181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new to crypto where to start? on: April 24, 2018, 03:20:57 AM
Dear all,
After I received hundreds of bitcoin and crypto adds on my social media I decided to join the forum to find out more about this blockchain technology. I found this forum huge and have no idea where to start. There is so much to read about. I could use some help to point me to the right direction to catch up with all this stuff here. Any help would be much appreciated.
It is difficult to know because you do not specify what are you going to try to do, do you want to become a trader? Do you want to become an investor? Do you want to become a miner? Depending on what you want to do we will have to recommend to you different strategies and different sources of information so it will be interesting to know what exactly you want to do.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin stability important? on: April 24, 2018, 02:50:50 AM
The stability of bitcoin is important because it helps investors trust and continue to participate in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin will create momentum for the cruptocurrency market and the price of bitcoin will be even higher. In the future, people will use bitcoin in the most common and effective way.
No one invest in bitcoin because of its stability, everyone invests because of the possibility of earning a significant amount of money in a relatively short amount of time, this can be a difficult thing to accept for some people especially those that want to see bitcoin used more as a currency than as some form of investment but we need to recognize that is the truth.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Those who have invested in bitcoin when it was 18k-20k$ on: April 24, 2018, 02:31:07 AM
I don't have experience myself, because I have not enough money to buy bitcoin. I think a lot of people have experience like your friends. Investing bitcoins is very risky, it takes experience and patience. You should convince your friends to hold their bitcoin, because your friends are now getting panic. Give references and descriptions to your friends, maybe in the future, bitcoin price will be more than $ 25000. Hold bitcoin until the expected price. Patience is the key to success in bitcoin investing.
Things are not so easy a person is just not going to listen to you and your advise especially if they are losing thousands of dollars and your advise could be even ignored if you were the source that told to them to invest in bitcoin in the first place, besides when people begin to panic they stop being rational and instead they become very emotional, it is very likely that people like that already sold their bitcoins and accepted their losses.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: April 24, 2018, 01:29:54 AM
I am fairly new to the crypto world. During my short time, I have contemplated how crypto will go down over the next few years.

Slowly, over time more regulations will be adopted worldwide. This is not because regulators are scared that people are getting scammed, but because they will start limiting this world from us small fish so the banks and "qualified" investors can tke over. All the large banks will then push their own crypto, and we will be left with nothing.

In my opinion, it is in our best interest to gain enough profit so we will have the funds to become qualified investors, and be able to re-enter the markets through the banks exchanges.

What does everyone else think? Do you think the big fish will continue allowing us to do trading long term, or are our days numbered?
You got it backwards, they are not going to forbid bitcoin and altcoins because people are getting scammed, that is going to be just an excuse in order to impose regulations on the market because they feel threatened about bitcoin, they thought that bitcoin was over, but the recent growth in price has showed to them that bitcoin is very much alive and is getting ready to beat them.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin VS bank on: April 24, 2018, 01:21:03 AM
In all countries, the banking system is very important, usually the banking industry can help a country's government to control the economy, the appearance of bitcoin will replace some of the banking functions in the financial aspect, so the bank is very cautious about the attitude of encryption, and the bank is now resisting to bitcoin. But I don't think bitcoin can take the place of banks.
The banking system is very important for most countries and I will not have a problem with banks if they were not such a bunch of greedy people, I understand that like in any business they want to obtain profits but the profits that they obtain for not doing anything are simply too high and the worst part is that they get those profits out of you, the one that is trusting them with your money.
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Approaches 9k! on: April 23, 2018, 10:59:54 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/testing-10k-bitcoin-price-hits-4-week-high-altcoins-shine/

Bitcoin has surged up to nearly 9000 usd. Many are rooting for a run to 10k at this point. The whole market is up because of Bitcoin's success. There still has not been any correction as many expected. Only time will tell just which way Bitcoin will be going in the upcoming week. At the rate it is going at now, the market may very well see bullish trends soon.

