Really, I do not think adding this latest merchant (mentioned 3 posts above) is helpful to the Guldencoin cause and future.
Or maybe I am wrong and have been expecting too much of Guldencoin. Anyway, I still hope NLG will become a serious digital currency used in the Dutch economy.
Guldencoin being associated with merchants that have sh.. in their brandname, will not do any good for NLG being taken seriously.

To clarify, I do realize that there were a handful of people that eventually agreed that an IP ban might be worth at least trying. However, when I first brought it up, the idea was shunned because it was too "centralized". 75% of the blocks being mined by a pool that will never use them, only sell them, is too centralized. 3 months have passed with this going on now. While the coin is still working on a day to day basis, this is getting old. I will let people know that my team has already been working on algorithm changes. In fact, we have been running tests against a testnet for a week or so, gathering data and tweaking numbers. We're looking forward to testing against the simulator, but if clever proves overbearing in the coming week/s, we'll be ready to provide our findings on at least one solution to the community. is there any news about the simulator yet, will it be up and running this week?
Another 2 months or so, but with all these other updates coming in the last week the simulator has taken a back step in focus and also litesires idea of keeping the buys under 400 is working until the algorithm change takes place. So Kudos to the community and users for listening to that advice from litesire. Please stop with your fud man it's getting boring! |

I believe in the future of cryptocurrency and of all the altcoins Guldencoin is one of the best,
that's the reason we decided to accept it at VerspA.
For me it becomes time that more serious webshops arise at the horizon. With only a few products to choose from, it is no serious candidate for me to do shopping. But anyway, it is good to see new starters  You can also try to get new merchants in that sell products of your choice |

Thanks, mate... it's my baby. I've been waiting almost a month or so to get my hands on these. I feel it was well worth it. I need to work out logistics with someone in EU, as I am in the US and I would rather not have to individually ship 250 packages. The first 20-25 coins are going to the dev team, my team, and some special community members. The hologram stickers hit my office on Wednesday. I want to make three points about the idea of price manipulation to combat our problems right now:
First- price manipulation will never work properly. There are too many variables, and too much outside influence on possible outcomes.
Second- people were opposed to IP banning a single pool because it was too "centralized", but they aren't opposed to price regulation similar to what governments do? I'm lost in the rational behind that reasoning.
Lastly- I, and I'm damn sure a lot of other business minded NLG holders, won't sell NLG at lower prices to fund projects for NLG. There are a ton of project ideas I have for this coin, but I'm not selling out large portions of my wallet to make them happen. I took fiat loans from family members to fund my current project because of the low NLG and BTC trading prices. It's bad business, but I had to do it. The price needs to go up. If we can let that happen naturally by eliminating the 50% daily insta-sell, I think we'd be seeing a lot more community involvement.
