181  Economy / Economics / Re: How would the ecosystem change if the fees came back to the user after 1 year? on: October 26, 2021, 10:06:04 PM
If those coins are going to give you back, it could be some dusty input, which could cost you more than it's worth...And a few more. While using bitcoin, for privacy, you should not reuse addresses. however it is realistic to think that people only mine to secure the network knowing the amount of electricity and Bitcoin mining hardware required. but I really like such fees going into some kind of decentralized liquidity fund to control the money supply with a predefined rule that maintains the scarcity or anti-inflation feature of the currency. And it becomes more valuable than we think because whatever is scarce it becomes worthless.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: October 26, 2021, 05:17:27 PM
I agree that Solana is a very promising altcoin, but I'm not sure if it's a good time to buy now. Before investing in a relatively obscure project like Solana, we need to find out. Get more information about their long-term development plans. features and long-term directions of that project but if you sell ETH and BTC to invest all and SOL then I think it is a mistake, should only split the portfolio if you have 100% only invest in 30% of each coin because it is all risky and it is impossible to determine whether the price will increase or decrease in the future so it is advisable to only split investments into coins that you feel have potential.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining vs Holding on: October 25, 2021, 11:28:19 PM
If you buy BTC then You need time and patience to pay off the cost of your mining equipment to start making a profit. But if just buy bitcoin and it goes up 2%, you made a profit minus any fees you may have to pay. Not to mention that mining equipment is not easy to find and manufacturers cannot produce enough to meet the demand. failure of machinery and equipment will cause you difficulties, not to mention faulty software. so best i will choose to invest mined amount in buying BTC.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most performing altcoin for October on: October 25, 2021, 11:20:34 PM
This month of October has started on a very remarkable note for the entire cryptocurrency market with ethereum almost recovering back to $4500 and Bitcoin seating above $51k price which is a good sign that October is going to be a remarkable month in the prices of most crypto coins, I will like to see your predictions on altcoins market for October which altcoin do you have faith in and what are the indices that will make that happen?
When it comes to altcoins that's probably the case, where the ones that performed well before the market turned bearish, such as near, SOL, ADA, Chng, banano, and finally the Shib Inu meme. because these are really generating good performance in the market where even now they are showing good signs and you know, in my opinion most of them seem to be based on Bitcoin growth rate. there are a lot of good coins but here are some ideas that i would like to recommend you.

186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stablecoin is the most Trustworthy? on: October 20, 2021, 04:23:28 PM
Lets say for example that the auditors/regulators has found that USDT Tether has printed tokens out of thin air that are not backed by the fiat $dollars, from there what will happen to USDT on the basis of this news?:
- Is it possible for a stablecoin to crash to 0?
I think anything can happen

- Will centralised exchanges start delisting USDT in light of this news?

This is very unlikely because USDT is one of the popular coins used and traded by many people, they benefit from major withdrawals so I think this is not. And I think stable coin is one of the important coins to trade in the market. Can't cancel if canceled, it's hard for us to have better similar options.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interest on Bitcoin on: October 19, 2021, 09:46:43 PM
Wondering how many of you earn interest on your Bitcoin?

Do you feel this is risky, whoever owns the private key owns the BTC ?

Also any resources for a high interest rate I think around 6% is the highest, these are some I have seen Liquity, Blockbank, Voyager, Nexo

thanks!
Every investment is risky and I see any investment in anything you have to risk including BTC, the most important thing we need to take care of is keeping our keys or passphrases right. way, if someone gets your wallet code or seed, of course they will get what you have in that wallet. that's why be careful and take notes somewhere no one can see.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estonia on a road to possibly revoke most crypto licenses issued in the country on: October 18, 2021, 11:46:10 AM
This might be a bit niche as a topic, but it might be of interest to some. In short the head of money laundering bureau in Estonia has gone to media with the suggestion to either revoke or review all crypto licenses issued in the country. For context Estonia houses about 400 companies that own crypto license.

