1741  Economy / Reputation / Re: Injustice while Tagging on: January 23, 2023, 09:11:21 AM
Then Why Mr Crank,Jawadu,Prasagta has been tagged? Who will be responsible for their reputation?

I gave @MrCrank negative for promoting a fake humanitarian project. Exploiting human suffering and crisis in Ukraine for personal gain is one of the most unethical actions imaginable, and that's why I don't trust such a member. Anyone who disagrees with my judgment is free to remove me from their Trust list.

I recognized @Jawadu from a previous case where he accepted to promote a project that the previous manager had labeled as scam and refused to work with them. Here is the reference. After the QI Scam was exposed for plagiarism, he persisted in defending the project for his personal benefit, as you can see here. A few months later, the token's value to plummet from $0.4 to $0.02. So basically, I'm still waiting for him to prove me wrong.  Wink

As for @Prasagta, I don't know who that guy is and I don't think I've ever tagged him.
1742  Economy / Reputation / Re: Injustice while Tagging on: January 22, 2023, 02:24:52 PM
So am I right in my understanding that the main wrongdoing here is the plagiarized whitepaper?  That's certainly wrong to do and doesn't reflect well on the integrity of whoever's behind the project, but that doesn't say much about how legit MetaMallVerse is or to what extent Royse777's reputation ought to be sullied.
Beside some other red flags like having anonymous team while conducting ICO and generally looking like very little effort and thought has been put into this project, you are right, the reason why MetaMallVerse account got tagged and flagged is due plagiarized whitepaper. Combine those two things and its pretty obvious how this is going to end up.

Not only the whitepaper, but also the website (and most of the content in the ANN topic) is also plagiarized from various sources, but mostly from the Cypherdog project: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5430836.msg61635556#msg61635556

It's clear from a simple five-minute Google search that this project is nothing more than a simple copycat scheme. They take bits and pieces from other projects without any original ideas or concepts, just to deceive uninformed investors and make a quick buck before disappearing in a month or two.
1743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarized Whitepaper - MEMV MetaMallVerse on: January 22, 2023, 12:41:02 PM
Yes, this is a big red flag and definitely something to be cautious of. I did some more research and it's pretty clear that this project has not only plagiarized their whitepaper, but their website[1] as well. A lot of the content seems to have been copied from the medium article of the Cypherdog project[2].

Original source: https://medium.com/@e.kozera/what-makes-cypherdog-stand-out-a2149ae6e471

This is an unacceptable act and a blatant violation of intellectual property[3], and raises serious concerns about the credibility of the project. Anyone considering investing or becoming involved with this project should be aware that it has engaged in such a dishonest and unethical behavior.

1744  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Plagiarized Whitepaper - MEMV MetaMallVerse on: January 22, 2023, 09:19:24 AM
It's been a month since this scam accusation was first made, but nothing has changed. Their website still has a link to the same plagiarized whitepaper and there's still no information about their team, despite what MetaMallVerse promised.

Hello, Thank you for raising this concern, we have hired a new writer group and they are working on the new version of the whitepaper. Next week we are expecting to publish it.

MetaMallVerse, it's been several weeks and it seems that you haven't kept your word. Can you please explain what has been happening with your project and your team? It is very important to be transparent with your community and stakeholders. Your failure to deliver on your promises is a serious concern.
1745  Economy / Reputation / Re: Injustice while Tagging on: January 22, 2023, 08:50:21 AM
Where is FatFork Rikafip JollyGood who make comments on this situation or there negative feedback for just innocent and honest person

Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I had completely forgotten about this plagiarism case and wasn't familiar with their bounty campaign as I don't regularly check that board. I'll definitely take a look at it now. My thoughts are that any bounty manager should always do their own research before promoting a project. If they continue to actively promote a project despite clear indications that it's a scam, then they should be held accountable.
1746  Economy / Reputation / Re: campaign manager post counts behaviors; is this accepted? on: January 21, 2023, 12:16:53 PM
Like for instance, you join a campaign and you are required to post about 20 or 25,

If I understand correctly, you are participating in a pay-per-post campaign, which means that even though some of your posts were rejected, you were still compensated for the remaining ones. I wouldn't be upset about that, as it is typical for a manager to have stricter rules in such a campaign.

