All nice, but i think it is impossible to rate all coins other than bitcoin to be shitcoins.
Also, it's easy said.... shitcoins.
If you do, take an effort in telling wich are not shitcoins.I mean, a few months ago, everyone was wild over etherum (and many still are). Its too easy to call it a shitcoin due to bad weather on the market.

Personally; why shouldn't i set some auto-buys on ETH for a nice low low price.. Divericating my portofolio for a bargain..
I mean: its more likely for eth to do 1500 euros, as it would for Bitcoin to do 53000 euro's, right? Both doing X10 from today. Taken from this point it seems like a safe bet..

If not agree'd thats fine, but tell me why with facts, not opinions pls.

I'm a simple man.

I have a simple metric: Everything that was heavily pre-mined, insta-mined or air dropped is an automatic shitcoin.

There are other reasons I would throw a coin into that category, but this one takes care of the large majority... For example, only BTC, LTC and Monero are left from the top 10 after applying this simple rule.

It get's worse after that. Only Dogecoin is 'clean' out of the next 10...

okay, but how do you determine this?

just because of pre mining and such?
And as i recall (not sure)  doge was a coin made for fun to be used in gaming, so why wild this be an exeption? i think its only used for trading between coins? ( no harm meant, just trying to learn and understand.)

Yes, for this thread and any bitcoin thread, it is both possible and reasonable to lump all of them together as shit.  Something like this:

Also, it's easy said.... shitcoins.

Ok  get the fuck out of here, and post in an ethereum thread about your level of loves for ethereum.

Personally; why shouldn't i set some auto-buys on ETH for a nice low low price..

Do whatever the fuck you want, and go talk about it somewhere else.

Divericating my portofolio for a bargain..

Diversification is overrated, especially if you are deciding to diversify into shit.

I mean: its more likely for eth to do 1500 euros, as it would for Bitcoin to do 53000 euro's, right? Both doing X10 from today. Taken from this point it seems like a safe bet..

O.k.  Go have fun, and cash out all of your BTC and anything else that you have and place it on the All wonderful ETH...

If not agree'd thats fine, but tell me why with facts, not opinions pls.

I will tell you with a conclusion.   Go fuck off with your desire for shit coin discussions to some other thread(s).

Yes, easy said, in part because it is off topic, have you heard of that?

If you do, take an effort in telling wich are not shitcoins.I mean, a few months ago, everyone was wild over etherum (and many still are). Its too easy to call it a shitcoin due to bad weather on the market.

reading your comment i think there's only one conclusion: that pile of shit you show, must me the only thing coming from your mouth, as you seem to be full of it.

Read your comment again; you act like a disturbed teenager. A lot of useless movement of air, saying nothing, adding nothing, cursing, and only wild hitting around your devoted opinion.

pitty you use air... its a waste....
The world would be better off without people like you...

better try the sounddampening air hose, Sonoconnect. It really really makes the sound go away. You will find then though, that the pumping of the air thru the cooling fins on the chips make a hell of a noise as well, wich comes from the casing itself.

i bought my 2 kids both an gpu eth miner to educate them into crypto as it beomes their world, and i want to prepare them on their future.... Better just gave them the money they costed...

So you're mining an altcoin and you want guarantees about bitcoin's future, right?

FLMAO!! Capitulation starts!  Sorry a classic, really, but ya seriously @ dutchlincoln, hodl_2015 gave you a small gem with his post.  Pick yourself up man, or, ya know... sell and get that instant relief you're craving. Someone out there will be thankful for it  Shocked
Good luck dude, hope you're not being irresponsible with capitol needed in the short term.

Oh, i do appriciate the positive feedback of some, and i puke on the feedback of some self-acclaimed guru's with "steel balls".

