Last week someone shared me gamble where you can bet on cock fighting online. But on this platform we only use our national currency to cash in will convert it credits where 1PHP : 1 credits.
It's just sad because they don't accept Bitcoin. I having hardtime to cash in/cash out by going to any banks or remmitance.

Anyone here tried to gamble with cock fighting?

I have read news about something like this which is called e-sabong [1]

They have arrested 16 people who were involved in the following operation. I'm not sure how the law is right now since this article is dated April 25, 2018, which may or may not be updated but it is illegal according to that. It is summarized that, people who live locally cannot bet on the website. They may have a license but not to the point where local people can.


It would be cool if someone were to create gambling online where it accepts Bitcoin. The people who owns that website might not be aware of that right now that you could use Bitcoin as the currency. They might be the first online cockfighting website that accepts it.

I am not into cockfighting but I'm sure there are people who are into cockfighting will be interested to book a bet here, we have horseracing outlet, so why not online cockfighting, but this will not attract regular cockfighting aficionados, they love the thrill when they are on the arena because of the noise and how the bet is made.

But some are much comfortable doing this kind of gambling in cock fighting, especially the friend of mine who introduced me this cock fighting.
Maybe if you are newbie in cockfighting, actual fight on the arena is much exciting but if you are already tired especially the expenses of your transportation.
He also said that the odds in the arena is much better than online betting, not sure about that.

It is a traditional gambling in my country especially in my area. There are still many people do cock fighting against other people but they do it secretly because it is forbidden in my country. Here this cock fighting is a well known to called as "SABUNG AYAM". Almost similar with the one shared by OP which is called by "SABONG". I do believe gamblers who like to bet on cock fighting will still prefer to bet offline while they are watching it live in front of their own eyes as it will be more interesting than betting and watching it online.

On the contrary, I'm a old school so when I used to play cock fighting last ten years ago, I would go to sports arena and bet with my fellow cock fighting affionados.

But with the advent of on-line sports betting games, I'm not surprised that country like Philippines are going to stream this game because I know a lot of Pinoys are addicted to this game. I had an account of this online cockfighting betting 2 years ago but the operation have somehow stopped, i think it is illegal to operate such kind of activity in our locality. It is really convenient to bet online but the essence of the sports of cockfighting is not gone. I would still go to cockfighting arena and maybe bet sometimes online if it still exist.

I am too is searching for a gambling website that has cockfighting and offer bitcoin as a medium but unfortunately i have found none. With my own view, i think it is very hard to integrate blockchain/bitcoin into cockfighting because the operation of a cockfight is complicated.

This is a pretty bad way to gamble if you ask me. Why injure innocent animals for our own pleasure? This is like watching gladiators kill themselves in the Colosseum which is entertaining, but horrible for the fighters.

Pretty much Cockfighting is very popular here in the Philippines and I think seeing something like this online had made this kind of gambling theme very popular and trying to pick up the pace in the ever-changing gambling style that we have right now, but if they are not accepting Bitcoin, for now, I guess there may be a time that they eventually will, Or maybe someone can introduce them to Bitcoin by contacting the developer of that site and introducing him to Bitcoin as one of a convenient payment method.

I am sure that cockfighting is traditional gambling which is available in the Asian country. I see that on the television, but I think I am not interested in betting because it is better not to use the animal for gamble. Since it's a traditional game, I think they don't know about bitcoin yet, but if the game become popular, then I guess we will see that game will use cryptocurrency for placing the bets.

I have not tried gambling with cockfighting before but I already watched cockfighting in a big arena, they say that betting goes up thousands of dollars, there are a lot of backyard cockfighting in the Philippines and this is illegal but if held in a big arena they call it derby and it's legal.