Good Luck Traders,
The Elysian Team
I have my doubts that is going to happen there is a very strong resistance at $9000, which means that many of the traders do not really believe that we can surpass the price and that is why they are selling and if reaching $9000 seems hard $10,000 is going to be an even greater psychological barrier, but I hope that you are right and that we see that price soon.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is not the rise you are looking for on: April 23, 2018, 10:51:43 PM
As we hope it to rise, always looking any rise like a saver but instead they seem like to a trap.
Just look at one month ago what happened from any graphic, from 7200 to 9200 it was a wild process it just rised too fast then everybody believed it is real and jumped, left with a bag in lap ,it came back to 6ks. So calculate well it s the same guy again moving, it will rise then another rise then a big fall. if it rises too steep that means it not natural, if its not natural grace yourself  Kiss
I agree in part with this, I really do not think that the growth that we are seeing is going to be very significant, the price is close to $9000 right now but I do not see it going above it there are simply too many people selling and that is what is stopping bitcoin to surpass that price, this is why I think that we need to be more patient because we are not going to see a huge growth right now.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the trend of Bitcoin prices? on: April 23, 2018, 10:23:44 PM
Since 4.13, when Bitcoin suddenly pulled up, does it mean that the bottoming is successful, Bitcoin will usher in a price increase, and it is expected to exceed $11,700, or even higher.
I do not see a huge positive or negative trends, what I see is that the price is going to remain close to the current price for some time, after some months the price will begin to grow slowly, but I really do not think that you should expect too much out of the market right now, this is not the moment to get huge profits this is the moment to buy bitcoin so you can get huge profits in the future.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In this down market how your doing? on: April 23, 2018, 10:21:12 PM
When the next market falls, I will prepare funds in advance to prepare for the purchase of money when the market falls. I will also sell my currency before the market falls.
In my opinion if you want to do that you are too late, the price of bitcoin is already going up and I do not think that we're going to see a price as low as the bottom of the crash, this is why it is very important to be always ready and to have some money in wait just in case opportunities like the one we saw appeared, so I really think that you have missed your chance.
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Holding Strong on: April 23, 2018, 09:47:47 PM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2018/04/22/bitcoin-continues-rebounding-after-april-17-tax-day/

It seems as though Bitcoin has remained at the heels of 9k even through all the doubt surrounding it. There is a lot of resistance currently at 9k as many have their sell orders set at this point. Bitcoin ha actually touched 9k for a short period of time before the sell orders brought it back down. As long as it keeps this pace there should be no doubt that a bull market is in the near future.

Good Luck Traders,
The Elysian Team
And why do you think there is a bull market waiting for us in the near future when in your words a lot people that have their sell orders at 9000 dollars? If people are willing to sell for so low price a do not see a reason for the price to go as high as you are speculating, I think a bull market could happen but not soon it's likely that is going to take at least a year before that happens.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: April 18, 2018, 11:21:51 PM

192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Serious, I Started To Worry...... on: April 18, 2018, 11:17:21 PM
I don’t know how much have you knowledge about Bitcoin? If you don’t know so much about Bitcoin it’s a natural to worry aboutbitcoin. Few Month ago the price of Bitcoin was not that, and all of the men was interested to purchase and sell but now the situation is different that doesn’t mean the same situation sustain forever or long last as a volatile currency. So don’t be worry about it, gather more knowledge about Bitcoin and that can help you to sustain more in this arena.
By the way you have own personal opinion and knowledge about this currency and have the right to take decision, if you think that is over you can quite from this world.

Those who have less knowledge about cryptocurrency are the one who are getting worried with bitcoin all the time, it is okay to get worried for as long as you not panicking, if that worries associated with panicking then it means you don't trust bitcoin a lot and you still need to have little patience in doing so.
Which is why one of the most basic rules when it comes to investing is to never invest in something that you do not understand you do not have to understand fully how bitcoin works or the math behind it but you need to make a great effort and read the most we can about bitcoin and only invest when we are fully convinced about its future, if you do that then the movements in the price are not going to affect you.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: April 18, 2018, 10:52:41 PM
Right now US Government and China Government have trade war and that will trigger economic crisis around the world. Many Stocks market dropping right now and with globalitation it will affecting in many country. Hopely in will end soon
The trade war between the United States and China is not going to end soon, in fact I really think this is just the beginning of the open a hostilities because the United States and China have been in a trade war for a very long time, it is only recently that we are seeing more direct actions by both actors, and believe me this is only going to escalate and I hope that it doesn't escalate into a real war.

But crypto will grow right?  Cool
Yes that is the most likely outcome, just remember to always have a plan in case that doesn't happen, for example many people that bought when the price of bitcoin reached 20,000 dollars did not had a plan of what they were going to do if the price went down and as a result they lost a lot of money so always keep in your mind the possibility that the price can still go down even if that doesn't seem very likely.
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: The real problem of bitcoin price decline on: April 16, 2018, 09:28:57 PM
You can't blame them. They invested and it is quite natural to be scared if they see something going unplanned and rumours being spread. Specially new traders who has no knowledge about how the markets work.It takes time for them to understand and eventually they will. You can't just tell them to leave the community.
I really do not know if it's appropriate to call them traders, you need to know about how the market moves and many concepts before you are able to call yourself a trader, to be honest many of the people that invested not knowing what they were getting into were really dumb, I know that I'll never do something like that especially if you are investing a significant amount of money that you are not willing to lose in a market that is so volatile.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: April 16, 2018, 09:18:35 PM
Hello guys,

