181  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Hacked Blockchain.com Wallet - You should NEVER use online wallets ! on: September 21, 2019, 02:20:36 PM
I think in this case problem was not in blockchain.com, but in Apple blockchain app which is reported many times as the main culprit for hacks. A few months ago, one user reported that he and some other users lost over 400 BTC by "using iPhones and official blockchain app".

At the moment we are a group of several victims of the company Block chain dot com and we entrusted our funds to Block chain Luxembourg and lost over 400 bitcoins, this amount is worth today about 4.5 million American dollars.
We are sure we didn't do anything what could influence to the security of our wallets which were used at blockchain  com (generating paper wallets, storing passphrase, etc). In most cases we were using Apple environment (mainly newest iPhones and official blockchain app).

I still have blockchain.com wallet, just for some small amounts ($50-$100), and I never had a problem with hacks or anything related to using them. Most of people who get hacked by using online wallets are the victim of phishing, and in some cases, they lost coins because service gets hacked.

In this particular case, someone is exploiting vulnerability in Apple blockchain app to hack users.

Its usually the case. When paypal were becoming popular since 2006, there were also lots of phishing attempts to its users, there were victims of course. ITs the same thing with online wallets. When users get some emails regarding the wallets they were registered, they lick the links and login to it. It redirects to the real one but also collected the data they input to login. So who is to blame?

182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐WAVESBET⭐ 🎲Wavesbet The future Of Gambling🎲 on: September 19, 2019, 03:47:13 PM
somebody can give me some reasonable reason why the price of wavesbet growing hard today ?
and become the first list in the biggest gainers cryptocurreny at coinmarketcap

I didn't even thought the token is listed already. Of course it could only be listed on their DEX and tidex but surprising to see its listed on P2PB2B and STEX lol

Token is cheap that's why its bought for probably just a hundred USD which someone could waste a thousand and leave it there until someone decides to invest like Mcafee. He shills for this coin as far as I know.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with ERC20 tokens when ICO gone REKT? on: September 19, 2019, 03:27:31 PM

So now we hold thousands of erc20 tokens from REKT ICO. Bounties, buys, failed ICO and so on.
What can be done with them?

Hold them and hope for a miracle, sell them (even if for hardly anything), or if an ICO someone paid into, just sell for a loss or burn, and use it as a tax loss.

I find myself in the funny situation just when I tried to see if I send spome of my ERC tokens to an exchange 12k of ERCtoken I am about to send but I calculated this will just be worth 0.0021BTC. If transaction fee is deducted which is 0.001, I'm left with 0.0011  Cheesy What am I going to do with that amount?  These tokens ain't listed in Binance where I can pay BNB for the transaction.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad projects are been dealt with by altcoin bear market on: September 19, 2019, 02:43:25 PM

Its not just the bad projects that they are destroying though. There are good projects out there that just died all because of the team that has no idea this bear market is going to be this strange and all the funds they got made members quit. So this didn't just break their souls but also destroy the trust the idea of decentralization. In the end it destroys all the rest and it puts the idea that crypto market can't be trusted.
185  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♣ BetHash.io | Free $4,000 GiftBox Offer! Crypto Gaming Hub |💰Lottery 🎲 Dice ♠ on: September 17, 2019, 04:46:04 PM

Total pool for BETHASH is really that high now, almost 20K USD, let me get some  hundred thousands of hash for fucking sake! If your team just open your exchange and list HASH and hpoint, there would have been a lot of bids to it.

Reputed escrow: Darkstar or Hhampuz

So, according to Leon, who happen to be manager of bethash Darkstar and Hhampuz, seems to be scammers.

He also further says he can look for escrow here beside the above, but whom?? Loxxxx( The manager who uses bot to give you retweets? )

Darkstar_ is holding 500 BTC for this forum as one of escrow, and Leon says he is scamming for fees.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155000.0

I and the whole community is still waiting for leon to held a escrow to prove he actually have fund and not paying just from one of his wallet to another.

