I guess they would like to sell chips for us to build miner even if they still haven't demonstrated serious production (lol  Cheesy).
Even so miner larger then 5Gh/s power would be something like a single chip product , and it seems to be they are not up to the task building anything larger then jalapeno or what ever its called.

If they don't know how to build it, how could we expect us to know how, when its their product!?
They will give us their board design & stuff? If they have it they would be shipping their products long time ago.
BFL will be in real trouble once Avalon starts shipping chips, and it might be game over for those who ordered any of BFL ASIC products.

To sum that offer up it looks like bull shit packed in box of horse shit, tbh.
Anyway good luck with that, after all maybe I am wrong.

Of yes, that proven design line from Josh made me chuckle.

Great!

I'm going to release the firmware and driver code once it's working. I was thinking of all that stuff to protect it but to be honest that's just is a hassle. I'm going to just trust that people will choose to support the vendors that kick back a small fee. Or even better maybe they'll mine a few hours for me by their own choice. I'll put the mine-to address out there when it's time. I'm getting a lot of help/support from forum members here and I think it's better to respect that by not having locked code at all.

Bravo for the effort and for the spirit. World surely need more people like you are.
24 hrs mining time donations would be fair thing to propose.
186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: May 31, 2013, 04:23:08 PM
As i am finishing the hardware design a question popped up i'd like some feedback on:

Would you guys like software controlled over/under-volting?
I am thinking about providing 1.1/1.2/1.3V core voltage selection.

A per-module setting with automatic overclocking by the host software would require
huge changes to the protocol i can't provide in the given time.
But a per-cluster setting with manual overclocking would sure be do-able.
And as the Firmware is user-upgradeable more enhancements could be delivered later in deployment.

I would like any solutions which will give us product as soon as possible Smiley

BFL delivered some developer samples and so far there is no mass production.

I think after all they will deliver something, but probably it will be too late for those who put all the money and hopes they had into crippled dishonest horse BFL looks like to be.

RT and Kaiser Report draw my attention to BTC first time as I can remember.
Money is for sure good motivation enough, but beside that I love the idea of decentralized currency in hand of anyone who is willing to put some effort to get it.
