181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's The Minimum Investment? on: August 20, 2017, 05:36:25 PM
EDIT: If you don't mind sharing, how much did you start with?
I don't know exactly how much I have invested at first but I think it is around $100 which was some part of my saving. I have invested that in one ICO which turns out to be successful one and got around $300+ from it within few months. From that point, crypto trading/investment got my attention.

You can start with any amount but what you can make with that depends upon how much you can risk.
Yes don't risk money that you can not afford because we are not sure when we will get profit from our investment. Sometimes it takes very few time within 1 month you will make double profit. Sometimes you need to wait for a couple of months. So investing amount is not matter, how much time you can wait for matters. Patince is also important.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am newbie you can explain what alticoin? on: August 20, 2017, 05:31:49 PM
Its a cryptocurrency which is other than bitcoins(btc). If you are really interested on altcoins you may find lots of article in googles that could help you. Reading threads in this forum would also help you undestanding everything about alts and cryptos little by little.
I will suggest this altcoins discussion section to learn about all altcoins. Here you will get answers for your all questions including your future. First, learn what is Bitcoin later you can learn about altcoins. Becasue Bitcoin is the base for all altcoins. Once you know everything about Bitcoin then automatically you will get to know what is altcoins.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: August 20, 2017, 05:29:04 PM
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
I also am thinking the same that ethereum have raised in price about 30x to 40x and now the next cryptocurrency to show such tremendous growth is gonna be waves which is having much better functions than waves like the Decentralized exchange.
Ethereum price is expensive compared to waves. And we don't know when the price of the ETH will rise again. It's not crossing the border of $320. Since last few months, it's fluctuation in b/w this amount. So if we invest in waves and it reached $100, it's a big profit for us. And many people are telling next ETH is waves who knows this may going to true.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: August 19, 2017, 11:17:46 PM
Theoretically it is very easy but practically it is very hard to take control over greed on gambling. You can easily find lots of advice about 'how to' but you need to practice them.
Hahaha is right. Many people give us advice but they alone can not do it. No gambling can be controlled. Let alone about greed. We may stop when we see our balance runs out

Advises coming from the gamblers who experienced a lot can be helpful.

But for me, charged to experience will be a better way to know on how you can control greed.

It's an easy way to know by your own how to control your greediness.
Here, if you just read carefully the suggestion and experience of the people here, you can already learn that by all means you have to control your emotion because that will drive your to be greedy in gambling. It's not a good game to be greedy because we do not have a good chance of winning here and we cannot be this game with just a gut feel because long term success is what we need to be called victorious or successful.
You can't just simply learn from the suggestion and experience of others if you will not take time to try it.

That's why I said charge to experience and learn from your own experience.

This is the best teacher.
It can be the case with you. I think it is better to learn from others mistake before making those mistakes. If a person has some brain cells, then he must be able to differentiate between what is good for him and what is not. The fact is, deep down our heart always guide us, but still most of people do not respond to it and go the wrong way.
The experience is different from person to person, especially in gambling. I agree we can learn by seeing others mistakes, but we can't learn everything from others. We need to experience it by our own then only we can able to learn everything in details.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 19, 2017, 11:01:40 PM
Very poor performance from WI. Did not expect them to get out at just 168 runs in the first innings and now again in the second innings, they are seem to lose by a margin of runs plus an innings. England played smartly by first declaring at a score of 518 and then letting WI play. The game will be over by tomorrow.

It didn't take that long. England have taken 19 wickets in a single day to win the match in 3 days. Nobody would have predicted West Indies would have lost by such a big margin.

England won by an innings and 209 runs. This is expected match but not expected this poor performance. I thought at least they will give fight back performance. There is no aggressiveness in their performance. They just played to finish this game as soon as possible. I think WI is playing to make money not to win the match. Better ICC wants to remove this team from test teams list. They are not capable of playing test matches.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 19, 2017, 10:56:06 PM
A combination of both. Most of the time, I play just to get away from the stress of the real world. But sometimes when I don't have any option to get some change.

