181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your news sources? on: April 10, 2018, 07:58:45 PM
Normally get updated through telegram, google, Bitcoin talk forum and Twitter, but one fastest way I get news is through telegram and Google.
I have been going to Youtube and Google to find out the latest about Bitcoin. Stanford university is really into the topic and has been publishing interesting articles on Bitcoin since long. Besides, there are some Bitcoin billionaires who really gives you something new to learn each time you visit their pages on Facebook or Twitter. Besides, your own experience also counts a lot and guides you in decision making.
Chrome mobile or google have its feature in mobile that news appears at start of the app related to everything we recently or we most searched, it is like a article suggestion there are updated clips , blogs and news that can be seen easily. Id always see Rappler, CCN, coindesk and local news there. It's a bit easy to keep updated in an instant.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I bought on all time high on: April 10, 2018, 07:46:54 PM
If you bought at the peak bitcoin, then there is nothing to worry about. Bitcoin will cost 100,000 green pieces of paper in the next 2 years. The same can not be said for alcoins. If you bought a little-popular altcoin, then for a price higher you will not sell it because the price of altcoins inevitably tends to zero. Better to sell now.
One should know how to read chart to know whether the coin will have a value or just in hyped at only specific time, at this time many traders just do trading without any analization thatakes them lose sometimes. We must read atleast read the coins uses and roadmaps before we buy it.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Country and Cryptos on: April 10, 2018, 03:53:59 PM
I'm curious, how big are cryptos in your country? Are they still collectively referred to as bitcoin, or do news reports and local media actually dive into their merit and the difference between coins, projects, companies etc. I'm from Canada and most of the current news is wavering between reports of malware installing mining agents and the Canadian Security Exchange cracking down on ICO sales.
in my country, bitcoin became popular due to demand it gets last december, but now, its slowly decreasing because of some false information about it. bitcoin is also used to scam people, because of that, the investors who came just because of its hype quits immediately.
This scenerario where seems to happen all over the countries who accepted it last year, crypto gets too many attention now that it gets different opinions from experts and self-proclaim experts. We must take into consideration now the proper analysation in determining where to put our investments.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should have sell my altcoins when it was towering at the market. on: April 09, 2018, 11:50:10 PM
should have sell my altcoins when it was towering in the market. i need money now but all my altcoins and tokens are in dip low. should i sell it in now or wait for the market to bounce back?
Try to classify your coin status, try to double check their progress does their team still working out to improve the project or it was already considered as shitcoins then you can sell them now, determine it now for it might not survive when crypto such as BTC and ETh recovers, some coins may really be left behind and forgotten.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Survival on: April 09, 2018, 06:06:45 PM
In my opinion, there is no reason to waste a smart and effective technology. It is being exploited and utilized to contribute to the development of the economy and society. Businesses and manufacturing companies are benefiting from blockchain and crypto. It shows the efficiency of management and convenience to save time. The crypto market will continue to grow and develop with more practical gadgets in the future.

Decent project team has been goes with the blockchain play store idea in the market already and they are into make the project reaches all the people. So we are find the technology related projects from the past months. After this, Arizona government encourages the blockchain application to be used widely and next to them Foxconn has been planned to launch the new phones with the blockchain integration mate.
So my view is we will find the bitcoin price bumped bigger in the market no need to worry about it at all.
This downtrend is temporary, we can definitely see a much better month ahead for crypto since fuds just stop, it just happens that many were not yet that convince in crypto that's why in every news that throws at crypto they do the selling and leaves it. Once it recovers we can see a much normal price increase.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you agree? on: April 09, 2018, 05:51:54 PM
According to CCN, Bitcoin prices will probably climb after April 17, when Tax Day in the United States is over. That’s what Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee, a noted bitcoin bull, predicts.

If this is true then. Better buy some bitcoins now as long as is it low. Goodluck guys !

Source: @cryptomeren

This is possible and it makes sense. Most people are withdrawing their cryptos to avoid getting taxed on their income. So, we can expect this investors to buy back once April 2017 or the Tax Day in U.S. is over. Let's just see and wait what will happen, we still have a week before the Tax Day is over.
Will see then, I also avoid having tax too much that's why I prefer to hold more my cyptos in my wallets than to save it bank or convert into fiat, Cashing out little by little to not feel that big taxes will be a good thing to those whose planning to sell their coins as well if they can see a p2p transactions to avoid big taxes. Anyway, the market will move so there's nothing to worry about now.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin might be like IBM on: April 09, 2018, 05:28:19 PM
am i the only who is worried that bitcoin might be like IBM we have seen it before one product controls a market then a competitor comes in and the previous king is left in the dust
ERA of IBM came to an end since the launching of new companies  in the market. People started to purchase other products rather than IBM. But no one can still replace bitcoin. I believe bitcoin will up again we have to wait and hold our bitcoins. Always think positive for bitcoin. It will survive for sure.