And so you brought this up here when you have your own thread lol grasping for relevance is way harder than you ever thought.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 17, 2019, 04:23:38 PM

Atomic swaps is cool and all, but really way too slow to use on a DEX if you ask me. Depending on the coin pairs, it can take several minutes to exchange 2 coins using atomic swaps, and while it "seems" fast, it's not.
Imagine yourself as a day trader, wanting to trade on the ups and downs - Now imagine waiting up to 10 mins / trade. You'd run out of patience real quick, and would probably move your operation over to a centralized solution with INSTANT trading.

Now, let's imagine a DEX using Lightning to swap your coins? The benefits here is HUGE, since the trades is near instant, AND virtually feelees. So you save time, AND money.

Take a look at Stakenet - 3rd project to actually implement Lightning on mainnet (Next to BTC/LTC), and actually helped the LTC team integrating it on their chain.
Stakenet's Lightning DEX is soon ready for public testing, and it's probably the most promising DEX solution out there for PRO traders, who wants to stay anonymous as well, since the DEX doesn't need KYC, registrations, or anything else for that matter. You also don't need to sync with the DEX, as the DEX is run on masternodes keeping all the chains on their servers.

This is a true gem, however, do your own research guys Smiley

That's a good input right there that weidex team could look.  Weren't there projects which interoperability had been working already?

DEX has to really develop to its fullest this time and DEX has to take part in the process for the adoption of crypto.  If convenience has to be offered apart from this anonymity in exchanges, DEX has to offer it.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: September 17, 2019, 03:58:17 PM
About a month ago I read that Waves is one of about 8 coins/tokens being considered for listing on Coinbase. Has there been any further news/progression on this and what do you think the chances are for Waves to be selected?
Yes, there was information about this. Coinbase wrote about listing eight new asset in aug 5.
I think the Waves have a good chance.  Cool

I have high hopes for three of them - Waves, Matic and Harmony One. Perhaps the good news that sasha wil reveal soon has something to do with this or if not related, that the good news would be the catalyst needed for Coinbase to list Waves.

Its not too late to get to be on coinbase. To be fair with waves, there are good projects in this platform such as ZRcoin. Commodity backed project in WAVES, seem to have add value to WAVES. Do you think the volume on their DEX will increase even just a bit because of this?  I have tried the DEX, its fees are just bits and it would be really good if it just have volume.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Cock Fighting on: September 16, 2019, 05:46:18 PM
[/center]
Last week someone shared me gamble where you can bet on cock fighting online. But on this platform we only use our national currency to cash in will convert it credits where 1PHP : 1 credits.
It's just sad because they don't accept Bitcoin. I having hardtime to cash in/cash out by going to any banks or remmitance.

Anyone here tried to gamble with cock fighting?
And maybe you know some websites that accepting Bitcoin.
First time encountering this Online cockfighting website yet this game is just only being offered and can be enjoyed physically in Philippines and to some other asian countries that do have this kind of gambling.Basing and i had visited the site they dont have a clear FAQ on how payments would be made and they do have that that blank 'About us' tab.
I dont know if this one is trusted or not yet i havent seen any feedbacks on this one.

It would be good to see if the cocks health are features before the fight and probably the records like how much much fights it won and the age of the roster. It matters I guess. Unfortunately, they don't accept BTC so thats going to be a hard for people like you to bet there. But there is a project I've seen recently here in the forum which involves rat race. Projects today are getting stranger and stranger.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: A Cryptocurrency-related Business (Pitch) on: September 16, 2019, 04:05:49 PM

Allowing smoking will good for police works, detectives will probably liter in the area watching everyone who leaves cigarette butts which is source of DNA.  Putting all the DNA profiles of the BTC users will allow these detectives to easily find BTC criminals in the area. Basically you are not just providing KYC, videos of you in the boot but also medical profile.  The government needs this business venue, they'd be more than happy to provide free cigars from Cuba too.

191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin Gold? on: September 10, 2019, 04:01:14 PM
Unfortunately, all the coins that have the name "Bitcoin" did not become successful. Bitcoin Gold is also not very popular, unlike the original Bitcoin, but I like that the developers made it available for mining using the GPU. But seeing how the price of BTG is constantly falling, I begin to doubt that this coin will ever grow again.
Indeed there is truth, but on one hand many things and ways they have done to develop it, but still BTG as walking in place. Sooner or later if they continue like this they will lose a lot of trust from investors.
BTG is dead and daily volume trade is so small. I can say BTG is a pump and dump coin right now. You don't need to wait for later or sooner to see shitscam BTG lost a lot of trust from the investors caused by BTG was doing it.
Shitscam coin like the majority of the fork coins must be dead consider about that is only disrupting the crypto ecosystem only.

