981  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How difficult life would have been without Cryptocurrency awareness in Nigeria on: July 03, 2023, 03:01:17 PM
I use to think about how difficult things would have been for us as a Nigerians if there was no Cryptocurrency, considering how difficult it is to get a well paid job, I wonder what would have become of us, but with the help of Cryptocurrency  things became  more easy with many ways of making money through crypto as such most people now prefer online than working for someone. But Most times I use to imagine the way this country is moving, thousands and millions of unemployed youth, to even make the matter worst government doesn't even care about the welfare of the citizens, they does what they feel is right undermining if citizens are okay by it or not, There are millions people graduating everyday but no job.

Your life before you started crypto and now which one is better? Let's share our experience.

Awareness is one of the best means of advertising any business, especially when it comes to crypto a lot of  Nigerians had a lot of misconceptions about Bitcoin majority see it as a way of scamming people and even if Bitcoin has its own bad side when it comes to been liquidated and scam, but with awareness, they have a better knowledge on what the whole deal is, and a lot of us have taken it upon our self to improve the bitcoin ecosystem in Nigeria which is one of the best things I enjoy doing my self any opportunity I get I tell people to invest to enjoy in the future.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 03, 2023, 02:43:56 PM
Manchester City management has really proven its performance in terms of player recruitment. The players they are hunting for clearly have prospects and potential so they will not hesitate to spend money even though the player's price is very expensive. If they succeed in bringing in Gvardiol then the strength at the back will be very solid and difficult for other teams to match. Apart from that, Kovacic is also a suitable replacement for Gundogan who has left. I believe that in the next few seasons Manchester City will be difficult to stop, especially since they are still managed by Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola has really good eyes truly when it comes to fishing for players and that's been a good advantage to the club I think one of the lucky manchester city has gotten is Guardiola even the owner of manchester city does not bother since he has very strong confidence in coach, Guardiola doesn't just go for players he must have seen prospect in you before making any move of buying any player, Gvardiol will truly solidify their defense system since the Croatia defender has a good record that has caught Guardiola attention.

lo
Pep Guardiola present as the manager will still make the team very strong and unbeatable easily for now. It’ll take time maybe for other teams to always find the lapses of the club in order to be able to penetrate them and win matches against them. I don’t know how much long Pep Guardiola will remain in Manchester City unless he wasn’t to become the new longest managers in premier league history, just as the likes of Alex Ferguson of Manchester United and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal which I doubt. He’s a great manager with a lot of experience and many teams will love to have him in their club. After few seasons, if he gets a good offer from another club, he might possibly leave and join them.

Guardiola is still ready for wonders this time around and is doing everything possible to keep the fire in the club burning hell, even if he leaves manchester city the man has made a very good name for himself, aside from that he has good strategies that have developed the club, every club will bid a very good price just to have him. we hope to see more surprises from him.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 03, 2023, 12:28:40 PM
Many expectations of bitcoin this year failed, but I notice that bitcoin always breakout into a new price after interval of five years, the last massive explosion of price was between 2017-2018 and since then, bitcoin has not record major price increase. Now if you calculate from 2018 to 2023 that's about 5 years though because of policy of economic inflation and influence the price has not gain its actual strength to break resistance limits and if the remaining quarter of the year fails even more, then we should expect 2024 to 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 fire. We should start to make plans for 2024 more buys more gains.

I've read numerous reviews from people claiming to be able to predict the Bitcoin price, but the market is unstable and constantly fluctuates due to a variety of factors, including trends and other social influences. I can still clearly remember that in 2015, nobody anticipated that Bitcoin would eventually reach a price of $60,000. Even with technical analysis, predicting the future of Bitcoin is not a sure thing at all and all some people do is predict with the help of historical data. am very sure when the bull run starts it is going to be a hit am very sure of that. Using old data to predict what will happen is not for Bitcoin at all.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 02, 2023, 09:44:30 PM
Arsenal failed to win the Premier League because they could not maintain their consistency. I think the reason is that they don't really have the proper preparation and they don't have a lot of options to rotate players, so fatigue and injury became a big problem for them. Besides that, Arsenal also don't really have a winning mentality, one important thing that their rival (Man City) has.

The fact that Arsenal did not win the Premier League really does not disappoint many people. At the midpoint of the season, Arsenal's play ceased to be consistent once more, and after the heat, they returned with the goal of taking the title. The victory over Manchester City by Arsenal was unexpected, and Arsenal truly does not have a mindset of winning.

