, I still don't understand why they want to outlaw Bitcoin.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 12, 2023, 10:01:12 PM
Chelsea versus Real Madrid I can't help but laugh When Real Madrid's star player, Karim Benzema, was present and fully prepared, not even the slightest chance was given to Chelsea. Benzema was the first to score under 27 minutes with Vinicius Junior given out two assists for the goals scored, and from the shots on target, Real Madrid had 9 and Chelsea had only three. From the starting  of the game, I already knew that it was going to be a lost game for Chelsea. watching  the game seeing the expression on the faces of Chelsea  fans was just funny  after the second goal.
1726  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Food dragging at events on: April 12, 2023, 09:30:36 PM
I've been to events where I've seen people lining up for food and always trying to get extras, to some extent, I found it embarrassing, but to others, it was a matter of survival, the majority of people find it difficult to feed themselves, and to others, it was an act of greed. I once went to a funeral where a woman screamed with tears streaming down her face, the next thing I knew, I saw the woman lining up for food, I was shocked and speechless it was very funny  currently am not longer surprised by any act.
1727  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you chose bitcoin? on: April 12, 2023, 09:07:19 PM
First and foremost, bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme. It was created with the good intention of serving as an asset and, in some cases, legal tender. Additionally, it was the first cryptocurrency in existence and has earned a great deal of trust. As you mentioned, bitcoin had nothing to do with finance in 2009, but as time has passed, it has gained more traction than other cryptocurrencies. I trust bitcoin more than other cryptocurrencies because of the widespread awareness it has received, even in this forum. i trust bitcoin compare to altcoins which might not really survive in bear market like what happened  to FTX.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: April 12, 2023, 08:44:04 PM
If you really want to keep the bond between you and a member of your family, money should not come into the picture. Even though money is only a piece of paper, it has a lot of influence and when you talk about trust, it is earned. Aside from family, in the crypto world, trust is the cornerstone of everything. If you notice a red flag in a member of your family, I believe you can keep the relationship intact. I have issue trusting  people as for me it must be earned.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bear Market on: April 12, 2023, 07:45:22 PM
As there are two movements in the market, bear and bull, and everyone wants bull, bear market must exist in order to create a balance. Bear market also comes with many benefits, including time to accumulate and the ability to learn from the market. I think it's time to conduct extensive research and learn more about risk management because most people fall prey to frauds with the hope of seeing their assets double, but with thorough research, you can always determine what investments are wise or foolish, and the best advice is to avoid futures.
1730  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: April 11, 2023, 08:34:43 PM
Many people are surviving without government jobs, but while government jobs can not be compared to the private sector, where you can be fired at any time and government jobs enjoy lots of freedom, it is now even harder to get government jobs because, in my region, the majority of young people are finding it difficult to get and are pursuing programming(tech) and entrepreneurship. The main problem now is that there has not been any increase in the pay for government officials, and with inflation,  the money is not even enough to keep up with their daily needs. and the only government officials enjoying government jobs are politicians.
1731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: April 11, 2023, 08:05:33 PM
We learn new things when we fail. We learn nothing if we don't fail.  I don't believe, "You Learn More from Losses than from Wins" because that's incorrect. One can learn both ways. In fact, I learnt more from my wins than I did from losses. You talked about losses like anyone wants to have them and then readjust from such. If there's anything losses will even do to beginners, it's to scare and discourage while introducing them to reality.
When one is permanently on the winning side, he has nothing to worry about, but when one fails, he will have thousand questions that needs an answer as to why he failed, and from this he learns. But in the case of quitting after failing, I think it will depends on mindset. It is always helpful to try a different strategy. A newbie who has been briefed on what trading is all about will not quit after losing. Of course trading involves loses but the better side of loses is figuring out a new way of approach. No matter how productive and consistent a strategy is, No matter how long the winning streak a strategy brings, it will someday fail in a long run. And when ever it fails,  we learn.
Everyone wants to succeed psychologically, but nobody wants to fail. After all, experience is the best teacher, so we sometimes learn from our mistakes. I also noticed that strategy is crucial, and when talking about wins, it depends on what area of life the speaker is referring to. However, failure strengthens you in all areas of life. Most of the most successful guys, including Elon Musk and others, have made mistakes along the way, but they were able to learn from them and are today the greatest.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 11, 2023, 05:30:43 PM
The champions league continues today with the Big Dogs Manchester City taking on Bayern Munich. It will be an entertaining match, and I have a strong hunch that it may end in a draw because both teams are strong and have plenty of champions league experience. Manchester City will win in the worst-case scenario, and as the league gets tougher, the champions league winner will ultimately come as a surprise to everyone. let's see how the match will end today.
1733  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: April 11, 2023, 03:06:21 PM

