861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adaption in Turkey on: November 12, 2023, 12:39:25 PM
The presence of two or three stores that accept Bitcoin in one or two cities is not a sign that the government wants to promote Bitcoin or that Bitcoin is accepted in Turkey, but it is a sign because you can spend Bitcoin instead of converting it to cash, which is rare in many countries.
I think that high inflation in Turkey may not make such services suitable, as prices need to be adjusted on an almost daily basis, so do not expect to find many stores that accept Bitcoin, but I think that Turkish people will tell us the extent of adoption.
My last visit to Turkey was several years ago, so I hope that things will change in the coming years.
862  Other / Meta / Re: So I had a person send me a pm to beg for merits. on: November 12, 2023, 08:36:41 AM
I receive some of these messages, but I look at the user’s posts. If they look like account farming, I add them to the ignore list. If they are a beginner, I will inform him nicely or send them some Merits with a warning.

I don't know, but I fail to read the rules in other forums, and therefore we all make mistakes in the first days, so it is varies from one case to another.
863  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU Parliament Approves Data Act With Smart-Contract Kill Switch Provision on: November 11, 2023, 06:34:08 PM
And to beat a dead horse over and over and over again.

P.O.S. = piece of shit.

Mr. V still owes me two Eth coins from his reversal move done back in 2016 or 2017.

ETH is better than BSC and many altcoins, BSC has a fully centralized network of 21 validators and can return hacked coins. However, some people prefer to sell Bitcoin and buy WBTC on BSC. Cheesy

This is very rough work. If validators interfere with consensus, they will destroy the ecosystem and the price of their assets.
Therefore, the regulator acts more delicately, and soon all large projects will have white lists and KYC.
It will be a compromise for these people because they will not enter into conflict with the government or against legal legislation, but what is the wisdom in claiming that the investment is decentralized when you ask users for KYC, as long as the user submits his statement, CEXs are better than DEXs.
864  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Best Bitcoin Chart Ever on: November 11, 2023, 06:13:52 PM

And if you want to know my future prediction, it's of $178,000 in Oct-Nov of 2025. Do not sell. All the best!  Wink

Thanks for this, it's also what I have been seeing in my own chart as well a peak price of $180,000 but I don't what to let everyone knows about it. Not that I don't what to, but maybe I will be bashed by members,  Grin
Although $180,000 seems like an exaggerated price, we might get there, but even if someone tells you that the price will touch that level, you will sell at that point, and approximately less than 5% of traders sell at ATH so personally I would sell 10% to 30% in my price range between 120k to 150k (will change depend on bitcoin price) and I will accept any increase above that as a future selling point as I plan to keep Bitcoin for a longer time so trying to determine ATH in my opinion is not as important as determining the price range that Bitcoin can reach.
865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 11, 2023, 06:00:13 PM
I understand your desire to find someone to tell you or reassure you about a profitable investment that will earn you millions, but you will be the only one who will bear the loss. it is best for you to learn the basics of trading, technical analysis, how to choose the best platform for you according to your country, and then invest in the appropriate currency for the shortest possible to achieve success. and In the end, you will find that buying Bitcoin within next 12 months is the best investment if we ignore the risks or complications associated with investing in altcoin.
866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Enjoy being a newbie on: November 11, 2023, 05:22:36 PM
No one is asking you to appear better than you are. On the contrary, it is easy to know if a person is participating for the sake of learning and for merit points. Focus on learning, learn daily for an hour (read books or watch YouTube videos), and I am certain that the knowledge that will be You have enough within a month to write high-quality posts without needing to plagiarize.
867  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn from my experience how to protect yourself from crypto scam on: November 11, 2023, 05:15:51 PM
The advice is excellent, but it misses some essential information, such as using an open source operating system, and avoiding using and installing any unknown services.

