1721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 02, 2023, 05:17:07 PM
Holding, in my opinion, would be the best option, but people are always looking to trade and make a quick profit. When you warn, particularly about futures, people often ignore your warnings. I am aware of one person who made quite a profit from spot trading I wonder what drew her attention to futures, where lo and behold, a sizable amount was liquidated. If trading is what you want to do, remove greed from your mind, as for me personally I always accumulate and hold.

Even though Tottenham Hotspur had Harry Kane and son it was not enough for yesterday's game, son tried to score but all attempts were defended, and they were in a fifth position nobody was expecting them to be defeated by Aston villa but from what I watched Tottenham is still warming up, Aston villa winning with two goals and a record of 21 points. However, everyone seems disappointed with Tottenham Hotspur's performance after losing against Aston villa.
1723  Economy / Economics / Re: Every passing year seems progressively worse on: January 02, 2023, 02:27:03 PM
I hope this year should be more pleasant because the last few years have been difficult, starting from 2020 actually down to 2021, with the pandemic taking many lives and upsetting the economies of nations, but most importantly lives in every situation life should be taken into consideration looking at the war between Russia and Ukraine affect not only the citizen but also the world global market, inflation hitting every were, and oil becoming expensive things is just happening.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 01, 2023, 10:37:19 PM
Bad days for Chelsea and Totthenem as they lost against teams in decline, now they are in decline themselves. Nottingam forest scored on the first corner kick. He made his fans feel this goal with a few positions before the corner kick. I'd say they played a smart game. They also had an explosive shot. As Chelsea looked for the second goal, they conceded. Chelsea's next rival City looks like they don't have a chance in this match. In the last match, though, they drew against City. It's as if the teams couldn't fully adapt on the return of the World Cup.
With the way Chelsea are playing now, they have no chance against Man City in their next match... We'll have to see how Arsenal play against Newcastle... If Arsenal fail to beat Newcastle, who incidentally have only lost one game this season, as did Arsenal, Man City will be hugely motivated to pick up 3 points against Chelsea...

The fact that you think Arsenal will lose to Newcastle might serve as motivation for Man City, that Chelsea doesn't stand a chance against Man City, that Arsenal will put in more effort than you think, that it won't be surprising if the game ends in a draw, and even that Chelsea might play seriously if they face Man City.
1725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading With Borrowed Funds!!! on: January 01, 2023, 09:41:21 PM
Borrowing money to invest in bitcoin is not recommended because it is a risky investment that might cost you everything. Bitcoin is meant to be a long-term investment. I think you should think twice before doing so since you cannot forecast the price of bitcoin; it is usually preferable to utilize an investment fund that is set apart specifically for that purpose so that you can hold it easily. and don't end up selling everything at loss just to pay back a loan.
1726  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Happy new year Bitcointalk Naija on: January 01, 2023, 09:17:57 PM

1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 01, 2023, 09:05:25 PM
The fact that Chelsea drew against Nottingham Forest when everyone expected Chelsea to easily defeat them and Sterling scored the lone goal for Chelsea is just very disappointing. Arsenal has 43 points, leading Man City by about seven points, which is actually a positive sign that Arsenal is moving gradually up the table. but as it is the premier league is becoming more interesting.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 01, 2023, 03:13:12 PM
The fact that you need to use the money to make money, and the poor always don't believe in investing because they are always comfortable with what they have, has been a problem even when telling people to invest in bitcoin they give excuses and at the end of the day they go investing in altcoins, is that the mindset is the key to every physical manifestation, even before attaining success it must start from the mind.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 31, 2022, 04:47:47 PM
I was confident in Liverpool's victory yesterday, knowing that Leicester had no chance of winning the match, which ended 2:1. Despite their best efforts, Leicester was unable to defeat a team like Liverpool, with W. Faes scoring two own goals for Liverpool, Dewsbury scoring a noteworthy goal for Leicester, and even Sallah trying yesterday but failing to score, I feel even Liverpool is good they got lucky with yesterdays game. Manchester also defeated Wolverhampton with Rashford scoring the game's only goal.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 02:13:52 PM
Leicester is playing against Liverpool, and given how Liverpool has been performing since the game resumed, I doubt Leicester will be able to win. Since the return of the premier league, it appears that matches are now easily anticipated. West Ham vs. Brentford is another match that I will choose West Ham straight win based on the odds supplied by Leicester of roughly 11 odd.
1731  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: December 30, 2022, 01:41:21 PM
I don't think I will use my coin to pay for anything due to the current situation and to me is more of an investment. I'm sure there are other payment methods like fiat, so selling off puts me at a disadvantage. When it comes to spending, it requires discipline and planning, and I don't see a reason why you will want to spend my investment money, is actually a thing to consider.

