Thread title says it basically.
Almost all Altcoins are currently falling, which means they are dumped for Bitcoins.
So Bitcoins should be bought and therefore rising => but they are also falling.
Why is that?
and segwit may make bitcoin split into two like ETH and ETC so I think most bitcoin holders will turn bitcoin into fiat. not all holders are brave enough to keep hold of bitcoin at the moment. |

I prefer to sell bitcoin and wait till 1 august my friend also suggest this. indeed the decrease of almost all cryptocurrency values makes me a little tense but I'm not scared in this case.

buy bitcoin when bitcoin trend goes down and sell it as trend rises for the right time you can estimate it and sell it when the price is higher than the buy price. my opinion if you want to buy now you should think first because on august 1 there will be segwit.

As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
no one knows what's going on in the future so the crash that cause bitcoin can't survive may indeed exist and all speculation is on 1st august. it's better to follow the things that happen in the future. |

Im on the decision of taking profit right now and convert my btc into fiat because i am really afraid of august 1, but after reading all the post here i am convince that many people here are being optimistic and see bitcoin will surely rise after the said downfall, and now i realized that the bip148 will surely helps us to make the fees low and for a faster transaction.
My advice is don't be a weak hand and sell your bitcoins. don't believe what you see upfront, not everything is true as they appear. be a stong hand who is not easily shaken. bitcoin will either go up or down. if it goes down, just buy more because the price will just go back again . imo bitcoin and its community is strong enough to withstand the negative effects that might occur on the given date. The impact will affect towards the end of this month, I think bitcoin will return like two months ago where the movement is only played by the market. So far, the news that keeps bitcoin price down makes the bitcoin price higher, I'm part of a community that believes and tries to keep bitcoin stable. Really appreciate it, i will hold onto it until it hit my target price, now im not afraid for the said august 1. I am now convince to hold and dont sell on panic because bitcoin will surely bounce back, after its a good community. if bitcoin go down in 1st august it's a good opportunity to buy as long as don't panic about the down of bitcoin price its can be a advantage. I tried to hold bitcoin until 1 august I was very curious on that day. |

Bitcoin has proven, that it is works fine, even through times of different attack modes (FUD, spam, patenting, +, XT, RV, CW etc). I don't think we have a pressure to raise the blocksize or to force the mass adaption. We don't need no SegWit to make Bitcoin great again, because it is already. Give this baby time to grow, folks.
bitcoin is still fine after a lot of attacks are true and I think perhaps the change is indeed needed not only to adjust the mass adoption but also to make bitcoin better. changes are needed to adjust the progress of the times. |

we also don't know on the 1st of August whether the price changes of bitcoin decreased or even rose which cause the chain split. too late or not to buying bitcoin nobody knows but from some predictions they say chain split could cause a bitcoin price reduction.

memang agak sulit menjelaskan bitcoin sih apalagi bitcoin adalah mata uang digital yang tidak mempunyai bentuk apalagi jika menjelaskan ke orang yang gak begitu mengerti teknologi. menurut saya sih jika ingin menjelaskan dibarengi dengan praktek dan kita hanya perlu menjelaskan bagaimana cara memperoleh bitcoin dari berbagai sumber karena yang membuat teman anda penasaran pada bitcoin adalah penghasilannya.

sabar aja gan masih baru soalnya mending jangan mikirin penghasilan dulu tapi kalau ngebet banget yang daftar yang altcoin kalau udah jr.member. diawal proses memang kelihatan susah tapi kalau udah dijalanin akan terasa mudah kok. fokus bikin posting dan post di board yang berkualitas kalau post juga jangan 1 baris mulu.

This may be true or may not be as its a matter of luck and skills when the btc was purchased. Some one who had purchased at around 200$ had made a quick buck then those who had invested at 1000$ around couple of years had to wait for 2 years + to get the return. So even people have lost the big amount in it.
what you say that is true but not instant because to earning bitcoin we takes a time skill luck and effort and mean of instant in my opinion is you don't need time to rich. |

If you own a huge amount of bitcoin, then it is really worth the effort of securing it to the maximum level. But if you are just starting out and only have a small amount, I think online wallets are still ok, just for the sake of convenience. But as others have mentioned, the safety of your bitcoins depend on how much your online wallet provider takes care of their security.
and depending on how the owner keeps his account like ignoring his email which is likely to be phishing or any other suspicious matter. for huge bitcoin is not recommended for online wallet or wallet in exchanger. |