To make a living, we must work. In uncertain days like now facing the global economic downturn, a stable job with high income becomes a scarcity. A side job or business seems like more necessary than ever, which can minimize the risks of losing your current job, ending up pennyless. However, a side job/business also takes time and efforts and can never be attained whenever we need it. What did you do or will you do in order to ensure your finanical stability despite all unfavorable circumstances ?
I don't think there is any way to make money if we do not work or own a business, the challenge of getting a high paid job is getting more difficult as stated, and even the government is finding it difficult to create more jobs for people, and one thing has learned recently is don't relent in just one job you can get a job and also have a business alongside, this can improve your finance rather relying on just one source of income which is a very dangerous now that inflation is everywhere with a high standard of living and this is currently going on globally.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving out to promote Bitcoin on: April 11, 2023, 02:48:18 PM
You took a brave step to have given them a few bucks, and I love your strategy of awareness, and the interesting part was the practical aspect that you have to send it to their individual wallets so they can learn faster and their interest in Bitcoin will increase, at least you thought them from the basics and I hope you thought them how to keep their private key safe and not share and also the risk of investing in bitcoin,  with this I am totally impressed with the step.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 10, 2023, 04:44:34 PM
Arsenal are approaching every game like a final, they look very determined to win the league title this season and are giving everything they have got. Sustaining and staying consistent has not been easy but some how Arteta has managed to keep the spirit lively in the dressing room and training sections and I think that should play a major role in determining the outcome of the season.
Everyone was obviously shocked by Arsenal's tenacity, it has been a while since they provided their fans with this kind of entertainment. Since then, Arsenal's performance has improved to the point where they have been a treat for Manchester City. As a result, my prediction that Arsenal will win the Premier League is still very strong. The most shocking game was Crystal Palace vs. Leeds, it wasn't just a regular soccer match but ended 5:0 Such attacks from Crystal Palace were not what I had anticipated.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: April 10, 2023, 02:53:17 PM
Nobody will ever have the chance to own a home that they will not be pleased with it, because it is a valuable asset and in my opinion, an investment that is likely to grow in value in future, and once you own a home, you will have a wonderful chance. Some people may opt to rent a home because they cannot afford to buy one or build Due to the high cost of housing in my nation, I would prefer to own a home over continuing to pay rent. I believe that getting a home would be preferable to continuing to pay that rent because if I may continuing paying rents, I may later discovered that those rents payments would have get a house.

Rental housing will be convenient for those who often move, or perhaps have not yet decided where they want to live. Many different situations can force people to rent a house, so it is convenient for someone to buy a house, and for someone it will be more convenient to rent it during this period. Probably everyone would like to have their own house, which is why many settle for mortgages that they pay for twenty or thirty years.

Rental housing has been in demand at all times, and most likely it will be so, for some, this is an unnecessary expense, and for some, a forced necessity.

Yes, aside from those who really can't afford to buy their own house, renting is the only option for people who are still undecided where to stay and how they wanted to live their life for good.

I mean, if you are not permanent yet and you are planning either to go outside your country or
you are planning to move from one city to another. Renting is the only option you have while
trying to decide.
It is universally believed that, after food, shelter is the second most crucial human necessity. Housing in all its forms encompasses together all social services and utilities that go into creating a livable community or neighborhood, therefore this goes beyond only providing a place to sleep. Because housing is a crucial and vital part of overall development processes in both rural and urban areas of Nigeria, efficient home design continues to grow increasingly important.

Everybody needs a roof over their heads, making shelter one of life's most essential necessities. But, not everyone can afford a home, leaving them with little choice but to rent one. so to me, rent is not a waste of money at all.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 10, 2023, 02:22:13 PM
Arsenal seems to be favourite to win the 2022/2023 Premier League season but Manchester City is still very much in it and I think the winner would be either of the teams but being a Gunner, I just hope we win!

Arsenal lost 2 points at Anfield but they may have also lost the title. If I'm not mistaken, Manchester City will be champions if they win all their remaining games. Unfortunately, Arsenal lost full control of the game to Liverpool in the second half of the match and lost points in an important match. Anyway, this match was one of the best matches I've watched recently. Goal positions in the last minutes of this match are not experienced even in the 90 minutes of most matches.
Arsenal's draw against Liverpool yesterday really worried Arsenal's fans, because Arsenal failed to maintain the 2 goal advantage they managed to score before the first half ended. there are 8 games to go and if arsenal wants to be champion they have to win in all the next games and it will take a tough fight for arsenal (matchday 33 between man city vs arsenal will determine who wins the EPL this season).
It was unexpected because Liverpool have not been stable in their games, it was expected arsenal as one of the best team in the season will easily win the game but it was opposite of everything.  I prefer arsenal having one point from the game than losing to Liverpool because it would have caused alot from winning their upcoming match.
The truth is that you really can't predict football sometimes it was obvious that Arsenal had the advantage to beat Liverpool having Gabriel Jesus and the rest of the team and with my favorite player SAKA present was not much of an impact during the game, yesterdays game was not in arsenals favor at all it would have been 3:2 if not for the penalty that salah missed still hoping that arsenal will make up after the drawn game in there next match, that's why I always hope that why I always say that arsenal can be rusty at times small break and they start losing matches.
1738  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: April 10, 2023, 01:54:12 PM
The world is already embracing technology in all spheres, including health, agriculture, finance, transportation, and many others. Now, when it comes to AI and automation, most machine designs only require operators to send commands and the task will be completed and most importantly, it reduces the costs of employing people but even at that where do we expect these individuals to feed so it has its own disadvantage, many will be losing their jobs. the best thing for young people now is to go into tech. and since it's good but the impact is severe on the people.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 10, 2023, 01:17:53 PM
Since you already understand how Bitcoin works as an asset that you must hold for a long time to make money from, you should set a goal for how much you want to invest in it. You can start with a small amount and then build up until you reach your goal. You should also take into account the risk involved in investing in Bitcoin.

Additionally, be cautious not to entrust your Bitcoin to any exchange. Always practice the habit of storing your Bitcoin in your wallet, with the popular saying, not your keys not your coin. Your Bitcoin is safer when it is in your possession when the keys are in your possession. and invest wisely.
1740  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Is Yahoo(Street)the last hope of a common man? on: April 09, 2023, 08:40:25 PM
The majority of young boys now believe that engaging in fraud is the way to go, which is very disappointing, as opposed to learning a skill. The one that surprised me was a 16-year-old who was looking for money and I was curious as to what a boy at that age wanted to do with a Benz because, on a typical day, he should be in school. Instead, he was looking for money to purchase a Benz, which I found to be very amusing. Some things need to be corrected before it gets out of hand, and even the government is not taking them lightly.
