181  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: November 14, 2017, 08:00:55 AM
We all know the advantages of BTC, but what are some of the disadvantages??

Many of its disadvantages are related to scaling problems. This leads to long confirmation time and high fees, thus Bitcoin does not look viable to use for micro-transaction or buy small items in your local grocery store, for example.
Also, mining is only for very rich people right now, so I think it's not the most democratic thing on Earth.

Anyway, Bitcoin pros are more than its cons, so keep on using it and I think and hope it will become better and better over the years.

Is your bounty available for newbies?

Campaing is over, my friend and they are distributing bounties to users who partecipated. Take time to read posts above yours...
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we not change the name of the original Bitcoin? on: November 10, 2017, 10:21:00 PM
There's not name as perfect as "Bitcoin". Easy to remember and straight to the point.
Also very meaningful. It means "coin made by bits", it gets the idea of a very digital coin, the coin of the Internet.

No other cryptocoin has such a meaningful name... take Ethereum for example: what does this name mean? How can it be related to digital economy and online transactions?
184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is SegWit2X officially cancelled..? on: November 10, 2017, 07:56:29 AM
No, it's not canceled. It's just suspended.
B2X futures are still traded and Segwit2X developers team are still working on it, to find a better implementation of this feature.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips on: November 10, 2017, 07:54:48 AM
I am a newbie to crypto field.I want to now some crypto trading tips.can you help me

Are you new only to cryptocoins or to trading in general?

Since cryptocoin trading follows some basics of other trading fields (for example forex), but it has differences as well.
To start, anyway, I suggest you 4 things:

- Research the coins you wanna invest in (team, project, roadmap).
- Choose your strategy (short-term speculation, long-term investing a.k.a hodling, etc.)
- Set a budget
- Choose a reliable exchange. I suggest you to use decentralized plaform like Waves or Etherdelta.

Good luck!
186  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BITTREX.COM 1.000.000$ disabled on: November 09, 2017, 06:23:51 PM
I hope you'll get your acocunt back sooner or later.

But I also hope you learned three important lessons:

1. Never use centralized exchanges. Switch to decentralized ones.
2. Never put a so good amount of money on a website (online wallet, exchange, betting platform, etc. ) It's really too risky!
3. Never deal with Americans.
187  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert: AnyBet.eu on: November 09, 2017, 06:19:48 PM
They made a giveaway on this forum months ago, so I joined it as well. Never deposited though... their website design looks very basic, their communication on bitcointalk and social media is basically non-existent, there is no feedback on them and thus they look no reliable at all.
I don't know why you decided to put that nice amount of money on a website nobody uses...
188  Other / Meta / Re: Innocent post deleted, I wonder why? on: November 09, 2017, 06:15:05 PM
I'm interested in exactly the same thing, whether it's the OP's site or another site with such features. Being an old thread doesn't make it less pertinent.
Wouldn't it make more sense to concentrate tightly related discussions in the same thread, instead of creating a new one?

Before posting there was indeed a message alerting it's an old thread, but it was not disallowed. So I do wonder what the specific reason is.

I'm with you bro. It is very true it's better to concentrate the same matter in a single thread, instead of opening one or two about the same stuff. Even if the OP of that thread was pretty old, the matter is still relevant today.

Anyway, if a mod deleted your post, you better open a new thread upon the same matter. That's not a big problem, btw...
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Down Because of SegWit2x or Bubble? on: November 09, 2017, 06:10:42 PM
It's not so down, just a little correction. But it's still over 7k. Also consider many altcoins are on the rise from yesterday, so many people are buying altcoins instead of BTC these days...
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin fork cancel? on: November 08, 2017, 09:04:19 PM
Okay thanks. I read some more. I place my bitcoin in usd so it was safe before it surely down.

