It's my opinion that we should have been well north of $1K many years ago, that's how much I think bitcoin is undervalued right now.

I fully agree with that. While it was over $1k 3 years ago, that was an artificial high.

Follow the exponential rise from a fifth of a penny in May 2010, through dime later that year, a dollar several months later, bubbling up past $39 in the Great Bubble only to settle in at over $2 later that year, then less than half a year later setting a new ATH at $266 during the second major bubble, only to drop to $50, and then reach $1200 during the 3rd big bubble.

The peaks of the 3 mega-bubbles all rose above the trend lines and were quickly brought back down to earth. Since then we've been substantially below the trend lines and are only recently recovering. The 2014-2015 prices in the $200s were as much an anomaly as the prices in the $5-$10 range were in 2012.

Of course Bitcoin is undervalued now. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Its a factor of 20x + % of variation of how crazy the financial system is irl. But from that I can take the bubble will be somewhere in between 4.500$ and 6.250$ if the markets are conservative. And by conservative I mean that nothing happens irl with banks and other financial system and as well nothing happens with any bitcoin exchanges. (But if anything happens to any of the big exchanges... the ones that try to control will be the controlled, because people will just give up on exchanges and just go outside at the "piazza" and just ask random people "do you like to buy some BTCitcoin?", like a person selling pamphlets or tickets for something.

But as it looks, the banks will crash & burn very soon. Meaning that it will go higher than that 6.250$ conservative estimation I gave. Because many will try to store their wealth in BTCitcoin. So I can see an easy $30k - 40k$.  Roll Eyes

Bearstamp above finex. Absolutely critical.

Maybe its rigged by the Chinese to sway some votes on "what the price should be?".  Grin

Where did you get those price per bitcoin numbers from? It seems like some arbitrary value. Is it just made up?  Huh Huh

I would guess that it comes from dividing the marketcap number by 21 million.

I don't know enough about economics to know if that is a good way to calculate price. Thanks for sharing though.  Smiley

Well, the market capitalization of bitcoin is, by definition, the number of coins multiplied by price.  In this case I think they just used the maximum number of coins that will ever exist, so $50/coin X 21M coins is ~1 billion dollar marketcap, and so on down the chart.

For the "present" / actual values that thing is 25% undervalued. Meaning you must add 25% for each price of btc for each billion market cap value attributed.

On Huobi I think the correction will go from ~5450 CNY to ~5325 CNY ... But it is very uncertain for now if it does not want to go another leg up 15-20$ ... and then go back a 10-15$ correction.   Huh

Hello older self... its me future self... I see u'r talking by yourself again. And what would you predict next "oh great Oracle" ?  ... Hmmm... I think I'm gonna throw some more warm cow sh!t at a wall to see what's the next prediction on that chart that I have drawn on that given wall.  Grin

Hello older self talking with one of your past future self... The dripping of bull sh!t on the wall has stopped! .. And it is starting to dry out! It is time to make a new predictions...

That China currency devaluation just fills me with joy!

It proves that BTCitcoin works.. Smiley And it is a safe and prosperous method to hold on to your wealth!

I can already feel those China investors having a party already... they be like : "F the New Year celebrations! ... We gonna party for being in time to the bitcoin train that will take us to the next "bubble"(ath)!"  Cheesy

That's going to be an adapted dirty alt that achieved that, probably a private version of NEM/XEM which is being trialled by various operations in Asia.

The obvious choice for now is BTC ...

But assuming that the banks will do their own development and their coders come up with parts that look better, but with parts that are still corrupt to serve their own interests. The answer is simple... bitcoin will be chosen against that. But the thing is that bitcoin is like a social media... when everyone has a FB account for example, and there is no entity to undermine the original version of that platform, then other "social medias" cannot compete if it is not fully selfless by its original standards that made it likeable.

And so the new alt that they will propose it will be basically a pontzi scheme for them to have a bigger share in bitcoin and pertain to some kind of control to the cause or for the cause, and also to recuperate the loss they missed out on when not investing. They will try or they are trying to get back at us somehow.  Smiley

If every millionaire on the planet would want to own one bitcoin there will not be enough btc to make that possible. no matter what they want to pay for it.

Well were not there yet so pls stop this nonsense, if we had a worlwide poll stating: Do u own some bitcoins 85% will be NO

If that would be true, Bitcoin would have gone to Neptune and beyond.

Well... even if I owned I would not tell if asked. Because... you know... that makes you a F'ing target!

So... I guess that "85%" of yours just turned to shait and its somewhere like 99.81% saying "NO!".

remember when we had problems with fiat not getting to exchanges fast enough (huge backlogs at mtGox and so on?)

I think we might have the opposing problem: BTC not getting to exchanges fast enough to stop this rocket.

I'm not frustrated Wink. I'm not selling at this point and if I was, there's enough on-exchange.

Just trying to assess the situation: so if this is indeed what's happening, we'll probably see a hefty correction once the mempool starts to clear.

No real volume to suggest it - but if not this time... maybe it just won't do it until the news is better, which doesn't look like coming soon.

I have my fingers crossed for this weekend, but on current form?

When there is almost no volume but has this force of "blunt force trauma" impact... Well... this is the stuff of unicorns & rainbows!  Cheesy

Don't remind me that please  Grin I don't want to remember!
The first time I heard of BTC it was around 15 cents: at the time I was too busy growing up and Bitcoin was just complicated digital cash back then.
What did I miss...  but today I'm scaling Bitcoin  Grin I'm happy anyway.

Jimbo good for you @ quadruple digits, but you are not happy as those guys in Chile

1 BTC =499.997,52 CLP

I was in my 2nd year at computer science... and if only I would have looked up on the damn code. It would have been very clear what was going on.

Sorry guys cos my prediction cocern the hike in price of bitcoin last weekend fail but with the current price of bitcoin, bitcoin is gaining some lil strength

I spoke a week ago with my shaman & with my bruja sisterhood coven secretary and they clearly stated that the beaver blue moon of November predicted good fortune for my gambling habits!

But now that I see the pressure that is being accumulated ... And the thing that comes to mind is just "blunt force trauma", and the markets are raging like an angry beast that says : "I will smash you hard! Don't F* with me!"

And from that you should understand that dealing with "uncertainty BS" for now is just nonsense for anything trader under 1200$.
