You only need a conf file if you're using things like reservebalance

There is no need to use addnodes, many seeds are available; I just did a new build, new folder, new everything with no conf and instantly had 21 connections on load

Nothing is wrong. Difficulty needs to adjust to the new parameters and less staking inputs