Why do you think Bitcoin price will go down? In my opinion that's exactly the opposite. Because before today there was a lot of doubt and some people genuinely believed the 2x chain would have been the prevalent, others were doubtful about which chain would have prevailed. Now, that's only Legacy, so I think this will lead to more stability and certainty.
Don't look on current correction, it's a sort of physiological one. But in the next days I'm confident price will rise again and hopefully will go over 8k $.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x cancellation discussion on: November 08, 2017, 09:00:32 PM
Yes, it's very cool, because all the altcoyins have gone up, everything is becoming more expensive. But maybe all of us are waiting for sevit in the near future. Maybe it's just decided to move it. So do not relax. Buy altcoyins, while they are still at a low start, then it may be too late. Cool Cool Cool

Altcoins are going up just because in the last few days they were going down. Since in the last weeks many people sold altcoins and bought Bitcoin, because they thought they would have been rewarded with B2X coins, basically for free. Since thhard fork won't happen anymore, many people started to buy altcoins again...that's it.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Social Experiment on Bitcoin on: November 08, 2017, 08:57:36 PM
That's actually good because it means we are still the early adopters. Yet the price is already so high!
Just imagine how much the price will rise when Bitcoin will go really mainstream and will be adopted by large amount of people...  Grin
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: November 04, 2017, 01:39:36 PM
Yes, trading is unpredictable. But any other business is unpredictable as well!
Let's suppose you start a cafeteria business. Who can guarantee people will buy stuff in your shop? Nobody.
There's always an unpredictable factor in almost everything in life. Call it luck or destiny, but it is almost always everywhere and in every business.

But maybe trading is one of the riskiest business ever, since - according to stats- about 95% of traders actually lose money doing it.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is safest wallet for altcoin on: November 04, 2017, 01:33:15 PM
Dear members

I have get some btc today. I need to store it in online wallet, online wallet because i need trade it frequently. Specially get the alt coins.  Whats your recommendation about wallet and why?

Wallets to be really safe should not be online. Cold storages or hardware wallets are generally safer.
But if you need to trade frequently, there some online wallets which look quite reliable, for example blockchain.info. As a second choice you may put your funds on exchanges. But keep in mind that's not a recommended choice if you need safety. Yet there quite reliable exchanges like The Rock Trading or Bithumb.

A third option could be to use Waves. Just add this plug-in to chrome and you can start to use their amazing platform: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wavesliteapp/kfmcaklajknfekomaflnhkjjkcjabogm
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: November 03, 2017, 08:51:00 AM
I'm very glad you are finally listing Omisego. That's a really good project and it was a shame it wasn't available on your platform. I own several OMG tokens and I think I'm gonna buy some others as soon as prices go a little bit down...
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [RvT] RIVETZ: Decentralised and Mobile Cyber-Security Token on: November 03, 2017, 08:46:08 AM

Agree. Most ico's are for suckers now. When MOST ico's are over they drop in value. Yes most go back up BUT you could wait for ico to be over and buy then at same price or MUCH lower. Not having to lock in your money during the circus and waiting period. Just look it up. Perfect example rvt. The dev team and whales come out on top. People get suckered. I'm just waiting for this to go back up even close to what I bought it for so I can sell. Total disappointment.

Which was ICO price? Maybe I could buy your Rivetz if you set a good price...
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CND] Cindicator - Hybrid Intelligence for Financial Markets - September 12 on: November 03, 2017, 08:40:05 AM
Don't worry too much about current price, guys! Cindicator is a very good project, I partecipated in their bounty campaign because I believed it was good and I still think so. Team is competent and project is valid. The only downside which may negatively affect the price is total supply. Why so many tokens?
198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the time to buy Bitcoin on: November 02, 2017, 09:29:04 PM
Is this the time to buy Bitcoin?

Bitcoin price just hit 7000$, so it's all time high. Usually this is not the best time to buy anything when it's at all time high. But Bitcoin is different, in my opinion price will go up forever, so it's always the right time to buy Bitcoin!
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] HireMatch - Decentralized Blockchain Employee Recruitment Platform on: November 02, 2017, 09:26:43 PM
I think this campaign is over, so you better stop post, share and retweet. Very poor management anyway in my opinion, lack of communications.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy for the upcoming fork in mid November? on: November 01, 2017, 02:39:08 PM
Excuse the thread if the question has already been asked. I'd like to read what some of the more seasoned BTC hodlers are doing for the mid November fork.

So far I've seen a confirmation from Coinbase that they will credit BTC holders with an equal amount on the new blockchain. I'm assuming that other exchanges will follow suit.

The question is, will you stack BTC up in preparation?

Yes, some exchanges will credit 2x to BTC holders. But my opinion is that it's always risky to put money on exchanges for a long period of time. They could be hacked or scam people and then disappear. It's safer to control your private keys on a light wallet like electrum.
Then, when the storm will be over, you can take all the time you want to claim your new 2x coin on a new wallet (like many of us did for BCH). When 2x will be listed on exchanges you may trade it for BTC or just keep it in your wallet and hold for the long term.