IBM is somehow like of blockchain in terms in technology but with no company related in it. Since IBM is a technolgy based it is necessary to fall due to more advance tech like blockchain, cryptos being a transaction medium like bitcoin still have a long way to prove its identity with the help of blockchain since bitcoin beng the primary crypto can still be used by more companies or products.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bountyhunters, be careful with twitter accounts on: April 09, 2018, 03:45:54 PM
I am curious, their business is based to sell advestising, so, they dont need the money? Do Ico illegal as a drugs, porn or any antisocial shit? So imo it is not a main reason in general, but i have no answer for now sadly.
Banning in social media of ICO, is to help the investors to think more on where to invest. Facebook and Twitter don't want to pursue too much advertising since there are ICO good on advertising and they dot want to be misinterpreted that they are supporting such ico that in the end will just scam their investors. We should at least be careful too on what project we use ou twitter account to avoid blocking, don't overuse your Twitter account few campaigns might be enough.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Asia on: April 09, 2018, 03:40:32 PM
How common is Bitcoin in Asia? Just want to know Huh
In the news I have read, I can say that bitcoin has a widely range in Asia. Though a lot of countries that banned bitcoin, many countries will open the opportunities for bitcoin such as Japan. I think also that in my country, bitcoin reaches in different regions nationwide. In my viewpoint, bitcoin dominates in Asia.
Japan, Singapore, and South Korea already have regulations and rules of implementation regarding crypto, Singapore and Japan have known in the application of advanced technology already experimenting the benefits it can make in their country. Though there are one statistics yet that proves the population of crypto users in different countries, maybe this forum and news can give us an idea on their percentage.
190  Economy / Economics / Re: China tells people to buy gold & silver on: April 09, 2018, 03:30:15 PM
In my opinion. the possibility of the Chinese government is shifting the focus of the investors to prefer gold or silver to be used as an investment tool. and reduce investment in the form of digital currency. so it will be more profitable for a more real and targeted Chinese economy to get definite results.
They have at least control in the gold and silver investment that they can put a tax on their people as well used in in the growing circulation of their market, they see crypto somehow threatening their industry since its decentralized and the profit goes not only within their limit but its worldwide.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bountyhive scam on: April 03, 2018, 12:48:22 PM
For the record:

The OP of the bountyhive thread, ColorlessK, logs on daily to post new ICO scams but ignores any & all questions from suckers participants of his scams. This is exactly what nixoid done for Ambisafe organized scam ICO's & is probably the same person - Andrey Zamovsky (aka nixoid, ColorlessK, FintechEU, etc, etc)

Bountyhive is an exact clone of Ambisafe by the same group of scammers - you have been warned.

DO NOT INVEST IN ANY ICO RUN BY BLOCKHIVE/AMBISAFE - IT'S A SCAM - BEWARE!!!!

I have no idea if all the projects are scams as I had invested in one earlier and the business is still running but ever since they made BOUNTYHIVE I have made many videos and my wife did videos and blog reviews and we did not get counted and we have never had this problem before. Rarely have any of my videos been rejected, IF EVER, and I was very disappointed with the results. I have a feeling they pay certain people that they like, but the rest of us get the boot. Too many people complaining now about this bounty platform.
They are simply manipulating all the bounty records. All automated bounty website are all fraud just like 0xbounty. They are not paying right amount of token that participants deserves. They are paying in a small rate even though they have allocated budget because they keep on their pocket the remaining tokens. A friendly advice, Don't ever join on Bounty Program that run by a team of bounty management service. They are cutting the actual bounty and keep it in their pocket. Tokensuites & Amazix can be add on this thread. They are all fraud. It's better to join on bounty campaign that run by trusted member here.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌐[ANN] MEMBRANA - TRUST MANAGEMENT OF DIGITAL ASSETS🌐 on: April 03, 2018, 12:39:03 PM
This ANN thread are already in my watch list. You are maybe using some Bump thread service so that your ANN thread will be updated. There are bunch of low rank member here that bumping and having some repeatedly discussion. I suggest to avoid this kind of service or your project reputation will supper once a Mod prove that you are using shady service.
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling is not a bad thing. on: April 03, 2018, 12:19:24 PM
I always believe that the current decline in value is only temporary, so I keep my bitcoin. I think it's time we bought a lot of coins for investment.

