@Everybody: we should define the options that we have to move forward. Please submit your ideas here and we will setup then a voting system and let everybody decide the future of EduCoin.
Some things that we have to discuss:
- Algorithm change?
- PoS/PoW
- Conversion of existing EduCoin to EduCoin 2.0 (Rate)
- Incentives to mining and getting network security (currently non-existent)

what's the significance of having an HTML5-based wallet (as opposed to a Qt wallet?)?
Having an HTML5 wallet has 4 main benefits: 1. It's far more visually appealing and user-friendly than a Qt wallet. 2. It's easy to modify the underlying code to support more features, as it is written in Javascript rather than C++. 3. We will have support for third-party skins, so that you can customize the look of your wallet. 4. We can release on it on a reasonable time-frame (if we had written one in C++ with Qt from scratch it would have taken months). Cool - so what are the disadvantages? I mean, why isn't everyone doing this? Simply put, most coins just don't have developers who can pull this off. ^ what he/she said |

Who are dumping SYS in this very low price, I really can't understand why.
Me neither, as the devs are getting closer to releasing the proper user interface for all the exciting SYS features. Probably it was someone that needed the money out, so he sold (at a loss). At Mintpal it was one dump, at Allcoin there was a series of smaller sales, each progressively lower. I am still holding, even considering buying more at these low prices... Yeah we can't explain the price movements but that has zero impact on our plans / work unless we get strong signals from the community the work is going the wrong way. We're still working hard here, promo #1 just started with a wide variety of partners, getting a blog post together on it right now. There is so much going on internally, its disappointing to see price dropping but those who have some vision and patience here will do very well. probably miners cashing in if i could guess i don't mean to be negative but why is there so many coins... 2billion total at the end of the day i just wanna know the reason for having such a large supply |

Maybe this is too much to ask right now with developers so busy, but wondering if could get some explanation as how this coin compares to NXT coin. Is there similarity, improvements, or are they very different coins.
Wondering mostly since NXT is really lot of talk right now, as seems syscoin heard can do much more than is offered from NXT.
