181  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 30, 2023, 11:14:50 AM
I hate what people allowed running a business to become. We've allowed them to turn us into slaves drowning in paperwork and red tape.
You should be allowed to run a business whenever and however you want. If the business is inefficient, losing you money, scamming customers, it's all on you. If they come at you with pitchforks, there's nothing anybody can do to defend you.

Clients should demand full transparency from a business and if there's not enough of it, they should go somewhere else. That's how free market should work. Instead the business owner has to treat every customer like a potential criminal and act like the police on behalf of the government. This has to change.
What kind of business transparency can we talk about if the majority of online casino owners are located in Curacao (an offshore zone)? Wink Bring liability or simply sue an individual/legal entity located 4 thousand kilometers from you and operating in its jurisdiction it's practically impossible.

Because of this KYC verification, many gamblers have to think a lot while selecting a gambling website. There are many gamblers who try to do various illegal activities using gambling websites, due to which other gamblers also have to do KYC verification due to this problem. It is a brutal fact that when a gambler wins huge on a gambling website, that gambling website will try their best to find any excuse to block the withdrawal of that gambler. So a gambler then has nothing to do but wait for the decision of that gambling website, because KYC verification is then forced on those gamblers.
Yes before you choose a casino to play on,  you need to have a settlement of mind before you consider them,  for instance in making the choice either to do KYC or not and this should be the determinants point of choosing the site.
Casinos have no right to not ask for customer kyc documents since they have to comply with the government rules on anti-money laundering and the rest of the laws attached to the licensing,  those that do not want to comply with kyc demands have to look else where fhat doesn't demand kyc such as decentralized casinos.
This is what I'm talking about. As long as the casino is tied to a real place - the place of registration of its operator, unfortunately, there can be no talk of any abolition of KYC/AML. Therefore, questions related to “illegal enrichment/tax concealment” will arise for the owner of such a casino. There is practically no difficulty in implementing all the popular slot machines and poker/roulette on the simplest contracts in any blockchain. This is the level of the first contracts for Solidity in the ETH network and the first “doublers”, and this is 2016.
182  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 29, 2023, 02:50:59 PM
There's what you fail to understand.... They've got T/C's and that should be Thier modus operandi..yeahh? Anything outside that isn't accountable to them... There's no casino that'll hide Thier KYC preference and remind of it when you wanna withdraw... They won't just bother you or make it compulsory at the start,...but ofcourse that gives everyone the privilege to think of boycotting their rules, that's also exactly where the problem comes...

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
Many casino sites advertise themselves as no kyc sites to attract gamblers.  But since they do business with a license they won't give you a chance to withdraw huge amount without kyc because then many people can launder thousands of crores anonymously.  But when someone does kyc, even if they do huge transactions, if any illegal activity is found, that person can be tracked according to his kyc documents.  So no one gives you complete kyc free service in gambling industry

This is a clear example of the problem of centralization. Earlier, the guys correctly noted that the casino and the company that created it are licensed and officially registered in any country. If the user violates the law, the casino may also be held liable before the law. Until there are truly decentralized casinos (similar to DEX), we will be faced with the requirement of KYC/AML.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Vs legit Altcoins in 2023 on: September 29, 2023, 08:52:59 AM

What makes the investors chose the meme coins despite of being high risk investment? It's because of the potential profit in a short period. If you're an early investor (meaning the meme coin that you invest in didn't reach its peak yet) chances to gain from it is possible. However this is, if the particular meme coin became popular and indemand for investors who are looking for quick profit. As we know many investors are still looking for a quick profit rather than to wait longer even the coins are promising (the established coins) with real use case.

Therefore, meme coins (and other new trend) will continue to exist because of investors who are buying it. The dev will continue to create such project because since it's profitable on their side.