As of right now it is merely an idea but one which is held by a head of a powerful organization in the country. It is also published during a time when Estonian government is trying to pass a law which makes it harder for companies to recieve a crypto license.

For anyone interested here is the link to the article: https://ekspress.delfi.ee/artikkel/94821441/pauk-kruptoarile-rahapesu-andmeburoo-juht-soovib-tuhistada-koik-tegevusload-sest-eestit-varitseb-oht. The arcticle is in Estonian and behind a paywall but for anyone interested I can translate parts of it if needed.
As far as I know Estonia is one of the countries that got involved in cryptocurrency early on. It is important that the country has prioritized adoption for the use of blockchain. The government regulatory infrastructure is also combined with blockchain technology these are bold moves by Estonia. Moreover, Estonia is also a crypto-friendly country as it allows companies to make money. easily register to use and receive a license in a very short period of time, quickly and conveniently. Also we can't forget to mention Singapore, which is also one of the countries that I know they are very crypto-friendly.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Network Security and Weakness on: October 18, 2021, 11:42:07 AM
My major concerns are what happens in case of inflation bug 2010 or 2018 happened and not so benevolent dev found it and used it selfish and rogue?

Let's say it's not just 1 dev maybe nation-state rogue devs or black op black hat hackers what do you think about bitcoin running without the internet via satellite, is their Blockstream node a form of centralization and how can Bitcoin be safe during times of nuclear war or apocalyptic scenarios like what use case does it have for interplanetary or post havoc monetary energy transfers? In the case of a global apocalypse, bitcoin would probably be unusable. We'd be back to gold yes or no if yes why yes if no why no?

What I read and watched about routing attacks on the network from ETH Zurich research and watched a video about delayed attacks and partition attacks, I also read these vulnerabilities.

https://btc-hijack.ethz.ch

https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7958588

https://apriorit.com/dev-blog/578-blockchain-attack-vectors

Also please share the latest network attack , node centralization, mining pool centralization, routing attacks, mitigating attacks, security leaks/flaws/vulnerabilities and how are they prevented or practical defense solutions to the exploits and weaknesses that help Bitcoin network be and remain decentralized most secure network ever

I also discovered radio freq transaction without internet and satellite low range like 7km from founders in Venezuela i think https://locha.io its called locha mesh

Please dispel myths and illusions and bring out facts and illumination on this subject
I felt a little uncomfortable reading your post. Although BTC is the earliest network and is now used by a lot of people, nothing is absolute in this world and I think including BTC is the reason why there are some bugs and security of BTC is one of the top concerns of many investors, and what you are imagining is a world with apocalyptic wars and many things affecting the internet, what will BTC look like? ? and we'll all go back to using gold. It sounds like what you said is possible but don't worry we will have another solution at some point.

191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just sold a rare NFT collectible for the first time on: October 16, 2021, 10:01:30 PM
This is such a great feeling! I’m actually had tears of joy after receiving a notification that my rare NFT collectible was successfully sold in the market.

The first sale is always the sweetest of them all and I won’t forget this day. Although this does not mean much for most of you, but it means a lot to me. I know the feeling of those people who had their first successful sale experience, especially NFTs.

Now I’m totally pumped up and excited even more! Just the first of many, and hopefully more to come.

P.S. Mods feel free to move this thread to other category if this topic is not deemed to fit here.
Great, I honestly share this joy with you. I'm curious about this how much did you sell for? and on what platform do you sell NFTs with abstract images of something? You have piqued my curiosity and can you tell me more about the amazing painting you sold?. Because I don't really believe that NFT will profit from it, it's like a new market hype and can't hold for as long as BTC.

194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: caught between dilemma and pleasure on: October 14, 2021, 10:32:56 PM
The interesting thing about participating in the bounty is knowing the price of the coins that are already on the market and it's tempting like the bounty thing Hhampuz, I hope when they are distributed they will still be there.