Arsenal had failed to maintain their consistency due to injuries and most likely fatigue too as the same players were the ones playing all the time. But I don’t really get what you meant by Arsenal not having a winning mentality. I think they’ve got a winning mentality and that’s why they had been leading the league table for a while.

They had been winning their games and gathered some good points to be a bit ahead. That’s a winning mentality in my book. They had suffered some set back and lost points which led to Manchester City who was hot at their heels overtake them and finally win the league. Manchester City no doubt  has a winning mentality and is a superb team.

Injuries have a way of tipping the balance of the team because they will undoubtedly affect some crucial positions, which will change the way the team is structured. Additionally, because Arsenal lacked a winning mentality, their performance plummeted when they were expected to accumulate more points, which is when they started losing. I pray Arsenal performs better since they have tested glory they will want to do better next season.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I convinced my stubborn neighbour working for a central bank to adopt Bitcoi on: July 02, 2023, 07:21:06 PM
At first i thought your conversation with your neighbor ended in a big argument lol but it seems that it didn't at all, i read your conversation with your neighbor from the start and it seems that your neighbor is a person who is easily provoked but is careful in taking a stand.  anyway, do not be surprised when hear that people from banks do not believe in and are against bitcoin because indeed they feel that bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies that are currently spreading are a big threat to the continuity of the bank's business.

after you introduce bitcoin to him, it's a good idea to also remind him about the volatility of bitcoin prices and never sell when the market is bearish, then recommend the best and safest personal wallet that he should use.

I once had an encounter with a contractor who claimed that Bitcoin will crash one day and that he would personally not invest any money in it. Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that everyone is free to hold their own opinions, so whatever he decides is his choice. Getting back to the discussion, some people are easily agitated when the argument is not in their favor. I don't understand why bankers are against Bitcoin when most of them are undoubtedly involved, In addition, you mentioned that investing in Bitcoin carries its own danger and that it's important to be aware of con artists' schemes. Finally, keep your seed phrase online, and don't store your keys or your money anywhere else.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 02, 2023, 06:44:17 PM
Very soon, the truth will prevail and we will know the reason why this was done, or we may never know, but I really don't think that there is going to be a serious cage fight between two tech giants and billionaires who even if have something going on, this is not necessary for that.

There isn’t going to be any fight. As for a reason on why this fight was even conceived in the first place, who knows? I think this was done for jokes and to see how people would speculate about who would turn out the winner. I bet both of them would be laughing their asses off while reading comments and seeing both their social media apps flood with posts about the fight.
I would think this was done to remain relevant and be still talked about and trending but those two are always trending and talked about. They’re billionaires with their own social media apps.

Sometimes Elon can be a pain in the rear, and I believe Elon was bothering Mark too much, so Mark decided to fix the fight to stop Elon from bothering him too much. I'm confident there won't be a match I'm confident it will just be a cruise, and if there is, I'm confident Elon will win because he's more muscular than Mark because Mark is very skinny. How hilarious I've never seen anything like this; imagine too many tech giants fighting in a ring like professional boxers, and wonder what it will look like. some times it is always good to stare up at the environment on social media.
987  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bicycle fit be the game changer on: July 02, 2023, 04:47:46 PM
Hello my fellow country people. As e be like this for Naija, people don dey think go the direction of bicycle o. If you reason am well, bicycle make sense wella. Na better excise and untop of that, e no dey use fuel and na small money you go use dey maintain am. Those of us wey grow up for village where bicycle dey like benz go fit relate.

Just as motor get types and class, bicycle too get levels. But the good thing be say you you go fit buy bicycle as your pocket reach. With as little as 30k you go fit buy bicycle even though fairly used one and this will save you plenty transport.

I know say risk dey for bicycle too especially for busy cities but because of the small speed of bicycle, accidents no dey kill like motor and okada accidents.

My people how una see am?