Playing for fun, relieving stress and just doing something to get out of boredom is the very few reasons of the gamblers here why they gamble. But include me to those people that is gambling only for profit, fun is just a second thought because it's funnier when you had won a lot and you'll use that money for buying things you need/want.

If you put the fun in second thought and making money is first thought means it will lead us to addict to gambling. Becasue once we taste the easy money, we will not leave this that much easier. After losing our money also we again play gambling. So make fun is your primary thought then you can get both fun and profit. Suppose if you lose means you will not feel bad. Otherwise, you will not get both fun and gambling you just lose your money.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoincash is around 527.74$ now! on: August 18, 2017, 04:00:54 PM
i opened coinmarket place and i saw bitcoincash coin skyrockted to 527$ about 76% increase form its actual price

It's just a hype, it would gradually go down overtime. This only proves that bitcoin cash has no chance against bitcoin, bitcoin will forever be the king of coins and bitcoin cash will just be considered like any other altcoins out there.

Yup in one day it went that many high means definitely it will come down. Those who bought last time means when it arrived this coin market and waiting for the good price. This is the best time to sell your coins and get your investment back. Becasue don't know again when it is going to dump.
188  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITTREX blocking withdraws !! on: August 18, 2017, 03:54:26 PM
Hello
I am not sure this is the proper place to post this, if it is not, i apologize, tell me where and I delete/recreate it in the proper place.

I tried with TWO different accounts to withdraw BITCOINS today , and i was DENIED! saying "unverified account cannot withdraw" WTF?

this is not a new account, the oldest one has over a year, and the other 2 months (I have two because one is with my business partner and the other one is personal)

Reading the faqs i was forced to register and prove who I am , even put my phone number verification, and EVEN THEN i was denied withdraw!.

So basically if you have BTC in BITTREX you cannot take out more than 0.025 perday (which, if you take into consideration that the withdraw fee is 0.001 is ridiculous!)

just you let people know so you don't loose money.

I hope they change this setting or I will never gonna use bittrex again

Indk.

You verified your account to give your personal details means not basic verification.  They will ask one more verification to withdraw more BTC. You need to upload your recent selfie and ID proof it may be your DL or any other ID issued from your governament. Because I also faced this issue after uploading all these details they allowed me to withdraw my BTC.
189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long are BTC transactions taking? on: August 18, 2017, 03:47:29 PM
I bought some BTC on Coinbase last night and had it sent to Poloniex.  I know the BTC wallet address was accurate.  Its still pending 11 hours later and doesn't show up in the Poloniex deposit/withdrawal history.  Any clue on how long BTC transactions are taking?

The transaction time depends on its priority, and what you pay for each transaction speaks for itself. However, according to my understanding, coinbase always pays pretty high fees for transactions, if they have sent it, you will get notice in a short time. The only answer here is that they have not yet made that transaction.

I had transaction from 2 weeks ago that I send from my wallet to a exchange within 1 hour. I pay a medium transaction fee around 120 sat/bye. The first 3 confirmations, I got it very quickly, but I have to wait for the next 3 confirmations, but overall I'm satisfied how quick my transaction was confirmed.

I think it really depends on how much you are paying in getting your transaction to be pick up by miners. I think my fees is around mid-high priority that's why it is so fast.

After this segwit2x actually this problem solved before after paying high rates also we need to wait for min couple of hours to get our bitcoins in our wallets. But now it's taking less time. If you choose high pay, you will receive coins within one hour. Or else it takes 2 or 3 hours. I sent my BTC from blockchain to exchange site it takes just 2 hours.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I convert my bitcoin to Ethereum? on: August 18, 2017, 03:43:36 PM
When investing, I’m a big fan of diversification of portfolios. I believe that both Ethereum and Bitcoin offer value, albeit in different ways.

Even though Ethereum is positioning itself to become a large platform, the fact that Bitcoin is so well known makes it the first place where people invest.

