Have you guys not learned a thing or are you just insane? Who would put a single Satoshi to such a platform again these days after what just happened to Bitcoinica, not once but twice!?!! People are so ridiculously stupid.
Maybe this time it's actually people who know what they are doing. Does kronos.io also allow trading on margin?

Another offer: 1000 btc deposit for a minimum of one month, with re-investments, 7.5% for the first 4 weeks, 7.25% for weeks 5-8 and 7.125% for weeks 9-12, 7% after that. First 7.5% interest week starts at Sunday, 11:59 pm GMT, in case deposit is made before that time interest for that time period will be 5.6%.
One time deal. PM me for details.

5.6% until 1000 btc is reached (cumulatively), 7% after that (or whatever the rates are if pirate changes them). 50 bitcoins minimum deposit. Reinvestment possible.
Sounds fair? PM me.
Yes, sounds fair If I want to deposit [today], for example, 500-1000 BTC for one week, ...and I do not want to keep this deposit for longer than one week, is this okay? and what would be the interest rate, 7% ? It would have to be a minimum of 2 weeks to get 7% (that would make it 5.6% for the first and 7% for the second week) with 1000 btc investment as I'm not currently over 2000 btc yet. As all this reinvestment schemes are there to keep the pressure off pirate's shoulders I don't know exactly how I feel about these 1 week in and out investments, especially with an amount I can't cover with my outstanding funds...

is there a way to monitor wallet.dat and stop any program from accessing it without some sort of user interaction?

Even if true I don't see this as such a problem anymore, pretty much everyone should have his wallet encrypted at this time...

7 months is cutting it close. 7970 will give you about 800 megahashes/second, which is (if the difficulty remains about the same it is now) 14.11 btc/month = 98.77 btc/7 months. You would need 97.27*1.1 = 107 btc.

On wifi and a halfway new phone, it takes about an hour. It just downloads for a little while and then stalls. It has always been like this but recently it has been much worse. Same here, that's why I've given up on it.

What might it mean if blockchain.info has heard of an unconfirmed tx, but I haven't and neither has blockexplorer?
That it's probably a spammy transaction, same as the one from the link in my post above was.

After I get the first 1700 BTC, I'll pay out 6.75% on further deposits.
Just to clarify, after initial 1700 btc you'll pay 6.75% on every deposit or just the last ones (those after 1700 btc)? As per the OP, I'll pay 6.75 % on those after the 1700, but the first 1700 will continue to receive 7 % until withdrawn. Or until other withdrawals take the aggregate below 2000 BTC, then everyone will receive 5.6% until it gets back up again (But hopefully that won't happen. It's one reason I set a minimum one month term). Or until pirate lowers rates or defaults etc. Thanks for clarifying. Too bad there's the one month term which is a dealbreaker for me. I'm reconsidering a GLBSE listing. Current depositors would have the option to transfer their deposit over to it (but wouldn't have to). That would allow more liquidity without giving me more work. I wanted to make sure demand was there before I do anything though. I may close the private offering, or limit it further once we reach the top interest level. Still weighing up options. As much as I love GLBSE I don't think it's particularly well suited for this, as the price of the bond cannot be kept constant.

Had a similar idea. No one was interested (it seems). My only concern is how to prove I'm honest (other than previous activity and trades here). Well that's everyone's problem, isn't it? A good OTC record goes a long way. Honestly I don't think this will ever work. There are so many of those pass through operations already and people don't seem to mind a small fee anyway.

So did the donator got his money back or did 0.6 BTC just get vaporized?
It's like the transaction never existed. All those inputs are still unspent. Can't say how the client will react to it though.

|

It now doesn't have a fee anymore, but it has an output with less than 0.01 btc, which is (without a fee) considered spam under current rules? I had this same exact problem a few weeks ago where I broadcasted such a transaction and it would show in blockchain.info but nowhere else. After a while it disappeared from blockchain.info as well. edit: and it's gone.

7% per week, 50 bitcoins minimum deposit. Reinvestment prefered.
Storage capacity: Not accepting new deposits at this time.
Sounds fair? PM me.

Look where it got you.
Look where it got YOU. On to the next username, then?

Yeah but with fiat there is no way to check all the past transactions. Also with fiat money you don't have a government made up of luke and his friends that launch crusades against tainted coins
Most of all you can't look at a serial of 100 dollar bill and say "sorry mate but I won't accept it. I will take it from you however, but you still owe me 100$.".
|
|
|
As much as it pains me to admit I think this idea of tainted coins will lead bitcoin to it's death.