That's the problem I have with Nigerians our dependency on one thing is too much, and that is why we are always affected seriously every time the government implements any policy, if we had other means of public transportation the subsidy would not have bothered anybody, However, it appears that 80% of transportation is now done by road, which is not what should be the case. Building rails would make interstate travel much easier. If you look at developed nations, you'll see that they hardly ever use their cars. Instead, they take the train or bus. Bro cycling is also a good idea. If you have enough money, you could just buy an electric bike, which eliminates the need to worry about purchasing fuel. All you have to do is charge it.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 12:50:18 PM
The majority of betting sites I am familiar with in my area don't really think about being strict on the issue of KYC the only thing I have seen in their advertisements is always "18+," but do they actually abide by the rules sometimes when you go to most of these betting agents use to see a lot of young ones also there trying to place their bets. I feel enforcement needs to take this into consideration because exposing children to gambling at a young age is not the best at all, And I appreciate that some of the nations are comprised of people aged 21 and older at the very least, they should be mature enough to understand their boundaries by that time.
989  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk; a school on its own. on: July 01, 2023, 11:01:27 PM
I am aways very grateful that I am part of this community, and I don't know how my life would have been If I wasn't part this amazing community.I termed it a school due to how broad it is,and how impactful it's knowledge has been on us.So many persons started this forum knowing nothing about bitcoin, but due to the ideas, topics of discuss, and knowledge shared in this forum, they have known several things, and are also teaching other people about bitcoin. We are here to discover several other things we haven't known about bitcoin, and it is only in this Forum that we can get such information, because we have lots experienced people here.I'm glad to belong to this school of thought," Bitcointalk School of thought."

And I believe this forum is a small library, with access to limitless material. The best part is when I can ask questions to gain a better understanding, of pertinent topics when I first joined, I was even afraid to post, but as time passed, I realized what this section is for. and, at the end of the day, the conversational aspect of it all is just the best you can express yourself freely which is the best of it all, having to be on this forum is one of the best things, There is also a lot of caution when it comes to how scammers work and risk management when it comes to trading too much information for free and not paying anything.
990  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 01, 2023, 10:25:31 PM
Those who are already in financial freedom have some responsibilities of family which they have to managed according to their income so I think that one who earn passive income cannot enjoy financial freedom but one benefit of passive income is that person managed all the activities of life by himself and does not beg in front of others to take loan and its a very great full and lucky moments.

As the earning of individuals increase so the inflation also increases therefore in this financial freedom if one successfully fulfil daily uses and save some amount then its better. I think that those who have greater income should help others who don't have any source of earning.
Most people with very large responsibilities have families, talk about accommodation, then talk about feeding and other warfare, managing a large family is not encouraged currently, the expenses will be too high, and these days there are only a few jobs that pay well and even at that, your earning can hardly keep up with the responsibility, even with multiple jobs they are just there as well, talk about the bills, again, once you can hustle and have a job can at least pay the bills, and at the same time help you manage your responsibility well, and also have access to loans for support also in case of an emergency. and inflation is becoming a global issue and everything is becoming expensive. sometimes I wonder if what we consumed is not produced on this planet since the prices of things are going up.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 01, 2023, 09:17:44 PM
Mbappe can be a worthy replacement for Karim Benzema. I think even Mbappe can perform better than Benzema with Madrid. However, it is completely uncertain whether Mbappe will join Real Madrid. Moreover, Joselu has been recruited by Madrid management. On the other hand, Liverpool are interested in spending 300 million for Mbappe. The chances of seeing Mbappe with Real Madrid are diminishing by the day. Mbappe has disappointed Madrid fans in each of the past seasons.

he will definitely do well in Madrid but I don't think for a start he will perform better it will take some time to be able to adjust to the way they play in Madrid, and sincerely if mbappe joins Madrid it will be of serious help to him since he wants to build a betterr career, at least madrid have a chance of also winning the champions league, and Liverpool also interested in him but I feel he will perform better in madrid.

Kylian Mbappe has denied wanting to leave PSG this summer, he claims he only rejected a contract extension but wants to complete his already running contract at the club. Real Madrid are the only club showing serious interest and has informed PSG that they are willing to buy Mbappe for £200 million, apart from Real Madrid I am not sure Liverpool will be will want to sell their players to get Mbappe. I think moving to Real Madrid will be a boost to his career, he’s an incredible player and he’s young, PSG may be paying him a lot of money but if he wants to win ballon d’or, Real Madrid is the club he should go.

The fact that Kylian Mbappe rejected the contract extension clearly indicates that he intends to leave the club. At some point, he wants to advance his career and also wants money, but he must make a choice because he cannot have both at once. The boy is good, though, and he originally wanted to move to Madrid because they increased his pay at PSG but later change his mind.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kylian Mbappe extends his contract with PSG again. And that's what we've seen in the last few seasons as well. But if Kylian Mbappe wants to win the Champions League or the Ballon d'Or, he will definitely have to leave PSG. Because while PSG has plenty of money, they have repeatedly failed to build a stable squad. And so Liverpool or Real Madrid would be good choices for Kylian Mbappe. Liverpool will be stronger if Kylian Mbappe joins Liverpool. And Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League will also increase.