You are right and everyone here believes in this except newbie traders that already flip their BTC. Buy high and sell low is their motto. BTC price are already showing sign of aggressive market after south korean release a tax plan for cryptocurrencies. This is a sign that their Government are willing to support cryptocurrencies.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 03, 2018, 12:16:46 PM
I recently discover this sleeping giant coin and I bought some in exchange. I'm planning now to mine some coin using my Nvidia GPU GTX1070 , I'm confused on choosing the right miner and pool to join since there is so many option. Any recommendations here base on your own experience?
195  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet not showing funds on: April 03, 2018, 12:13:04 PM
OP, I think the problem could be from the electrum wallet if you didnot provided the wrong address as your receive address because you're not the first person to have this issue, someone also complained about not receiving his/her bitcoin acouple of days either https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1841106.0

I found a recommendation in that topic, which recommended trying different networks. I think ultimately I was connected to an out-of-date server that I had drawn weeks ago when I first downloaded Electrum wallet. When I toggled the auto-connect off and restarted I was paired up with a fresh server upon turning auto-connect back on.

Here are the exact steps I followed to get a resolution:
1. Go to network, and de-selected the automatically connect to network.
2. Force quit Electrum
3. Restart Electrum
4. Go to network, re-select automatically connect to network.

After that, the transaction posted immediately. Thanks

Hahaha. I thought so since there is no transaction history appearing in your electrum wallet. Hmmm but do you have any idea how this occur? I never encounter this kind of network connection failure. Can you please post here the link to the thread on where do you get that guide? Thank you
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee reveals he charges $105,000 per promotional cryptocurrency tweet on: April 03, 2018, 12:07:04 PM
Comes to show that he really just wants that money. But now that they publicized the promotion service and the price though, people will know that McAfee really doesn't necessarily like those coins that he's shilling, but he's shilling them because of the service he's providing.

He is a money hungry slut, that's for sure, but this story stinks big time. He has been Tweeting about utter shitcoins that people could pump themselves with that amount of money and Bitcoins. I think this is nothing more than another attempt to distract the attention away from him personally. He was showered with negativity for recommending utter shitcoins, then he claimed his Twitter account got compromised and hackers Tweeted about these coins, and now this again. He is a manipulative, pathetic billionaire, eccentric old man. I see people some time say that he's good for Bitcoin, lol. Good because the keeps throwing with nonsense predictions, and that he's going to eat his genitals on TV? Oh, please. Roll Eyes

This is normal since John is really a famous guy even though he is not involved in crypto. His promotion rate are worth it since many people are always visiting on his social media account. This is just like a popular artist hired in a promotional video. Even though their brand that they are promoting is shit, they are still paid off by huge money. Business is business mate.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about stablecoins and price volatility? on: April 03, 2018, 01:15:09 AM
Very few coins were stable from its existence. These can be used as an asset for backing of traditional fiat, because there are people who fear of keep holding their hard earnings into the banking. These coins won't be helping in the profiting through trading and other means of opportunities.

USD Tether I know that stable coin but this coin is not certified legit and might run in the future because they have no proof of funds in the bank that backed their token. Just a pure hearsay from their announcement. I remember last time that USDT has an issue on SEC because they can't provide proof of funds. If I remember correctly, There are some tokens that burned on Bitfinex.
198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ethereum light wallets on: April 02, 2018, 12:38:06 PM
I've used MEW - but they have a warning about phishing attempts and people losing their private keys.  I got a Ledger and have been very pleased.  I use it with MEW, and it requires you to physically hold it to spend.  As long as it is not lost, a hardware wallet is probably the most safe way to hold and move crypto.  Was reading something by Mike Belshe from BitGo (a crypto security trust company) and one of the tools they use is a ledger for whales.
I agree that hardware wallet is the most safe wallet since your private can not be copy even if you login in the phishing website. The private is intact to the hardware wallet itself. I'm using trezor since last year and I never heard lite wallet on ETH.

Hello, Do you participate in some bounty program like social media bounty or you fill up any airdrop form which has an available public spreadsheet for viewing. If you fulfill this. Then you might sign message using that ETH address on Ether scan and I believe that it is equivalent to bitcoin sign message.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency should I buy for USD 1000? on: April 02, 2018, 12:30:39 PM
I think you should buy the major currencies and a few altcoins in order to some sort of altcoin brought you a lot of profit and major currencies for a long time investment  Wink

I'm interested on what is the definition of major currency for you compares to Altcoin? All cryptocurrencies besides bitcoin is what we called Altcoins since Bitcoin is our major currency here.

Answering the best crypto to purchase by 1000USD. This is  a case to case basis what is your preferred type of investment. Long term or short term? If long term then pick the top 10 currency on CMC but if short term then buy on a promising ICO then dump once exchange available.