To the above we can add the rather low cost of meme coins/tokens in relation to “classic” altcoins. A very clear example of dishonest behavior by a meme coin developer is the example of PEPE. There is an opinion that the PEPE developer artificially influences the coin rate by buying or selling large volumes of tokens through dummies. Just yesterday, one of the users purchased PEPE in the amount of 390 ETH and several other users bought over a trillion PEPE.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zksync transaction checker for those doing retroactive airdrop on: September 28, 2023, 01:44:11 PM
@cryptoaddictchie is there any news about the possible airdrop of this project. I already lost track on the development update but I still bridge once a month but never trade on DEX there since it’s to volatile for all the project right now in there.

I’m wondering if there’s still a plan for launching their own native token because it’s taking a lot of time since most of the blockchain that developed same time with them already launched their own airdrop. Are you still bridging on this L2 project?

If you mean an official ann or what is close, there are none everything is based on speculations, farmers keep farming zksync in the hope there will be future airdrop, since a native token is confirmed farmers just go with that mindset.
My advice is to continue interacting on a weekly and monthly basis, there are low-cost interaction strategies posted by some of the Twitter airdrop chads  Grin maybe you can have a look to cut some transaction costs.

Amid anticipation of the retrodrop, the number of zkSynk transactions exceeded the number of Ethereum transactions. I can say that exchanging major coins/tokens on SyncSwap is very convenient and inexpensive; trade on ZigZag, but the number of users and therefore actual transactions is still very small. The prospects for using zkSynk are enormous. Of course, other L2 projects are not sitting idle, but zkSynk is one of the first in terms of the amount of investment and support of third-party developers/users.
185  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have solved the problem of complexity in provably fair games on: September 28, 2023, 08:22:35 AM
I am not asking anybody to trust me. They don’t have to pay anything until they implement it. Something like this could be discussed.

But when you get no answer at all, for someone with my academic background, you start wondering that they might not even have read my application.

My thoughts on your question:
1. All crypto-casinos belong to real legal entities/companies that have official licenses to engage in the gambling business. Most of them are licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. For example, BetFury - owner Universe B Games B.V., Duelbits - owner Liquid Gaming N.V., Stakes - owner Medium Rare N.V. All crypto casinos have a support email.
2. Persons representing the interests of crypto casinos on the Internet (BTT and social networks) are actually SMM. Persons who present/advertise the project and do not make decisions. Every company has corporate ethics and requirements for communication with clients. Therefore, it is unlikely that anyone will write to you first. Don't forget about the scam - “Admins will never DM first!”
With that said, I believe that you should contact the support team of any of the crypto casinos and offer your services, clearly stating the concept of your offer with your contact details.
P.S. I see that you had a positive experience with Duelbits. Why don't you want to offer them your services?
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 27, 2023, 04:24:54 PM
I think school psychologists should conduct lessons in early grades on the topic of addiction to the gaming industry, but definitely not teaching material on the topic. This should be a warning about the negative consequences that can cause excessive gambling. There is no point in teaching the basics of games as it will push more towards games in my opinion.

In addition to the school (psychologist and teachers), parents should conduct explanatory conversations with the child on the topic of gambling. There must be mandatory control over the child’s finances and, of course, family funds. Parents must teach their child responsibility. Because due to age, the child does not realize this. At school, it is necessary to introduce not classes based on game theory, but the basics of statistics, and in addition to them, explanatory conversations should be held.
Because the purpose cannot be to ban everything related to games (regarding the financial component), as this can lead to the fading of the child’s interests and talents (analytics and logic).

Upd.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: September 27, 2023, 12:08:00 PM
Depends on how someone manages their time sometimes some are busy working so they don't have enough time to manage their time and money playing at several casinos, I think it can only be done for gamblers who don't have a job but have a lot of money from their business usually they can divide their time and money playing at several casinos, it is true that sometimes we can take advantage of luck at several casinos.

