True freedoms come with responsibilities.

True, we have to use our freedoms wisely or risk losing them through abuse.

Google is not much of a monopoly when it comes to information though as China with its billions of people do not use Google for information and research.

182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The FED's game - for newbies on: December 15, 2018, 08:55:29 PM
Fiat money unbacked by anything and under the full regulation of Federal Reserve, it can be easily corrupted especially when greed comes into play. This is why people diversify their savings and wealth in many investment instruments : gold, land, precious metals, stocks, bonds, crypto etc Cash is not a good value growing asset, its most attractive value is in its liquidity.
183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think countries should leave the EU? on: December 15, 2018, 08:39:41 PM
The European Union commission do not have power to create any law, they can only create regulations, and these are also specific to those treaties that have already been signed.

184  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the WORST movie you have ever seen? on: December 15, 2018, 08:23:52 PM
in my opinion The Mummy is the worst
but Apart from the appearance of Sofia Boutella who is 'wow' and really magical as a mummy of women and feminists, still overall, this film is considered unable to compete with Mummy films before.

The Mummy by Brendan Fraiser, that was probably the best in my opinion
185  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Shopping on: December 15, 2018, 08:22:33 PM
I usually prefer online shopping for things that are not like clothes or personal items, more for things that are non-custom like furniture or games
186  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favorite books ? on: December 15, 2018, 05:44:52 PM
Suspense and who-dun-its (like from Donald J. Sobol) , comedy theme books (like from Dave Barry), these are all good for me.
187  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is more wicked? God or Satan on: December 15, 2018, 05:40:39 PM
According to my understanding, God didn't kill a human life. We chose to do evil and rebel, so death was a result of this original evil.
If I ask an atheist how many did God kill, atheist would say "0" because they don't believe in God.

first week this should be practiced to create a cocoon, believers call it "the sacred place", after you will begin to experience bliss, not to move the bed and a chair, otherwise you'll have to create a new cocoon for another week. Well and negative emotions can not be allowed on the place of the cocoon, they destroy the cocoon. Imagine how you filled with happiness on the inhale and on the exhale direct it to create a cocoon

Thank you for the tip!

To figure out all the technical problems with going to the stars, and increasing life span to life long enough to get there.

Cool

Like live how many years, it is really possible that humans can live to 900+ years like in the bible, that might even result in overpopulation
190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Proof that God exists on: December 15, 2018, 04:27:48 PM
We have found nothing in the universe that could cause the universe.

Cool

I was wondering about this. I think this is a crucial element in BB theory that needs focusing. I read about scalar fields, false vacuums, energy densities but there was supposed to be absolutely nothing.

No space, no time, no energy, nothing.
191  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: December 15, 2018, 04:22:24 PM
Funny thing is this heliocentric bullshit model was introduced by free masons in 15th century before which everyone in the world knew about geocentric flat earth.

That's an odd opinion.  Obviously you have no facts to back it up.  :/

Maybe that info was from this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradigm_shift

Natural sciences
Some of the "classical cases" of Kuhnian paradigm shifts in science are:

1543 – The transition in cosmology from a Ptolemaic cosmology to a Copernican one.[7]
1543 – The acceptance of the work of Andreas Vesalius, whose work De humani corporis fabrica corrected the numerous errors in the previously-held system created by Galen.[8]
1687 – The transition in mechanics from Aristotelian mechanics to classical mechanics.[9]
1783 – The acceptance of Lavoisier's theory of chemical reactions and combustion in place of phlogiston theory, known as the chemical revolution.[10][11]
The transition in optics from geometrical optics to physical optics with Augustin-Jean Fresnel's wave theory.[12]
1826 – The discovery of hyperbolic geometry.[13]
1859 – The revolution in evolution from goal-directed change to Charles Darwin's natural selection.[14]
1880 - The germ theory of disease began overtaking Galen's miasma theory.
1905 – The development of quantum mechanics, which replaced classical mechanics at microscopic scales.[15]
1887 to 1905 – The transition from the luminiferous aether present in space to electromagnetic radiation in spacetime.[16]
1919 – The transition between the worldview of Newtonian gravity and the Einsteinian General Relativity.

