It needs a gpu miner to encourage broader adoption among BTC miners who are squeezed out by ASICs. It needs retail acceptance and businesses that will accept it as a currency.

I like the site design looks clean except for the banner ads running down the sides. Nice troll box.
Take a closer look at the adds. Some are pretty funny.

The trollbox is better. It's probably the most entertaining trollbox I've seen so far.

Dear shareholders
As quoted previously, the 100% profit operation dividend reversed to outstanding shares sold will be reproduced for July 2013. This means as for June, the full profits of Crypto-trade will be reversed to outstanding shares sold, instead of the planned dividend. (Found https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security/CRYPTO-TRADE) Can someone parse that for me please.

Same prob. I went to freenode #weex and asked about it. Ukyo instantly replied: "working on it, right now, hopefully soon."

So for the miners of #2044 and #5355 please step up and give us a proof you are the miner and the name you would like to be written for the record book To look up if you are the lucky miner who mined a new world record you can go to help->debug window->console and typevalidateaddress <record_holding_address>There isn't a quicker way to do this?

This has been confirmed in an email from Professor Pande. They cant stop cygnus from releasing it anyways, obviously the smartest choice is to be ready for when he does...
We have the green light for the next stages ...
The next stages? I'm still a bit confused. Is the 'official' Curecoin going to be a coin with PoS/PoW, or just non-beta pay per F@H work unit? Great work so far by the way. I like this graph http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=224497Can anyone explain the F@H viewer to me? It's not showing anything (other than the earth city lights at night), no protein though. Bottom left corner says "Protien: Loading." Is it not showing anything since I'm only 2% into my project?

I bought the 50kpps @ .57BTC. It's been running about 1.5 hours, I can see the shares stacking up in ypool. Everything's running smooth. It looks like I won't realize a ROI on this (or even get close to roi), but I'm not worried about it. It was half a BTC to support a xpm related business (one that's doing everything right, though it does seem like xpm has outpaced the cpu).

I've wired USD into Bitstamp. Funds actually arrived into my account the next business day.
How much did it cost to wire (what service did you use)?
|
|
|
It's become a colossal pain in the ass to get USD into BTC. Your best and really only options atm are:
1 - Coinbase (but they cap you at 1 btc first week, then 10 btc first 30 days (or something like that). 2 - Dwolla - transfer money to Dwolla then try to find someone on this forum that will accept it. (do not do this without escrow).
LocalBitcoins.com is an option as well, but you'll be charged at least a 10% markup over going exchange rate.

the market cap for this operation is around 15 million!!! WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT i mean hope investors don't lose money but that is quite a valuation. it's also interesting that everyone is looking to have someone else mine on their behalf instead of getting the equipment themselves
Have you tried getting hardware? I almost got scammed out of $3k trying to buy a pre-order. You simply cannot get hardware within a profitable time frame without pooled capital. (unless you have the $$ to get a KNC Saturn/Jupiter on your own).

I'd personally like to see a coin that actively looks for large prime numbers. I believe if you can build a crypto currency with demonstrable scientific value then that coin will succeed where nearly all others have failed.

Gox would be out of their minds to release LTC before they get their USD withdraw issues sorted.

Love the picture they have a rack of singles hooked up in the background They must be "testing" that batch.

Also BFL doesn't allow you to change shipping address.

April 2013 is not an early pre-order. An April 2013 pre-order is looking at a 2014 delivery. Unless the price of BTC doubles, and holds, this is virtually worthless.

HP 5 works great, it took my athlon 1055t from 5100pps (hp4) to 5500pps (6cores ftw). That said, I haven't found anything in 3 days . Does changing the -sieve size help? If so how do I change it using the windows client? Try using a shortcut or the conf file...shortcut is easier. Or create a bat file like for cgminer: primecoin.bat primecoin-qt.exe -sievesize 2000000 That in the same folder as primecoin-qt is ought to work. Thank you, how do I check to see if that worked? I don't see a sieve value when I getinfo or getmininginfo. Edit: From the FAQ: "Q: How do I change the sieve size? A: You can either use the config file or command line parameters. Either type "sievesize=1000000" in the config file or add "-sievesize=1000000" to the command line (without the quotes). Replace 1000000 with your desired sieve size. The command line switch should be added to the command that starts the Qt wallet or the Primecoin daemon." There is no config file in appdata - roaming - primecoin, there is no config file in the qt folder either (x64 client).

I'd like to mine this a bit, but your setup instructions are pretty confusing (your average windows noob here). Could someone post an example of what the text of a solo mine argentum.conf file would look like. (.conf for cgminer would help too). Thanks. Edit: -" http://p2poolmining.org:8012/static/" fails to resolve. http://p2poolmining.org:8012 works though.