But if the participants are many what do you think?
I'm still trying there "RPG"
This is a high quality project that I am also involved in, currently its price is xxx higher than what I imagined. Hhampuz he is one of the very reputable and quality bounty managers that I highly recommend him, At first I thought 20k$ for 4 weeks seems a bit low but looking at the future of this coin I think it will reach 50$. Don't worry what we work hard will pay off.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: October 13, 2021, 04:09:28 PM
Please guys help me suggest coins to buy. I’m a student and I don’t really know much about crypto but I need the money for financial freedom and help my dad cover some of my school costs. Please guys.
It's a pity, I honestly recommend looking for a stable job and then learning to learn about the cryptocurrency market because this is where the potential risk can be $200 when you waking up will become 2k$ or 20k$ but it will also be possible after one night it will evaporate and your 200$ will disappear so you need to have a stable job and take care of your studies you can't be 100% dependent on $200 to cover your study expenses.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: October 13, 2021, 02:58:45 AM
40% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1000 individuals.

This gives them a disproportionate amount of control over the market as they are able to dump them at anytime.

This is not to mention the high proportion of bitcoins held by miners and exchanges, who may have perverse incentives to ensure that as many people buy up bitcoin as possible and hold it for long enough for the price to rise.

Is there any way to deal with the high degree of centralisation that Bitcoin has?
The Whales control the entire ecosystem of cryptocurrencies. They can make a huge impact for dumping or pumping. such as BTC whales have been sleeping for a while in their BTC wallets but one day it moves all the BTC out and sells it for a huge amount that will cause the whole market to panic before the price crash sudden drop, so that's why I think the whale is the key point of the electronic market because it determines everything about the price going up as well as the price going down.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if stop believing about bitcoin ? on: October 12, 2021, 05:58:34 AM
Bitcoin has no physical presence. What if we just stop believing in bitcoin. I mean every country has the equivalent of gold to their fiat. Bitcoin has no gold or physical value. Can this ever happen ?
This is quite a sensitive topic about trust and i think if you want to be successful you need to have faith in what you decide and invest in it, if you have decided to buy BTC to invest it means is that you have to have faith in it. increase price and profit for you in the future, this means you trust in BTC. I don't think if someone doesn't believe in BTC, they won't buy it and of course what you are saying is the complete opposite of what you want to invest in and believe in. I think if you don't believe sooner or later you will sell off and lose money on your BTC investment.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges are charging a big amount as transaction fee on withdrawal on: October 11, 2021, 10:09:22 PM
I think if you need money and just want to convert it to fiat, why not use altcoins instead USDT, DAI, BUSD, USD. It is not recommended to use BTC because it is very expensive 0.005 BTC (very high fee compared to the current BTC price) per withdrawal. I think the BTC price reaches 100k$ or 200k$ they still don't reduce the Withdrawal fee is 0.0005BTC it will get higher and higher with the increase in BTC price. They do not want to reduce here is the participation of exchanges and want more revenue. We should all learn how to find the cryptocurrency trading platform that works best for us and how to properly withdraw fiat money to avoid unnecessary fees.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM stolen in a liquior store on: October 11, 2021, 06:18:23 AM
Since the production of Fiat ATMs has improved so much over the years, robbers don't target them anymore. But I think robbing a BTC ATM is not a good idea as it cannot be used as such. fiat money just needs you to use a hammer and hit the money box, this involves both hardware, wallet code or scanning BTC QR code to crack is also really difficult. This robbery is such a stupid thing I have ever done think about . laugh out loud. Grin Grin Grin
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: October 10, 2021, 11:31:14 PM
NFT is a fertile market for money launderers where people are buying jpg files for millions of dollars that you can't even see or feel the fact that it's artistic or beautiful how. It is a very good place for criminals to take advantage of this vulnerability and Criminals can now create a lousy work of art and sell it for millions of dollars to a predefined buyer through cryptocurrency. . Currently, according to the news, I read that the crime of money laundering with electricity is increasing and the number is alarming.