So in my opinion it will never be suitable for busy working people and definitely it will be difficult having more than one account which might cost you time and money although sometimes it is nice to have multiple accounts at some reputable casinos, I once heard a businessman saying that "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" seems like this saying fits what we are discussing today. Don't play at one casino while you can still play at another casino  Grin

Very well said!  Wink
Regarding multiple accounts, I can add the following: TS writes that it makes transfers between accounts in different casinos, and then withdraws the funds to its fiat bank account. In such a situation, one should not forget about the AML policy of both the casino and the bank. Hypothetically, it could happen that if you win a large amount and try to withdraw funds, the casino may have questions about the origin of the funds and the like.

I consider any hobby (in our case, playing in a casino) related to real money and requiring our active participation to be work. I remember very well how about ten years ago I played at PokerStars. You come home from work tired, want to have dinner, spend time with your family, but at the same time you know that you need to play a certain number of poker games. It doesn’t matter whether it was free rolls or real bets. All this took time.
Therefore, such games should be treated as work, a means of earning money.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: September 26, 2023, 03:06:54 PM
This research/polling is quite narrowly focused, “in itself”. It is impossible to take into account a lot of factors that influence the picture as a whole - online/offline gambling, emotional state, income level, social status, religion (as mentioned earlier), even time of day. For example, it is believed that women are more impulsive than men. However, under the influence of alcohol, a man may make more spontaneous and impulsive decisions.
You can conduct a study on the topic “Who lifts the most weight (weightlifting)” and the focus group will include 3 women Olympic champions and 3 men with various destructive muscle diseases. As a result of such a research, we received the result that “women are stronger than men” because the average indicator of a female focus group will be higher than in a male focus group.
I believe that such conclusions cannot be taken seriously.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Iron Fish on: September 26, 2023, 12:57:11 PM
So take part in the voting. If this process has begun, I think that this coin will make mining on ASICs impossible and will make mining on FPGAs not very profitable. Although it is difficult to fight against FPGAs, it is possible to make FPGAs mine more profitable coins.

The distribution model and IronFish mining algorithm are secondary, in my opinion. That being said, I mostly support GPU mining. What’s more interesting about the IronFish project is that the developers are initially trying to legalize their cryptocurrency before regulatory authorities. But on the other hand, it is not entirely clear how one can remain completely anonymous (ZKP transactions) and be legitimate for the regulator (government, etc.).
191  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: Coinlist - хайп площадка токенсейлов on: September 26, 2023, 10:39:22 AM
"ВСЕ" он уже был через год-полтора после успеха сейлов FLOW и Filecoin.

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: September 25, 2023, 03:18:22 PM
Sportsbetting definitely is much better than just casino, and if I may add, there's a statistics that College Football has the best sportsbetting winning chance, I have read an article although I can't find it but it definitely says College Football although no reason was given. Also it's much better for you to do sportsbetting on the selected sports if you really like playing the sports yourself and not just because you want to bet on it and that you've done extensive research on it.
I partly disagree with you. When playing in a casino, interaction occurs between the player (and other players in particular) and the casino (it doesn’t matter the gaming machine or the croupier). That is the player directly participates in the game process. When betting on sports, this does not happen because the player is an extra. Nothing depends on the player except choosing who to bet on; I do not consider the ability to analyze information (previous matches, game form, etc.).
You used “college football” as an example. I believe that the lower the level of professionalism, the higher the chance of match-fixing.
It was precisely this kind of fraud that the topicstarter implied with his question: direct deception, match-fixing. Cappers are evil.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: September 25, 2023, 01:56:01 PM
The name Pepe is mentioned everywhere for short trading. In this case, logging in seems very risky  Sad
A fairly low entry point (0.00000068 USDT), listing on a major exchange (Binance), chart analysis and, as you noted, widespread mentions of PEPE make the token attractive. It can also be noted that significant investments are not required to make a profit (everything is relative, of course) - scalping, for example. And in the near future even x2 is possible, IMHO.
194  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: Coinlist - хайп площадка токенсейлов on: September 25, 2023, 01:11:19 PM
CoinList , said 5 months ago: "Thank you for your patience with this issue. We're writing to let you know that we are still working on clearing the FLOW distribution issue.
We will provide updates as we have them, but please feel free to email us at any time through this ticket
."
