But the biggest mistake op made was storing his password in plain text doesn't matter where its stored on an offline computer or on a cloud you should never have your wallet passwords stored in plain text. Tips for other users: use password safe http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ or keepassx http://www.keepassx.org/ -where passwords are stored in an encrypted database.

The RMB is definitely going to be the next reserve currency and this might happen sooner than we think. The Chinese have heavily invested in the African continent and this will be on of the factors getting it there.

Couldn't the thief just launder the coins bit by bit and get away with it scot-free?
For example: You could just trade some of them for another virtual currency on some random exchange, and then convert what you bought back into BTC, and voila, clean bitcoins. Or use a laundering service. It seems really easy to get around if you're smart? Which obviously this person is to have been able to steal them in the first place. I am just looking at it realistically.
I DO hope that you get them back. This person is a criminal and deserves to be caught.
Congratulations, if the thief is reading this topic and didn't come to that, then you have just helped him Its only a matter of time when the thief finds a good mixing service and from there it will be next to impossible finding the culprit Anyway hope you find him/her/them and get back your coins. Why mixing provider will clean them for some bitcoins if he can earn 500 btc by returning those stolen coins. If the thief is smart he wont send all the coins at once to the mixing service but in parts *Cough cough* you guys shouldn't post ideas or plans if you want to catch him.
Let me shut up now

I just saw Yakamoto's speedsheet and paid to everyone. Please check I think payout question already solved. Thanks to Yakamoto for help with managing campaign. Thanks patience with payment delays. Thanks to community for promotion. In BTC we trust Looks like you forgot about me, i didn't get my payment for the posts made from 1st July to 8th July validium 218 233 15 N/A 15 Member 0.0007 0.0105 19pLroeZ13YioqA7TXcv2di4QaK2nCa7zx https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w002SE7zoqB3Hu-Z2MXcNcmiPkrPzFiV1OLPA7NysZ0/edit?usp=sharingI gonna fix it, don't worry. Wow this is great detail and service by OP. Seriously there are a million complaints still over at updown even though he says he paid everyone and it's for way more than .01 BTC. Nice job OP. Yes, it's wonderful that it looks like a happy ending for all here. Too bad about the disorganization during the campaign, still good to see it all come out ok in the end. So, valadium, will you report back when you receive your final payment? I received a pm saying that he's gonna fix it today, so i guess i will have to wait.

For some reason everytime I see Brock's name I think of Phineaus Gage. I guess this forum just needs some drama sometimes, especially when news has been slow and people need something to talk about.

Hi everybody. My wallet has not enough BTC for payouts, therefore I just paid to thespacepilot and zolace.
I bought some BTC for payots. Tomorrow all payouts will done. Please, keep a calm.
Finally, can you guarantee that everyone will be paid and at what time? Suggestion, why don't you hire someone to take care of the payment process, this would really make this campaign easier for you and you would have more time to focus on other things

http://rt.com/op-edge/171144-dollar-reserve-currency-usa/RT: Why are European countries so economically dependent on the States?
PS: They are not. I think it is the other way around - the US is very dependent on the rest of the world. It is just incumbent on the rest of the world to figure that out. But the US dollar is still functioning as a reserve currency, so the dollar is a part of larger transactions but there is no reason for the dollar to be at the center of these transactions because the dollar shouldn’t be a reserve currency. Maybe at one time when we were the world’s largest exporter, as far as biggest trade surpluses, we had high savings rates, and the dollar was backed by gold. [At] one time maybe the dollar deserved to be a reserve currency, but certainly those conditions have changed dramatically. The US does not share any of the characteristics it had when the dollar became a reserve currency. It is just a matter of time before it no longer functions as a reserve currency. And the more we antagonize the rest of the world with spying or with these huge fines on foreign banks, the quicker this process is going to be unraveled.
Your thoughts?