here i want to start a discussion about the possibility of getting rich with cryptos. if you start off with an amount of lets say max. 1k i dont think so. If we say you are able to invest like 10-100k you can still earn alot of money but in this case you are already very wealthy. Here is no enough space below this post to either say "Hey man you got it right" or just prove me wrong. leeeeeeeeeeeeets go  Wink
There is no clear answer to that, you will need to define what it means to be rich for you, someone that is only able to invest 1000 dollars and gets 100 times that investment will consider himself rich even if for you that is not a big amount of money, while someone that could invest 100000 dollars and only multiplied his investment two times will probably not consider himself rich.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most crypto millionaires forgot that they had crypto! on: April 16, 2018, 09:05:27 PM
This is my council to you, invest some amount which you can afford to loose completely and then just forget that you have crypto, don't care much about the current prices. Be a F* HODLER.
Most crypto millionaires were holders and they didn't even know that.
Don't try everyday to understand the market and neither try to take profit from every bounce - you'll probably give it back to the market another day.
I will leave some quotes from Jesse Livermore which I assume are great for this topic:

“After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this:  It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!”

“Remember this: When you are doing nothing, those speculators who feel they must trade day in and day out, are laying the foundation for your next venture. You will reap benefits from their mistakes.

Well, before you become a holder, I think it will be wise to at least analyze the market and find out the best crypto for them to hold.
I also not a day trader, I prefer long term investments, but I also can understand some people who prefer short term investments, they have needs to fulfill for the weekly or maybe even daily basis, so  I didn't blame them as well.
Anyway, best of luck for you all crypto believers!
It is very easy to know which coin to hold in the market of cryptocurrencies, hold bitcoin is the only coin in which I have full confidence that is not going to disappear in a year or a decade or even a longer period of time, that doesn't mean that there are not good altcoins out there but if you decide to hold for long term in an altcoin then you need to study it very carefully.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks admit they fear BTC on: April 16, 2018, 09:01:32 PM
In my opinion there's no way bank fears about bitcoin because banks are already established and people are using banks as a way of their transactions since bank are made but maybe they have a little fear because Bitcoin is very strong right now that people are already using it because it is accessible anywhere and also easy to use.
Do you really think that if they did not fear bitcoin they will try to pass regulations against bitcoin? They are afraid because bitcoin allows you to be your own bank, and you can do everything that you can do with banks with your bitcoin and even more and you can do it without paying them fees for everything, while people complain about the transaction fees of bitcoin they forget that banks charge you for everything they charge you just to have an account with them.

They fear bitcoin. Also Many big bois-giants like Google, Amazon etc are building their blockchain projects. That's why Google is banning rivals, not scams. But I expect some of ICOs will strike back and capture the market.
You are correct, not only the banks and governments fear bitcoin there are many private business that are realizing that the blockchain and bitcoin are going to change everything and the way their business work is not going to remain for a long time, you just need to look at some business that thought that they had a monopoly on the market just to go bankrupt a decade later.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: April 16, 2018, 08:41:59 PM
This is true. There are a lot of people who have worked hard their whole life and have nothing to show for it and I have met very intelligent people, some with incredible talent but they never made it and they never turned out rich, then you see people who are just starting out with no talent or brians, a slight turn of events and they end up rich with more money than they can use.
There is no way to deny that luck plays a factor when it comes to be rich, after all if it was just about working harder or to have the talent then all the people that work hard or that have talent will become rich and that is impossible, but at the same time those that were able to become rich have something else going on for them they have some kind of natural intelligence when it comes to money.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with BTC on: April 15, 2018, 02:05:28 AM
Can you buy a house with BTC? Yes! All you need is a buyer with coins and a seller that will accept them. The value of the transaction is as of the date of the contract, when the coins change hands.
That seems easy but you will need to check with your lawyers about the laws in your country because I find very unlikely that I can do that because the only legal currency that we can use in the country in which I'm living is our local currency, you cannot even use dollars to buy stuff you need to first exchange your dollars to local currency and then you can use the local currency to buy stuff.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future of crypto ? on: April 15, 2018, 01:41:21 AM
I am sure everyone over here are aware of current situation of crypto world and some have already speculated this to be the end of crypto era and says that's the reason for the dump in value of all the crypto coin ? But I think there were not much altcoins in the past and progress of bitcoin decided the value of altcoins as they pump when bitcoin pumps and dumps when bitcoin goes through a dump and I feel these market situation are temporary and bitcoin will soon be back to normal so as other altcoins.

So if you or anyone else says that this is the end of crypto era. Let me ask you few questions.
1. What era will start now then?
2. You truly believe we lived in crypto era? when it started in your opinion?

Crypto is currently so insignificant that when it will be 1000 times more important as is now, might be close to be so influential to count as a world era!!!!!
I agree with this, cryptocurrencies needs to get a lot bigger before we can say that something like an era has started, this is why I have always thought that even the people that have adopted bitcoin very recently are still part of the early adopters, not even 1% of the population uses bitcoin and until we get that percentage up bitcoin will still be very small compared to the rest of the economy.