 - Avoid randomly clicking on links.
 - Do not trust your friends if they send you links. They may not be them, or they may have sent you the link unintentionally.
 - Do not use Google 2FA, use an open source service and remember to be on a separate phone that is not connected to the Internet.
 - Always learn to research and know where to get correct technical information.*

* I remember a while ago I needed some driver SW and found that the first Google result gave me a phishing link for Nvidia services.
868  Economy / Reputation / Re: How easy do you think it is to invest in trust feedback in order to swindle? on: November 11, 2023, 05:01:59 PM
The longer the period and investments, the less the possibility of scam. For example, ChipMixer invested more than 100 bitcoins in the signature campaign, and therefore they will not scam for 10k. In fact, Sinbad and YoMix campaigns are doing it now, as I assume that the cost per week is $4,000, and therefore they worked for about a year or 48 weeks, and we can say They will not scam you for small amounts.

In general, I can say that any signature campaign that is more than 30 months old is safe for small transactions of less than $10K.

Therefore, all scam campaigns do not last more than a 10 months and if you check, you will find that all scam signature campaigns were closed before tthat due to the high costs compared to the profits.

Note here that I took one criterion to determine scam, which is signature campaigns, and I did not take details trust system.

+ If you notice any DT member placing positive trust without having tried the service and/or dealing with this member, it is best to remove him from your trust list.
869  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto arbitrage trading bot development to increase profit on: November 11, 2023, 04:25:49 PM
just from the words "100% profit guarantee" i already knew that this was a scam project. because if we use logic with 100% guaranteed profits, why not use it yourself and enjoy all the profits, why bother selling the service to other people? that alone can prove that this is a scam project. and there is no history of a trading bot being able to provide 100% profit because that is impossible to achieve.
True, the problem is that they guarantee you profit regardless of the amount of capital. If this were true, they would become rich in a short time. However, it seems that this scam succeeds.
I see that @OP is online and yet he doesn't seem to want to respond to them. These are all negative indicators that they are scammers, and I might put a negative trust on them if I hear complaints from others. Smiley
870  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU Parliament Approves Data Act With Smart-Contract Kill Switch Provision on: November 11, 2023, 04:10:31 PM
All of these smart contracts have a central point, as they are hosted in a central service, and therefore it is easy for them to send a letter to these central authorities, and since tokens are locked in these smart contracts, I expect that some decentralized exchanges will comply with the KYC option, which is ironic.

Could there be interests of other shitcoins behind this? As I read:
Quote
Organizations linked to blockchains like Stellar, Polygon, NEAR and Cardano expressed their concerns in an open letter at the time.
Some of these blockchains work on the principle of proof of stake, which means that there is a certain number of validators who can reverse the transaction and do whatever they want, and a judicial order can easily be directed to these validators.
871  Other / Meta / Re: A possible solution for broken images on the forum. on: November 11, 2023, 03:54:42 PM
Your topic reminded me of a small addition, which is that beginners may not have the interest in browsing the forum or downloading a script, so adding a warning at the top of any page that contains imgur images that you must visit or download a specific script to be able to view the topic would be useful.
-Otherwise, the members above mentioned all the important solutions and links.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin lose decentralization? on: November 11, 2023, 03:04:47 PM
Since miners decide which transactions to add to blocks and which ones not to add, governments can block them with a specific list of addresses.
This has already happened and we have the Marathon mining farm blocking Bitcoin addresses and adding an OFAC list. Not only that, they also prevented some transactions from being included in them blocks[1]. Unless these farms obtain a hashrate of more than 51%, making such lists will be useless, as anyone who has mined the block can list those transactions from those addresses.

