$0.045 vs $0.41 and it doesn't matter how many inputs you have? What's cheaper?

i was hoping fednow would be completely free. $0.045 is not completely free. so if they're goal is just to be making money off people I'm not sure how big of a fan I'm going to be of that. but yeah, it's still way cheaper than bitcoin. look at this though:

https://www.pymnts.com/news/retail/2023/walmart-hints-at-early-fednow-adoption-while-amazon-is-mum-so-far/

this story was back in may of this year. long ago and walmart's already kssing up to fednow EVEN BEFORE IT COMES OUT. they never kissed up to bitcoin and bitcoin has been out over a decade... Shocked

It is not surprising that there is a fee as most transaction almost always do. And seeing that it is relatively a lot cheaper than bitcoin it will surely attract more people. It's a basic system we have here, people always go for the cheaper fees no matter what. I mean $0.045 looks better than $0.41, whoever you ask when it comes to fees.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 31, 2023, 11:55:09 PM
The game 1 of TS and TL confirmed that Liquid is just too strong now after they demolished Team Spirit on game 1 with same manner they defeated Talon. Team Liquid is very aggressive in both drafts and lanes. This is a difficult Team Liquid which usually just farm lanes and just casually get a rotation.

Zai Naga Siren to steal yatoro hero is really worth it and monster. He dominates his lane which result for the enemy carry to become gap and unable to catch up even on mid game to late game.

Team Liquid is using different strategy since they was beaten down to lower bracket.
Despite how TL was strong on the game 1, it's the opposite on what they've been through on game 2. Well, this is a total good match. A former TI champ and probably soon to be a TI champ(not unless GG takes it).

Yeah right, TL started to loose their edge on the game after repeating sa,e strategy on game 2 which is having 3 core heroes while they lose since they gave space for Yatoro to farm hard while all their 3 core heroes is no match against Yatoro on face to face battle because of chrono.

Same happened on game 3 and 4 which Yatoro is completely free to farm items while TL carry can’t match Yatoro farming and itemization skills. miCke is no match for Yatoro in terms of carrying team. TL is string when Zai or Nisha dominates the game but completely weak if the game comes when they rely only to miCKe on late game to carry the team.

Micke is a strong carry provided he had a good start, or their supports are having a good time roaming around the map and making space for the man. Unfortunately for him, TS didn't want to give up even an inch of the map to them and it resulted to a lot of catastrophe. This is what gave TS the edge: map control. It became too scary for anyone to move around the map for a while because TL's heroes are squishy, and can easily be picked off from the map.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: July 31, 2023, 11:37:40 PM
I've seen Corinna Kopf streaming casino slots on Twitch, but it seems she encountered some issues with the platform for certain reasons. As far as I know the problems have been resolved. It can be entertaining to watch but she mentioned that she was betting on her friend's casino, and it appeared like she was promoting it for money. I didn't investigate too much but the games she was playing are purely based on luck, and to be honest I'm not a fan of those kinds of games. Personally, I prefer betting on real-life events like sports or even esports. Smiley

Casino owners would surely want someone to be entertaining for their advertisements. Also, popular gambling streamers would avoid betting on real world events and prefer to take on easier and lighter promo tasks such as playing on casino games that can be rigged by the casino themselves to make it look like the gambler is winning a lot. In betting sports, the streamer would need to explain every bet and a lot of those things to the viewers which I think doesn't sound fun to a lot of them since they need to make a research and appear as if they know everything about the sport.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: July 31, 2023, 11:17:20 PM
Wagering is a trap that a lot of gamblers are falling into. There's really no better way to lose your money other than chasing the wagering requirements for a certain bonus. Since you have that wagering requirements in mind, you would want to do everything to hit that and sometimes, you'll do that by betting in huge sums to hit it way faster. Even at 98% chance and a max bet, there's still a huge possibility to lose that bet and all your money just because you want to reach the requirements fairly easily.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing Slot Games On Demo/Free mode Vs Live/Paid Mode on: July 31, 2023, 10:03:50 PM
It's something that occurred to me as well. There are times wherein I win a lot in demo/free spins but not in the actual game. Even with small bets, I'm winning a lot and getting positive returns. It's possible that the slots in the demo/free mode are rigged so that the players will have this thought in their mind that they could have won that amount with real money. Baiting people to deposit and play with real money is morally wrong, though nothing says that it can't be used as a form of 'advertisement' either.
1766  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano nga ba ang Vishing? on: July 31, 2023, 02:40:34 PM