Well you have a very big decision to make, kidding. You want to diversify your portfolio, but you are doing it at the wrong time, ETH can fall and you can buy and insure in the long term, maybe in 5 months ETH will increase its price, but then there is another possibility, bitcoin can also increase in price . So to solve your problem:

Do you have 1btc? If you have 1BTC you can hold for a long time, but if you have less than 1BTC you can buy ETH when you fall and you sell ETH when going up.

To see the present price variation in Bitcoin better, you don't do anything with your bitcoin. Just wait for some time once it crossed $4500 then 100% it will reach up to $5k because this is the margin for to hit $5k. But you are looking for long time investment then you can convert your BTC to ETH. It has bright future.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: August 15, 2017, 01:12:00 PM
The difference between bitcoin and real money is that bitcoin is a money used in internet while real money is something we use physically and we do not need any third party to use it as a payment.

Both are real currency I believe, the difference is that Bitcoin is decentralized and fiat/local currency is centralized. What do you mean by the 3rd party you mentioned? If you you are talking about wallets for Bitcoins, I might remind you we also have to use banks and its services and promissory note etc to do high amount exchange/transaction.

Also I want to add in their difference, Bitcoin is quite slow and costly than fiats/local money. But I believe this differences will someday diminish.

Both are real currencies but one should accept by all over the world, and one is still introducing to this world. The demand for the new currency is increased, so the value is high, but the real currency had enough supply, so the value is less. One is legal, and another one is illegal these are the difference b/w Bitcoin and real money.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: August 15, 2017, 01:04:42 PM
I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Thanks

I`m messing with altcoins, and for weeks most of altcoins are going down, most of them lost 50% of it`s value. I`m a holder and I think price will recover, yesterday I bought more on this very low price, but price can go more down, we never know what will happen. Its my experience with altcoins, maybe this can help you.
Just with bitcoin is possible to earn but buy at when its down and sell when its high its not so easy, you need to practice that. Bitcoin fluctuate a lot, I just take a look cause of this post and:
Today's High$4,483.55  Today's Low$4,027.31 at coindesk.
You could earn today 400$ on each bitcoin, if you had 10 you could earn 4.000$, theoretically.

Successful traders earn money in any currency. Regularly create new coins. For someone who wants to and is able to earn by trading currencies always have that opportunity. But to store a large amount better in bitcoin. It is more reliable.

