1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SPOTS - The iGotSpots Super-Coin.. what more do you need to know? on: June 11, 2016, 02:46:25 AM
Spots Version 2.0 is now out. Optional update - NOT MANDATORY - Both versions 1 and 2 will work just fine. Bootstrap is also on the page linked below. I'll update the source later tonight

Changes
  • Web Tools tab added to the Qt
  • Provides stats, tickers, and price information for several different blockchains
  • More coming soon to the Web Tools tab
  • Faster Syncing (yes, even faster than before)

1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:   DigiCube    IN-WALLET BLACKJACK    STAKE ON ANDROID    MULTIPOOL   on: June 10, 2016, 10:49:26 PM
I have 1.3 million CUBE, will be on C-Cex at 25 sats.  Sorry, but with the current situation, and attitudes from both sides there is no way this will be resolved.

Sorry guys, but I'm out!   I've lost quite a bit on this coin as I stated puchasing it when it was 5K stats.   Lesson learned.

Good luck to those that are going to keep going.

Another drop in the bucket of people that are upset with me for something that's out of my control.. Do what you gotta do, Bittrex basically killed CUBE and it's sad you guys are letting one site bully you around like this. Makes me lose faith that anything will ever be decentralized
We are only asking you to settle an agreement with BITTREX, so that DIGICUBE is not completely delisted.

Other coins have worse problems, but they remain in "maintenance" mode.

We are not saying that you should accept that you are wrong, but try to settle this issue with BITTREX, before June 15th.

They aren't going to change their minds, there is nothing to be done on our side

What is the point of another spots coin?

This isn't really a new one, it's a rebrand

.........I understand what you're saying and that nobody gives a shit why things happen, only what did happen. I understand that completely, trust me. The point is that Bittrex has a problem ....

bittrex made up the rollback ?

I don't think that at all. I believe they had invalid blocks as they say, it's in the logs there is no doubt. What I'm saying is that this can easily be prevented for ALL coins by verifying recent checkpoints. Of the 1700 invalid blocks they confirmed, there were 0 checkpoints, while mainnet continued with valid checkpoints. This is what checkpoints are made for. To not use the tools provided to you by the software is just absurd to me..

Yes, I know c-cex posted the logs of this, too, but debug would also show this even if they received the blocks at a later time. Meaning that when Bittrex tried to submit them to the network, c-cex said fuck no and showed that in the logs. All of you spouting nonsense against my competence should really check how debug.log writes its content.. However, if true, this means that in an entire day, no coins moved anywhere on the entire network other than to/from Bittrex? Please.. if you believe that, then I'd like to sell you a time machine. I promise it works, but sale is as-is with no refunds

There are a limited amount of messages that can be written, and if needed I can edit them to be more specific so people can see in plain english what they mean, but anyone who is bothering to look at debug.log should already understand how it works..

of course, wallet code made the rollback.
but you'r totally unable to plead guilty, by design.
now let's watch the holders' agony, it's beautiful  Grin

How is their faulty node correcting itself a bad thing on my end? If anything, it shows my shit works..

As you stated above the reason Bittrex are going to delist CUBE is thats it "could casue financial loss", what other major exchange would list such a coin after reading that?

A simple google search brings up this thread, and the more you read it, the more it raises a FUCKING HUGE RED FLAG!

Spots - I'm not blaming you for the severe drop in value, it's crypto and shit happens.  It just appears that your unwilling/unable (maybe due to Bittrex) to work out the differences to get the coin back to where it should be.

This WAS an awesome coin, and had such great promise.   I'ts a real shame just to let if fade into obscurity with all the other shitcoins out there.

That's pointing the finger at the wrong party. CUBE never had a problem, this was Bittrex-only, my friend. I understand what you're saying and that nobody gives a shit why things happen, only what did happen. I understand that completely, trust me. The point is that Bittrex has a problem and that I will not gravel and kiss ass to be included on a platform that has already had a problem more than once

Think of it this way.. how people would feel seeing this and thinking the coin has problems is exactly how I feel about Bittrex's platform right now. CUBE works flawlessly, it is Bittrex with the issues. I do not feel their system is as secure as once thought, just as you assume people will think that about the coin. Trust me, I understand the situation, but I do not feel like kissing ass to the people who actually fucked up is the way to go

People can blame me all they want since I am obviously the face of the coin (it comes with the territory, my skin is thick, and it's whatever), and it's not my ego in the way here, but as they say.. insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting different results. I am not insane

You say this WAS an awesome coin. Well guess what.. nothing has changed. The only thing different is Bittrex pushing their weight around like a fat kid in the sandbox, and now they want to take their football home and pout because someone told them they are wrong

Just so you guys know.. we are going to be setting up a new multipool that will combine hash (for more blocks for all users) of all payout coins, and will allow you to choose which coin you want to be paid in: CUBE, PRIME, and SPOTS will be available payout options

So can this coin be mined now or is it for stake only?

