Exactly. How can you have 2000 Post and still use "Show new replies to your posts."? There must be so much stuff in there you don't follow anymore. There are only like 12 threads or so, that I wanted unsubscribed. Not many. The ones that don't get replied to are old and buried. I am guessing this is why watchlist was made? Cuz you cannot unsubscribe from threads under Show new replies to your posts. I believe theymos should work on this, so we can unsubscribe from certain threads under, show new replies to your posts. The watchlist has exactly the same features + 1. You can unsubscribe . 2. You can subscribe to threads without posting in them. If any "Show new replies to your posts." should just be removed. |

Despite what you may read about the forum, unconfirmed transactions work plenty well enough for this sort of thing.
What if you send a 0-fee TX that doesn't exceed the priority threshold, so it will sit unconfirmed for days, but then you are able to double spend it back to another address of yours with a fee when you get back home? Of course there are risks. But how often would this happen? 1. If you do a double spend in a shop or a bar, you will never shop there again or drink a beer there again 2. We are not talking about values of 1000nds of $ here, but a normal Bill at a bar or shop 3. If that's you reasoning as a shop owner, you should also not accept Credit Cards, because the person could always do a charge back later or the Credit doesn't have any backing 4. The normal user isn't even able to do a double spend and it will get less and less the more Bitcoin goes mainstream, but everyone can do a CC charge back or pay without having enough backing on his account. In addition there is always the "risk" that your transaction actually confirms. |

Mein Senf dazu:  NMC - sehr gute idee, würde ich als DNS-verwenden (hab auch schon einige .bit domains), aber nicht als zahlungsmittel, also keine konkurrenz zu BTC LTC - wird sich m.E. nicht durchsetzen, grund: BTC ist schon zu verbreitet, BTC-besitzer werden nicht umsteigen wollen, außerdem sind die kürzeren block-intervalle nicht nur vorteilhaft, zB bei schlechter netzwerk-anbindung PPC - grausam! davon halte ich gar nichts. grund: nicht dezentral, der name trügt FRC - auch nicht dezentral, außerdem würde niemand mehr als spielgeld darein investieren, wer will schon freiwillig jährlich geld verlieren? DVC - auch nicht dezentral. bekäme ich die 90%, fänd ich's aber gut  BTE - meine theorie ist, dass sich eine bitcoin-kopie niemals durchsetzen kann, solange sie nicht mehr feature zu bieten hat / besser funktioniert, also wird's nichts mit BTE BTC - am meisten verbreitet, wird deshalb auch nicht mehr von einer ähnlichen währung überholt werden können. ein kleiner haken an der sache: leider auch nicht komplett dezentral, siehe alert system  +1 Sehe ich ganz genauso. Auch wenn ich deinen Punkten soweit zustimme rechne ich PPC und FRC (und NMC) noch an, dass diese wenigstens Ansätze sind wirklich etwas am Konzept zu ändern. Gerade bei PPC ist die Idee noch unausgereift und bringt mehr Schwächen in das System, aber es ist immerhin ein Versuch wirklich etwas zu verbessern statt einfach nur eine der Variablen (Blockzeit, Menge der Coins, Mining Algorithmus) zu verändern. Solche Ansätze sind das einzige warum ich mir das Alternate cryptocurrencies Board überhaupt anschaue, denn vielleicht schafft es jemand ja wirklich mal etwas entscheidendes zu verbessern. Momentan tauchen dort aber nur Kopien der gleichen Idee am laufenden Band auf. Und bevor wieder Litcoin unterstützt Scrypt und ist besser für GPUs kommt: Das Mining dient nur der Netzwerksicherung. Ziel ist es Leuten einen Finanziellen Anreiz zu geben, dass Netzwerk zu sichern und damit die Kosten für einen Angriff zu erhöhen. Ob dazu nun ASICs, GPUs oder Windmühlen nötig sind spielt absolut keine Rolle. |

Is anyone receiving their claimed hashrate profit? I should receive at least 3mBTC at the current difficulty but am only receiving 1mBTC. Guess the pool hasn't been very lucky?
i also noticed that a few times ago. my own miningrig with less hashingpower generates more btc then the pyraminingaccount. but i guess, this is only, because pyramining is not buying new fpga-hardware for new deposits (whats reasonable, imho). and so, new deposits slow the entiere reward-system down. i really can understand people, that feel scammed. but i think, pyramining is still trying its best to get asics fast and satisfy investors. also, i think they will be fair to all people, that invested anyways and supported pyramining in that hard times and give some advantage to them, when their asics are ready. (for example raise initial-bonus or something like that) You also need to count in that 30% of your reward goes to your sponsors as long as there are active accounts above you. 30% of your income will be sent upwards: 15% of your income will be sent to your sponsor. 7.5% to the 2nd grade sponsor and 7.5% to the 3rd grade sponsor. |

Die bärische Analyse, vertreten u.a. von "lucif", "BrightAnarchist" und "siulynot", sagt, dass die Rally zu Ende ist, weil der Trendkanal nach oben ab den 50 $ beim Absturz gestern durchbrochen wurde. Es könnte also durchaus noch mal deutlich zweistellig werden.
Was man aber mal schön gesehen hat, wie viel Spekulation da drinn ist. Außer ein paar Junkies und Spinnern nutzt derzeit niemand Bitcoins zum Bezahlen. Es gibt natürlich eine Nachfrage, aber ob die momentan überhaupt auch nur einen zweistelligen Kurs bewirken würde, darf schon bezweifelt werden. Denn, dazu muss ich kein Analyst sein: Wenn der Kurs mal eben von 260 auf 50 fällt, dann sind all die $ und €, die von 50 bis 260 investiert wurden reine Spekulation gewesen. Da hat niemand Bitcoins gekauft, weil er sie tatsächlich braucht, sondern sie wurden gehortet. Und ohne Spekulation/Rebuying wäre der Kurs noch deutlich weiter nach unten gerauscht. Ich denke, der Bitcoin hat noch viel Potential - nach unten. Man muss nur geduldig warten. Wer etwas anderes glaubt, der verwechselt ein Pokerturnier mit Bausparen. Ja natürlich. Wir waren im Januar gerade mal bei 12$ dann ist er bis auf ca. 20 gestiegen, ab da sind dann fast nur noch schnell reich werden Idioten reingekommen. Also mehr als die 20 sehe ich eigentlich nicht als gerechtfertigt, vielleicht noch etwas mehr durch die erhörte Aufmerksamkeit. Aber um was anderes als Spekulation dreht sich hier doch auch gar nichts mehr. Naja, habe noch ein winziges bisschen Hoffnung, das zumindest ein Teil der Leute hier sich irgendwann für Bitcoin begeistert. Aber nicht sehr viel. |
