1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not as trustless as it used to be on: May 24, 2023, 11:24:47 AM
Not all proof-of-stake are centralized, as there are currencies that do not require the need for an intermediary such as Cardano, and therefore all proof-of-stake currencies that need a third party are those currencies that need large amounts such as more than 10k dollars, and most users will not be able to participate as a validator.

If you are POS hodler you must try to reach the limits of being a validator or using any other currency, otherwise everything that happens you increase the centralization of those currencies and thus increase the possibility of losing your currencies.
1802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Free tool] Find triangular arbitrage opportunities across 250 trading pairs on: May 24, 2023, 11:14:25 AM
The tool has been simplified a bit, and new exchanges/coins have been added.
Is this an alt account to @mediumrider, or is it affiliated with everstrike.io?
The interface is beautiful and streamlined, but the price differences are not great.

In the sense that the price differences are not large between those prices, which makes arbitrage not profitable, or at least there is no indication of profitable arbitrage.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GeckoAI - new AI project. Crypto analysis and prediction of new growth on: May 24, 2023, 10:57:50 AM
Did the team temporarily halt the project? Updates stalled for a few months , The twitter account also only has 3 followers and a few short tweets, it's really sad
Perhaps the word artificial intelligence is no longer a hot topic these days, many projects were very impulsive and the market was flooded with many of them, so it is natural for some of them to disappear, especially those for which there was no real development.
Everyone's attempt to create his own coin in order to become rich is absurd thinking. The market does not need new projects, but rather real ideas and serious development.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 💥😮Ripple Launches CBDC Platform For Banks, Governments🏦 on: May 20, 2023, 09:17:19 AM
What country would rely on a private company to settle its payments? I can understand that this service works as a bridge within the bank or between banks, but for countries it is a different and slightly difficult matter. Some countries with small economies may depend on Ripple, but without authorizing a global standard for countries and linking CBDC between them, all that this central currency makes is promises to investors.
I am amazed how they are still holding up against the recent lawsuits.
1805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In the market, following in the footsteps of Whales on: May 20, 2023, 09:03:48 AM
If your investment plan is to follow the saying of a person who has billions of dollars, and there are more than a million people who follow his accounts, then it is likely that you will buy with the rise of the wave and you will achieve losses due to the emotional and ill-conceived investment.

Elon Musk is one of the most personalities that changes a lot of his views and convictions, as he can do something and reverse it within a week, and therefore he is not the ideal person who enables you to make profits. If this is your only investment plan, then the best for you is  to start DCA.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feedback on Portfolio on: May 20, 2023, 08:47:28 AM
Talking to family/friends about money in general is not a good idea and crypto makes everything even worse.
The stories are almost the same. My relative tried to invest in real estate, and soon they told him that it was a good investment, so he started buying a property in a good area, but after a week I heard that he had sold it, and the reason for that was that one of his neighbors told him that the area was hot and not suitable as an investment. Now the value of that property has increased 10 times.
If you tell them about your investment in cryptocurrencies, with every negative movement, you will find a lot of criticism of your thinking and that your investments are a failure.
1807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Factors that's why others are hesitant to start in crypto on: May 19, 2023, 01:10:46 PM
Fear is an emotion that if you use it well, you will make profits, and if you misuse it, you will end up losing your money. Fear and greed are linked and it is difficult to separate them, so you will need a little of this and a little of this to make reasonable profits.

The real problem that I see is a lack of knowledge. Fear disappears as soon as you start the first trade, and cheating ends with knowledge, but not continuing to acquire knowledge and trying to be on a permanent coating is the long-term problem.

Investing also means that you do not invest the money you need to pay expenses or feed your family, otherwise you are risking their future.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feedback on Portfolio on: May 19, 2023, 01:00:57 PM
Talking to friends and family may not lead to good results. If they do not know anything about cryptocurrencies, talking to them will not give you a real addition, and if they do know, it may cause you some inconveniences, such as asking for a loan from you, trying to steal you, or at least scam you.

Post what you are trying to say here, you will find a lot of useful comments and advice that may help you in enhancing your profits, in addition to the possibility that it will be a source of your income for you by helping others, who in turn will donate to you or it will turn into a paid service in the future.

I see that you have created several topics related to the same content, I advise you to try to work a little bit on the quality of your posts.

I advise you to lock this topic and pump the previous one.
1810  Economy / Economics / Re: Kraken, UK trade body derides lawmaker description of crypto as ‘gambling’ on: May 19, 2023, 12:02:58 PM
I think you misunderstood what they are trying to say, that they mean that cryptocurrency trading is more like gambling and therefore it should be classified accordingly because it is a high-risk investment as gambling is an attribute of the nature of investment and not something in itself.

Self-regulatory organization CryptoUK and crypto exchange Kraken have slammed a recent report from a panel of British lawmakers that suggested crypto should be regulated in a similar vein to gambling.

Generally, though the classification varies a lot you still need to verify identity before trading and these platforms need a license to operate in the UK.
Personally, I see that the United States has a leading role here, and once it establishes a clear organization in the United States, I believe that many countries will start following the same approach to reach a global organization.

But in any case, it is unlikely that Bitcoin will be classified as a legal tender, but rather an asset or a commodity.
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How stable is USDT in the banking crisis of 2023? on: May 19, 2023, 11:51:56 AM
A long article that did not address any details about Luna or the BUSD, which had a clear impact on the market, whether it had an impact on the price or on legal regulations more than the impact of USDC, which could be a more reliable currency than USDT even with all that happened.

There is also an impact on the viability of decentralized stablecoins such as Dai, which will be of dubious value due to what happened with USDC and Luna.

