I like how MOST (not all but most) of the Amber dividend voters that post on here are newbie accounts with about the same level of English proficiency as the Dev.
While it's not entirely broken, there's just enough mistakes to make it obvious English is not their first language. I'm not saying anything but sock puppet accounts are a well known occurrence on these forums.......

Lets hope not but if historical precedence is of any value it is not only possible but likely. Like I said I am completely behind TX I am staking and will be setting up a master node soon but I am also just trying to inform people of the POSSIBILITY of a massive correction in price so they aren't taken by surprise and do what I have seen so many others do which is amplify price corrections by dumping into them. we will see what happens and I hope I am wrong but I am trying to help stop a mass sell off before it even has a chance to begin. |

Oh, you would not be so negative set  TX has great potential, and in this day and age where most coins are typical scam, TX is a unique gem ! Yes it does and I have the utmost faith in Inferno, the problem is I KNOW that a correction will occur and when it does everyone in here screaming "TX to 100k omergherd!!!" is going to be the exact same people that scream "PRICE WENT DOWN TX IS DEAD!!!" while dumping their TX on the market perpetuating the downward movement when it does come. I'm just trying to educate these n00bs before its too late but obviously my hard earned knowledge of alt-coin market economics is being ignored for the infinitely more palatable but ultimately self destructive "TX TO DA MOOOOOOON!" mentality |

for right now in the crypto world,the best coins is which coin that can survive and the way the Dev is fucking everyone with these ambercoin dividends I don't foresee Amber lasting long. What kind of company alienates such a huge percentage of their shareholders and survives? Not to mention completely ignores it's self-mandated business practices and changes dividends whenever it sees fit, not to mention delaying them..... |

Guys, I am reading several last pages and see that most of you use a little bit short-sighted approach. For company I am small investor but most of you would call me a "whale".  I see that you can't even understand why some of those whom you call whales chooses AMBER option. When the option to get paid in Amber was available I was in vacation So I missed that train. And now is the second chance. There is no chanse to get cheap shares from company. So there are only 2 sources left - miners and other shareholders.  And both sell their shares on exchanges. To sell now is the best way to fix looses. But if you want to earn then my advice is to hold a little bit longer. Even if you don't want to stay a shareholder any more you'll at least gain some profit. I just have even more to say - I know a guy who has more than 100k shares but is not even a shareholder! He has bought them from exchange and holds them to sell when the price will rise enough. He doesn't care about dividends at all. And as far as I know he's going to sell them offline at price close to which company sells (now ~$0.10). I can be wrong but I think that future profit from increasing share's value will beat the profit from dividends. But in past dividends were sweet - I've invested $10k at the very beginning and ~$5.5k got back as Q1 and Q2 dividends. So I can understand those who votes for BTC. P.S. My ID is 14. And my vote is AMBER. I don't know if AMBER or BTC payout wins but I hope my post will help to understand another point of view. Obviously YOU don't understand......look at the price and volume of AMBER...it's a hairs breadth away from being dead......and how exactly are people supposed to " profit from this great opportunity" by getting paid in a worthless coin they can't sell. It's simple all of the delays and all of the BS make everyone think the Dev is scamming. Getting paid in a worthless alt instead of BTC AS PROMISED only reinforces that. If BTC doesn't get paid out by Q1 2016 (my first eligible Dividend payout) I'm out of this bitch. |

Check your PMs brother I sent you my .conf config that gets 16 connections plus instructions on how to setup a .conf file EDIT: If that still doesn't work or if you still have trouble we can get on skype and I can send you my actual conf file directly to drop into your username/roaming/appdata/AmberCoin folder, that is if I am still awake, which I should be for 3-4 more hours |

EDIT: aaah, thanks google.. "In This Thread" Hell I'm old and senile and even I knew what it meant.  I did dig out this Tremendous Treasure from yesterday. Hey socal are you listening? Is that the poker socal? So many questions regarding mining, supported miners, etc. and still no clarification. After all, this is a POW + POS currency, therefore mining should be well covered. Not good.
This has been stated earlier in the thread, but the miner is a fork of an older version of cgminer with a rewritten kernel. It has been built for both AMD and NVIDIA cards, but it is likely that an optimized miner for NVIDIA cards will take a little finesse and a fork of ccminer. Testnet and miner binaries, alongside miner specifications will be released one week prior to the launch of mainnet. This is done in an effort to not produce mining information in all kinds of different ways across different platforms and to keep the process as fair as possible for everyone. The same information will be released to everyone in the same way. The focus right now is to get through the airdrop process and get that sorted for all the participants. Once that is done, the focus will shift toward the aforementioned binaries for testing and mining - which will then receive priority attention.