If he chooses to extend his contract, he will know what is best for him. However, in my opinion, if he is serious about winning the Champions League, he should move to another club. During the World Cup, I actually liked how he played it was an amazing match. The two clubs mentioned as being the best for him are both Real Madrid and Liverpool, but I still think he would fit in better in Madrid.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 01, 2023, 04:45:33 PM

Mbappe is not a young player anymore. He is quite an experienced player now. And he proved his mettle. He played very well in Ligue 1. Mbappe also performed well in the Champions League. Mbappe has performed very well in the France jersey at the World Cup. Mbappe is a great player. He can be a worthy replacement for Benzema. And Madrid needs a striker who can score a lot of goals. This is why Real Madrid management has been waiting for Mbappe for a long time.

Although Joselu is a talented player, we are not sure if he can play well with Madrid. Joselu's performance at Espanyol was good. From this, it can be assumed that he will play well with Madrid. But there is no way to say for sure.

Even though mbappe is only 24 years old, I believe he still has a lot of playing time ahead of him. The only issue I see with him is that because of his speed, he tends to use more energy than necessary, which lowers performance and is currently affecting Ronaldo. However, mbappe doesn't train in the same way as Ronaldo. Young man has a really strong champions league record, which I believe is one of the reasons he wants to join Real Madrid. I also believe that one of his goals is to help France win the next world cup. Additionally, I don't believe Mbappe will do well in the Benzema position because he is more effective as a winger.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: June 30, 2023, 10:30:42 AM
Exchange like Bittrex and other mentioned exchange had served the cryptonians for years back then and yes they are the most trusted in their days but business need to an end as there are no permanent in this world.

Asking me if I will still do business with them? of course if happens that they gain the business back so why not?

Where is the confidence coming from, with exchanges, I know we can't do without them, but the fact that we use them, I don't trust them, they are volunteer to a lot of defaults, especially being hacked, or just disappearing so many things can happen, the issue of FTX shows why it is very risky to trust an exchange we should just, the only thing I can suggest you do is getting a secured wallet with your seed phrase properly saved and whenever you want to Run any transaction, all you have to do is send the amount you want to buy or sell on the exchange that is if you are selling and to your wallet if you buying.
994  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: TRAGIC FLOOD AT TRADEMORE ESTATE, ABUJA. on: June 29, 2023, 11:25:08 PM
I learned through the news that most of the houses in the estate have been demolished. People have refused to leave the residence that has been marked for demolition. The destruction was sad, and I am certain that the estate does not have sufficient drainage or is not properly managed.  I believe that organizations must take their jobs seriously because the damage is a significant threat to life. I'm sure a lot of thought has gone into it, and something will be done since it involves people's lives. According to NIMET the rain has just began so more is coming, people needs to start doing what is right to avoid occrances in the future.

Snip

It would surely be an achievement if Manchester United could win the Champions league trophy. It's still a bit early to know if Manchester United could compete and actually have a chance at the trophy. I wouldn't hold my breath for long though as It's safe to say they're no longer considered favorites for the trophy.

But there's still hope for the club with Ten Hag at the helm. He has lifted the hopes of fans all over and I hope he could deliver.
The Champions league trophy might in my opinion still be out of their reach at the moment, they're still great contenders for the premier league.

It will be a very difficult task for Manchester United to win the Champions League I am not even counting them among those who will succeed in the Champions League; the action they are taking appears to be very slow to me I know they tried during the Premier League, but I expected more from them even in the Premier League, I do not believe Manchester United has a chance to win I believe Manchester United should trim their players to just the way Chelsea is doing now. Why i made this statement is that next season is going  to be hot in all directions, they need to keep up to meet up. I see Chelsea making incredible changes to the club.
996  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: June 29, 2023, 07:48:44 AM
Money is the root of all evil and that's what makes the world go round where it's the necessity to have money in order to survive in this world we lived in wherein everything has price of its own that people spend for goods, house, medical, services and much much more. Not all are blessed with much money that's why not all have the opportunities to have a good life in this earth. Nonetheless, not all money is important all the time but having a good relationships, mental health and having peace of mind is also important.

It has actually gotten to the point where money rules and cannot be left out, just one thing I noticed is that if people with money can buy a second chance in life, they are willing to spend any amount they can to remain alive, watching resident evil the movie actually made it look as if it was a message for the future, back to the subject at hand there is no way you can stay without money, You need it to feed, shelter, or obtain health care. Even before we arrived at this civilization, there was trading via barter, exchanging one product for another. The reality is that money will continue to rule. Since they are already implementing a cashless strategy, I am confident that they will continue to improve money.
997  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: June 29, 2023, 05:45:56 AM
In what ways have the people living in poverty impacted in the economy?
Share your ideas on the importance of the poor masses in economy sustainability.