Yes, the traders will earn money in any currency, but no other coin will give you this much profit in a single day. Look at that profit 1 BTC $400 profit in one day. But here the investment takes major part we need to invest the big amount to make this kind of profit in trading. You don't have enough money then try with altcoins.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: August 15, 2017, 12:59:41 PM
Everyone who has a lot of bitcoin may be able to buy whatever they want.
Personally i'm also free to buy anything from bitcoin but do not buy illegal drugs, because illegal drugs in my country are prohibited except for prescription drugs.
Because in my country anyone who contracts or consumes drugs will deal with the law.
We must keep the positive value of bitcoin. ..
Buying illegal drug with Bitcoin I safe your identity will not disclose. Suppose if you buy illegal drugs with your card you will be tracked. And in the market, the sellers will not accept any online transaction to buy drugs we need to buy it from real cash. So using bitcoins to buy drugs is worth those who use this drugs. In my country, the sellers don't know what this Bitcoin is, so we need to buy from real cash.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: August 15, 2017, 12:54:52 PM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!
You can keep your bitcoin on offline wallet or use electrum  wallet i think that is the safest way. I used electrum since last year you can keep your bitcoin on cold storage until you don't want to convert it.
Try some online wallet and offline wallet search for a good one wallet then you can keep your bitcoin safe.
You have a small amount, and you will do trading means use any online wallet it is easy to way to transact your bitcoins with one site to another site. Or you want to save your Bitcoin for a long time use offline wallet. Electrum is the best wallet to save your bitcoins. Before I used to save my bitcoins in blockchain but now I shifted my bitcoins to Electrum wallet.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade or Hodling on: August 14, 2017, 03:21:46 PM
You can always "day trade" to Forex. But in crypto, day trading is not always applicable specially if theres a Bitcoin correction. And theres no guarantee you can always make a daily profit. In crypto you need to HODL as earnings takes days.
Except for bitcoin, we can not do day trading with other altcoins. Becasue except this Bitcoin no other coin price will have this much high fluctuation. But to do Bitcoin trading, you require huge investment small amount is not worth to do Bitcoin trading. If you have small amount coin better hold it for a long time this is a good idea.
196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: August 14, 2017, 03:17:46 PM
Great skill is required, if you suspect you do not have the skill you probably do not.
Sit on your coins in your own full node wallet. Create lots of backups paper included.
When the price enables you to follow your heart. Sell half and DO IT!
This is a good advise, don't force it if it is not for you because you will just lose more and more.
Just  buy and hold, most people are doing it and they are benefiting it now with the price of bitcoin increasing, it's the easiest method of making money and it does not require deeper knowledge in order to succeed, just trust bitcoin and you will be fine.
If we are continued to trust bitcoin I'm sure it will give a good profit for everyone. As we can see now the market of bitcoin it became a good investment for all because the price now are really high as the weeks or days only that passed in the market and all of the earlier investors who holds bitcoin they are now became satisfied or it helps them to become rich in the future
Doing trading with other altcoins now buying bitcoins and holding it for a long time is the best way to make a big profit. yes, most of the people are following this method. This is risk free business. But you should trust Bitcoin if you have any doubt then don't try. I am doing this business now I am not converting my bitcoins to any altcoins.
197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade at multiple exchanges? on: August 14, 2017, 03:11:50 PM
Most of the time there difference of price exists so do you withdraw bitcoins from one exchange and sell at higher rate exchange?
I didn't experience that because i only trade on one exchange like bittrex and i trade only altcoins so i didn't try exchange to different exchanger. But some of my friends are doing that from bittrex to poloniex they do arbitrage.
To exchange coins I also use only one site it's bittrex, I will not use another site to do altcoin trading. But to convert coins to fiat currency, i will use multiple exchanging sites. In which site I will get a good price there I will withdraw and sell the coins. Suppose if I have coins on one site, and another site is paying the high price it's more than 10% then I will transfer and sell. But within 10% I don't take the risk.
198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC grow or less on: August 14, 2017, 03:04:00 PM
Hi! Do you have something information about grow Bitcoin or less on the next week, two weeks??

Regards All !
Increase ... increase and increase ... that is what i see in the current bitcoin, it is constantly going up, even for a short time, but it is making the entire market feel crazy. The altcoin is also affected by it, they are constantly going up.
Yes the price of the bitcoin is making us feel crazy. Especially those who are holding more bitcoins. They are confusing to see this price increase. They must check the price of this Bitcoin constantly because suddenly it drops means a big loss for thme. Don't know where it will reach this month end I am expecting $5k what about you guys?
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 13, 2017, 07:21:48 AM
Watch the trade on the exchanges and you can clearly make a good decision. Study the market first and don't ride the hype or any news that this or that or going to pump. Follow your analysis so the risk is lesser.

Thanks for the information or feedback you provide to us all:)
The altcoins price is dressing I think when the price of the bitcoin is stopped to increase till that the price of the altcoins will go down. So put one eye on market price next few days still we see the huge price fall in altcoins. After that, you can buy which coin you want. I am waiting to buy Belacoin and Waves.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin to $4000 = altcoin market crash on: August 13, 2017, 07:14:27 AM
what do you think about that ?

so far whenever bitcoin price goes up, most of the altcoins (specially the top 10 alts) get dumped pretty hard.

and it has already happened, with bitcoin over $4000 everything is in red again.
well if you understand how crypto will work then its a good chance to buy those alts that you think will have a big chance of bouncing back, fluctuation happen then correction will follow be sure that you already review coins who's already in its dip so afterwards you will be able to gain a lot, just be very careful and make an extra research before placing an entry.
Actually whenever the Bitcoin price increases the top altcoins price also increase but this time it is decreasing doesn't know what the reason is. I thought when the price of the bitcoin is starting to increase the ETH price also increase and it will reach $500 but it's decreasing. One thing is right this is the time to buy altcoins for a low price.
