181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i invest in Ripple now? on: June 13, 2018, 03:14:43 PM
The Ripple bull has now taken the massive leap displacing bitcoin cash and heading towards an almost $1 price on the market. This coin seems to have shown fantastic potentials since the beginning of the year. Do you think is the right time to invest in Ripple?

I do not think Ripple is a good investment at all. It was a vehicle, that has done its part for the bankers regarding cheap market entry. What exactly is the utility of the Ripple token? Also it is not decentralised, no proof of work and access not free. Nothing compared to Bitcoin, Ethereum or Neo. If you want to buy rather go for ETH and just let it sit.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: June 10, 2018, 11:03:03 PM
Hey guys, what do you think, should i invest now or wait? Market is in the red zone, so it is quite risky to invest now, want to hear your opinion.

I would wait for the moment if Bitcoin goes even lower. There is a number of very good projects that look dirt cheap already like Hacken, Cindicator, Matrix or Neo. Just keep monitoring. The move up will also start quickly at some stage. The market is very volatile but just monitor BTC and the total market cap for blockchain.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad,Good Or This is Still normal on: June 10, 2018, 10:58:48 PM
1-100 coin rank in coinmarkepcap remain to fall, are this a bad news , good news or is still normally?  when we turn back time to 2017 the price its looks so normal because these things is happen to in 2017 before a great pump

The market cap for the whole of blockchain is a joke. Right now 290 billion for a technology that will be similarily disruptive as the internet at its time. The great pump will come. Just make sure to spread your investment on enough different projects.
184  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin again 6k$..... on: June 10, 2018, 10:53:28 PM
Hey guys, bitcon is now 6k again... what do you think, will bitcoin go to 5k or it is just a short fall and it is going to be 8k again soon?

The chart seems broken and based on that it could go lower. So far the April low has not been tested yet. The test for 8000 has clearly failed. That being said I do not check if Bitcoin is oversold. I am quite sure that a lot of money looking to get into the market, so even based on chart would not strongly bet against Bitcoin.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me good ICOs please on: June 10, 2018, 10:50:31 PM
Hey guys, I have got some money to invest so can you please help me. Can you recommend me some promising ICOs? I mean ICOs which can give x10.

At the moment I would not so much look for ICO but for tokens and coins newly listed at CMC and Idex. Plenty of those start trading with a significsnt discount on ICO price. So looking on those might be s better strategy at the moment.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which exchange to use? on: June 03, 2018, 07:13:10 PM
Hi,

Which exchange do you use and why?
Best option to use fiat currencies ($, €) to buy crypto?

Thanks!

With a ledger idex is nice for shopping. The gap for neo tokens is getting partly filled by switcheo right now. Of the established CEXs so far Kucoin and Binance have been my favourites.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to sell all alts? on: June 03, 2018, 06:48:12 PM
Good day,
Do you think that BTC is going to reach 20k soon?
If yes do I need to sell all alts and wait for rising BTC?
What to do now ? I am confused!!!!

The chartists say BTC will not break 8000 before final dip and McAfee says BTC will go to 15000 in June to dip from there. I am watching with interest right now if BTC breaks 8000.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta is a complete ripoff on: May 27, 2018, 12:58:53 PM
People try to use other exchanges as Etherdelta is a complete ripoff with all the stupid gas fees. Every move you need to do there you will be charged. They should be banned.

With Idex and Ddex there is better DEXs already. Cobinhood will also add a decentralized exchange to their offering. With ED it is very easy to lose money to entering wrong data. With buy orders for example it is enough to confuse the price and the amount you want to buy and you are royally screwed. Idex really much better to use.
189  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I have 26 merits!!!! Buy it if you want!!!!! on: May 26, 2018, 11:19:13 AM
we know that the merit system as it is today is not fair: firstly, merit will be given mostly to OPs, but less for the people posting brilliant answers ... more merit will circulate in high popularity thraeads, with lots of people reading them, but the guy that take on his time to help people that ask questions on less popular threads will never get anything.

Who is "we"? We do not know that the merit system isn't fair, because it simply is fair. From what you're saying people that post unique OP's that are extremely popular and helpful will get more merit than people asking questions in those same threads (or other less popular, helpful threads). I do not see the problem. People that post popular, helpful, informative contributions to the forum deserve more merit than somebody that simply had a tough time understanding the discussion. I fail to see your point.

If this person is helping somebody in a less popular thread, then the person they've helped can merit them or even another user that also found their post helpful; you know, the entire point of the merit system? Merit means you've earned it through competence, if you earn less than that is strictly and exclusively your fault/problem.

The problem will be the same in the local sections, with less trafic, so less merit points circulating.
- people will continue selling merit points. This is only the beggining.

Less Traffic = Less People to give merit = Less merit circulating in local sections; Again, where is the problem? Should local sections be given additional merit, just because they can't contribute elsewhere? Those that sell merit will be tagged by DT, will not become a significant source of merit and will disappear within 2-weeks. I've seen multiple people tagged and run-off the forum for this kind of behavior already.

If less people find your post helpful, you will receive less merit; if there's less people in that section then there is naturally less people that are able to find your post helpful, therefore you need to expand yourself to other sections of the forum if you plan to progress past the merit levels offered in the aforementioned sections. Again though, forum ranks don't even matter... Why does it matter and where is the problem? It just seems like you and everyone else complaining about merits is worried they'll never earn merit, quick tip You are the problem if this is your concern presently.

By the way, if you liked this post, give it a merit point!  Grin
I'm sure that we will also see new behaviors in the near future that are really bad for the forum, like people asking for merit.

You are a cringe-machine, this is not funny. Asking for merit isn't "bad for the forum", it's just bad for the person asking for merit; they won't receive more merit because of it, and I'd be willing to bet it has the opposite effect.  Behavior that is bad for the forum will naturally get scratched out by the DT members that do not allow for this kind of nonsense.