The poor are always available to work to earn a living when it comes to labor, but looking at current events, is more of the economy having an impact on the poor. One major issue that man faces is being able to afford food and shelter, and having access to this is challenging. My issue with the beggars in my area is that the majority don't have any deformities but will refuse to work and prefer to beg with this they will definitely be affected by the economy, I am aware of a few instances when the government has attempted to empower people by giving them tools or other methods of generating income, only to wind up selling it off.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: June 28, 2023, 05:49:23 PM
I think Luka Modric won't go to Saudi Arabia after the end of his contract with Real Madrid either. I expect him to retire after having his last season here. He can even retire from national football as well at the same time. It just feels like Modric could have gone to a Saudi Arabian team or an MLS team maybe already. Because he is really old now.
For next season it looks like Luka Modric will stay at Real Madrid and he still has the chance of at least one season to play in Europe. Fitness and physicality are an obstacle for him to play full game in every match, but for the national team that might still be able to play at Euro 2024, the decision to move might be realized next season because for now Real Madrid still needs him until next season.

The opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia will be considered when his contract with Real Madrid is up and so far only Saudi Arabia has been able to provide big salaries for European players and many European players have already decided to play in the Saudi Arabian League, whereas MLM is only looking for a few players according to the needs and not as intense as Saudi Arabia.

Luka Modric if he eventually plays for real Madrid this will be the last season, his age will not favor him and I think why Madrid is still keeping him because of his performance, his performance is not that bad this season, in La Liga he scored four goals and scored three goals in the champions, I think the man still has some juice in him. and I think he should prepare, once his retirement his near he should just move to Saud since their room for him to make more money,  age will always catch up with footballers look at Ronaldo and Messi age has caught up with them and has affected their performance, and Ronaldo has been in Saudi has favored. him.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: June 28, 2023, 03:23:03 PM
Focusing on investment is good than focusing on eating. I understood this from the personal expenses met by my mother and how she saves money. It looks small, but it helps and even helped when I don't have money I borrow from mother.

we all know how important it is to invest but to the extent of starving yourself off proper meals, the only thing I see is that is always good to have some saving no matter how small it, and I think your mom did a good job teaching you how to save, I also remembered when I use to have a piggy bank, once am gifted any cash it was always deposited there.

Quote
She grows lots of plants and vegetables around the house and meets the daily food needs. With the rest available she sell it to the nearby people and gets little money. This she use on other groceries required. Being on the rural region this can be followed easily. Sometimes she manages with the food that is left unused the previous day with some sort of modification. Some might term it unhealthy, but she does it in a healthy and tasty manner.

Wow, I am amazed and smiled at how vegetables bring money, one of the best investments I noticed is agriculture because people need to eat, there is no way you won't sell when it is agricultural produce, you eat and you can also sell from it, the disadvantage is that it has its own risk and it involves stress. the demand for food is increasing. I prefer rural towns to cities because they provide access to fresh produce, which is beneficial to one's health.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: June 28, 2023, 02:20:46 PM
The point here is not to force others to learn about bitcoin. When they really have no interest in bitcoin, whatever you do to pique their curiosity is counterproductive; sometimes it makes them hate it and look at you with eyes like you are a fin scammer. Change the subject immediately if they don't like it. Perhaps just teaching and guiding those who know how to find it will be a better thing. Anyway, we need to be effective, not cram for everyone.

I don't think it is ideal for forcing anything, even if it isn't Bitcoin, I have held a section on air, and the problem I noticed is that the majority of people have a misconception about Bitcoin because most things online are scams, people also have the same mindset about bitcoin, especially our parents, but making them understand is not a bad idea at all, but I learned something about does that are interested in bitcoin, I tell them to do their own research before they start blaming you for their loss, and another thing is that if you're talking about bitcoin and the individual isn't interested, it's better to let them be.

In addition, we should not condemn too those people who show no interest to bitcoin. Simply because they have their own reasons and their own beliefs, hence they deserve respect too. And to think that it’s not our loss but them, so we should only focus sharing our insights only to those who are hunger to learn because for sure they will also promote it to their peers once they are knowledgeable enough to do it. Yes, teaching bitcoin is not a do or die, that’s why we should not force people to learn about bitcoin if they don’t have the will and interest to learn.

I don't think he was condemning those that are interested but was just making it clear that the risk is theirs and you won't blame anybody for your loss, I also agree with you that everyone is entitled to their own opinion if they are interested or not is their choice, in my own opinion once the awareness is made the people can decide their interest.