Just like all newbies (yes, i know i am and i try to learn every day in order to lose that sign on my forehead) i just need some reassuring FACTS BASED info that we're still on the right track.
As some of those steel asses dont understand, is that its easy to look backward, but almost impossible to predict forward, especially with so little expirience. So what do you do? You ask. Oh, yeah, real tough talk to call it whining... C'mon, we're not at kindergarden here i thought? I share a weak moment, in order to get some good feedback, like the chart. I've been puzzling for 2 hours on it, analysing all the dots and so on.
As regards to a strategy: im holding since march this year. I bought my equipment in June 2017, exchanged some for SHA256 wich is 99% of what i own right now, and every week in december and january i sold my mined BTC to earn my equipment back. Everything i own is payd for. Everything i mine is profit (cheap power).
I DO have a strategy, but you base a strategy on what you know, and as i already said; im a newbee, so i need to adjust my strategy here and there, according to new insights i try to aquire here... Instead of hearing that i'm whining... Every now and then i'm just a bit frustrated that i see my efforts go down the drain. And not a little, but quite some. Ups and downs i can handle, as i'm in for the mid term, and a little for the long term. I dont have a thick elephant skin yet, wich makes me capable of ignoring those immense drops in value. Thats experience i still need to grow.

Chocolate-Balls...

I really dont understand. Me as a person, love to explain others if they need info or explanation on something i have knowledge of. From that point of view, if i dont know, or need info, i read, and when i cant find what im looking for, i ask. Its not a shameful thing to do. Not asking: thats stupid... never understood the fun of kicking someone into the mud...
i think it has something to do with being f**cked in childhood, and feeling the need to do the same now i guess... If those annoying types put me on a ignore: pleeeeease do. To all the others here: Thanks you for your contributions, explanations, graphs, links, charts, time, effort, etcetera. It IS being appreciated, thank you.

No, i'm merely mining bitcoin, and on a sidenote i build 2 gpu minders for diversity opposed to asics. To let them learn about crypto, i gave each a gpu miner we build together, in order to learn, follow, trade for btc, other coins, etcetera. A gpu miner is more versatile mining different coins as opposed to a asic.
That was the idea.

Besides this, i dont believe there can only survive one coin, and as eth was very promising and THE second coin, we started to mine that too.

well, as a quite newbie (10 months) in crypto, i have to admit that im losing faith right now.
I want to be a holder (yes thats how we write this right?) but what worries me is not the ups and downs itself, but the rediculous drops that happened 3 times now... This means that some people actually can control my money.... again... And i dont like it.
Who can garantee that not all bitcoin eventually evaporates?
I mine the shit out of my equipment, and all it does this year is lose value... i cant mine enough to even increase in fiat value. Thats hugely dissapointing...

Everyone has a opinion here in bitcointalk, even some experts out there. It ranges from 2k to 150k dec18. How to take anyting in between serious? I see pretty graphs, all made in a way someone thinks instead of based on facts or knowledge, calculations, etc. Whats the value of it? Zilch...
Take a look back to all those pretty graphs... I bet none came actually true...

crypto? I think ponzi more and more...

Proof me wrong, please....

Here's a bitcoin chart going back to 2010. How many crashes and bear markets have we had already?
Long term, what direction is bitcoin going in?

maybe stupid on my side, but as a not native, i dont exactly know how to read the graph/comment.
Sure, overall it goes up... But when did whales enter crypto market? How reliable are tose lines, as they get adjusted flatter and flatter...
who thought the values on the right? logharithmic scale? you can design any graph the way you want , in order you show to others what you want them to see... Makes me a critic towards graphs.

i hope it becomes reality, but :What is reality?

darn...

The ‘Crash’ is in ETH. What a shit show... Roll Eyes

INDEED... LOL....  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

now.... WHY would it be funny if others lose money?

Just because its not "your" favorite coin?

These childish ego responses start to make me sick on this board... Tongue

What is currently the best pool to point your miner to? Where are the majority of you mining at? Would love to know experience..

Thinking of giving my son a miner to gain his allowance..

I may as usual be wrong here, but wasn't there a large fail over temporarily bringing us up to 240? I am assuming that any large fail overs or pop ins, might be making up the difference for why the pool N average climbed faster than one would expect. As you know have the pop-ins grabbing a piece on the way out, and the new members still working to full ramp up.

That's of course just a guess, I'm sure Kano will drop some numbers and accurate information on us.

i thought the 5Nd was created just to prevent this?
