Mcafee predicted $15k by the end of July at the latest...so he only has about a week for the price to double.

For once I'd like to hear someone admit it was the cocaine talking.

Ah, but really... $15k is not too far from $12288... who are we to be critical here?

1783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 23, 2018, 07:23:10 AM
I have to say, $7700 is fairly close to $8000.

edit: yeah, $7750 is even closer.

I never saw again that chart with the mountain and dungeon on the background. If we are far from the dungeon, are we lost in the mountains?

Damn it, $7600 = fake news.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 20, 2018, 04:40:29 PM
All right, not only $7500 but $7600 is in a rearview mirror suddenly.
1787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 20, 2018, 12:00:52 PM
Testing $7500 again...

At what price will the handle of the cup begin forming?

I guess it depends on the scale and what would you consider "old highs"...

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cupandhandle.asp

Quote
As a stock forming this pattern tests old highs, it is likely to incur selling pressure from investors who previously bought at those levels; selling pressure is likely to make price consolidate with a tendency toward a downtrend trend for a period of four days to four weeks, before advancing higher. A cup and handle is considered a bullish continuation pattern and is used to identify buying opportunities.

Updating a falling wedge (56-hour SMA because it makes 3 bottoms line up):

Breaking up, as expected:

But now I think maybe this version is more realistic:

I would also like to submit a repost.

Let’s just roll over and let Russian secret service agents intimidate and interrogate US state department employees on American soil.

Putin assumed Mueller investigators want to come in Moscow to interrogate recently indicted 12 Russians, so he said "I'll allow it, but you'll have to let our investigators do the same". Tit for tat.

But of course he's 100% wrong. Mueller got his PR moment, that's it. He doesn't need to prove anything. Why would he need to interrogate those 12 Russians? It makes no sense.

Mueller will never make such official demands, so what's the point of discussing Putin's pre-emptive counter-demands? It's all empty talk.

But, but... Bitcoin?

1793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2018, 11:57:23 AM
It's up to each country what kind of "free" benefits like healthcare they should provide.

America's health businesses have got it nailed. Not only do health providers charge the population, they also make the American government spend more than double per capita what other governments spend for the 'free' stuff.

That's an extremely impressive trick.

I don't think John Oliver is coming back to UK... nice HBO salary far outweighs the negatives.
1794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2018, 11:44:24 AM
Google and Amazon etc compete by giving employees not only salaries, but "free" cafeteria food, "free" dental etc.

Rich western countries compete that way too. It's up to each country what kind of "free" benefits like healthcare they should provide.

You don't like "salary+benefits" package, you move to a better country.

Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, etc are global platforms, people all over the world use it to discuss freaking everything, including U.S. elections. Better get used to it, because it's not going away, ever. U.S. voters are going to be exposed to opinions of foreigners.

By the way, John Oliver is a foreigner, right?  Roll Eyes

You afraid to answer the question ?

Trump said that under intense pressure from the media. He doesn't actually believe it.

It's obvious that you're trying to put people into a box: "oh you support Trump, so you must agree with everything he said ever".

You think your opponents are so stupid that such primitive tricks might work?
1797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2018, 10:59:30 AM
You should work as a journalist, Hairy.  Roll Eyes

"Sir, do you agree with person A when he said that...?"

"Sir, do you agree with persons B and C when they say that...?"

1798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2018, 10:43:47 AM
The Republican controlled Senate House Committee came to the conclusion that Russia interfered in the election.

Just so we are clear, you don’t believe the Republican Party when they say Russia interfered in the election?

No. Who cares what party they belong, both corrupt af. Like I said before, they're actual people with their personal agendas. They want to destroy Trump, and the media keeps pressuring Trump every day to "side" with the same "intelligence" people who are plotting to destroy him. That makes no sense.

Why don't they show us the smoking gun already.
1799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 18, 2018, 10:27:30 AM

Saddam said "I don't have WMDs", but he was a terrible person and a liar, that means the opposite is true. Perfect logic, right?

Why don't they show us the evidence already, the smoking gun, you know. Like a video of Putin's agents sneaking into voting booths across the country, messing with the machines, in the middle of the night before the elections. I mean, something like this actually happened, right? For real? Roll Eyes

You can't hit the highway with a stash of cash in the car without risking the cash and everything else being confiscated.

That shit is the worst. And just imagine having silver and gold instead of cash. They'll confiscate it for sure.