873  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The mom of my friend got scammed 7.3k$ from coinbase usin an app like teamviewer on: November 08, 2023, 10:10:04 AM
Did this woman trust an unknown person on the Internet to share personal data with him without knowing more information about him? I mean, identifying the man using the available data is easier than tracking Bitcoin addresses, which may require court papers to recover your money.
Regarding Bitcoin addresses, they will most likely end up in a central wallet, but without starting legal investigations, you cannot ask these services to recover her money.
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can this be possible? on: November 08, 2023, 09:58:39 AM
Bugs happen often... not just those charts. This has happened on cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Binance, if I'm not mistaken, September 29 2023.
Bugs are possible, but they are often described as a random change in the price of Bitcoin or for any reason, but Bugs cannot do something like this in the chart, unless the problem is in the interface and not in executing orders.
In general, the chart is linked to CMC, so the effect will be non-existent for traders, except for some bots that use CMC or some INSTANT EXCHANGES.
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it Hold? BTC Targets $40,000 on: November 08, 2023, 09:44:01 AM
The $32k level was a resistance level for a long time, and therefore it will be a support level for a longer period, and as long as Bitcoin continues to stay above $30,000 for a longer period, a higher correction has also become unlikely, and as long as the option of a correction is ruled out, we have two options, one of which is for Bitcoin to rise to $42,000, or for us to remain at the same level. Currently, we are likely to test that level before settling at some point above $32k and below $42,000.
876  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Best Bitcoin Chart Ever on: November 08, 2023, 08:55:59 AM
I think you need to create a "Didn't I Tell You Again" series.

Because if you drew a chart every day, it's quite possible that one of them was accurate, and that doesn't mean that you suddenly become a trading guru and the prediction "$178,000 in Oct-Nov of 2025" is worth anything
especially since it seems to ignore everything except 1 parameter which is Bitcoin's halving cycles.
@ImThour has made predictions for the past two years on the forum and you can search his post history. This user shares his experience and I think his predictions are good compared to the real price, or at least what he does is based on technical analysis and not just speculation or false guessing. I hope he continues doing this for as long as possible.

by 2037 or 2041 they will be equal  and this will be the end of the 4 year cycle
Can you guess an approximate price for this? Will it be $600,000 or less?
877  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Display Blocktime additionally with the created posts on: November 08, 2023, 08:39:29 AM
for example, when creating this post, the block time/number would be 815832

Why? The block number is sequential and is not easy for humans to remember, so it will require the service of a third party to interpret the meaning. However, if you mean it as a way to archive topics, then showing topics based on the block number will make tracking discussions more difficult. It will also require more work on the database, as some topics will remain without a number. Until the block is mined.
Often it takes more than 20 minutes to mine a block. Will everyone wait until a block is mined to post a comment?
878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can this be possible? on: November 07, 2023, 10:35:00 PM
BITCOIN price chart is a function of time and the change in time cannot be negative, so all price charts are in one direction. This chart has either been modified as a joke or there is a bug, but I believe the screenshot is from CMC, so if it was a bug it would not affect traders because the data CMC gives average prices.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does a rotation of a DCA HODLing account wallet, guarantee safety from hackers? on: November 07, 2023, 10:22:19 PM
DCA HODLing is an investment strategy and it is simple, as buying Bitcoin periodically reduces the impact of the time factor on the price and thus, in the long run, you will achieve profits. You can easily set up an air-gapped wallet, save the seeds and generate a new key for each transaction without the need to reveal your private keys or return them. Use the same address to purchase if you do not care about your privacy.

There is no relationship between investment strategies and how to secure your account.
880  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal For Naija (Nigeria LB) Sub-Boards Creation on: November 07, 2023, 10:14:40 PM
That's not necessarily true as almost two years ago we (Croatian local board) got few childs boards, and neither of them were related to Bitcoin. First one was "Off-Topic" and the 2nd one was for altcoin announcement so it was separated from altcoin discussion.

We have a different experience, especially the alternative currencies section. It has become full of ANN and bounty topics. The number of active people in your local council may be limited.

In general, their chances of creating sub-boards related to technical section, wallets, beginners and help are higher than altcoin\off-topic.

Another benefit of this sub-board is that if the local board has its own moderator, it will make work easier for them, and it won't appear as if they are too harsh or not being considerate, as most posts that are not crypto-related and not entirely political and could have been deleted will be easily

I do not remember that there is any local sub-board mod only  Russian board have more than one mod.