Do you think other managers who doesn't disqualify post aren't knowledgeable enough or they are just being friendly or knowing that not all that are fluent with english.
I have joined lot of well known managers campaign but they hardly rejects post.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if managers paid more attention to the quality of their participants' posts, particularly in the Gambling section, where there seems to be a lot of spam. (I want to make it clear that I haven't checked your posts, and I'm not saying they were spam.)

I am curious to know why only 1 or 2 managers do rejected post and remove participants without any note or comments on their spreadsheet.
What do we called this
Being rude or not being friendly?

I recall having a similar discussion a few years ago when I was just starting my journey in this community. I was inexperienced and naive (in terms of this forum) and the manager's actions offended and hurt me emotionally. But over time, you learn to develop a thicker skin and not be affected by such things as much. Looking back, today I would say that everyone has the right to hold their own opinion, and even if it differs from yours, it's important to learn to respect it. The only thing within your control is your own actions, and working on bettering yourself and proving them wrong, as I have done, is the best course of action. As others have pointed out already, this is their party, they make the rules. Either you dance to their tune or you can always leave the dance floor.
1747  Economy / Reputation / Re: I received this private message (Royse777's screenshot manipulation). on: January 21, 2023, 11:15:06 AM
There is a site that allows you to determine whether a photo has been modified with the help of any editors or not. In 2018, this site made it easy to identify fake photos. If the photo was edited, then the site clearly issued a conclusion on editing. You can try checking your screenshots.

http://imageedited.com/
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5055311.msg47163222#msg47163222

Well, the images were edited anyway, since some names were hidden. So that website, while it can be useful in some cases, it isn't here.

That's right. The website utilizes EXIF metadata analysis to detect fake photos. However, unlike real photos that can be fingerprinted and contain EXIF data, screenshots don't have the necessary EXIF information for this purpose. Besides, as you also noted, the images are no doubt already modified anyway (censored sender) so any further analysis is irrelevant.

I never trust screenshots, unless I trust the sender. Either way, they're useless as evidence.

I agree. Even if the screenshots are pixel perfect and free of that chat bubble glitch, that still doesn't guarantee their authenticity. Unfortunately, some members will accept such flimsy evidence at face value to incriminate a member.
1748  Other / Archival / Re: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank on: January 21, 2023, 08:59:44 AM
I know I'm not qualified, please I want to make an appeal for myself. I have 2 merit, I joined the forum January 19th 2023 with 10 activities so far

Hey there! Welcome to the forum!
I understand that you might be feeling a bit discouraged about your rank at the moment. But, it's important to remember that progress takes time and effort. Along with the merits, you also need at least 30 activity points for your next rank. My advice to you is to take the time to get involved in the community. Keep an eye out for interesting discussions and posts by other members, and join in on the conversation. This will help to establish a positive presence and build your credibility and over time, as you continue to contribute and engage, your rank will gradually increase.

Rank: Full Member
Amount of merit: 242

Hey Frankolala, I have no doubt that you will reach Sr. Member rank in no time, but note that you still lack 16 activity points. I suggest you focus on that, and the merits will come naturally by then anyway.  Wink

At first, I recalled how Riocasino admitted to be that guy some months ago when he started posting around here, but I assumed he was just being sarcastic, because I thought nobody would be silly enough to openly admit to evade a ban.

However, I took the time to do some digging and found this. I assume this would certainly help you to reach your own conclusions, I have already got mine.

Let us see what others have to say.
It would not be surprising is he is ban evading, cocaine, gambling and attention seeking are hells of addictions.  Roll Eyes

1751  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling discussion board needs a child board? on: January 20, 2023, 08:18:46 PM
Most of the discussions about sports betting have their own dedicated threads, so I don't think it is necessary to create new child boards . If you don't want to see any more sports betting threads, simply mark them as ignored (which will make other gambling discussion threads stand out).
1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: i won over 3k on a roullete in stake.com (emotional day) on: January 20, 2023, 07:46:20 PM
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a perfect example of a degenerate gambler. Don't be like OP, don't become a degenerate gambler!

I agree. There seems to be something suspicious going on here.