Well everyone with high account rank will appreciate the "merit system" as it increases or preserves the value of their accounts. I did not see any Hero or Legedary arguing against the merit system so far  Grin. While the intention of the system is good, so far I do not feel it really has gotten the right traction as most members are still unaware of how the merit system actually works. I also feel if you make the effort of disrtibuting some merit on good posts you should get a small merit reward yourself.

As it is now I feel it is a little counterproductive and it might backfire as the active use of bitcointalk seems less attractive for new members.

For young members would be great incentive to look into merit if they get a rewar of 0.1 or 0.2 merit each time they give someone else merit. Not sure if that is technically possible.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: May 26, 2018, 09:54:05 AM
I have a question.

What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?

I would like to hear some advice.  What are pros & cons of each option?

Thanks

There is only 2 Exchanges where I would consider keeping coins right now. These are binance and cobinhood. Hacken will introduce their crupto exchange rankings soon. This might give additional insights. Apart from that I think your own hardware wallet is the best place to keep things.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is suppose to give 300% gains each month on: May 26, 2018, 09:50:27 AM
I think if you have a lot of coins holding. Spread them out as much as possible. Crypto currency is going to give you 300% gains a month. People like to buy all there holdings into one coin. I think spreading them out you have a chance of going up 100% a month .

Based on the last couple of years the expectations are high. I would still expect the market to grow significantly in 2018 as it it early stage. Really important to remember not to put all eggs into one basket as there is so many factors in play and the market is highly volatile.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin price effect on Altcoin on: May 25, 2018, 09:57:36 PM
Hey everyone,
How strongly Altcoin value relate to bitcoin price. Can we know the condition of ETH/BTC ratio by analyzing BTC/USD value ?

Bitcoin still the elephant in the room. On coinmarketcap since I am checking regularly the dominance has fallen from 45% to 38%. Interestingly the large exchanges can have a major impact on the importance of bitcoin by simply adding more ETH NEO and Fiat trading pairs. Right now I do not think the market can go bull as long as bitcoin is not on a bull run.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in altcoin now? on: May 25, 2018, 09:54:13 PM
In the current dip situation, I want to put engage some of my savings into alt coins. but it is tough to me to choose the right one. Could you please help me to choose the right one which at least not push me towards FUD?

crypto is highly speculative but the rewards can be great

good solid low caps  in my opinion

hacken
cindicator

Always one of my favourites is Neo. Also have a look at zilliqa and start learning about ICO with the Balina videos on youtube.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you think About "Tether" coin. on: May 25, 2018, 09:51:38 PM
what you think About "Tether" coin.

Tether supposed to be a tool to get out of market volatility in bear market. There was rumors months ago that they are not keeping sufficient fiat reserves in USD but if that was really the case I think they would be gone by now. Google it and read up on it.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coins for 2x profit on: May 25, 2018, 09:48:31 PM
Which coin you guys suggest to buy now for short term

short term would look at some low caps

consensus is main net in June
sharder still close to ICO price in bear market
hacken only a question of time when big exchange anounced and making money
elementh so far only listed on bleutrade and maybe forkdelta
lendingblock super cheap below ICO think CEO knows what he is doing and they want to go after business investors
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Role of bitcointalk profile rank on: May 25, 2018, 09:40:00 PM
Does bitcointalk Forum rank really matter 's for signature bounty campaigns and what are the links between "Merits" and "bitcointalk forum rank" ?

You need a specific number of posts to get to a higher rank. The max number of posts counted is limited to 14 in 2 weeks I think. The merit system was introduced more recently and is supposed to be kind of a rewards system but it has pretty much closed down access to higher ranks as most people dont even know how the merit system works and so dont give any merit to other members.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know which coins are good? on: May 24, 2018, 06:24:44 PM
Lots of coins are coming in every month. But I can't know which coin will good in future,  Always I face problem with my confusion. So, is there anyway to know which coins are good?

Thank You

Look at:

1.the team
2.finished product
3.partnerships
4.existing customers
5.understand the use case

There is plenty of low caps who have that and are profitable already. Important also that the token is a vital part of the ecosystem and not like Ripple for example lacks any real functionality. Profitable low caps or higher caps are cindicator, hacken, wabi or waltonchain. You might also check on Factom and I personally did not look at Loci for a long time. Think problem was they did not burn unsold tokens but might be worth a look at this stage.
198  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price < $3000 soon on: May 24, 2018, 06:20:27 PM
Bitcoin will drop to $3000 soon, trust me

Some suggest that based on chart analysis. This does not factor in that the btc price was highly manipulated. There is players in the market that want to keep bitcoin down. This also included as series of "news" at exactly the right time. Manipulation only goes so far as blockchain is the market of the future and plenty of money already sitting on the fence looking for good entry points.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will end the hype of ICO ? on: May 23, 2018, 08:34:06 AM
Every day more and more ICO collect money, and then disappear. Do you think we need sanctions for ICO?

In the US there is a crackdown since the centra scam. The SEC is not doing the country any favours. The US has plenty of blockchain investors but the US based projects are clearly trailing behind the international competition. In the grand scheme of things the centra scam is completely meaningless. Of significance is recent development like the cease and desist order for shipchain, as it will keep more investors away from US based projects.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest to Ripple? on: May 22, 2018, 12:17:52 PM
Ripple is a shitcoin as they say, I've heard alot of negative comments about Ripple, they say ripple is a scam coin because it's centralized and majority of the holders are from banks. What do you think? Should I trust Ripple?

All of that is true and I think you should not trust Ripple. What function does the token exactly have? If you can answer that question sufficiently feel free to buy.