No direct mining. We will have a multi-algo pool up soon (hoping to test this weekend) that will allow payouts in multiple coins, SPOTS included

Yo, if you guys want it to stay there, it's on you to get it done. I've explained my side to them in private and our discussion goes further than you guys think. It's nothing to do with ego. THEY LOST COINS. Why the FUCK would you want to give them the opportunity to do so twice? I have no desire to continue discussions with people who have already proven once that it can happen. It's absurd that you guys don't understand that THEY ALREADY LOST CUBE

Well the consensus is that we want to keep CUBE on Bittrex by all accounts we just need you to apologize which is quite simple. CUBE isnt going anywhere on CCEX you must understand that and everyone makes mistakes doesnt matter how perfect you are it happens. Spots Ive always supported you and before the Bittrex who ha CUBE was on 200 sats now look surely it makes sense.

Nothing to apologize for lol I have done absolutely nothing wrong. They are removing it because 'it could cause financial loss' due to their own actions, or lack thereof. The delisting 100% has nothing to do with me personally. If it was personal, PRIME would be getting removed, too, which it's not. Same codebase using PPC, too, so piece it together how you will

If there's a bug in CUBE, there's a bug in hundreds of coins (there's not)

Just a quick update on what I've been working on the last couple days

Click the picture above to take a peek. It will have graphs and charts and stuff eventually, as well as multipool stats when we get that up. I'm still working on all the API, but if you notice any exchanges missing for any coins, please let me know

Yep, you're right, all my fault lol

You guys can blame me all you want, but CUBE has more than pretty much any coin other than the top few and most of it is run by Paul or myself (with pretty much no help from any of you), and a coin and blockchain that work great

We've done our part

BITTREX SLACK DISCUSSION WITH BITTREX-RICHIE

XXXXXXXXX [4:11 AM]
 
Hi BITTREX. I have a special request regarding DIGICUBE. On behalf of the team, I request that DIGICUBE should not be delisted from BITTREX. We need to resolve this issue. Isn't there any way to RELIST DIGICUBE back to BITTREX? We still have till 15th June to resolve this issue.

bittrex-richie [4:14 AM]
 
XXXXXXXXX: i’d rather have that conversation in public if you really want to have it

[4:15]
 
but bottom line, the dev thinks theres nothing wrong with the blockchain… i think otherwise… and up to this point hes insulted and then threatened us even when i tried to explain the issue.

[4:17]
 

It could be settled with a chat over beers ? Spots don't let us down. Don't let all the hard work goto waste.
we’ve already posted on the thread what the issue is.

They think the chain is broken while we have hundreds of users agreeing on blocks that it's not. There's not much left for me to say

I think they wanted an apology from you last time I read the posts from Bittrex.

For what? I don't give a fuck if I hurt someone's feelings when they are wrong and trying to blame the coin. Toughen up, buttercup
See the arrogance of this f8cker? It would be resolved and have relisted to bittrex, but this f8cker dont care about you or anyone investing in this sh!tty coin. better leave this sh!tty coin asap.

How is that arrogance? If anything, it's apathy towards stupid people who don't know where to point their fingers

Well it looks like were at a stalemate, as both parties are convinced they are right.

For the sake of the coin and it's community can we not settle the differences and work together to sort this mess out.

I can understand Spots not wanting to apologise if the coin forked for an unknown reason, but then corrected itself.

But, I can also see Rich's argument that it shouldn't have forked, and he has/may have lost money on this.

Is it not possible to draw a line in the sand so to speak and work together to make sure this doesn't happen again, but get the coin back on Bittrex (with checkpoint verification active if it really is just a few lines of code)?

They confirmed over 550k CUBE that were sold on the market that did not actually exist. The people who sent them to Bittrex then sent them to C-CEX on the real chain and dumped the same coins twice

They are the ones that are upset, not me. No users of CUBE lost anything, only Bittrex did, so there's really nothing to be done on our end