1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 31, 2023, 12:46:50 PM

It would be hard to do it massively as a lot of commerce are still not open to accept bitcoin. As we all know there is still an existing mindset of the public about the negative views on using bitcoin. Though I do agree that it will be a good change specially in trading and international transaction, it is something that will take a long time for people to accept and adapt. Hopefully though, one day it will come to that.
So far, this will not be of any mass nature, since the average resident uses a salary for daily needs, and bitcoin is not yet adapted enough to be used as a fiat. But I would be happy if I were paid a salary in bitcoins, since I save part of my salary for buying bitcoin and, if necessary, I can easily convert bitcoin to fiat if necessary.

That is true, additionally bitcoin's value goes and up and down and hence is not stable enough as means for salary. A lot of workers will find this inconvenient as many uses their salary to pay for fix bills (like rents and loans) and so they will have a problem with the changes of bitcoin value. As far as possibility, it is far from ever happening.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 31, 2023, 11:37:04 AM
It seems impossible for bitcoin to fall to one dollar as there are more and more people using and gaining knowledge about the system. The only possible way for it to happen is if something tragic in the economy happens. Essentially, it is pretty impossible right now and in the next 10 years. Hence, my speculations can be as good or as bad as the next person as it is something that is hard to predict as it is highly unlikely right now.
1770  Economy / Economics / Re: These are the top 100 brands by value in 2023 on: July 31, 2023, 10:17:40 AM
Amazon, Google, and Apple are to be expected to dominate the market. These three are used by majority of the population, with their ties to technology, market, education, and general every day lives of the people. TikTok is surely making a name for itself as more and more users and brands are using it for marketing and entertainment.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 31, 2023, 09:27:09 AM
But Guys why we still talk about twitter stock when twitter is delisted by the exchange I just quick do google search and the site said

In late October 2022, the company was purchased by Elon Musk for $43billion US dollars, and the company was subsequently removed from public trading on November 8th, 2022. Each individual share was paid out at $53.70 prior to delisting. View historical data and performance charts for twitter share prices. - https://uk.investing.com/equities/twitter-inc#:~:text=In%20late%20October%202022%2C%20the,charts%20for%20twitter%20share%20prices.

It is currently like that, they have recently closed it for public trading. However, it should be noted that possibility of a rise in twitter or x stock can happen if Elon Musk or the board decides to open it again for public trading. As of now, it is unclear what Elon is planning to do next after the huge rebrand of the platform.

But my view is that Bitcoin will be more convenient to use if it enjoys the same popularity and support fiat enjoys.
Something else needs to happen for that to happen though. Bitcoin has been here for over 10 years now.

I agree. A big shift in the economy and technology will need to happen first before bitcoin reaches that point of acceptance, popularity and support. It is not as easy as people think it is. Not everyone have the means and immediate acceptance to a big change that bitcoin will surely bring once that happens. Even now, there is still a big number of people that do not like using e-payments.
1773  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 31, 2023, 08:01:10 AM
Financial environment is not more important than emotional value controlling emotions can increase net worth as important as personal finances. If the financial system is functioning emotional control is possible, so the financial value should be looked at in this direction. First make a budget and follow that budget. There are many aspects we need to take care of if we are aiming to be financially independent. A lot of sacrifices have to be made, a lot of expenses have to be controlled. And income should increase savings should increase investment should increase.

This is true. You have to accept what you can afford and can't, which in turn is connected to emotions. Moreover, if we let our emotions take control in which we allow impulsiveness and envy get the best of us we are surely going to lose control of your finance.
1774  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some financial secrets that you know of? on: July 31, 2023, 06:58:14 AM
Save & invest consistently, try to make saving a habit and invest wisely to grow your wealth over time.