1733  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 29, 2022, 07:51:36 PM
As you said, the poor are difficult to convince, so the best you can do is offer advice. If they reject the choice, the consequences are their responsibility to bear is a free world with a free choice. The poor always have excuses, especially when it comes to investing. They believe it is unimportant to do so, which is actually a dangerous way to think. They will always learn the hard way.
1734  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto-friendly politicians in government. on: December 29, 2022, 07:31:52 PM
Sitting outside enjoying the early morning sunshine I was just contemplating on certain national issues as it affect the nation entirely, and then a divergence to the Nigerian economy and the unfriendly nature of the Nigerian financial policies to cryptocurrency activities.

Going by this I recounted that few days  from now as we sail into the year 2023 the nation looks forward to her general elections to elect new leaders into governmental positions who will then makes decisions on our behalf as it affects we the citizens in every spheres. Listening to the manifestos of each of the politicians, from those contesting for the position of the President, Senate/Rep members, down to governor's, there was no single politician's manifesto that discussed about intentions of putting up policies that would make for an enabling environment for  digital currency like cryptocurrencies to operate without inimical restrictions or ban.

It should suffice us to know that it is through a time as this that youths involved in cryptocurrency operations can have the possibility of  opportunity to enjoy an economic/political environment that is crypto-friendly in correspondence to support and electing of politicians that have a large interest for cryptocurrency utilization, in addition to other national developmental issues bothering the nation. For the Feb, 2023 general elections are just by the corner which might seem too short in time that we can't achieve much in this project, but within the four years intervals that would come by for in preparation to another general elections it would be pertinent and of immense necessity that youths push to the frontline for support for politicians with crypto-friendly programmes, initiatives and policies in their manifesto. This I believe to be one strategy amongst many others that we can use to achieving a crypto business friendly government as we have so desired.

Your inputs to this idea be it critique or support would appreciated!
I hope the upcoming administration actually supports us in the cryptocurrency space because the last few years have not been favorable due to the idiotic policies of the legislators, as evidenced by the fact that in the past, police harassed people who were using cryptocurrency simply because CBN had banned it. but trying to clarify another thing is that most of this yahoo boiz always claims they are into bitcoin, so EFCC always failed to differentiate between the two, sincerely I hope the next government will favor us all.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 03:46:52 AM
Yesterday, I was very certain that Man City Wine would never defeat Leeds. Having Haaland in the game will give Manchester City one more advantage over Leeds. People often fail to realize that Manchester City has a wealth of talented athletes who consistently perform admirably. Rodri scored the opening goal for City, and despite the fact that I am not a supporter of Man City, I still have my favorite teams. Haaland scored twice, and Grealish gave Haaland two assists.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 05:27:47 PM
And this yet another game between man city and Leeds and I don’t think Leeds stand a chance against man city, is just another bonus for man city to count another point, more goals coming from man city tonight and Haaland didn’t go  for World Cup so I believe that his going to play and he will score as one of the key plays in mancity the goal machine.
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin purchase for the dip. on: December 28, 2022, 04:07:45 PM
It's an excellent place to start, and you can build up gradually until you reach your goal. When the moment is right, you'll start reaping the rewards of your investment, so the best advice is to avoid taking out loans for money you don't need and to hang onto your assets no matter what. Don't sell them. Good to you on the business of investment.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 03:17:57 PM
All the clubs perform well after a long break from World Cup and them resuming they are performing well not every one that went for the World Cup, and watching from  what Man U, Chelsea and arsenal they played very well and arsenal still topping the table, since the games is just resuming let’s see how it goes if even arsenal will continue topping the table.

1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of accepting bitcoin in business on: December 28, 2022, 11:57:06 AM
The fact that Nigerians are accepting bitcoin payments in their businesses is positive. But I want to know whether Nigeria doesn't have a long-term bitcoin investing strategy. Because the majority of the forum posts that I have read so far describe how customers paid using bitcoin.

When a Nigerian citizen is fully aware of the potential benefits of hodling, it will be unusual to see him make a payment in bitcoin. In spite of everything, he would rather pay in fiat, not with bitcoin

I feel those accepting bitcoin do it to share knowledge and spread the word most people will be curious once they see that some business owners are accepting it, good one and op please tell your customers to learn to hold rather than selling it. Is a filthy filthy thing, some know the potential of holding it, and some just hear and want people to know they also have bitcoin and people like this end up selling it without knowing the relevance or is benefits.