Trade volume within 24hours is $14,424,578 USD, how is this small?  I'm not a fan of BTCGOLD, not will I even buy that but people are just mining it and mining cost which is why its also sold for a high price. This fork is listed to big exchanges too  with an average price of $10 which is a lot compare to the others.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook trying to profit from Cryptos ? on: September 10, 2019, 03:39:47 PM
Obviously Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook owner) don’t literally want to make money from bitcoin but what he want is to make money from cryptocurrency

Just like this Libra Thing in which sooner will be released ,he had planned this long time ago and now is the right time to make those dreams in reality

The government is not going to make it easy for him, they will make sure there is a great price to pay for making facebook act like a bank for all. Facebook has to hire lobbyist to crawl under for these lawmakers to approve him. Negotiations will me made here and perhaps allowing the government to peak into their database will be agreed which is likely to be signed.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The Agony Of Bounty Hunters on: September 09, 2019, 04:09:27 PM

There are still projects which their tokens that are good to keep, since their platform is already working and they are already in the exchanges, I kept them to see if the future holds something for them. But there are also projects where the team itself had made their own some problem jsut to escape sending bounty tokens to the bounty hunters.

They go all the trouble by sending different tokens, ETERBASE for instance distributes BEP2 tokens instead of ERCbase tokens, some team did the same thing like the STORIChain. We might be seeing this kind of pattern til next year.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Bitcoin ETF bad? on: September 09, 2019, 03:46:01 PM
Do you think it might just be approved?

To those bodies that will regulate cryptocurrency all these crypto technology doesn't matter and whether it defeats crypto purpose or not, they are not important since all they would see is the value in USD.  Price I think will still go up because the prices in exchanges still would be the first to look at.
195  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to find a team for a project? on: September 09, 2019, 03:11:02 PM
You can go over linkedin, there are linkedin groups out there which members may be qualified to what you are looking for. You can look up for the Linkedin group which is named blockchain developers, they normally discuss stuff in there related to everything to blockchain. I use to go there too. to spam of course.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We still don't have any idea about the real Satoshi, stop false info on: September 08, 2019, 06:04:37 PM

There is a big reward in finding Satoshi. You can't tell them to stop looking for him.

A criminal mind will really dig and claim he is the real satoshi so the real satoshi will try to come out and disprove him. This is to trick satoshi. Until someone says something that only satoshi knew then all will be curious. A criminal can take him, will torture him til he give me his private keys. How is this for a motivation to find him?
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrencies Will Survive the Next Decade? on: September 08, 2019, 03:01:33 PM

This is more like a spam to me. You laid it perfectly with keyword and url but with format of a regular spammer not intending to make it easy for forum users to look at by providing space makes it like you just copy it and post it here. Shilling for DeepBrainChain and Velas may sound like the coin you supported has been broadcast to thousands of users here but to be honest, if these coins can't get to have at least a price of 0.05USD, they'd be ignored except for braindead investors who truly believe to the team.

198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: suggestion bounty to join on: September 08, 2019, 02:34:12 PM

You should join the bounty campaign which you support the project deeply. Lets say you like PORN, you might like the RACHELX campaign it brings a lot of nudity for you. You'd be proud of yourself owning some tokens related to adult which of course is a sexy time for you. And one more thing the project offers big sum in ETH.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobs Created by the Blockchain & Bitcoin on: September 07, 2019, 05:31:21 PM

Is the bounty hunting job here in bitcointalk included in these jobs?

If you try looking for a job in upwork or freelancers, there are jobs there that includes bitcointalk user. You'd be amaze what they want a bitcointalk user will do for them.

200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sleeping giant altcoins on: September 07, 2019, 04:46:30 PM
Sometimes you can see these coins on CMC but probably be delisted for being found out to be scam.
Try going to yobit you will sure see this kind of coins ranging price is just 1 satoshi and will suddenly moon up to 50 satoshi in a week and then dumped. A good trader who can follow how these coin pumpers will be able to make money easy.