Diversify your income because relying on a single source of income may limit your wealth potential. Explore multiple income streams like side hustles or investments.

Try to control your expenses & live within your means. Avoid unnecessary expenses to have more money available for savings and investments.

Invest in your knowledge & skills to increase your earning potential & stay ahead in the constantly evolving world.
Focus on long term financial goals & avoid impulsive decisions that can hinder your wealth accumulation.
We don't just earn money but we have to spend that money according to a certain plan. Spend as much money as possible in the place where possible. There are many people who earn good amount of money monthly but at the end of the month it is seen that even after earning good amount of money, they do not have any money to deposit, in that case they must spend money according to a specific plan.

*First we need to identify why we spend so much money and where we spend more money.

*If we have a habit of overeating at restaurants then we must change that habit because eating at restaurants is very expensive.

*You must be aware of yourself when buying clothes. Instead of buying expensive clothes, buy limited price clothes.
Avoid spending extra money unnecessarily.

If we spend money in this way, it will be seen that even with a limited amount of income, we can save some money at the end of the month in addition to managing the family well.

I always say this to myself and the people I know. There is nothing wrong with spending some of your hard earned money but you need to be smart about it. You have to make sure that your purchases will benefit you, it should be something that you need. If you are just going to buy something that will be stored and serve no purpose then that is an immediate no. It's okay to spend but make sure it is well thought out.
1775  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: July 31, 2023, 06:33:33 AM
income is indeed the main factor for people to become rich, but besides that financial management is also very important to manage income so that it can be in accordance with the target, on the other hand lifestyle affects our financial arrangements, so that a simple lifestyle can be applied, so the remaining income we can divert it to invest or carry out other business activities, I suggest that diversification is needed, because we do not know every business whether it will always be successful or not

Exactly. No matter how big your income is, if you don't manage it smartly then it will still be a waste. You will still find yourself losing most of your money. You will notice that you are barely saving anything. Being a smart money handler is probably the most significant key to ensure that you are making progress when it comes to your financial aspects.

To be honest if baguham din ko sa isang bagay at nag hahanap ako ng information is sa youtube ako pupunta because I like video presentes knowledge. Learning crypto sa youtube is a great start pero if maghahanap ka ng potential coins aa youtube is I don't think a good move.

1777  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano nga ba ang Vishing? on: July 30, 2023, 09:21:44 PM
1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 30, 2023, 08:49:30 PM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?
I wouldn't explain/teach nothing if you are 100% sure that your neighbor is a drug dealer. It's not a nice situation because 1) it looks like he already knows you know about bitcoin 2) you don't have the best neighbor. I would simply say that you lost interest in bitcoin time ago and you don't have it/use it anymore. But in the first place why would you even tell your neighbor about you and bitcoin? I would never do something like that, you never know who people actually are.

I was also wondering the same thing. How did his other neighbor knew about his knowledge about bitcoin? I understand if it is a close friend or family and OP just mentioned it a few times. Also, you should talk to the other neighbor who might have mentioned to your possibly drug dealer neighbor your knowledge about bitcoin. It is not fine that they are just spreading that information without your knowledge and consent.
1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin to pay everything online? on: July 30, 2023, 08:31:54 PM
Unfortunately no, bitcoin cannot be use to pay for everything. It is kind of ideal though. However, not every merchant accepts bitcoin as a means for payment. Despite the rise of bitcoin users and enjoyers it is still not as widely use and acceptable as other mobile payment transaction and bank transfer and payment.

Another race where there was no competition has been completed, it was won by Max Verstappen, with Perez finishing in second place with the same car
I had predicted Max as the leader after 4 laps, but he took it easy. As Hamilton said a few months ago, this is the most dominant car ever in Formula 1 history, and they will break all the records

I don't think there'll be another dominant car again like what Red Bull  has currently. Come 2024, a lot of things will change, so Red Bull better secure all the help he could and top every record that has been created if Max ever wants his legacy to be sealed in F1. Also, he's been planning to retire soon, so Max should go out with a bang.