This story bears a striking resemblance to the troll known as Fishy001, with a similar level of poor writing skills, comparable accounts of both significant losses and victories in the casino, as well as the presentation of false evidence. OP, do you have any association with Fishy001 account?
1753  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 20, 2023, 06:59:25 PM
Since the ignore list is private, this analysis is not very logical. Because a manager doesn't know if that user is being ignored by others or not.

The only way for this to happen is for the manager to have also ignored that user, otherwise he will be seen as any other user.

It appears that you may not have fully comprehended the context of the posts you are replying to. We were discussing a hypothetical situation in which ignore lists were made public. Clearly, that is not the current state of affairs.

1755  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 20, 2023, 01:44:44 PM
There are many reasons why some people prefer to gamble on their phone, rather than from a desktop-based option. One reason could be that some people find it more convenient to use their phone, as it is always with them and they can access their gambling account from anywhere. Some people are also simply more comfortable using a mobile device, as they have grown up with this type of technology and prefer it over other options.

For me, it was always a matter of convenience. If I'm at home or in the office, I use a desktop computer; if I'm traveling somewhere and don't want to take my laptop or tablet with me, then I'll use my phone. It's that simple.
1756  Economy / Gambling / Re: One thread per site ONLY on: January 20, 2023, 01:29:07 PM
I wrote a neutral review about a gambling website and it got removed. I think you mean that even the review should join the first thread that discusses the platform. Right?

Yes. If the casino you want to review already has a thread, whether official or unofficial, post your review there rather than creating a new topic. This helps keep the discussions on the forum organized and easy to follow. Creating a new thread for each individual comment can get a bit confusing, so let's avoid that if we can, okay?
1757  Economy / Gambling / Re: OLE777 - Join Us For New And Exciting Promos! on: January 20, 2023, 01:18:53 PM
Next, for the image. That's not our website. Our website is https://ole7.io/en/#/main if
you click the URL I provided now and compare that screenshot with the "grabbed" image from a real estate person.
It's not our website.

So you claim that "ole777.in" is not your domain? Are you also claiming that "ole777.io" is not your domain? Both domains were registered just one day apart.

Besides, if they're not your domains, why haven't you reported them to the domain registrars or taken any legal action against them? They are clearly using your name, branding and copyrighted materials, and both domains have been active for some time.

The team is legitimate and has already done nothing questionable or the like in previous projects.

Your lack of transparency raises questions about the legitimacy of your team and the authenticity of your project, which appears to contain plagiarized content, as pointed out by @holydarkness. Explain yourself now and provide evidence to support your claims. There is no team listed on the website. Are you part of the team?
1759  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 19, 2023, 02:13:28 PM
I have a question for you.

Having someone put you in their ignore list and having someone distrusting you, which one is more damaging?

I guess it is distrusting, because it will reduce your trust score and affect your overall forum reputation. But ignoring someone doesn't have any public impact but personal impact. It could be you don't want to see the persons posts.
So, if trust list can be view, ignore list should also.

I have a different perspective on this. Firstly, trust lists are made public in order to prevent manipulation, as they have a significant impact on how the trust system functions overall. Whereas, as you mentioned, ignore lists only affect an individual's experience on the forum.

However, if ignore lists were made public, they would have a much greater detrimental and adverse effect on the individuals who are included on them. Not only would it potentially damage their reputation within the community, but it could also lead to the exclusion of such members from any marketing campaigns and job opportunities on the forum. The perception of being on an ignore list by a significant number of reputable community members could discourage managers from hiring such individuals.

Additionally, making ignore lists public would likely discourage individuals from expressing their opinions or participating in discussions, as they would fear being added to an ignore list and facing the associated consequences. Ultimately, this would likely lead to a less inclusive and less healthy community.
1760  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: January 19, 2023, 01:40:12 PM
To see merit circulate very well in the forum. There are good posts that go unmerited.
If merit sources are assigned to boards of assigned to ranks preferably it will be nice to spread merits.
<cut>

I'm not on board with this idea. As Ratimov said, when it comes to sending merit, the only thing that should be considered is the quality of the post and the poster's contribution to the community, everything else is irrelevant and should be disregarded. Let's keep the process as simple as possible.
