It's very difficult to predict the short term. But the long term, as in months and years out, is quite simple. The longer the term, up to a certain extent, the simpler it is to think about it. Buy now. Sell after several years. Usually that means profits or gains.
But to buy now only to to sell tomorrow is usually not a smart move.
As said immediate profiting is not gonna happen now. Now it is a must to have patience once buying, because there isn't perfect time period for growth. that's true but it's not always become the answer as the altcoin can even get nothing from the season. We don't know when that will be happening and we are only betting on something that there is no clue about when that will actually come to pump the altcoin. We have seen altcoins are loosing the value. had increased slightly when the fast pump of bitcoin occurred but it did not last long before the dominance of trade was controlled by bitcoin and made altcoin worse. the incident made everyone sell altcoin for bitcoin. but when the pump occurs again with the balance of trade maintained in the market. I think Altcoin still has a chance to grow with the Bitcoin pump. The problem is when that will be happening? there is no ETA about that. you can say if the pump can occur anytime but when we are seeing the reality and there is a possibility for the pump will never happen again. The chance for altcoin go grow gets drowned by bitcoin expect good altcoin like credits.  We can't estimate the time for such a large scale growth in the market. Earlier this wasn't the way by which the market for bitcoin got to be growing. Possible chances for growth is much associated with the increasing adoption, and that's really the big market to reach. |

Litecoin dipped under $40 a few days ago, I am looking for prices under $30 to buy more. I could buy maybe a couple hundred LTC, depending on the price.
The way the line moves right now I guess you will not be able to buy more LTC in the next days. LTC is in red just like BTC and many altcoins but it is already moving up. Sooner this red will be gone. LTC at $40 is already cheap. You can either take this price as a good bargain opportunity or risk not buying at that cheap price at all and wait for the price to go down less than $30. Which for me is not probably happening. true as you say. LTC prices are already too cheap to buy. at the price of $ 40 a pretty good choice for buying ltc. the bear market will recover soon, I think if the OP wants to put up at $ 30 that's impossible. maybe he should arrange a buy order at $ 40 or $ 37. I believed that the market of bitcoin will remain tight and strong even there is a global economic crash because people know that bitcoin is not dependent on the happenings in our world and in a matter of fact, it might even go up even there is a global economic crash because people will rush in to store the value of their money through bitcoin.
We can't say that crypto market isn't dependent upon the world happening. It has certain marginal value to make an impact, beyond which it reacts to the world market changes. It is suggested to calculate your gains and losses but most importantly your losses.
This is better if you want to improve yourself, don't focus on losses though. Just monitor the money you've lost and gained, why would you focus on your losses though? I mean that could affect you as a gambler since you might get desperate on getting back those losses. That is the reason I don't suggest people gamble at all. If you want to risk your money, I'd prefer betting it on the price of Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies. Keeping ourselves up-to-date with the losses and the gains let us know when to start and where to stop the spending. Because, we easily get out of control, sometimes feel emotionally down when there is continued loss on gambling. In my own opinion, since cryptocurrency is decentralized there would be a problem when everyone in the world have converted to cryptocurrency because taxes would be no more, so there would be lack of funds on making projects or establishments such as bridges, schools, hospitals, roads, highways, and etc.