This is one big giant step for cryptocurrency. Who would imagine this is possible

I know, it is amazing, cryptocurrency could be used to clean up the sport as well as the Italian football federation has suffered a reputation hit in 2006 for referee corruption. It is a good step in the right direction overall.
193  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 15, 2018, 04:02:59 PM

While there are all kinds of things that CAN'T be proven, there are some that can be, and there are some that leave one with a sense of pain even though proving them is not particularly easy.

The Bible and Christianity makes sense.

Cool

Irreducibly complex

It is hard (and boring) to focus on breathe in and breathe out

But it must be mastered for peace and happiness

Yes, our mind and body are made of chemicals so we do not actually need to abuse any external substance to achieve happiness.
195  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you believe God exists? on: December 15, 2018, 11:25:39 AM

Drugs are also attractive, but they cause addiction and withdrawal in case of stopping

Maya comes in all shapes and forms from the most addictive drugs, alcohol, and delicious food to the greed for power and money, lust for sex, personal pride; ie everything that grabs attention and causes us to forget about the most important thing in life
196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you believe God exists? on: December 15, 2018, 10:28:22 AM
Maya wants so much, she always prevents the restoration of Brahma, so as not to lose a control. But you can independ of her power, if you follow your thoughts and mood. You are the same Creator, the main thing is not to succumb to hypnosis

It is difficult because Maya makes the world attractive, interesting, and lures us to engage with her. She wants us to forget about our breathing.
197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 15, 2018, 12:58:23 AM
Astargath

You are right, the word "God" begs the question just as much as super intelligent aliens, people invent this word to represent the concept of First Creator. Other languages use a different word for the same concept.

Whether they know God or not is a matter of experience. For people who have experienced God, they know God exists. For people who have never experienced God, they don't believe the testimonies of people who have.

This is my understanding.

...

The complexity and order of the universe machine shows that God exists.

Cool

Emergence and evolution are natural processes. The universe is nothing but orderly.  More like a set of wild explosions and decay.
Energy is converted from one form to another.

There is no predefined logic in it.  No design.  No God.

Atoms in your body came from the supernova explosion somewhere in the universe and will be drawn to Sun one day, then thrown into space again once the Sun explodes as a supernova.  They might become atoms in some alien lifeform that will evolve (has evolved) somewhere else in the universe.

Consider an exploding hydrogen bomb. It is wild, untamable, twistingly torturously torrentuous. No scientist can track even one of the particles or energy waves as they travel about in that humongous mass of pandemonium. But... the scientists figured out ahead of time, on paper, using math, just what would be going on in that cascading hell.

Everything from great to small precisely follows the laws of physics. All of nature operates and exists exactly perfectly according to all the laws of physics. There is nothing wild in the universe that doesn't precisely and exactly follow every last law of physics. There is only weakling man who can't track all but the simplest and easiest of what goes on in the laws of physics.

Cool

Very true BADecker.

I'm sure af_newbie agrees that the laws of physics are orderly, I think what he was talking about was how our universe came about. In his belief, the galaxies, stars, and planets etc came from big bang (no order), life came from primordial soup via abiogenesis (no order), he wasn't referring to laws of physics.

All the information inside each of us, just locked thoughts, to unlock enough to remove any thoughts except the joy of breathing

I'm doing my best not to laugh so hard, this guy is hilarious! XD
You don't believe in God but you believe in aliens (that also evolve).

He is so smart he can tweak the words around to say something can be created out of nothing, he defies the science laws that establish that non-living matter cant produce anything with life. Your science is wrong, science doesn't contradict science, your facts are just a bunch of fallacies.

I did not say anything funny.

The possibility of an alien life is not zero, unlike Zeus (or any other 3000+ Gods).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation

Nice straw man BTW.
What has to be done to get you to understand that making calculations and experimentation on fallacies don't make them less fallacious? Has he evidence there are aliens out there? Has he observed one, have you? Has he done any real tests rather than just making assumptions of the possibility of aliens based on the amount of galaxies, stars and whatever he wants to quote? Thanks for the compliment, I know my words tend to make a lot of sense.

To be fair, it is straw man as af_newbie pointed out.