So, the collapse of banks means that both central and decentralized stablecoins are not a safe haven, and therefore it is better to reduce your ownership of these currencies and diversify your investments in gold, bitcoin, cash for foreign currencies, dollar, metals and real estate.
1812  Other / Meta / Re: Poll on solving the imgur issue on: May 19, 2023, 11:16:24 AM
EDIT:
The ideal solution, is to have an unofficial hosting service (non-profit organization), so that the forum pays a little to ensure that the service will last for several years and bear the volume of traffic, with a monthly payment to them like staff.
thus reducing the damage to intellectual property rights and the existence of a service that the forum members can hold accountable.

Does the TalkImg service fit this idea!? Roll Eyes

Unfortunately not, I trust you and thank you for your great effort, but at some point hosting these images will be expensive and therefore you will not be able to pay them out of your own pocket, in addition to that you must be held accountable in case of misuse (such as IP addresses), which is something we cannot do for you.

We need an unofficial party, but it is from the forum and the forum pays for it to be able to do that.
1813  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 19, 2023, 11:09:55 AM
There's no obligation for both of them to compensate the company for the past weeks, they're not have any intention to scam the company and Shan85 isn't their alt accounts. I also don't think they need to pay a developer to create a script or adds on to monitor their campaign participants.

There is a difference between a person joining same campaign using more than one account and a person not wearing the signature and being paid.

When the advertising company wants to ads here, they ask the campaign manager to search for the best ways, and therefore he selects best high quality posting account to wear signature. If this does not happen, it means that the company paid money for nothing, and therefore the campaign manager is responsible for that + the amount is less than $300.

The matter is different if scam is using more than one account and/or spam, as the user has advertised for the company, and therefore the campaign manager will not refund the money to them.

It's exactly like this story ---> I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2)

But this forum have a lot members, I believe with so many eyes, this case would have very low chance to happen again.
It would be a real bonus, a campaign manager who has this bot and analyzes users' posts, merits, etc. Instead of selecting members and counting the number of posts
1814  Other / Meta / Re: Gateway time-out Error code 504 on: May 19, 2023, 10:57:41 AM
It is the first time since 2017 that the server has stopped for all this time, and it is definitely not related to imgur or DDOS.
There was a problem with the server and we will report it soon.

I was afraid that the server was hacked because I use a useless recovery email, and I hope it is not hacked Cheesy.

For me it lasted more than 3 hours.
1815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest challenges of bitcoin... on: May 18, 2023, 10:45:06 AM
I personal see that there are scalability difficulties with cryptocurrencies, which means they may not be able to process enormous quantities of transactions at once. This might make them difficult to utilize for routine transactions, since these transactions may take too long to process and complete.
Scalability is one of the problems that have been studied and tried to reduce its risks since the early days of Bitcoin, and it is almost the reason for the emergence of most altcoins that promised to provide better solutions than Bitcoin to this problem, but failed to do so or at least were unable to provide a good price model compared to Bitcoin.

There is no wisdom in fear as long as there are many solutions that have been devised to end this problem. You have the sidechains and LN.
1816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Leak Reveals Secret Democratic Plan For A Game-Changing U.S. Crypto Crackdown on: May 18, 2023, 10:15:32 AM
The strange thing is the positive interaction of Bitcoin with every news related to regulatory restrictions, which is something that has been going on during the past few months and was quite the opposite happening during the past years. Therefore, we may not see a major price correction, but rather optimism due to the loss of many investors of their money when FTX went bankrupt.

Anyway, it's from Forbes, let's see confirmation of this news first.
1817  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My shoppy.gg payments are stuck on: May 18, 2023, 09:59:30 AM
From 28 march to onward, All my Btc shoppy.gg payments are stuck on network

This is more than a month and a half, and even if the transaction has low fees, it is either confirmed or that this transaction has been dropped, and if you are the receiving party of the transaction, then the platform software will give you the option to withdraw with fees that are considered good on average.

So, are you sure that you have withdrawn from a real account and that you have not been scammed? Can you still see the transaction in any block explorer?
1818  Economy / Economics / Re: Helpful mineral resources on: May 18, 2023, 09:33:39 AM
Wishes have no place here, as they stand against the economic launches of companies that make commercial profits from those cheap raw resources. Even if governments decide that, some countries will prevent them, as is happening in some African countries, as they cannot create their own currency and all of their local currencies are printed in France.

Therefore, the problem is political and economic, and this struggle for influence will not end with political solutions except with military and structural changes that enable the individuals of those countries to recover their resources, and until that happens, they will not be able to do many things.
1819  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US default a reality? on: May 18, 2023, 09:10:53 AM
what people dont realise is although US "owes" other countries $30trillion+
other countries "owe" the us substantial amounts too
I think you forgot the payment deadlines here, as the United States currently has a debt that is overdue, while many countries that borrow from the United States may not want to pay their debt now.
China, for example, all of its trade surplus is used in the form of dollars for nothing but manipulation of the value of yuan in order to promote exports.

I agree with you that the United States has several ways of repayment, so it can, for example, devalue its currency and thus reduce the value of its debts, but there are many catastrophic effects of this decision.
The easiest solution is more debt.
1820  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best crypto exchange - 247 CRYPTO on: May 18, 2023, 08:29:59 AM

After reading the comments above and seeing these fake reserves, I will choose to give a negative trust.
Unfortunately, many of these exchanges have become widespread in the hope that these scammers will get a few dollars, and they do not even want to develop the site to be selective scam, it is just lazy scammer that does not even want to respond to all above questions.

If there is any change, I can amend the trust.
